*** *** *** Impacts and Aspects of the Israeli Genocidal War on the Gaza Strip*** Qatari premier urges effective peace council, calls for Israeli withdrawal from Gaza Wednesday 21-January-2026 DAVOS, (PIC) Qatari premier Mu'hammed Al-Thani has affirmed that the international peace council formed by US president Donald Trump must be effective and serve as a stabilizing element, stressing the need for Israel to withdraw from the Gaza Strip. We have a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, but the killing continues, Al Thani said in press remarks on Tuesday. The premier pointed out that the humanitarian situation in Gaza still requires significant intervention and that restrictions must be lifted. Humanitarian aid must be allowed into Gaza without restrictions, he said. The ceasefire in Gaza is not complete, and it is necessary to ensure the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, he added. *** Palestinian PM Mustafa, Egyptian Foreign Minister discuss Gaza ceasefire and reconstruction efforts DAVOS, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) Palestinian Prime Minister, Mu'hammad Mustafa, discussed today with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr 'Abdul 'Aaty, the latest developments concerning efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as regional and international moves to rebuild the enclave in coordination with international partners. The talks took place on Wednesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, in the presence of Palestines ambassador to Switzerland and the United Nations in Geneva, Ibrahim Khraishi. Mustafa also reviewed developments in the West Bank amid continued Israeli military incursions into Palestinian areas, settler attacks, restrictions on the movement of citizens and goods, and the ongoing withholding of Palestinian tax revenues. Abdelatty reiterated Egyps firm rejection of any displacement of Palestinians from their land, stressing the need to safeguard the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and to intensify efforts to create the necessary political horizon for the realization of an independent Palestinian state. Both sides agreed to continue close coordination and to update joint plans to ensure a rapid response to relief efforts, economic recovery, and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, in a way that helps thwart displacement schemes and strengthens the resilience of the Palestinian people. GAZA, (PIC)
11 Palestinian civilians were martyred, including three journalists, two
children and one woman, and several others were wounded on

Gaza endures its coldest night of the year as displaced families battle
exposure and loss
Wednesday 21-January-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
As darkness fell, night in Gaza was not just a passage of hours but a
brutal test of survival.
The past night, described by meteorologists as the coldest of the year,
laid bare the scale of suffering endured by hundreds of thousands of
Palestinians, especially those crammed into makeshift tents that
resemble homes in name only.
Thin fabric walls shuddered with every gust of wind. Torn plastic
sheets, gaping holes never repaired, and damp ground that drained warmth
from exhausted bodies turned the cold into an all-consuming threat.
Inside his tent, 52-year-old Abu Khalil Siyam said he spent the night
pressing his hands against the plastic walls to block the wind from
reaching his children. “The cold bit into my fingers,” he said. “The
tent doesn’t protect us. We just try to convince ourselves we’re still
alive.”
In the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, a family of seven shares just two damp
blankets inside a tent only a few meters wide. Umm Yazan Suroor, 29,
said she wrapped her infant in her own clothes and covered the rest of
the children with a single blanket. “I watched their chests to make sure
they were still breathing,” she said. “I didn’t sleep for a minute. Fear
was stronger than exhaustion.”
With no mattresses, the ground itself became an enemy. Cold soil seeped
into bones, worsening joint pain among the elderly. “I put cardboard
under my back, but it didn’t help,” said 63-year-old Abu Ali Alwan,
displaced for months. “I used to complain about the cold at home. I
never knew the earth could be this cruel,” he added.
There was no electricity, no fuel, no firewood. In desperation, some
families burned scraps of cardboard or plastic despite the toxic smoke.
“We know it’s dangerous,” said 24-year-old Medhat Al-Khatib. “But the
children were shaking. We chose the lesser of two evils: smoke or
freezing.”
Sleep never truly came, only brief, uneasy dozes and a long wait for
dawn. When morning finally arrived, faces were pale, eyes bloodshot, and
bodies drained.
