While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Al-Hams: Israel kills a child in Gaza every 40 minutes

Monday 5-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Marwan Al-Hams, Director-General of Field Hospitals in Gaza, revealed that more than 16,000 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of Israel’s genocidal war on 7 October 2023.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Al-Hams stated that this equates to the death of one child every 40 minutes over the past 17 months.

He added that 908 Palestinian children were killed before reaching their first birthday, while 311 children were born and martyred during the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Al-Hams noted that there have been documented cases of children being killed while attempting to collect food aid from charitable soup kitchens, directly targeted by Israeli airstrikes.

He further explained that Israel’s blockade and closure of crossings for over two months have exacerbated the health crisis, with many primary healthcare centers shut down either due to direct bombardment or because they are located within evacuation zones, depriving thousands of children and pregnant women of essential medical care.

Al-Hams reported that shortages in women’s and children’s medicines have reached 51%, particularly concerning nutritional supplements, vitamins, vaccinations, and infant formula.

He highlighted that polio vaccines are still banned from entering Gaza, posing a serious threat to the preventive health efforts previously undertaken.

Moreover, Al-Hams stated that reliance on a single incomplete meal per day has caused widespread emaciation and malnutrition among children, who are also deprived of safe drinking water and healthy food due to the destruction of infrastructure and the blockade on humanitarian aid.

Israeli occupation forces continue to wage a genocidal war and systematic starvation campaign against Gaza’s civilian population for the 49th consecutive day, maintaining a complete siege by closing all crossings and preventing the entry of medicine, food, and humanitarian aid.

Since early Monday morning, the number of martyrs from Israeli strikes on residential buildings in northern Gaza has risen to 20.

Official Palestinian figures, published by the Government Media Office in Gaza, report that the number of deaths caused by starvation has reached 57 amid the ongoing closure of crossings and the blockade on baby formula and nutritional supplements.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the total death toll from the Israeli military aggression on Gaza since 7 October 2023 has reached 52,567, with 118,610 wounded.

The Ministry further stated that since Israel’s violation of the ceasefire agreement and resumption of genocide on 18 March 2025, there have been 2,459 martyrs and 6,569 injuries recorded.

As famine surges in Gaza, United Nations calls on world leaders to deliver food to the Strip

NEW YORK, May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations called on world leaders to provide food to civilians in the Gaza Strip, as Israel's "comprehensive blockade" of the territory enters its ninth week.

This came in a statement issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on Monday, commenting on Israel's plan to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The statement stressed that the plan "contradicts basic humanitarian principles."

It added that UN teams are ready to distribute essential supplies and services, such as food, water, healthcare, and nutrition in Gaza.

It added, "We have a large amount of stock ready to be distributed as soon as the blockade is lifted. We call on world leaders to use their influence to make this happen. Now is the time to lift the blockade."

The statement noted that the Israeli plan endangers civilian lives and humanitarian aid efforts and promotes forced displacement.

The statement warned that attempts to divert civilians to conflict zones to receive food aid mean that "large parts of Gaza will remain without food."

Since March 2, Israel has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation of Palestinians, according to government, human rights, and international reports.

Israel's UN proposal to deliver aid to Gaza under control of its forces rejected

NEW YORK, May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations rejected the Israeli occupation's proposal to deliver aid to Gaza under the control of its forces.

The UN Humanitarian Country Team in Gaza stated in a statement last night that Israel's plan would violate fundamental humanitarian principles, as it aims to strengthen control over vital supplies as a pressure tactic, as part of a military strategy.

The proposed delivery mechanism would require UN approval to distribute supplies through Israeli checkpoints, under conditions determined by the Israeli military.

The UN team warned that the proposed strategy would force civilians into military zones to collect rations, endangering them and aid workers, and that the plan would likely contribute to further forced displacement.

The UN stated that it "can only support plans that respect the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, independence, and impartiality."

Israeli Cabinet approves plan to seize full control of Gaza and forcibly displace population to the south

TEL AVIV, May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli cabinet has approved a military plan to seize full control of the Gaza Strip—already under longstanding occupation and blockade—alongside measures that will prolong the deprivation of essential resources for its population.

According to Israeli media reports on Monday morning, the unanimously approved plan was presented last night by Eyal Zamir, Chief of the General Staff of Israel. The plan calls for full military occupation of Gaza, establishing sustained control over the territory, and forcibly displacing Palestinian residents toward the southern regions of the Strip.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that this plan represents a departure from previous military tactics, moving from temporary incursions to permanent occupation and settlement.

Netanyahu also reaffirmed Israel's commitment to implementing the so-called Trump Plan, which, according to him, aims to facilitate the voluntary departure of Palestinians from Gaza.

Israeli sources indicated that the military campaign may extend over several months and will unfold in phases, beginning with expanded ground invasions in targeted areas, followed by a broader sweep across the enclave.

The sources added that the plan’s execution will commence following the conclusion of U.S. President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to the Middle East. In the interim, Israel intends to mobilize and train reserve forces in preparation for an escalated military offensive.

