While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Lazzarini renews call to lift Israeli ban on UNRWA

NEW YORK, October 4, 2025 (WAFA) –

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini renewed his call on Saturday for Israel to lift its ban on the agency's operations, stressing the urgent need to support Palestinians amid ongoing efforts to secure a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Lazzarini described the current situation as "a welcome and rare momentum to reach a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and pave the way for a long-term solution to end the decades-long conflict."

He called it "a rare window of hope to allow the UN, including UNRWA, to address famine and the suffering of over two million people with unspeakable needs."

He emphasized the importance of education, noting that UNRWA has the expertise and workforce to support the gradual return of more than 660,000 children living in rubble-affected areas to formal schooling.

Lazzarini urged the lifting of the siege and the ban on UNRWA international staff and humanitarian supplies, stressing that these measures are critical to supporting Palestinians at this moment.

UN humanitarian chief reiterates call for access to Gaza

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher said on Friday that Trump’s Gaza plan “opens a window of opportunity” to get aid into the Gaza Strip and secure the release of Israeli captives held in the enclave.

“We are ready and eager to act,” Fletcher said in a statement, noting that the UN has “170,000 metric tons of food, medicine, shelter and other desperately needed supplies poised to enter Gaza from across the region.”

“For our lifesaving plan to succeed, we need: open crossings; safe movement for civilians and aid workers; unrestricted entry of goods; visas for staff; the space for humanitarians to operate; and the private sector to be revived,” Fletcher said.

“This nightmare has gone on too long. Every minute of delay brings more misery. But we now have a chance to deliver. We call on all parties to agree to a ceasefire, give us the access, let us work,” the UN official added.

Israel has upheld a relentless blockade on Gaza for months, cutting off vital humanitarian aid and plunging the territory into a dire humanitarian crisis marked by extreme deprivation and escalating famine.

Rights group calls for urgent deployment of technical teams to recover bodies under the rubble

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Enforced Disappeared has urged the international community to take immediate action to deploy specialized technical teams and equipment into Gaza to assist in recovering the bodies of thousands of victims trapped under the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israel’s relentless airstrikes over the past year.

In a statement issued Saturday, the center said local authorities in Gaza are unable to handle the tens of thousands of tons of debris left behind by the ongoing Israeli attacks.

The center estimated that between 8,000 and 9,000 Palestinians remain missing, with most believed to be trapped under rubble or in areas controlled by Israeli military forces in northern, central, and southern Gaza.

The statement warned that the continuation of Israeli bombardment, even after US president Donald Trump called for a halt to attacks to implement his plan, obstructs humanitarian efforts to recover and identify bodies. It also increases the risk of losing more civilians trapped under debris or in besieged areas.

The center called on the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the broader international community to immediately deploy heavy lifting equipment and forensic identification technologies to Gaza. It also demanded an immediate cessation of attacks and the provision of safe corridors for both local and international rescue teams to carry out their humanitarian mission.

Civil Defense: The situation in Gaza is extremely dire and rescue efforts are fraught with danger

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Ma'hmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, has affirmed that the situation in Gaza City is extremely difficult, as the Israeli occupation army continues to directly target civilians.

In a statement to Safa News Agency on Friday, Basal said, “The occupation is committing massacres against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip to this very moment, without adhering to any international laws or conventions that call for the protection of civilian lives during wartime.”

He added that the reality is grim and the resources available to them are extremely limited and modest, falling far short of what’s needed to respond to the aftermath of these massacres and the ongoing catastrophe in the Strip.

Basal stressed that the efforts of the Civil Defense are extremely challenging and highly dangerous, noting that one of their colleagues died after being injured during a direct Israeli strike on Al-Fala'h School.

He pointed out that seven Civil Defense personnel were injured while performing their professional duty to rescue the wounded inside the school.

He emphasized that ending the war and pressuring Israel to stop its massacres is the optimal solution to save lives and end the suffering endured by the people of Gaza.

Amnesty: Israel’s escalation in Gaza city sparks catastrophic displacement

Saturday 4-October-2025

LONDON, (PIC)

Amnesty International has sounded the alarm over what it describes as a “catastrophic wave of mass displacement in Gaza City,” triggered by Israel’s intensified military offensive since mid-August.

