In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Since the early morning hours, Israeli occupation forces deployed extensively at the military checkpoints leading to the mosque, preventing a large number of worshippers from the West Bank from entering and subjecting them to intensive ID checks. Additionally, thousands of Israeli police officers were deployed to the Old City of Jerusalem, as well as around Al-Aqsa Mosque and its gates ahead of the prayers to restrict Muslim access to the holy site. At the checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem, eyewitnesses told WAFA that thousands of worshippers were turned back and denied access to the city under the pretext of not having the necessary permits. M.N. *** Palestinian father passes away in Cairo hours after reuniting with son released from Israeli jails and deported CAIRO, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian citizen Basim Ibraheem Sabba'h passed away on Friday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, just hours after reuniting with his deported son, Ayham (24), who was released by Israeli occupation regime on January 25 as part of the second batch of prisoners and detainees freed under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. According to prisoners’ institutions, Israeli authorities either prevented or delayed the travel of most families of released and deported prisoners, obstructing their reunions. A video circulated on social media captured the emotional moment Ayham met his father and mother for the first time in nine years in the hallway of a Cairo hotel. Shortly after, the family announced that Ayham’s father had passed away due to a sudden health crisis. Sabbah was originally from the town of Qaffin, located north of Tulkarm, and had been living with his family in Beitunia, west of Ramallah. His son, Ayham, was shot by Israeli forces on February 18, 2016, at the age of 14, and subsequently detained. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison before being released in January under the Gaza ceasefire agreement and forcibly deported. Under the ceasefire agreement, Israel has released 1,777 Palestinian detainees, dozens of whom were forcibly deported from Palestine. T.R. *** Palestinian Journalist Syndicate: Palestinian female journalists have paid a heavy price for conveying the truth, and the world must protect press freedom RAMALLAH, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) has emphasized that Palestinian female journalists have paid a heavy price in their pursuit of truth and documenting the genocide committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people. The Syndicate called on the international community and global institutions to protect press freedom from Israeli occupation crimes. In a statement issued by the Gender Committee on Friday, marking International Women’s Day which falls on March 8, the Syndicate stated that this year’s International Women’s Day comes for the second consecutive year amidst the ongoing Israeli war on the Palestinian people. “Palestinian female journalists are subjected to the most heinous crimes, violations, and systematic targeting, including murder, shelling, detention, coverage prevention, and forced displacement.” These crimes are not confined to the Gaza Strip but extend to the West Bank and Jerusalem, where journalists face an unprecedented wave of repression aimed at silencing the Palestinian narrative and obscuring the truth from the world, said the PJS Gender Committee in a statement. The statement further stressed that since the start of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, 200 journalists have been killed, including 27 female colleagues. “This marks the largest targeting operation of journalists ever witnessed by the press worldwide.” Additionally, 14 female journalists were detained by the occupation but were later released. Dozens more sustained injuries in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. At least 150 female journalists' homes were destroyed in Gaza, forcing them into repeated displacement, alongside the destruction of dozens of media institutions. The Gender Committee emphasized that Palestinian female journalists face compounded targeting, not only through physical assaults and the prevention of coverage but also through attacks on their homes and families, restrictions on their freedom of movement and work, and direct threats to their lives. The committee documented testimonies of female journalists who lost their entire families, as well as those who were forcibly displaced and had their homes destroyed by Israeli shelling. Meanwhile, the systematic targeting of anyone carrying a camera or a pen to report the truth continues, it added. The committee stated that this grim reality underscores the occupation’s relentless efforts to eradicate Palestinian journalism and silence the voices of female journalists in the media landscape. The statement called for urgent international protection for journalists in Palestine, the dispatch of independent investigation committees to monitor Israeli crimes against them and the inclusion of Israel in the blacklist of countries targeting journalists. It also demanded Israel be held legally accountable for its crimes before the International Criminal Court. The statement urged international institutions to ensure Israel’s respect for international law and immediately halt the targeting of Palestinian journalists and media outlets. Additionally, the Committee stressed the need for international support for Palestinian female journalists who have lost their homes, been forcibly displaced, or faced direct threats due to their journalistic work. The statement concluded that celebrating March 8 should not be limited to slogans, but must involve standing in solidarity with Palestinian female journalists who are paying a high price simply for telling the truth. “The world and its international institutions must protect press freedom and not be complicit in the murder of journalists by remaining silent.” Palestinian female journalists will remain the voice of truth, continuing to convey the