In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

US attacks over the past three days on multiple areas in Yemen have killed eight children and displaced civilians, particularly in the coastal city of Al-'Hudayida, the United Nations children's agency (UNICEF) said, warning that Western coastal areas are "on the verge of a catastrophe" due to malnutrition. Peter Hawkins, UNICEF’s representative in Yemen, described his observations from Al-'Hudayida, stating, “I was in Al-'Hudayida over the past three days. I passed through the western plains, where people are out in the streets and along the roadsides, begging and seeking help. They have lost hope. I personally saw a heavily damaged building where three children were injured in the bombing yesterday.” "We've seen figures of 33% severe and acute malnutrition in certain areas. Especially on the west coast, in Al-'Hudayida it is on the verge of a catastrophe...where thousands will die," Hawkins told reporters in Geneva via video link in San'a. He confirmed that eight children have been killed in the latest airstrikes on northern Yemen, emphasizing that these attacks have had a direct impact on the people living near the targeted areas. "Some of our staff members have also been affected by these bombings. It is truly shocking," Hawkins added. 'Death sentence' for thousands of children Additionally, the UNICEF official warned that the ongoing humanitarian crises in Yemen amount to “a death sentence for thousands of children,” calling on the international community to urgently respond by securing an additional $157 million in humanitarian aid for 2025. *** Four martyrs in new US airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Monday 24-March-2025 SANA’A, (PIC) Yemeni media outlets affiliated with the Ansarullah group announced that a new US aggression targeted the capital San’a on Sunday evening. The Ansarullah-affiliated Al-Masirah TV confirmed that the US attack has left four martyrs and two wounded in a preliminary toll of the aggression on a residential building in the Maeen district. The group’s media outlets reported that the airstrikes hit a building in a residential neighborhood in the Asr area of the Ma'een district in the capital Sana’a. The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) is yet to issue an official announcement about the new airstrikes in Yemen, which came less than 24 hours following similar strikes on Saturday evening on the Majzar district of Marib province (central) and Al-Hudaydah International Airport (west). Ansar Allah’s attacks stopped when a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect in Gaza on January 19, but they were resumed one week ago when Israeli occupation forces renewed aggression on the devastated Gaza Strip. *** IOF kill freed Palestinian prisoner, abduct Oscar-winning filmmaker after lynching him by Israeli settlers By Al-Mayadeen English March 24, 2025 Israeli forces escalated their operations across the West Bank, killing a freed Palestinian prisoner in Qalqilya, detaining an Oscar-winning filmmaker, and continuing assaults on Toulkarm and Jineen. The freed Palestinian prisoner, Bara’a Miskawi, was killed following hours of armed confrontations with Israeli special forces in Al-Naqqar neighborhood of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, amid widespread incursions and detentions across various areas. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Bait Fajjar, raiding the al-Muthallath, Al-Samaqah, and central neighborhoods. They fired live bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas at Palestinians, injuring one Palestinian. Israeli forces also carried out extensive incursions across the West Bank, targeting the al-Ain refugee camp in Nablus, Baitounia west of Ramallah, and the Al-Masayif neighborhood in the city. Oscar-winning Palestinian filmmaker abducted In a separate event, the Palestinian co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, 'Hamdan Ballal, was assaulted by the illegal Israeli settlers and abducted by the Israeli military on Monday in the occupied West Bank, according to the film's co-director, Yuval Abraham. In a post on X, Abraham stated that a group of settlers had attacked Ballal, inflicting head and stomach injuries that caused him to bleed. "They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since," Abraham wrote. Basel Adra, another co-director of the documentary, said Ballal "is still missing after soldiers abducted him, injured and bleeding." The lawyer representing 'Hamdan Ballal has not been able to contact her client. Lea Tsemel, who is also representing two other Palestinians who were detained in the village of Susiya, told the Associated Press that although police said her clients were being held at a military base for medical treatment, she has still not been able to reach them and has no further information on their whereabouts. The incident occurred in the southern West Bank village of Susiya, according to the anti-occupation NGO Center for Jewish Nonviolence, whose members reported witnessing and filming the events firsthand. Filmed in the nearby area of Masafir Yatta, the documentary follows a young Palestinian grappling with forced displacement as the Israeli military demolishes his community’s homes to clear space for a military firing zone. Ongoing attacks on Toulkarm and Jineen Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their assault on Toulkarm and its refugee camp for the 58th consecutive day and on the Nur Shams refugee camp for the 45th day, amid military reinforcements and forced displacement of residents. In Jineen, the Israeli assault has persisted for 64 consecutive days, involving home demolitions, arson, and the conversion of civilian houses into military outposts. Israeli forces deployed additional military reinforcements and bulldozers in the Jineen refugee camp, where they continued razing land, widening roads, and opening new routes. The occupation troops have also been firing live ammunition in the vicinity of the camp while infantry units move through its neighborhoods, accompanied by intensified drone surveillance. Since launching its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military and settlers have escalated attacks across the occupied West Bank, including al-Quds, resulting in the killing of approximately 930 Palestinians and injuring nearly 7,000 others, according to official Palestinian figures. *** ****** Palestinian Ministry of Health: 61 martyrs, 134 wounded in Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours Monday 24-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in a statement on Monday that 61 Palestinians were martyred and 134 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours. The overall number of casualties since Israel launched its war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, on October 7, 2023, had thus reached 50,082 martyrs and 113,408 wounded, the statement added. The Ministry pointed out that an unspecified number of victims are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying on roads and rescue teams cannot reach them. *** 'Hamas mourns senior official killed by an Israeli genocidal air strike on a hospital Sunday 23-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, mourned in a statement issued on Sunday evening the member of its political bureau, Isma'eel Barhoum, who had been killed in an Israeli attack on the Nasir Hospital, while receiving treatment. “We condemn this latest crime, which adds to the occupation’s long record of terrorism, violating