The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), and Al-Dhameer Association for Human Rights stated in a report issued Sunday that the total number of kidnappings of Palestinians in the West Bank, since the start of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, has risen to more than 18,500, including over 570 women and about 1,500 children.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. Al-Hindi: We’ve received no new proposals, the West wants to Eliminate the resistance

Mu'hammed Al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that the resistance has not received any new ceasefire proposals for Gaza. He emphasized that the United States and the West are not seeking an end to the war until every group resisting Israel, not only in Palestine but across the region, is eliminated.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Al-Hindi stated that the negotiations have never been serious, not now and not in the past, because both Israel and the United States have backed away from proposals previously presented by US envoy Steve Wittkoff. He added that the Israeli military even bombed the negotiation delegation while they were discussing a proposal attributed to US President Donald Trump.

According to Al-Hindi, Wittkoff himself walked back the proposals that the resistance had already agreed to. He described the current outlook as “blocked” and said that no new ideas are being offered at this stage.

Al-Hindi also addressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s latest statement about achieving “victory as a path to peace.” He dismissed the statement as recycled rhetoric, noting that Netanyahu has made similar claims for the past two years but failed to achieve any strategic objectives, except the destruction of Gaza and efforts to displace its people.

He went on to say that Netanyahu is attacking nearly the entire region and has bombed five Arab capitals, exposing the criminal nature of Israel to the world. Even Western allies have started describing Israel’s actions in Gaza as war crimes.

Al-Hindi argued that recent Western recognitions of a Palestinian state are a response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. He noted that the two-state solution has been on the table since the Oslo Accords in 1994 and the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002 but was never seriously embraced until now.

He described the recognitions as a diplomatic defeat for Israel, though he stressed that they are not an end in themselves. Rather, they must be part of a broader process that halts Israel’s killing, destruction, and settlement expansion.

These recognitions, he said, should also compel Western and Arab states to reassess their normalization of relations with Israel and to reconsider political, security, and economic cooperation with the occupying power.

Al-Hindi also warned that these recognitions mean little if they are not used to halt the genocide in Gaza and the accelerating settlement activity in the West Bank. “Power dynamics,” he said, “are the ultimate decider in these matters.”

He emphasized that Arab positions are even more important now, as Netanyahu bombs five Arab countries and threatens to destabilize and dominate the region. According to Al-Hindi, the problem is not just with Hamas or Islamic Jihad, it’s with anyone who resists the occupation anywhere in the region.

He added that from the first day of the war, the U.S. and the West decided to wipe out any group that resists the Western project, Israel.

Al-Hindi stressed that the horrifying scenes of genocide in Gaza are intentional. “They’re not about defeating the resistance,” he said, “but about displacing Palestinians.” He also credited the mobilization of freedom advocates across Europe with pressuring their governments to shift their positions.

He concluded by saying that recognitions of Palestine must come with concrete steps, especially in revising military, security, and economic relations with Israel, and that they must not serve merely to absorb public anger.

Finally, he stated, “These recognitions demand a real and serious reassessment by regional countries of their ties with the occupation.” He added, “Stopping the war is the true test of these positions, and the balance of power is the real arbiter.”

International conference on two-state solution resumes in New York

NEW YORK, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

The High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and Implementing the Two-State Solution resumed on Monday evening at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The meeting is co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, with the participation of President Mahmoud Abbas via video conference, alongside several heads of state, government leaders, and representatives of international and regional organizations.

Saudi Arabia, in partnership with France, had led the preparatory meetings for this high-level conference during April and May 2025. Specialized working groups were formed to prepare for the sessions and identify practical outcomes.

The conference, originally scheduled for June 2025, was postponed due to the Israeli war on Iran. France and Saudi Arabia later agreed to hold it in two stages: the first on July 28 at the UN headquarters at the level of foreign ministers, which produced the “New York Declaration.”

The declaration outlined key commitments regarding the peace process and the two-state solution, emphasizing “concrete, time-bound, and irreversible steps” toward the establishment of two states.

Among its core points, the New York Declaration stressed the need for collective action to end the war in Gaza, called for Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and its transfer to the Palestinian Authority under the principle of “one government, one law, one weapon,” and reaffirmed that war, occupation, and forced displacement cannot bring peace or security.

The declaration reiterated that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine and must be united with the West Bank. It called for the immediate formation of a transitional administrative committee to operate in Gaza under the umbrella of the Palestinian Authority following a ceasefire.