Smotrich calls for full displacement of Gaza’s population

This military plan aligns with the calls made by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a member of the far-right extremist government, who has demanded a complete occupation of the Gaza Strip and the establishment of new Israeli settlements there.

Smotrich stated that Israel will occupy Gaza with the intention of remaining there permanently, declaring that there will no longer be any movement in or out of the territory. He described the operation as a war aimed at victory and asserted that it is time to stop fearing the term occupation.

Smotrich further declared that the entire population of Gaza would be displaced south of the so-called “Morag Corridor”—a corridor established by Israel last month to isolate Rafah from the rest of the Gaza Strip. According to him, humanitarian aid will be restricted to this designated area.

The Israeli occupation continues to escalate its crimes across all areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out mass killings and targeting shelters. Since October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen to 52,567, mostly women and children. Around 118,610 others have also been injured.

These figures remain incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered on the streets, unreachable by rescue and medical teams.

Health official warns of imminent famine in Gaza, calls for int’l action

Monday 5-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A senior Palestinian health official has warned that Gaza’s population is enduring severe starvation and facing an inevitable famine, urging the world to intervene and put an end to the Israeli war of genocide and deprivation.

“We are powerless — there is no infant formula for children, nor medicine for pregnant women,” Marwan al-Hams, director of the field hospitals, said in press remarks on Sunday.

In a message to the world, al-Hams called for moving urgently to save the Gaza people from genocide and starvation. “We want to live in peace, just like any other people in the world.”

He noted that the fuel supplies at hospitals, which are used to run power generators, are only sufficient for three more days.

Earlier, the Government Media Office (GMO) warned that “the Gaza Strip is teetering on the edge of mass deaths due to the escalating famine.”

“The famine is spreading, with over a million children being at extreme risk, while vital sectors are collapsing under a suffocating blockade and shameful international silence,” GMO said.

Israeli occupation forces continue aggression on Jineen for the 106th consecutive day

Jineen,  May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city of Jineen and its refugee camp for the 106th consecutive day, expanding their bulldozing and destruction operations inside the camp with the aim of altering its features and structure, while continuing to prevent entry or access to it.

The Israeli occupation forces detained two young men from the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jineen.

Yesterday morning, the Israeli occupation forces forced the residents of two buildings surrounding the Zahraa neighborhood to evacuate and converted them into military outposts.

The villages of Jineen Governorate are seeing almost daily raids as the aggression on the city and camp continues. Daily military movements are recorded in most of the governorate's villages, along with a constant presence of occupation patrols and vehicles.

The occupation forces continue their complete closure of Jineen camp, preventing access to it, while bulldozing and demolishing it continues, aiming to alter its structure and features. According to Jineen Municipality estimates, approximately 600 homes have been completely demolished in the camp, while the rest have been partially damaged and rendered uninhabitable.

Jineen city is also seeing significant damage to facilities, homes, and infrastructure, particularly in the eastern neighborhood and the Al-Hadaf neighborhood.

The occupation forces continue to send additional military reinforcements toward the camp and its surrounding areas, while infantry units are deployed daily in several neighborhoods.

Families from the camp, along with hundreds of families from the city and its surroundings, remain forcibly displaced. The Jineen Municipality indicates that the number of displaced persons from the camp and city has exceeded 22,000.

The economic situation in Jineen is further deteriorating, with heavy commercial losses recorded as a result of the aggression. This has led to the closure of many shops and a decline in shopping traffic coming into the city from outside.

This has also led to bulldozing and the destruction of infrastructure and streets, and the damage to a large number of shops, especially in the western neighborhoods, which are experiencing near-total economic paralysis. The aggression has caused losses initially estimated at more than $300 million.

Since the start of the aggression on the city and refugee camp on January 21, 2020, 40 people have been killed, along with dozens more injured and detained.

Toulkarm: 99 days since the Israeli aggression began on the city and refugee camps

TULKARM, May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces continue the aggression on the city of Toulkarm and its camp for the 99th consecutive day, and on the 86th day in the Nour Shams refugee  camp, amid ongoing escalation on the ground and daily harassment of citizens and their property.

In the Nour Shams refugee camp, east of the city, occupation forces detained a number of camp residents this morning who had gone to their homes to retrieve their personal belongings, despite having obtained prior coordination to enter.

They also detained Palestinian Red Crescent Society crews who were present to support the residents, after the crew director refused a physical search by occupation soldiers due to the absence of female soldiers.

Local sources reported that last night, occupation forces notified five families from Al-Manshiyya neighborhood, whose homes are threatened with demolition.

The families are Abu 'Harb, Al-'Alajma, 'Abdullah, and Shi'hada, and they must vacate their homes, which comprise 15 residential units, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Last Thursday evening, the occupation forces notified the demolition of 106 buildings and homes in the two camps, including (58) buildings in Toulkarm refugee camp and (48) homes in Nour Shams refugee camp. Meanwhile, the ongoing aggression against them has led to the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families from Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps, comprising more than 25,000 citizens. The forces have also completely destroyed 396 homes and partially destroyed 2,573 others, in addition to blocking their entrances and alleys with earth mounds.