suffering of their people despite repression and targeting. They will remain at the forefront of the media scene, defending the truth, covering and exposing crimes, and carrying out their national duty with integrity and professionalism, the statement concluded. T.R. *** *** ****** Two Palestinian civilians killed, others injured in Israeli airstrike in Gaza City GAZA, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian civilians were killed and others were injured after Israeli occupation drones targeted a group of people in the Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City. According to WAFA correspondent, two civilians were killed after an Israeli drone targeted a group of citizens near Al-Mu'tasim Mosque on Mansoura Street, east of Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood. Although a ceasefire agreement came into effect on January 19 after more than 15 months of brutal Israeli genocide, Israel continues to violate the agreement by targeting civilians in the region almost every day. Yesterday, health authorities in Gaza announced that the number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on the region in October 2023 has risen to 48,446, in addition to 111,852 others injured. Y.S/M.N. *** Two Palestinians injured in new Israeli drone attack on Rafah Friday 7-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Two citizens were injured on Friday morning after an Israeli quadcopter targeted a displacement tent in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. The Civil Defense said that its crews transferred two injured people after a bomb was dropped on a tent sheltering displaced people in Tal al-Sultan, west of Rafah city. Earlier Thursday, three Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli drone attack that targeted a group of people east of Gaza City. The Israeli bombing of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza and Rafah comes less than 24 hours after a group of citizens were injured in a similar air strike in Beit Hanoun town, north of the Gaza Strip. A fragile ceasefire since January 19 saw an influx of humanitarian aid into Gaza, before Israel on Sunday announced it was blocking deliveries in violation of the truce agreement. *** Hamas delegation arrives in Cairo to discuss negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire Saturday 8-March-2025 CAIRO, (PIC) The General Authority for Information in Egypt said in a message that a delegation from Hamas Movement arrived in Cairo on Friday to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and to advance negotiations into the second phase. The statement read: “Egypt is conducting intensive communications with all parties to quickly reach the second phase of the ceasefire. The intensive Egyptian meetings with Hamas leaders and communications with the American and Qatari sides aim to complete the ceasefire agreement and enter into its second phase.” In this context, two officials from Hamas reported on Friday that a delegation from the Movement arrived in Cairo on the eve of discussions regarding the truce with Israel in the Gaza Strip. One official told AFP that “a high-level leadership delegation from Hamas, led by Mohammad Darwish, the acting head of the Movement, arrived in Cairo on Friday afternoon,” noting that they would meet “on Saturday with Egyptian officials to consult about the developments in the situation, the progress made in implementing the ceasefire agreement, and the commencement of the second phase.” This comes after an Israeli security delegation visited Cairo and met with officials from the General Intelligence Service, according to Egyptian sources speaking to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. They indicated that discussions with the Israeli delegation addressed the Egyptian vision for managing the Gaza Strip in the upcoming phase, as well as resuming the entry of aid and relief materials, advancing negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, and mechanisms for releasing Israeli captives held by the resistance in the Gaza Strip. The United States rejected the Egyptian proposal that was approved during the emergency Arab summit in Cairo last Tuesday, emphasizing that President Donald Trump remains committed to the displacement of Gaza Strip residents. U.S. National Security Council spokesperson Brian Yoo said that “the residents of the Gaza Strip cannot live humanely in a devastated area filled with unexploded ordnance.” U.S. hostage affairs official Adam Boehler held talks with Hamas leadership in Qatar a few days ago, focusing on the return of American hostage Aidan Alexander (21 years old) and the bodies of four other captives. According to Axios, the discussions also addressed specific details such as the number of Palestinian prisoners to be released from Israeli jails in exchange for Alexander’s return, which were points not approved by Israel. The Cairo meetings come at a time when the newly appointed chief of staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, approved offensive plans after taking office on Wednesday, in preparation for the possibility of resuming the war of extermination against the besieged Gaza Strip. Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Friday that this step seems closer than ever, and according to various assessments, it will turn into an event that is difficult to contain or stop once carried out, while Haaretz spoke of skepticism among military officials regarding the feasibility of a large-scale attack and the refusal of reserve soldiers to return to combat. *** ý*** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces ***ý *** Palestinian teenagers wounded by Israeli forces in Ramallah Friday 7-March-2025 WEST BANK, (PIC) Two Palestinian teenagers have been wounded by Israeli army gunfire in Ni’lin, west of the West Bank city of Ramallah, on Friday evening. The Israeli forces raided the town, triggering confrontations amid heavy fire of teargas bombs and live ammunition. The gun-toting soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, hitting the two, aged 16 and 17, and causing others to suffer from tear gas inhalation. Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli forces also arrested another teen, and set up a military checkpoint north of the town, where several vehicles were stopped and searched. *** Two teenagers sustain injuries from Israeli army gunfire near Ramallah RAMALLAH, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian teenagers Friday sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in Ni'lin town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent. He said that Israeli occupation forces barged their way into the town, triggering confrontations. The gun-toting soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, injuring two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, with live rounds in their lower extremities and causing others to suffocate from excessive tear gas inhalation. The two casualties were rushed to a nearby emergency center for treatment. The correspondent added that the soldiers rounded up a minor and set up a checkpoint to the north of the town, stopping Palestinian-registered vehicles, checking passengers’ identity cards, and causing a huge traffic jam. The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised. K.F. *** Palestinian sustains wounds in Israeli army vehicle’s ramming attack in Jenin JENIN, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian Friday evening sustained wounds in a ramming attack by an Israeli army vehicle in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The PRCS said that its crews evacuated a 55-year-old man who was wounded after an Israeli military vehicle forcefully rammed into his car in the city. The casualty, who remained anonymous, was transferred to the Ibn Sina Hospital, where medics confirmed that they were dealing with a man who sustained an injury of medium gravity after his car was forcefully hit by an Israeli army vehicle. The occupation forces have been waging aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin for 46 consecutive days, killing 30 Palestinians, injuring dozens and detaining dozens of others, and causing extensive damage to infrastructure and scores of civilians’ houses. K.F. *** Waves of forced displacement from Tulkarem as Israeli aggression enters 40th consecutive day Friday 7-March-2025 TULKAREM, (PIC) Waves of forced displacement from Tulkarem city and its two refugee camps have escalated as the Israeli aggression on Tulkarem city and Camp enters its 40th consecutive day on Friday, and the offensive on Nur Shams Camp enters the 27th day, amid intensive military reinforcements, raids, and home demolitions. The media committee in Tulkarem Camp said that the Israeli occupation forces’ invasion of the city and its camps led to the martyrdom of 13 people, and the displacement of about 25,000 citizens from Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps, including 12,000 from Tulkarem Camp, and 13,000 from Nur Shams Camp. Israeli occupation forces continue their home demolitions and destruction of infrastructure, preventing people and civil defense crews from opening closed roads in the city, in addition to cutting off all basic services to the two camps. The demolition and destruction of homes and facilities affected 632 homes and other structures, while Israeli occupation forces arrested about 190 citizens during the intensive arrest campaigns in both camps. *** IOF storms mosques in Nablus, prevents prayers Friday 7-March-2025 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed several mosques in the old city of Nablus at dawn Friday. They also prevented dawn prayers before arresting three citizens during the raid. Local sources reported that the Israeli troops broke into several neighborhoods of the city amid heavy fire of teargas bombs and live ammunition. The IOF also raided and violently searched several local homes and detained three citizens. The Israeli violent raid into the mosques is considered a dangerous precedent, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The move was met with popular anger amid calls for confronting Israeli brutal policies and systematic war against holy sites. The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned the Israeli attack on the mosques before dawn prayers. The Ministry of Endowments also called on the international community and international human rights institutions to intervene to stop and end such barbaric attacks against the mosques, many of which are historical heritage buildings. *** UNRWA: West Bank refugee camps nearly emptied of their residents Friday 7-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said the Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, in the northern occupied West Bank, have been nearly emptied of their residents. “With widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure, including homes, people now face the prospect of having nowhere to return to,” UNWRA said in a statement. According to the agency, Israeli forces began the demolition of more than 16 buildings in the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarem. “This comes less than a week after 11 houses were demolished in the same camp, 14 other houses in the Tulkarem Camp, and controlled detonations in Jenin Camp around a month ago that left the camp uninhabitable,” read a statement. “These large-scale demolitions are an alarming new pattern. They have an unprecedented impact on the Palestinian refugees and seek to permanently change the characteristics of the camps in the northern West Bank,” UNRWA added. Israel’s continuing military operation in the territory has resulted in the largest displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank since the 1967 war, with some 40,000 people displaced from their homes, said the UN relief agency. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Trump administration support for the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** IIllegal Israeli settlers set up tents as nucleus of colonial outpost near Jerusalem JERUSALEM, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – IA group of the illegal Israeli settlers Friday set up tents on a tract of Palestinian land near Jaba‘ village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to a local source. Sami Tawwam, head of the Jaba‘ Village Council, said that Israeli colonizers broke into the area of Sahel Jaba‘ (Jaba‘ plain), east of the village, and erected two tents to serve as a nucleus of a new colonial outpost. He added that the assailants vandalized several olive trees and prevented the Palestinian landowners from reaching their farmlands. He pointed out that colonizers have been attempting over the past two weeks to take over the lands making up the Sahel Jaba‘ to link it to the nearby colony of Adam. Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law. K.F. *** Armed colonists attack Bedouin community north of Jericho and steal sheep JERICHO, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Dozens of colonists Friday night attacked the Bedouin community of Ras Ein al-Auja, north of Jericho, and stole sheep owned by Palestinian residents, according to a local official. Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that dozens of colonists, traveling in trucks and under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, raided the Ras Ein al-Auja area, fired live bullets, searched livestock barns and stole two flocks of sheep at gunpoint. T.R. *** IOF injures Palestinian, settlers steal sheep in W. Bank Saturday 8-March-2025 WEST BANK, (PIC) A Palestinian young man suffered a bullet injury at dawn Saturday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern al-Khalil, while a horde of armed Jewish settlers attacked a Bedouin community in Jericho on Friday. According to local sources, Israeli forces stormed al-Fawwar camp while firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters in the camp’s alleys and streets, injuring a young man in his leg. In northern Jericho, dozens of armed settlers attacked on Friday evening the Bedouin community of Ras Ein al-Auja and stole sheep. Local official Hasan Malihat said that dozens of settlers in trucks stormed, under IOF protection, the Ras Ein al-Auja community, fired live ammunition, searched livestock shelters, and stole two flocks of sheep at gunpoint. Meanwhile, The Israeli occupation army’s destruction and displacement campaign in the northern West Bank entered day 41 in Tulkarem City and its refugee camp and day 28 in Nur Shams refugee camp on Saturday. *** Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces a Palestinian to demolish part of his home in northern Jordan Valley JORDAN VALLEY, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation apartheid regime forced on Friday a Palestinian resident of the village of Bardala, in the northern Jordan Valley, to demolish part of his home, according to local sources. Sources told WAFA that resident, Izzat Rashaida, was forced to demolish the third floor of his under-construction house after receiving a prior demolition notice from Israeli authorities. Around two weeks ago, Israeli forces, accompanied by teams from the so-called "Colonial Council," raided the village and began photographing the house. T.R. *** *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** UNRWA says northern West Bank refugee camps nearly emptied amid widespread destruction NEW YORK, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said the Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, in the northern occupied West Bank, have been nearly emptied of their residents. “With widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure including homes, people now face the prospect of having nowhere to return to.” A statement issued by UNRWA noted that Israeli forces began the demolition of more than 16 buildings in Nur Shams Camp in Tulkarm, in northern West Bank. “This comes less than a week after 11 houses were demolished in the same camp, 14 other houses in the Tulkarm Camp, and controlled detonations in Jenin Camp around a month ago that left the camp uninhabitable,” read the statement. “These large-scale demolitions are an alarming new pattern. They have an unprecedented impact on the Palestine Refugees and seek to permanently change the characteristics of the camps in the northern West Bank,” stressed UNRWA. The Israeli operation has resulted in the largest displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank since the 1967 war, with some 40,000 people forced from their homes, added the UN relief agency. UNRWA teams on the ground are working to meet the needs of those displaced, under the ever-shrinking humanitarian space in the West Bank. The Israeli anti-UNRWA laws, which came into effect on 30 January 2025, have created a vacuum of international protective presence when it is most needed, the statement concluded. In a related development, Israeli so-called ‘Defense’ Minister, Israel Katz, announced that he has instructed the military to continue its occupation of Palestinian refugee camps in the northern West Bank until the end of the year. Katz made this statement on Friday while attending the "Federal Zionism" conference in Tel Aviv, as reported by Israel today. He boasted about the displacement of 40,000 people from the Palestinian refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams, amid the ongoing aggression that has persisted for approximately 50 days. Since the launch of its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military and colonists have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. These assaults have resulted in the killing of nearly 930 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000 others and the detention of 14,500 individuals. T.R. *** United Nations warns of devastating consequences of Israeli operations in West Bank New York, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that Israel's ongoing aggression in the northern West Bank cities and camps continues to have devastating humanitarian consequences. According to OCHA's daily report, Israeli authorities have started demolishing more than 16 buildings in Nur Shams refugee camp, following the destruction of over 20 homes in the area last week. These demolitions are taking place in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams camps, displacing tens