Additionally, the declaration committed to mobilizing political and financial support for the Palestinian Authority to strengthen its institutional capacity, advance reforms, and assume responsibilities across the occupied Palestinian territories. It urged the immediate release of withheld Palestinian tax revenues, the establishment of a new framework for revenue transfers, and the integration of Palestine into the global monetary and financial system to secure long-term banking relations.

The declaration also stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and to adopt restrictive measures against violent extremist settlers and entities supporting illegal settlements in line with international law.

Furthermore, it urged Israel to issue a clear public commitment to the two-state solution, end violence and incitement against Palestinians, halt all settlement activity, land confiscation, and annexation measures in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, and abandon any annexation or settlement expansion policies.

The declaration concluded by affirming that coexistence and normalized relations among the peoples and states of the region can only be achieved through ending the occupation and establishing a sovereign Palestinian state.

President Abbas reaffirms Palestine's commitment to a comprehensive reform agenda

RAMALLAH, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

Palestinian Authority President, Ma'hmoud 'Abbas, speaking on behalf of the State of Palestine, reaffirmed the commitment of the Palestinian leadership to a comprehensive reform agenda that strengthens governance, transparency, and the rule of law, pledging to hold presidential and parliamentary elections within a year after the war ends.

Addressing the high-level International Conference on a Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, the President, the President pledged to draft a provisional constitution to ensure the transition from authority to statehood. This framework, he stressed, will exclude any parties or individuals who do not adhere to the political program of the Palestine Liberation Organization, international legitimacy, and will be overseen by international monitoring.

President 'Abbas expressed deep appreciation to the conference co-chairs, the United Nations, and all participating countries for the adoption of the historic New York Declaration by the UN General Assembly in July with an overwhelming majority.

He described it as a decisive step toward ending the humanitarian catastrophe, ending the occupation in line with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, and realizing an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel in peace, security, and good neighborliness.

He said the New York Declaration affirmed that the war against the Palestinian people must end immediately and sustainably, stressing that “siege, starvation, and destruction cannot be a path to security.”

He praised Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation efforts aimed at halting the war and commended Egypt and Jordan’s firm rejection of forced displacement, a stance supported by the international community.

The President underlined that the State of Palestine is the only legitimate authority capable of assuming full responsibility for governance and security in Gaza through an interim administrative committee linked to the Palestinian government in the West Bank, with Arab and international support.

He made clear that Hamas will have no role in governance, insisting that all factions must hand over their weapons to the Palestinian Authority, as “we seek one state, unarmed, under one law and one legitimate security force.”

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday evening that France has officially recognized the State of Palestine, marking a historic step in international diplomacy.

The announcement came during Macron’s address at the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held in New York.

“Since last July, events have escalated at a frightening pace,” Macron said. “It is our responsibility to preserve the two-state solution—Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security. UK Foreign Secretary warns Israel against West Bank annexation following recognition of Palestine

LONDON, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said she had warned Israel not to annex parts of the West Bank in response to the UK's recognition of a Palestinian state.

Speaking to reporters ahead the high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, which was held Monday evening at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where France and other European countries are scheduled to issue a similar declaration.

In response to a question about whether she feared Israel would use this announcement as a pretext for annexing the West Bank, Cooper said she had informed her Israeli counterpart of the need not to take such an action.

Cooper explained that recognizing Palestine is about protecting peace, justice, and vital security for the Middle East, pledging to continue working with everyone across the region to achieve this.

She continued, "Just as we recognize Israel, we must also recognize the right of the Palestinians to establish their own state."

On Sunday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United Kingdom recognizes the State of Palestine. Canada, Australia, and Portugal also announced their recognition of the establishment of Palestine.

Singapore to sanction Israeli colonist leaders, recognize Palestinian state

SINGAPORE, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

Singapore announced o Monday that it would impose sanctions on Israeli colonist leaders and recognize the Palestinian state under the right conditions, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website.

Addressing the situation in the Middle East before the parliament, Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan affirmed Singapore’s opposition to Israel’s colonial settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank, with reference to the so-called E1 plan.

“Singapore has consistently held that Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. We have voted in support of UN resolutions that reject Israeli settlement activities and have called on Israel to rescind all unilateral measures seeking to change the status of Jerusalem,” he said.