The rights group says hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, many already displaced multiple times, have been forced into overcrowded and under-resourced areas in the southern Gaza Strip, where basic necessities are scarce.

According to Amnesty, the Israeli military has employed aggressive tactics to drive civilians out of Gaza City, including mass evacuation orders, targeted demolitions of residential buildings, and intensified aerial bombardments of densely populated areas.

The organization accuses Israel of deliberately creating panic and forcing civilians into unsafe zones lacking adequate shelter, food, water, and medical care.

“As Israel steps up its cataclysmic onslaught, it appears hell-bent on obliterating Gaza City, deliberately driving out its entire population, leveling large swathes of the city, and seizing full control. For nearly two years, Palestinians civilians throughout the Gaza Strip have been bombarded, starved, and subjected to wave after wave of mass forced displacement, as Israel continues its genocide in Gaza. Deliberately inflicting yet another devastating wave of mass displacement amidst this suffering is not just inhumane, it is a flagrant violation of international law,” Erika Rosas, senior director of research, advocacy, policy, and campaigns at Amnesty International, said on Friday.

The humanitarian fallout has been severe. Hospitals and clinics are collapsing, and major aid organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières and the International Committee of the Red Cross have suspended operations in the city due to Israel’s escalation of its attacks, according to the rights group.

Amnesty has called on the international community to take urgent action for the Gaza Strip. “Palestinians in Gaza have long been passed the point of no return, each day costs lives and crushes humanity,” the organization said.

“States must uphold their obligations under international law to bring Israel’s genocide against Palestinians to an end. Symbolic acts, such as recognizing the State of Palestine while continuing to supply arms to Israel and failing to address impunity for atrocity crimes, are not effective. States must use their leverage to secure an immediate ceasefire and force Israel to stop its genocide in Gaza. The unlawful occupation of the entire occupied Palestinian territory must end, and Israel’s system of apartheid must be dismantled without delay,” Amnesty highlighted.

'Hamas’s response to Trump’s plan gains international support amid calls for real steps

Saturday 4-October-2025

CAPITALS, (PIC)

World leaders have widely welcomed 'Hamas’s response to US president Donald Trump’s peace plan, urging all sides to move quickly toward a permanent ceasefire to end the genocide that has ravaged Gaza for nearly two years.

In a statement on Friday, 'Hamas confirmed its approval to release all captives, both living and deceased, under the terms of the plan proposed by president Trump earlier this week. The Movement also expressed its “immediate readiness” to enter indirect negotiations through mediators to discuss implementation details.

'Hamas reiterated its acceptance of transferring Gaza’s administration to a nonpartisan Palestinian authority formed by national consensus and backed by Arab and Islamic support.

President Trump welcomed 'Hamas’s response, saying he was “looking forward to the hostages returning to their families,” adding, “This is a truly remarkable day, perhaps unprecedented in many ways.”

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan described Hamas’s response as “a constructive and important step” toward lasting peace. He urged Israel to “immediately halt all its attacks and commit to the ceasefire plan.”

Erdoğan called for urgent steps to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and establish permanent peace, stressing, “This genocide must end now, and this disgraceful scene that wounds the world’s conscience must stop.”

The Turkish president reaffirmed his commitment to “ensuring that the talks conclude in the best possible way for the Palestinian people and that the two-state solution is realized.”

French president Emmanuel Macron said that “the release of all hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza are within reach,” adding that “Hamas’s commitment must be implemented without delay. We now have a real opportunity to make decisive progress toward peace.”

British prime minister Keir Starmer called Hamas’s acceptance of the US peace plan “an important step forward,” urging all parties to implement the agreement without delay. He said there is “a chance to end the fighting, return the Israeli captives, and deliver humanitarian aid to those in desperate need,” noting that “the region is closer to peace than ever before.”

German chancellor Friedrich Merz described Hamas’s acceptance of the US proposal as “the best chance for peace in Gaza.” Writing on X, he said, “The release of hostages and peace for Gaza are within reach. Hostages must be freed. Hamas must disarm. The fighting must stop immediately. All this must happen quickly. After nearly two years, this is the best chance for peace. Germany will remain engaged.”

Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni said that “the priority for everyone now must be achieving a ceasefire leading to the immediate release of all hostages.”

UN secretary-general António Guterres expressed his relief at Hamas’s response, urging all parties to seize this opportunity to end the war in Gaza.

Irish prime minister Michael Martin said he “hopes Hamas’s announcement of approval for Trump’s plan will pave the way for an immediate ceasefire and an increased flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.”

Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese welcomed “the progress in president Donald Trump’s plan to establish peace in Gaza,” adding that Australia will continue to support efforts to end the war and pursue a just and sustainable two-state solution.

Canadian prime minister Mark Carney also welcomed Hamas’s commitments “to relinquish power and release all hostages,” calling on “all parties to fulfill their commitments and strengthen peace and security in the region.”

The PA and factions affirm: Hamas’s response reflects a responsible national stance

Saturday 4-October-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Authority (PA) and several Palestinian factions expressed their support on Saturday for Hamas’s response to the US proposal, describing it as a “responsible national position” taken “after extensive consultations with the resistance factions.”

PA President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire and the move to complete the agreement’s details, saying it came “in response to Hamas’s positive statements at this stage, which requires everyone to act with the highest level of national responsibility.” He praised the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, and Indonesia, whose mediation contributed to reaching this agreement.

In a press statement, the Palestinian resistance factions called for “completing the steps and procedures by all parties,” while praising “the Arab and Islamic positions and the Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish mediation efforts,” which they said “played a significant role in uniting the stance to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and expedite the end of the aggression.”

Call for a national meeting

The factions stressed “the need for the PA to fulfill its duties and obligations starting from this moment, including the urgent convening of a national meeting to discuss implementation mechanisms related to handing over the administration of Gaza to an independent Palestinian body, and to address all national issues in this sensitive phase of our people’s history.”

For its part, the Islamic Jihad Movement said Saturday that Hamas’s response to President Donald Trump’s plan on Gaza reflects “the collective position of the Palestinian resistance forces.”

The Movement, the second-largest armed faction in Gaza, with its military wing Al-Quds Brigades, said that “the response Hamas presented to Trump’s plan represents the stance of the Palestinian resistance.”

It added that “the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine participated responsibly in the consultations that led to this decision.”

A responsible national response

Similarly, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said that Hamas’s response to the US proposal was “national and responsible, paving the way to end the aggression.”

The PFLP added, “The important thing is that the occupation commits to ending its aggression and implementing the agreement, as a prelude to a comprehensive cessation of hostilities, a full withdrawal, and the lifting of the siege on Gaza.”

The PFLP held the US administration fully responsible for any violations or attempts to obstruct the agreement by “war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.”

Meanwhile, the Mujahideen Movement said that Hamas’s position “reflects the stance of the Palestinian resistance factions, characterized by national responsibility and a sincere commitment to ending the genocide and starvation war.”

It added, “The international community must assume its responsibility toward the Palestinian side’s positive stance and compel the enemy, which is accustomed to stalling and violating agreements, to comply.”

Appreciated mediation

The Democratic Reformist Current within Fatah also welcomed Hamas’s approval of the US plan, appreciating “the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, and all the sisterly and friendly countries that played a mediation role leading to this announcement, which paves the way to end the genocide, prevents forced displacement, and creates the conditions to advance the national liberation program.”

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) described Hamas’s position on Trump’s plan as “responsible” and consistent with its earlier call for “forming a national body composed of Gaza residents to manage the territory under the reference of the PLO, ensuring the unity of Palestinian land, people, and rights, and safeguarding the future of the state.”

On Friday evening, Hamas announced that it had submitted its response to President Trump’s Gaza plan to mediators, declaring its agreement to release all Israeli prisoners, both living and deceased.

The Movement also reaffirmed its readiness to hand over Gaza’s administration to an independent Palestinian technocratic authority based on national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic backing. However, it emphasized that the future of Gaza and the rights of the Palestinian people must be discussed within a unified Palestinian framework.

Gaza: Hospitals receive 66 martyrs, death toll climbs to 67,074 martyrs

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of at least 66 civilians, as well as 265 people suffering from different injuries following Israeli attacks, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Saturday morning.

