Ghislaine Maxwell responds to Epstein email revelations Story by Robert Alexander November 14, 2025 The Supreme Court is back and they rejected today and Newsweek Donald Trump Says He’ll Speak To DOJ About Ghislaine Maxwell Pardon Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorney has responded to the release of a cache of documents and emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate saying they contain “nothing damning.” Maxwell’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, appeared on NewsNation’s Cuomo on Thursday after the release by House Oversight Committee Democrats that included emails between his client and the disgraced financier. Newsweek contacted Aidala for comment via email outside of normal office hours. Why It Matters The newly released documents have become a political flashpoint and fueled bipartisan demands for the release of the full Epstein files, while intensifying scrutiny of anyone linked to the late sex offender. The White House has said the emails were “selectively leaked” to “liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump” while Trump has accused Democrats of trying to bring up a “hoax.” The president has always denied knowledge of Epstein’s federal crimes. Meanwhile, Maxwell’s previous statements in an interview with Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney general, have come under fresh scrutiny. Her attorney used the segment to dispute claims that the correspondence implicates his client—or President Trump—and to challenge allegations that she is receiving preferential treatment in federal custody. In this July 2, 2020, file photo, Audrey Strauss, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, points to a photo of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell during a news conference in New York. What To Know? In her interview with the DOJ in July, Maxwell had said she didn’t recall ever seeing the president in Epstein’s house or witnessing him in “any inappropriate setting in any way.” However, in the latest release, emails appear to show in April 2011, Epstein wrote to Maxwell: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump…[Victim] spent hours at my house with him.” Smart Lifestyle Trends · Sponsored Houses Built Before 2004 Can Get New Windows In These Zip Codes Learn MoreThe White House said the victim whose name was redacted was Virginia Giuffre who “repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever.” The discrepancy was pulled up on by critics who said the emails suggested Maxwell “either lied or didn’t remember the truth.” Speaking to NewsNation, Aidala—who did not represent Maxwell during her conversation with the Department of Justice—said his client has “never said anything about President Trump to me.” He added: “I believe that she took her conversations with the deputy attorney general very, very seriously and told the truth.” Speaking about the latest release, he told host Chris Cuomo: “Even in these emails, Chris, there’s nothing damning in there. There’s nothing in there that would make rise that a prosecutor could bring a case.” Aidala, said the notion his client was withholding damaging material in hopes of receiving favorable treatment lacks basis. fundapps.co · Sponsored Manage Trading Limits - NSE IFSC Position Limits - Automation is the answer Learn MoreHe said: “If she had the ability to go to the DOJ of Merrick Garland under President Biden and say, look, I can take Trump down…It’s just not the case, it’s just not the facts.” He added: “She’s like, Arthur, it’s all bulls***. She’s like, he’s dead. And if I say anything, I get put in solitary confinement. ” Aidala also denied allegations from Rep. Jamie Raskin to MSNBC that Maxwell has received “concierge-style treatment” after her recent transfer to a different facility, including specialized meals, unusual access to exercise facilities and assistance from prison staff. The attorney said the privileges described are normal at Maxwell’s new facility. “Every inmate is allowed to use the exercise equipment during waking hours,” he said. “The wardens of the staff do help you file legal paperwork. That’s not a Ghislaine thing.” What People Are Saying White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Newsweek in a statement on Friday: “These emails prove literally nothing. Democrats and the mainstream media are desperately trying to use this hoax as a distraction to talk about anything other than Democrats getting utterly defeated by President Trump in the shutdown fight. We won’t be distracted, and the entire Administration will continue fulfilling the promises the President was elected on, including cutting the Biden-era price hikes.” Ghislaine Maxwell, rejecting the existence of any so-called “Epstein client list” during a DOJ interview on July 24, 2025: “There is no list. We’ll start with that.” President Donald Trump, posted on Wednesday afternoon on Truth Social: “The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects. Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap. The Democrats cost our Country $1.5 Trillion Dollars with their recent antics of viciously closing our Country, while at the same time putting many at risk—and they should pay a fair price. There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!” Source: Ghislaine Maxwell responds to Epstein email revelations