“We call on the Israeli government to cease settlement construction and expansion. We oppose ongoing attempts to create new facts on the ground which undermine the prospects for a two-State solution,” he added.

“Consequently, Singapore will impose targeted sanctions on the leaders of radical right-wing settler groups or organizations that have been responsible for acts of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank,” he added, and pointed out that the details would be announced at a later date.

He warned that Israeli annexation plans and colonial settlement construction in E1 “will fragment the West Bank and threaten the contiguity of Arab towns in the Occupied Palestinian Territories even further.”

On Palestinian statehood, he said that it was a matter of when, not if. But there must be an appropriate constellation of factors.

He added: “Ultimately, to resolve this longstanding conflict in a comprehensive, just, and durable manner, there needs to be a negotiated settlement which results in two States – one Israeli, one Palestinian – with their peoples living alongside each other in peace, security, and dignity.”

China affirms Gaza is ‘inseparable’ part of the Palestinian territory

China affirmed on Monday that the Gaza Strip is an ‘inseparable’ part of the Palestinian territory.

“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inseparable part of the Palestinian territory,” Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated in a regular press conference in Beijing.

Reiterating the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, Jiakun said: “China believes that facing the current situation, a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza must be pursued and the humanitarian catastrophe must be alleviated with utmost sense of urgency.”

Criticizing the US for the failure to take serious action against Israel, Jiakun noted that “the country with special influence on Israel needs to step up to the responsibility.”

“The principle of “Palestinians governing Palestine” must be observed and the legitimate national rights of Palestine ensured in the post-conflict governance and reconstruction arrangement. The two-State solution must remain the path forward, which requires more global consensus and zero unilateral action that erodes the foundation of the two-State solution,” he added.

He reiterated that China’s readiness to “work with the international community to remain committed to a ceasefire in Gaza, firmly support the Palestinian people’s just cause of regaining their legitimate national rights, and make unremitting efforts toward a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine at an early date.”

Russia affirms two-state solution only path to resolving Middle East conflict

Germany urges negotiations and ceasefire to preserve two-state solution

BERLIN, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

Germany has emphasized the importance of starting the two-state solution process through negotiations, warning any Israel move to annex occupied territories would threaten a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul affirmed that the only way out of the current situation is an immediate ceasefire, the release of all prisoners, and allowing humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza.

Health Ministry says 61 killed, 220 injured in past 24 hours

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said Monday that 61 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll since October 2023 to 65,344 people.

A ministry statement said that 220 other people were also injured in the past day, bringing the total injuries to 166,795.

“Many victims remain under the rubble and on the roads as rescue teams are unable to reach them,” the Ministry added.

At least 12,785 people have been killed and 54,754 injured since March 18, when Israel resumed its attacks on the territory after a brief ceasefire and prisoner swap, the ministry said.

It added that 23 Palestinians were injured by Israeli army fire while seeking humanitarian aid over the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 2,523 Palestinians have been killed and more than 18,496 others wounded while trying to get humanitarian assistance since May 27.

An Israeli drone strike on Monday evening assassinated a Palestinian in Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that an Israeli combat drone opened fire at a Palestinian civilian in the neighborhood, killing him.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes that resulted in killing 12,785 Palestinians and injuring 54,754 others.

In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 61 slain Palestinians and 220 injuries were admitted to Gaza hospitals.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 65,344 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 166,795 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

According to medical sources, dozens of people were killed and others were injured, as Israeli fighter jets struck a residential building in the Al-Samar area in central Gaza City.

In the meantime, one civilian was killed and others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house near Al-Shifa Tower, west of Gaza City.

A child was killed when a drone struck a vehicle in the Al-Farouq neighborhood, east of the town of Al-Zawayida, in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli warplanes also carried out intensive strikes on civilian homes near Al-Quds Open University, northwest of Gaza City.

Since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, over 65,344 Palestinians, the majority of them children and women, have been killed, with more than 166,000 reported wounded.

At least 29 Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire and ongoing shelling of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Monday, including 25 from Gaza City.

Medical sources said that the Al-Ranteesi Children's and Eye Hospitals have gone out of service due to the ongoing shelling of the hospitals' surroundings, in addition to the destruction of the Medical Relief Center in Gaza City.

Al-Ranteesi Hospital had been directly targeted by Israeli airstrikes days earlier, causing extensive damage.