Thus, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 67,074, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 169,430 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Over the past 24 hours, six Palestinians have been killed and over 40 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed in aid-related attacks to 2,603, with over 19,094 others wounded.

Another statistic resulting from the death toll is that the total of 13,486 people have been killed and 57,389 others have been injured since the Israeli occupation army resumed its genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, 2025.

Meanwhile, two Gazan children were also pronounced dead in the past 24 hours due to malnutrition, according to the ministry.

The new victims have raised the total number of hunger-related deaths in the famished coastal territory to 459 people, including 154 children.

A Statistical Note:

Yesterday, the death toll, reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaz was 66,288. The Ministry added 66 martyrs today (October 4, 2025). Thus, the new death toll should be 66,354. However, the Ministry reported that the new death toll is 67,074. This means that there has been a correction of adding 654 fatalities to the death toll, in the Ministry's reporting.

GRC: Israel killed 34 Palestinians in Gaza after Trump called for ceasefire

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Gaza Rights Center (GRC) has denounced the continued horrific crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army against civilians in the Gaza Strip despite US president Donald Trump’s call for an immediate halt to Israel’s bombardment in the territory.

In a statement on Saturday, GRC said that its field team documented 59 Israeli aerial and artillery attacks in Gaza within less than 16 hours following Trump’s call for a ceasefire.

These Israeli attacks targeted densely populated areas, neighborhoods, homes, commercial and public service facilities, and main roads, according to GRC.

GRC reported that these documented attacks claimed the lives of 34 Palestinians — 27 in Gaza City, five in Khan Younus, and two in central Gaza — and left dozens injured, including women and children. The strikes also caused extensive damage to both private and public property.

GRC accused the Israeli occupation regime of ignoring all calls to stop its genocide in Gaza, including Trump’s ceasefire plea, persisting in committing its crimes with impunity and political and military protection from several countries spearheaded by the US.

“These ongoing attacks are happening as the Gaza Strip is facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to the tight blockade, the displacement of hundreds of thousands of citizens, and the near-total collapse of infrastructure, including electricity, water and sewage networks. This crisis is further compounded by the targeting of medical facilities, which are already grappling with acute shortages of medicines and supplies,” GRC said.

GRC appealed to the international community to take action to compel Israel to stop its genocide in Gaza and ensure accountability for those responsible for the crimes committed.

Israeli army continues attacks on Gaza despite Trump’s call for ceasefire

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Despite the US President’s call for an immediate halt to bombardment, the Israeli occupation army has continued its attacks across the Gaza Strip throughout the night and into today, targeting more homes and causing further civilian casualties, particularly in Gaza City.

The Israeli escalation on the ground comes just hours after president Donald Trump welcomed Hamas’s response to his ceasefire plan, which he described as a sign of the Movement’s readiness for “lasting peace.”

Gaza’s civil defense service said that the Israeli army carried out dozens of aerial and artillery attacks on Gaza City overnight following Trump’s call for a ceasefire.

Last night, Trump responded to Hamas’s statement on social media, writing that “Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the hostages out safely and quickly.”

According to media sources in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes on two homes in El-Mashahra area of Gaza City claimed the lives of at least six people and injured many others.

Casualties, including martyrs, were also reported following an airstrike on a gathering of civilians near a bakery in Gaza City’s El-Jalaa street.

An Israeli drone also attacked a tent sheltering a displaced family in El-Mawasi area of Khan Younus, south of Gaza, killing two children and injuring eight others.

Medical sources said that the bodies of three martyrs, including a girl child, and 17 wounded people had arrived at Al-'Awda Hospital following Israeli attacks in central Gaza.

The Israeli army detonated explosives-laden armored vehicles in different areas of Gaza City, mainly in al-Sabra neighborhood.

The Israeli army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

Meanwhile, several people were martyred or injured in Israeli attacks on aid seekers near distribution points in separate areas of Gaza.

Other Gazans were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks, according to Gaza’s health ministry today.

Two Palestinian children die due to starvation and acute malnutrition in Gaza

Israeli occupation forces kidnap 19 Palestinians in Al-Zuwaideen village, south of El-Khaleel (Hebron)

El-Khaleel (Hebron), October 4, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 19 Palestinians from the village of Al-Zuwaideen, south of El-Khaleel (Hebron) in the southern occupied West Bank, on Saturday.