For Gaza’s displaced families, survivors of genocide now facing winter,
the cold has become another front in a relentless struggle to stay
alive. *** *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces ***
One Palestinian injured, others kidnaped by IOF in the West Bank
Wednesday 21-January-2026
WEST BANK, (PIC)
One Palestinian citizen was injured and others were kidnaped by the
Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) during dawn raids in the West Bank on
Wednesday.
According to local sources, the IOFs carried out arrests during raids in
the town of Ajja, south of Jenin.
IOF raids also took place in the towns of Silat al‑Harithiya
and al‑Yamun
in the west of Jenin, where Israeli forces reportedly kidnaped a young
man.
In the vicinity of Jenin refugee camp, specifically in al‑Hadaf
neighborhood, another young man was kidnaped by Israeli soldiers from
his home.
In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed the city from the Beit Furik
checkpoint, raiding a home in the Ein Kakoub area to the east and
another one in the town of Awarta southeast of the city.
Meanwhile, the Red Crescent reported that a young man was injured after
being severely beaten by Israeli soldiers at the Dair Sharaf checkpoint
west of Nablus.
In Jericho, the IOFs carried out a military campaign in Aqabat Jabr
refugee camp, where soldiers raided homes and kidnaped three citizens.
In Ramallah, Israeli special forces stormed al-Am’ari refugee camp in
al-Bireh City and kidnaped a young man from his home.
The IOFs also raided several homes in Deir Jarir village and Beitunia
town in Ramallah province, without making any arrests, while similar
raids were reported in other areas of the West Bank. *** IOFs arrested 2,300 Palestinians over one year in Jineen and Toulkarm Wednesday 21-January-2026 WEST BANK, (PIC) Over the past year, the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have arrested approximately 2,300 Palestinians in the northern West Bank governorates of Jineen and Toulkarm, as part of a campaign aimed at displacing tens of thousands and dismantling the camps urban and social infrastructure. The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported on Tuesday, marking one year since the launch of the military operation in the northern West Bank camps on January 21, 2025, that 2,300 Palestinians have been detained from the camps of Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams. The arrests have targeted all segments of society and were carried out as part of a sweeping and systematically escalating campaign. This included converting Palestinian homes into military outposts and interrogation sites, in addition to brutal physical assaults, torture, and direct threats to detainees and their families. According to the report, the IOF soldiers have used civilians as human shields and hostages, carried out looting and destruction, and demolished hundreds of homes, displacing tens of thousands and imposing a coercive reality on the population. These arrests form part of a broader campaign that has intensified since Israels genocide in Gaza began in October 2023. Over the course of that two-year war, more than 21,000 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank, in addition to thousands in Gaza. The PPS emphasized that mass arrests are a key tool used to repress Palestinian society and suppress any form of resistance. It warned that the post-genocide phase marks the most dangerous period in the history of detentions, with its impact extending across all Palestinian regions. The aim appears to be comprehensive subjugation and the erasure of Palestinian existence, especially within the camps, which have seen tens of thousands displaced and their infrastructure destroyed. Since Israel launched its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the military and settlers have escalated violence across the West Bank, including killings, arrests, forced displacement, and settlement expansion. Palestinians warn that this may be a prelude to the annexation of the West Bank by Israel. These attacks have killed at least 1,107 Palestinians and injured around 11,000 others, while over 21,000 have been arrested, according to official Palestinian data. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Trump administration support for the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** *** Illegal Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian bulldozers, vehicle, equipment in southern Nablus Wednesday 21-January-2026 NABLUS, (PIC) Illegal Israeli settlers set fire to three bulldozers, a vehicle, and other equipment early Wednesday morning in the village of Urif, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. According to local sources, a group of settlers attacked the village and burned machinery at a quarry site owned by a local Palestinian citizen. Meanwhile, other settlers, accompanied by their livestock, stormed privately owned Palestinian land near residential homes in the village of al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah. The attacks are part of a broader surge in settler violence across the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem, which has escalated significantly since the start of the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israeli forces in Gaza over the past two years. On Tuesday, settlers also obstructed the work of Palestinian election committee teams in eastern Tubas, while another settler attacked lands in the village of al-Mazraa