Al-'Uyoun Hospital is the only public hospital providing eye services in the Gaza Strip, and so is Al-Ranteesi Hospital, which offers services that are only available at this hospital.

Medical sources emphasized that Israel is deliberately and systematically destroying the health care system in the Gaza Strip as part of its policy of genocide against the Strip.

Israel shuts down Zikim crossing, blocks aid entry into Gaza as part of starvation policy

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza said on Monday that Israel is enforcing a starvation policy by closing the “Zikim crossing” and blocking the entry of aid trucks for ten consecutive days without justification.

In a statement, the PGMO confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have sealed the Zikim crossing for the past ten days, preventing any trucks from entering. At the same time, Israel has sharply reduced aid deliveries through the Karm Abu Salim and Kissufim crossings, both of which it has closed repeatedly in recent weeks.

The PGMO stressed that Gaza requires more than 600 aid trucks daily to cover the bare minimum needs of over 2.4 million people, amid near-total collapse of infrastructure due to ongoing genocide and systematic destruction.

It held Israel and its allies fully responsible for the escalating humanitarian catastrophe, calling on the United Nations, Arab and Muslim countries, and the international community to take urgent and decisive action to open the crossings and ensure the steady flow of humanitarian aid, especially food, baby formula, and life-saving medicines.

The PGMO also called for holding Israel accountable for its “horrific crimes against defenseless civilians.”

Prisoners' institutions call on Gaza families to contact them to uncover relatives' fate

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) called on the families of detainees from Gaza, who have not previously communicated with institutions, to contact them to find out the fate of their relatives, as the occupation army continues to carry out detention operations in light of the ongoing war of extermination.

In a joint statement issued on Monday, they stressed the need to use the attached link below to enter the data of those arrested from Gaza, so that their places of detention can be checked and, later, to visit them in prisons and camps: https://cda.gov.ps/gaza.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has issued an urgent appeal to residents to donate blood, announcing that the death toll from Israel’s genocide has risen to 65,344 martyrs and 166,795 injuries since October 7, 2023.

In an official statement, the ministry called on residents across the Gaza Strip to immediately head to local hospitals to donate blood and help save the lives of wounded individuals.

The ministry emphasized that there is an acute need for rare blood types, especially O negative, due to a severe shortage that threatens to deplete blood bank reserves.

“Your donation today could be a lifeline for thousands of wounded and ill individuals teetering between life and death. Every drop of your blood could mean a new life for someone else,” the statement read.

Daily toll and ongoing crisis

In its daily statistical report, the ministry confirmed that hospitals in Gaza received 61 martyrs and 220 injuries in the past 24 hours alone, raising the total toll to 65,344 killed and 166,795 wounded.

From March 18, 2025, until today, the Ministry documented 12,590 martyrs and 53,884 injuries, highlighting the ongoing and massive scale of human loss in Gaza.

The Health Ministry also reported that the number of Palestinians killed while waiting for food aid has climbed to 2,523 martyrs, with over 18,496 injuries, including 23 injuries in just the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that El-Ranteesi Children’s Hospital and the Eye Hospital have gone completely out of service as a result of Israel’s ongoing attacks on the vicinity of the two hospitals, in addition to the destruction of a medical relief center in Gaza City.

The ministry explained in a press statement El-Ranteesii Hospital had been directly bombed a few days ago, causing extensive damage. The Eye Hospital is the only public hospital providing ophthalmology services in Gaza Governorate, while El-Ranteesi is the main center offering essential services that are unavailable elsewhere.

The Ministry stressed that the occupation army is “deliberately and systematically targeting the healthcare system in Gaza Governorate as part of the genocide it is waging on the Strip,” warning that all facilities and hospitals now lack safe routes for patients and the wounded to reach them.

It noted that patients and the injured are facing extreme difficulty in reaching the Jordanian Field Hospital and Al-Quds Hospital due to ongoing bombardment. The ministry renewed its call on all concerned parties to “urgently provide protection for health institutions and medical staff” in the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Sunday, the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital, which operates in the Al-Mawasi area in southwestern Gaza, home to one million Palestinians, announced it has suspended all scheduled surgeries and will only perform life-saving operations due to severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies.

Earlier, the World Health Organization confirmed that the occupation forces have systematically targeted the healthcare system in Gaza, bombing hospitals, striking medical facilities, and threatening the lives of staff and patients.