The head of the Al-Zuwaideen village council, Sa'eed Al-Tu'aimat, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed the village following an attack by armed illegal Israeli settlers. The 19 detainees include several who sustained bruises and contusions from physical assaults by the colonists.

Earlier in the evening, a group of colonists had broken into the village, shooting a young man in the leg with live ammunition and physically assaulting others.

Palestinian communities in southern Hebron and other parts of the West Bank have long been subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli colonists, often carried out under the direct protection or presence of the Israeli army.

These assaults typically include physical attacks on residents, property damage, raids on homes, theft of livestock, and intimidation aimed at forcing Palestinians from their lands.

Human rights groups have documented how the Israeli military frequently prevents Palestinians from defending themselves while providing security cover for colonists, creating a cycle of violence and impunity that exacerbates the security situation in these areas.

PPS: Israeli occupation regime's Naqab (Negev) prison turned into a torture ground against Palestinian prisoners

Saturday 4-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that Israel’s Negev prison, where the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) are holding “Global Sumud Flotilla” activists, has become a notorious site of systematic torture and abuse against Palestinian detainees.

The Society explained that the Negev prison holds thousands of Palestinian prisoners, including detainees from Gaza. Several prisoners have been martyred there since the start of Israel’s ongoing genocide, among them Tha-ir Abu 'Asab, who was beaten to death by IOFs suppression units.

According to the PPS, the latest videos released by Israel’s national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir were not the first of their kind. In previous recordings, Ben-Gvir has been seen verbally assaulting Palestinian prisoners, calling them “animals,” threatening to kill them, and boasting about policies of humiliation and abuse. The mistreatment of the flotilla activists, the Society said, is a continuation of this same policy of dehumanization and violence.

The PPS condemned Israel’s assault on the “Global Sumud Flotilla” participants and their ongoing detention in one of Israel’s harshest prisons. It also denounced the hate speech launched by Ben-Gvir, who labeled the international activists “terrorists.”

The rights group emphasized that Israel’s prison system has long violated all international human rights and legal standards, turning prisons and detention camps into spaces of slow-motion genocide through systematic torture, starvation, and neglect over the past two years.

Known historically as “Ansar 3,” the Negev prison was established by the Israeli occupation authorities in 1988 after the outbreak of the First Intifada. Thousands of Palestinians have been detained there since, and many have died as a result of torture and medical neglect.

The PPS praised the “Global Sumud Flotilla” activists for carrying a humanitarian message to the world at a time when the international community remains complicit and silent in the face of Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters in Spain call for an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza

The Spanish city of Barcelona continues its pro-Palestine demonstrations for the third consecutive day, as a massive march took place on Saturday morning with hundreds of thousands of protesters, supported and organized by over 500 organizations and civil associations.

The organizers called on governments, institutions, and companies to cut all ties with Israel, condemning “colonialism, genocide, apartheid, and the Israeli occupation of Palestine.”

Leaders of the demonstration expressed hope that this would be the largest solidarity event ever held in Catalonia in support of the Palestinian people. They also urged participants to wear black as a symbol of mourning for the victims of the war.

The march began at 12:00 noon from Jardinets de Gràcia (Salvador Espriu Gardens) and first stopped in front of the European Commission’s headquarters in Barcelona, where activists urged the European Union to take concrete steps to protect the Palestinian people and impose measures against Israel.

The event was organized by several bodies and organizations, including the Palestinian community in Catalonia, the “Stop Complicity with Israel” coalition, the Global Freedom Flotilla, and labor unions such as CCOO, UGT, and Intersindical, as well as neighborhood associations, feminist groups, and global justice organizations like LaFede.

The demonstration also came in response to the Israeli navy’s interception of the humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza, which had departed from Barcelona on August 31. Among those detained were former Barcelona mayor Ada Colau and Catalan parliament member Pilar Castillejo, sparking a new wave of public outrage.

On Friday, thousands of students organized a march from University Square to Drassanes Square, where they set up a temporary solidarity camp with Gaza.

Organizers affirmed that they would continue their sit-in until the Spanish government cuts trade ties with Israel or until a humanitarian corridor to the Gaza Strip is opened.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