al-Sharqiya northeast of Ramallah. In response, Palestinian youths pelted settler vehicles with stones near the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, as part of ongoing efforts to resist settler aggression and protect Palestinian lives and property. *** Illegal Israeli settler attacks force 20 more Palestinian families to flee El-'Auja area near Aree'ha (Jericho) Tuesday 20-January-2026 Aree'ha (Jericho), (PIC) Ongoing attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers have forced 20 additional Palestinian families to flee the Bedouin community of Shalal El-'Auja, north of Aree'ha (Jericho), raising the number of displaced families from the area to 37 within days, according to El-Baidar human rights organization. In a statement issued Monday, El-Baidar said families from El-Zayid clan were compelled to dismantle their tents and animal shelters and leave the area after escalating settler harassment and assaults carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. The organization said the attacks are part of a systematic campaign of forcible displacement targeting Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley. Residents have endured daily pressure, including settlers grazing livestock near and inside residential areas, blocking access to traditional grazing lands and water sources, erecting fences, and establishing nearby herding outposts to isolate the community. Al-Baidar added that settlers also used dogs and drones to intimidate residents, particularly women and children, along with verbal abuse and direct threats, making continued presence in the area impossible on humanitarian and security grounds. Shalal El-'Auja is one of the largest and oldest Bedouin communities in the West Bank, home to dozens of families who rely primarily on livestock herding for survival. The organization warned that the displacement deals a severe blow to the Bedouin social fabric and threatens a traditional way of life that has existed in the Jordan Valley for decades. Earlier this month, 17 families from the same community were also forced to leave following repeated settler attacks. A recent report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented the killing of 14 Palestinians by settlers in 2025 and the displacement of 13 Bedouin communities, comprising 197 families and more than 1,000 people, as part of a broader policy of forced displacement linked to settlement expansion. *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** OIC condemns Israeli demolition of UNRWA facilities, calls on the international community to uphold its responsibilities JEDDAH, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli occupation forces' storming and demolition of facilities belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem. The OIC considered this a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and its resolutions, the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, and the 1946 Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations. In a press statement issued Wednesday, the OIC affirmed that the occupation's targeting of UNRWA's headquarters in occupied Jerusalem is part of its illegal attempts to liquidate the refugee issue by undermining UNRWA's presence and its vital role, which stands as a testament to the international community's commitment to the Palestinian refugee question and the protection of their rights under relevant UN resolutions. The OIC also called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities. The organization reiterated its call to the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take the necessary decisions and measures to protect UNRWA's mandate, facilities, and staff, and to compel Israel the occupying power to cease its violations and respect its obligations under international law. K.T. *** European Commissioner slams Israeli demolition of UNRWA compound in Jerusalem's Shaikh Jarra'h BRUSSELS, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) The European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Haja Lahbib, condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' decision to storm and demolish the UN compound in El-Shaikh Jarra'h, run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). In a statement, Lahbib said that this action violates Israel's obligations under the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, which stipulates that member states must protect and respect the inviolability of UN premises. She called on the occupation authorities to immediately cease these actions. She added that, according to the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on October 22, 2025, Israel is obligated not to obstruct the work of UN bodies and to cooperate in good faith with them to ensure respect for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. Lahbib affirmed that the European Union is a strong supporter of the United Nations and the rules-based, multilateral international order, of which UNRWA is an essential part, noting that UN agencies play a pivotal role in maintaining international peace and security. She emphasized the European Union's commitment to continuing its political and financial support for UNRWA, stressing that the agency's work contributes to maintaining conditions conducive to peace and security, and that any disruption to its operations would have serious humanitarian, political, social, and economic repercussions. In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.