It stressed that such actions could amount to war crimes, noting that the few remaining hospitals are overcrowded and critically undersupplied. Patients are suffering and dying from preventable causes.

The WHO added, “The impact of this genocidal war extends beyond direct attacks. The Israeli authorities have deliberately tightened the noose on Gaza, imposing a total blockade and strict restrictions on fuel, water, food, and medical supplies.”

It confirmed that this policy of collective punishment has achieved its brutal goal, with deliberate starvation leading to a declared famine. “A recent survey conducted in our Gaza clinics revealed that 25% of pregnant or breastfeeding women suffer from malnutrition, which may increase the risk of fetal deaths, miscarriages, and premature births,” WHO added.

Two young men were injured by rubber bullets in Ya'bad, while a woman sustained bruises, at dawn on Monday, during an Israeli raid into the towns of Ya'bad and Rummana in Jineen.

Local sources said that two young men were injured by rubber bullets in the chest and hand by Israeli forces at the eastern entrance to Ya'bad.

They were taken to the hospital, where their injuries were described as minor.

Israeli forces continue to close the entrances to the town with earth mounds.

Meanwhile, a woman was injured after being assaulted by Israeli forces in the town of Rummana, west of Jenin. She was taken to the hospital.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed Rummana with several military vehicles, raided and searched homes, and raided several shops, vandalizing their contents.

A Palestinian kidnapped, as the illegal Israeli settlers set fire to vehicle in Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped a Palestinian citizen from Masafir Yatta on Monday, while a group of the illegal Israeli settlers also set fire to a vehicle and set up a tent in the Hebron district.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra told WAFA that IOFs stormed the village of Khallet Al-Dhaba' in Masafir Yatta and arrested Sulayman El-Dabbasa after raiding and searching his home.

Local sources told WAFA that heavily armed illegal settlers from the Khafat Gal colony, built on Palestinian lands and property east of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), set fire to a vehicle belonging to 'Obayda 'Abdul Hadi 'Eisa Idrees, and fled.

The settlers also set up a tent on Palestinian lands east of the Igween area in the town of Al-Samou', south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

The Israeli occupation forces also detained a number of citizens at Al-Mukhtar Roundabout, near Tariq Bin Ziyad School in the southern part of Hebron, and forced them to stop their vehicles on the roads, blocking them and preventing citizens from crossing. The forces also seized the keys.

Clashes erupt following IOFs West Bank raids

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) continued their wide-scale raids and incursions early Monday morning across various cities and towns in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, during which arrests were reported and confrontations broke out, with citizens subjected to assaults.

In al-Khalil, the IOFs stormed several neighborhoods, raiding homes and arresting Shaikh Mustafa Shawar, head of the Palestinian Scholars League. The campaign also extended to the towns of Bani Na’eem and Soureef.

In Ramallah, the village of Al-Mughayir northeast of the city was raided, and one home was set ablaze after being stormed, resulting in extensive damage.

In Nablus, simultaneous raids were carried out across refugee camps and towns, including Balata refugee camp, Old 'Askar, New 'Askar, and the town of Qusra south of the city, where arrests were made and intense clashes erupted.

Raids also targeted the town of Tammoun south of Tubas, and the town of Ya’bad south of Jenin, where two civilians were injured during confrontations.

The IOFs also stormed Beer Zait University north of Ramallah, entering the university campus.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the village of Al-'Asakra east of the city was raided, while the town of 'Hal'houl north of al-Khalil witnessed a wide-scale arrest campaign.

In Toulkarm, simultaneous raids were conducted in the towns of Qaffeen and 'Anabta, in the northern and eastern parts of the governorate.

Also in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters at civilians and school students on Airport Road near Qalandya Refugee Camp, causing numerous cases of suffocation.

These raids are part of an escalating military campaign in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where Israeli forces have intensified their operations, systematically targeting civilians, educational institutions, and places of worship in an attempt to tighten control over the region.

Widespread Palestinian calls have been issued urging an escalation of resistance against the Israeli forces and settlers across the West Bank.

Warnings over deteriorating health of female detainee Fidaa Assaf in Israeli prisons

Human rights organizations have raised alarms over the worsening health condition of Fidaa 'Assaf, a detainee from the town of Kafr Laqeef, east of Qalqilya, who has been held in Israeli prisons for the past seven months.