of thousands of residents, who are unable to return to their homes. A recent assessment by OCHA and UNRWA, conducted last week in nearly twelve public shelters, revealed a severe lack of water, medications, bedding, sanitation facilities, and hygiene materials for displaced individuals in shelters in Jenin and Tulkarm. Less than half of those interviewed were able to afford food, causing many to reduce or skip meals. Children are also unable to attend school due to ongoing restrictions and a lack of resources, according to the report. Furthermore, access restrictions continue to impede the movement of people across the West Bank. The closure of the Tayasir checkpoint since February has confined over 60,000 Palestinians between the northern Jordan Valley and the rest of Tubas governorate, severely affecting access to markets, workplaces, and services. T.R. *** ýGermany welcomes Palestinian-Egyptian Arab plan for Gaza reconstruction BERLIN, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – The German government welcomed on Friday the adoption of the Palestinian-Egyptian Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza. German government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit expressed his country’s support for the plan presented by the Arab League, noting that it contains many positive elements that can be built upon. He called for the start of constructive discussions in this regard. Meanwhile, German Foreign Ministry spokesperson Sebastian Fischer pointed out that this plan contributes significantly to addressing the political and security issues related to the Gaza Strip, while laying the foundation for sustainable peace. He emphasized that forced displacement operations are a violation of international law. T.R. *** Independent human rights activists condemn Israel’s decision to use starvation as a weapon in Gaza Friday 7-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Independent human rights activists have warned that Israel has resumed using starvation as a weapon against Palestinians in Gaza by violating the ceasefire agreement and preventing humanitarian aid from entering the area. In a joint statement on Thursday, the activists expressed horror at Israel’s decision to suspend all goods and supplies once again, including lifesaving humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, following a decision by the Israeli war cabinet and ministers’ calls to reopen the “gates of hell” on the besieged territory. They added that these actions are clearly illegal under international law. As the occupying power, Israel is always obligated to ensure sufficient food, medical supplies, and other relief services. By deliberately cutting off vital supplies, including those related to sexual and reproductive health and assistive devices for people with disabilities, Israel is once again using aid as a weapon. These actions constitute serious violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law and amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute. The activists noted that the three-phase ceasefire agreement should have led to a permanent cessation of hostilities and the release of all Palestinians and Israelis unlawfully detained as a prerequisite for sustainable peace. Instead, it has resulted in more violence and further destruction of Palestinian life, which is entirely illegal and inhumane. They emphasized that conditions remain extremely harsh, with only a very limited number of tents and mobile homes allowed into Gaza. Palestinians, including children and the elderly, continue to die from cold and miserable conditions. They confirmed that the re-imposition of a comprehensive blockade on a population that has barely survived 16 months of continuous bombardment and repeated forced displacement, along with the destruction of 80% of agricultural land and civilian infrastructure, will exacerbate the dire situation. The activists asserted that creating unlivable conditions for Palestinians under Israeli occupation is Israel’s design across the occupied Palestinian territories, from the devastated Gaza Strip to the West Bank, where the forcible annexation of land is proceeding at full speed. Refugee camps and cities have been bombed, their inhabitants evacuated and looted, while other areas are under attack by armed settlers in collusion with Israeli forces. They pointed out that since the ceasefire came into effect on January 19, 2025, Israeli forces have killed at least 100 Palestinians in Gaza, bringing the total number of martyrs to at least 48,400. In the current situation, Israel seems determined to continue destroying Palestinian lives, including through starvation. In its assessment of the genocide claim against Israel, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to facilitate the delivery of aid to Gaza. In 2024, when the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, the court found “grounds to believe that Israel used starvation as a method of warfare.” The activists said that they are particularly disturbed by the quick endorsement from some countries and regional organizations justifying Israel’s cuts to aid for Gaza. They added, “By resuming its blockade and bombing of Gaza, Israel has unilaterally changed the terms of the ceasefire agreement and subsequent steps. We urge ceasefire mediators in Gaza—Egypt, Qatar, and the United States—to intervene to uphold the agreement in line with international obligations.” They emphasized that Israel is legally obligated to withdraw its occupation forces and comprehensive presence from the Palestinian territories, as declared by the International Court of Justice last year. This forms the basis for any party’s commitments under the terms of the ceasefire agreement. The activists urged countries around the world to remember their obligations under international law and act to end this relentless brutal assault on the Palestinian people and their rights, lest this storm of chaos and injustice engulf the entire world. *** *** =============================================================================================================================== Editorial