In a related development, the occupation forces raided the Abu Zahra family building in the Dthinnaba suburb east of the city at dawn today, arrested Ibrahim Abu Zahra, and stole large sums of money from the family's apartments.

In other field developments, the eastern neighborhood of the city witnessed intensive movements of occupation vehicles late last night at Al-Shaheed Junction and Al-Salam Roundabout, including obstructing vehicle traffic and detaining a number of young men for field investigation.

In another violation, occupation soldiers simultaneously played songs over loudspeakers. One soldier also chanted "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great) over a loudspeaker in Jamal Abdul Nasir Square in the city center, in an attempt to provoke citizens.

WAFA correspondent said: "The city is witnessing active, 24-hour activity by occupation vehicles and infantry units, patrolling the streets and neighborhoods, obstructing the movement of citizens and their vehicles, and pursuing them, particularly in the Jamal Abdul Nasir Square, Thabit Thabit Roundabout, Nablus Street, and Shuwaika Roundabout. This is accompanied by the firing of live ammunition and sound bombs, raids and searches of homes and shops, the destruction of their contents, and the interrogation, abuse, and arrest of those present."

In a related context, the Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps and their surroundings are witnessing a heavy deployment of occupation forces, firing live ammunition, sound bombs, and flash grenades, with occasional explosions being heard. This coincides with a tight siege of these camps, the closure of their entrances with earth mounds, and the accompanying raids and destruction of homes.

Meanwhile, the occupation continues to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, transforming them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating their residents. Its vehicles and bulldozers are stationed in the vicinity.

The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation against the city of Toulkarm and its two camps has resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and arrested, and extensive damage has been inflicted on the infrastructure, including homes, shops, and vehicles, which have been subjected to complete or partial demolition, arson, vandalism, looting, and theft.

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers set fire on Monday evening to agricultural lands planted with wheat in the Burqa Plain, northwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Local sources reported that the fires ignited by settlers devastated large areas of wheat crops, resulting in the near-total destruction of the harvest.

Farmer Sameer Rasheed Mas'oud, from the town of Burqa, stated that this was the third incident of its kind to target his land, highlighting the repeated settler attacks on farmers and their properties in the area.

The Burqa Plain is considered one of the most significant agricultural regions in the northern West Bank, with local residents heavily reliant on wheat cultivation as a primary source of livelihood.

Amnesty International affirms situation in Gaza is terrifying and there is no more food

RAMALLAH, May 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard called on all international actors, particularly the European Union, to take serious steps to stop Israel's genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, whether through the use of military weapons or starvation policies that have rendered the Strip "completely foodless."

In a press statement, Callamard called on all relevant parties to pressure Israel to allow the entry of food, water, and medicine into the Gaza Strip, and to work to hold accountable those responsible for genocide and war crimes.

She spoke about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, based on her observations and field monitoring of the ongoing 19-month war of extermination, which has intensified with Israel's imposition of a comprehensive blockade on the Palestinian Strip since March 2.

In this context, Callamard noted the "alarm bells" in the Gaza Strip due to the depletion of food and all essentials of life, especially after Israel resumed its war of extermination last March.

She said, "We know that people are suffering from severe shortages of food, water, and medicine. The World Food Organization, the World Health Organization, and all other UN and humanitarian organizations are sounding the alarm: There is no more food in Gaza."

Callamard further emphasized the seriousness of the situation by repeatedly repeating the phrase "there is no more food in Gaza," describing the conditions across the Palestinian territory as "absolutely terrifying."

She also said that what is happening in Gaza is "genocide in plain sight."

Amnesty International calls for serious steps to stop Israel’s crimes in Gaza

Monday 5-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard called on all international actors, foremost among them the European Union, to take serious steps to stop Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, whether through the use of military weapons or starvation policies that have left the Strip “completely devoid of food.”

In a press statement on Monday, Callamard called for pressure on Israel to allow food, water and medicine into the Gaza Strip and to hold those responsible for crimes of genocide and war crimes accountable.

She spoke about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, based on her observations and field monitoring of the war of extermination that has been ongoing for 19 months and has intensified with Israel’s imposition of a blockade on the Palestinian territory since March 2.

Callamard warned of a “dangerous situation” in the Gaza Strip due to the depletion of food and all basic necessities, especially after Israel resumed its war of extermination last March.

“We know that people are suffering from severe shortages of food, water and medicine. The World Food Program, the World Health Organization, all United Nations agencies and other humanitarian organizations are sounding the alarm: There is no food left in Gaza,” she said.

Callamard emphasized the gravity of the situation by repeating the phrase “there is no food left in Gaza,” describing the conditions throughout the Palestinian territory as “extremely terrifying”, and affirming that what is happening in Gaza is “genocide in full view of everyone.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