Sources report that 'Assaf is facing a real threat to her life, as she suffers from leukemia, which has significantly worsened due to deliberate medical neglect.

According to prisoner support groups, 'Assaf, currently held in Damon Prison, is experiencing a severe health decline as her cancer has worsened under the harsh and inhumane detention conditions endured by female prisoners.

During a previous legal visit, her lawyer confirmed that her illness was stable before her arrest. However, recent medical tests showed a dangerous increase in tumor markers, indicating a direct and negative impact of the prison environment on her health.

'Assaf also reported that the female detainees are deprived of basic necessities such as hygiene products, personal care items, and adequate clothing. They are also denied access to purchase essentials from the prison canteen.

Recently, they were completely barred from going outside for recreation (“fura time”). Only in recent days were they allowed 20 minutes per day. They remain entirely cut off from the outside world, especially under the state of emergency and the ongoing ban on legal visits.

'Assaf stated that she was arrested on February 24, 2025, while returning from the Ramallah Medical Complex after undergoing medical tests. During the arrest, she was subjected to multiple strip searches, verbally abused with obscene insults, and detained in a filthy, insect-infested cell without water or food for several days.

Fidaa 'Assaf is a married mother from Kafr Laqeef in the Qalqilya Governorate.

Israeli occupation forces set fire to a house, kidnap dozens of Palestinians near Ramallah

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) burned parts of a house and kidnapped dozens of citizens at dawn on Monday, during a raid on the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

Local and security sources reported that the IOFs burned parts of a house belonging to expatriate Jamal 'Abdullah Al-Na'san after throwing sound and tear gas bombs inside.

Meanwhile, IOFs turned the house of Wafeeq Saleem Abu 'Aliya into an investigation center and interrogated approximately 30 citizens after conducting random raids before releasing them.

The sources reported that IOFs stormed the Umm Al-Sharayit neighborhood in Al-Beereh city. No raids or kidnappings were reported.

In a pre-dawn raid on Monday, Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed Beer Zait University in Ramallah, deploying dozens of soldiers, military vehicles, and a surveillance drone.

Local sources said troops broke through the university gates from multiple directions after detaining campus security guards. Soldiers ransacked university facilities, destroyed student movement displays, tore down banners supporting Gaza and honoring martyrs, and defaced national slogans.

The IOFs also posted leaflets inside the campus, directly threatening the Islamic Bloc, the student arm of 'Hamas, and warning against its activities. Resistance-themed posters and flags were confiscated.

Ghassan El-Barghouthi, the Dean of Student Affairs at Beer Zait University, reported that 11 IOF vehicles entered the campus. Soldiers assaulted five members of the university’s security staff, leaving them with bruises and injuries.

He said several faculties and facilities were raided, including the arts and literature buildings, as well as Naseeb Shaheen Theater.

El-Barghouthi added that murals inside the theater were vandalized, along with exhibits prepared for welcoming new students. The murals, he noted, depicted the destruction of academic institutions in Gaza.

Hundreds of the illegal Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy police protection

Around 300 of the illegal Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning through the Maghariba Gate, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police forces, as part of activities marking the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

The raids included blowing the shofar inside the courtyards of the Mosque, in an attempt to impose Talmudic rituals and create new Judaization realities at the holy site.

Since early morning, the Israeli police imposed strict security measures across Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), setting up military checkpoints throughout the Old City and restricting Palestinian worshippers’ access to al-Aqsa.

According to the Islamic Waqf Department in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the illegal Israeli settlers carried out provocative tours inside the courtyards, performing rituals linked to the so-called “Temple” in the eastern area of the Mosque.

These included chanting, clapping, and blowing the shofar, while occupation forces tightened restrictions at the Mosque’s gates and throughout the Old City.

Israeli police had earlier announced special security arrangements for the Jewish holidays, which officially begin on Tuesday, confirming that settler raids on al-Aqsa would increase during this period.

The latest incursion was carried out in response to calls by the illegal Israeli extremist settler groups, which urged their followers to storm al-Aqsa between September 22–24 in record numbers to entrench Jewish rituals inside the holy Islamic compound.

Observers warned that these repeated incursions are part of a systematic campaign to erase Jerusalem’s Islamic and historical identity, distort the historical narrative, and undermine Muslim sovereignty over the Mosque, paving the way for further assaults on its sanctity.

Al-Aqsa has been subjected to near-daily assaults by settlers and Israeli police forces, excluding Fridays and Saturdays, with morning and evening groups entering under police escort. These measures form part of attempts to impose temporal and spatial division of the holy compound.

Israeli police forces have ordered dozens of Palestinian families in the Batn El-Hawa area of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), to evacuate their homes, threatening the displacement of nearly 300 people in favor of settler groups.

Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) sources said on Monday that residents of 37 apartments now face forced eviction under a settlement scheme pushed by the “Ateret Cohanim” association, which claims ownership of five dunums and 200 square meters of land in Batn El-Hawa, based on allegations dating back to 1881.

The plan targets between 30 and 35 residential buildings housing 80 families, roughly 600 people, who have lived in the neighborhood for decades with official documentation proving residency.

Zuhair El-Rajabi, head of the Batn El-Hawa neighborhood committee in Silwan, said 250 residents living in 26 homes received new eviction orders on Sunday from the Israeli central court, aimed at seizing their properties in favor of settlers.

He noted that an additional 11 apartments in three adjacent buildings belonging to El-Rajabi families, Ya'qoob, Nidhal, and Fat'hi, are now under immediate threat, putting about 60 people at risk.

El-Rajabi condemned the measures as “forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian Maqdisis (Jerusalemites) to replace them with settlers,” vowing that residents “will remain steadfast in their homes until the very last moment.”

El-Basboos family also received eviction notices for their homes, which shelter 30 people in Batn El-Hawa.

Family member Bilal El-Basboos said they have been engaged in a “battle for existence” for years against demolition and eviction orders targeting their homes overlooking the al-Aqsa Mosque.

He stressed that despite enormous challenges, the family refuses to abandon their homes or comply with occupation orders.

These latest eviction notices are part of a wider Judaization campaign aimed at driving Palestinians out of Jerusalem to make way for settlement groups.

Notably, El-Basboos family’s grandparents were expelled from the village of Al-Dawayima in 1948 by Zionist militias, and today, settler organizations are pursuing their descendants to displace them once again from their homes in Silwan.

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening sealed off the entrance of Al-Ram town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according local sources.

They said the occupying soldiers closed the northern entrance of the town, denying the inhabitants free access into and out of the town and causing traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, infantry forces deployed at the nearby checkpoint of Jaba’, forcing Palestinians to take lengthy and convoluted detours to reach their destination or houses.

The Israeli occupation forces have been tightening military measures across the occupied West Bank since hours after the release of the first batch of Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire went into effect in January, dismembering and isolating cities and governorates from one another using military gates, barriers, and concrete blocks.

They have severely restricted Palestinians’ freedom of movement within the occupied West Bank through a complex combination of approximately 898 fixed and flying checkpoints and gates, including 18 gates that have been installed since the start of 2025 and 146 others installed in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, settler-only roads, over 200 military bases, and various other physical obstructions.

The Israeli military measures are in parallel with ongoing attacks by Israeli colonists across the West Bank to terrorize Palestinians and displace them from their lands to seize them and build illegal Jewish colonies that separate Palestinian communities.

Closures, besides other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 58-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project, which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.

Israeli occupation forces tightened movement restrictions to the west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the occupation forces closed the gates at the entrances of Ni'leen, Shuqba, and Dair 'Ammar, denying Palestinians access into and out of these villages.

The gun-toting soldiers also restricted the movement of Palestinian vehicles and individuals in some 10 other villages and town, west of Ramallah, disrupting the daily life of Palestinian civilians, and forcing them into long queues.

Mass protests sweep Italian cities against Gaza genocide, calls for sanctions on Israel

ROME, September 22, 2025 (WAFA) –

Several Italian cities witnessed widespread demonstrations and strikes on Monday, in response to union calls to condemn the genocide in Gaza and demand economic and diplomatic sanctions against Israel.

In Rome, hundreds of high school students gathered in front of Termini Station, waving Palestinian flags and chanting "Free Palestine."

Demonstrations also took place in Milan, Turin (north), Florence (central), Naples, Bari, and Palermo (south).

In Genoa and Livorno (north-central), dock workers blocked the port docks, according to Italian news agencies.

In Rome, several buses stopped running, and metro service was disrupted.

A poll conducted by the Only Numbers Institute reported that 63.8% of Italians described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as "very serious," and 40.6% supported the recognition of a Palestinian state.

Libyan ship, 'Omar El-Mukhtar, sets sail to join Global Sumud Flotilla

The ship 'Omar Al-Mukhtar has set sail from the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to join the Global Sumud Flotilla, which aims to break the Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip for 19 years.

The 'Omar El-Mukhtar ship’s coalition confirmed that it departed on Sunday after being equipped with a fully integrated emergency medical unit named after Palestinian doctor 'Hosam Abu Safiya, designed to provide urgent care and monitor the health of participants in the flotilla should any incidents occur. The Libyan Emergency Authority has also allocated a helicopter to ensure emergency rescue operations during the sea voyage.

The ship carries around 20 people, including Libyan doctors, human rights activists from Western countries, as well as various humanitarian aid supplies, including tents, medicines, food for newborns, and essential provisions.

Among the prominent figures on board are former Libyan Prime Minister Omar Al-'Hasi, and international activists, including a Scottish human rights advocate and another from Canada.

The ship’s spokesperson, Nabeel Al-Sukni, said that the departure had been delayed for several days due to poor weather and logistical arrangements, noting that “the ship is now fully equipped, funded, and ready for the journey.”

This comes at a time when dozens of ships within the Global Sumud Flotilla are sailing toward Gaza, loaded with humanitarian and medical aid.

The International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza announced that the ships will soon gather near Maltese shores before collectively sailing toward Gaza’s coastline.

Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance drones have been observed flying at low and medium altitudes over several of the flotilla’s ships in the Mediterranean Sea, indicating close Israeli monitoring of their movements.

This marks the first move of its kind on this scale since the beginning of the Israeli blockade on Gaza, with dozens of ships from various countries joining in a coordinated attempt to break the siege.

International Committee reports drone flights over Sumud Flotilla

The International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza announced on Sunday that it has observed repeated drone flights over the ships of the “Sumud Flotilla,” noting that some of these drones approached the vessels at unusually close range.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Committee stated that this “unprecedented level of drone activity is concerning.”

On Saturday, the head of the Committee, Zahir Birawi, said that the “Global Sumud Flotilla” which includes hundreds of participants and volunteers and is the 38th attempt to break the siege on Gaza has set sail collectively towards the Gaza Strip, in the largest maritime movement of its kind.

Birawi explained, in press statements, that “44 ships have already departed from Italian ports, while 6 other ships are preparing to join from Greek ports,” pointing out that “the flotilla’s direct destination is Gaza.”

He estimated that “the journey will take about a week to reach the shores of the Strip,” which has been under a crippling Israeli blockade for more than 17 years, according to Quds Press.

The “Global Sumud Flotilla” set sail on Friday from off the coast of the Italian island of Sicily, heading towards the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli assault, with Western and American support, for two years, an assault that has killed or wounded more than 231,000 people.

Last week, the largest ship in the flotilla was targeted by a drone off the Tunisian coast, starting a fire on board.

The departure of the flotilla towards Gaza, aiming to break the blockade, had been postponed several times due to weather conditions, according to the organizers of the global campaign.

This flotilla is part of the “Global Sumud Flotilla,” which includes about 50 ships, 23 from North African countries and 22 foreign vessels, with delegations participating from European and Latin American countries, in addition to activists from the United States, Pakistan, India, and Malaysia.

This is the first time such a large number of ships has sailed collectively toward the Gaza Strip, where more than 2.4 million Palestinians live under siege.

It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces have previously intercepted similar ships, seized them, and deported the activists on board.

Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings into the Strip, worsening the humanitarian disaster and triggering a severe famine, despite thousands of aid trucks waiting at the borders, prevented from entering.

Although small amounts of aid are intermittently allowed in, they do not meet even the minimum needs of the population. At the same time, the Gaza Government Media Office has confirmed that Israel provides protection for gangs that loot the aid.

Activists participating in the “Global Sumud Flotilla” are anticipating all possible scenarios during their journey to Gaza, stressing that Israel may use multiple tactics to thwart the mission.

Nevertheless, the activists affirm that no threats or escalations will deter them from continuing, emphasizing that the blockade is no longer just a Palestinian issue, but a global moral struggle requiring broad humanitarian participation.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with Western and American backing, has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza, which has so far killed or injured more than 231,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, displaced hundreds of thousands, and caused famine that has already claimed the lives of 432 Palestinians, including 146 children.