sanctities, lives, and medical facilities. It reaffirms its disregard for all international laws and conventions and its continued policy of systematic killing against our people and leadership,” the statement reads. An Israeli genocidal airstrike at the Nasir Hospital in Khan Younus on Sunday killed two people, including Hamas political leader, Isma'eel Barhoum and a child. The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said the strike hit the surgery department at the Nasir Hospital in Khan Younus. Barhoum was being treated at the hospital for wounds sustained in a previous attack. Video footage on social media showed a fire blazing on the third story of the hospital. After two months of relative calm in the war, Gazans have again been fleeing for their lives after Israel effectively abandoned a ceasefire, launching a new all-out air and ground campaign on Tuesday against the Gaza Strip. *** Dozens of Palestinians killed, wounded in renewed Israeli massacres in Gaza Monday 24-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces continued their renewed aggression on the Gaza Strip for the seventh consecutive day, launching dozens of airstrikes in a brutal escalation of genocide. Another airstrike hit a parked civilian vehicle in an agricultural area in the Jorat Al-Lout area, south of Khan Younus, in the southern Gaza Strip. As of now, 16 members of the Civil Defense and Red Crescent remain missing after being trapped yesterday in Rafa'h amid a wide-scale Israeli invasion of the area. Earlier today, five more Palestinians were killed and 13 others were injured when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced persons in central Gaza. The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 50,082 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 113,408 others injured. Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks. Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. M.N *** Israeli bombardment kills Al-Jazeera journalist in Gaza GAZA, March 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli genocidal bombardment killed Al-Jazeera Mubashir TV channel correspondent 'Husam Shabat in the northern Gaza Strip, on Monday (March 24, 2025), according to WAFA correspondent. He said that Al Jazeera Mubashir journalist and contributor, Shabat, was killed in an Israeli genocidal airstrike on his car, in Sala'huddeen Street, in the northern Strip while he was covering events. He added that the same genocidal airstrike also resulted in the killing of four civilians and injuring others. This follows the killing of Mohammad Mansour, a reporter for Palestine Today TV, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in Al-Batn Al-Sameen area, south of Khan Younus earlier on Monday. Local sources said that Israeli occupation forces continued a wave of deadly airstrikes in all parts of the Strip, resulting in a number of fatalities, including Shabat, and casualties. Since its onset in October 2023, the Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza killed over 206 journalists and media personnel across the Strip. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children. The death toll reached 506 with 909 others wounded, according to medical sources. Emergency teams are attempting to recover victims still trapped beneath the rubble. The aggression was resumed amidst concerns over the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Strip given the ongoing siege and ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid. Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 50,082 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 113,408 others. Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip. The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba. K.F. *** Number of martyred journalists in Gaza rises to 208 Monday 24-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza announced that the number of martyred journalists has risen to 208 since the start of the genocidal war on the Strip, following the announcement of the martyrdom of journalist Mohammed Mansour, correspondent of Palestine Today satellite channel, and Al Jazeera Mubashir reporter Hussam Shabat. In a statement on Monday, the PGMO condemned in the strongest terms the targeting, killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation forces, and called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all press bodies in all countries of the world to condemn these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip. It held Israel, the US administration, and the countries participating in the crime of genocide such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for committing this brutal crime. The PGMO called on the international community, international organizations, and journalism and media affiliated organizations worldwide to condemn the Israeli crimes and prosecute Israel in international courts for its brutal crimes and to exert serious and effective pressure to stop the crime of genocide and to protect journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip. For its part, the Media Forum mourned the martyr journalist Mansour, noting that he and his wife died on the path of freedom paved with blood and sacrifices, and for the sake of supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and conveying their suffering to the whole world, as a result of a treacherous Israeli shelling of a house in the Al-Batn Al-Sameen area, south of Khan Younus. The Palestinian Media Forum denounced the international silence and inability to protect Palestinian journalists and enable them to fulfill their professional duty in accordance with international laws and humanitarian covenants. *** Four killed, others injured in renewed Israeli genocidal airstrikes on southern Gaza Strip GAZA, March 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Four Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured Monday evening in renewed Israeli airstrikes on the city of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent. He reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the al-Najjar family in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of the city, killing four civilians and wounding others, including children. The casualties were transferred to Nasser Medical Hospital in the city. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike targeting a house in the downtown part of Khan Younus, claiming the life of a civilian, at a time when another airstrike targeted tents sheltering displaced persons in Al-Batn Al--Sameen area, west of the city, resulting in several casualties. Medical sources announced that the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the killing of over 50 civilians since the dawn hours of Monday. Earlier this evening, Israeli bombardment killed separately Al Jazeera Mubashir correspondent 'Husam Shabat in the northern Gaza Strip as well as Mu'hammed Mansoor, a reporter for Palestine Today TV, in the Al-Batin Al-Sameen area, south of Khan Younus. A.D./ K.F. *** Five Palestinians killed in Khan Younus house attack Monday 24-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Several Palestinians were killed and wounded when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential house in Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip, on Monday evening. Local media sources affirmed that Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Qizan Al-Najjar area, killing five civilians and wounding ten others. Four of the victims were identified as En'am 'Abdullah Mu'hammed al-Najjar, Hiba 'Husam Al-Jazzar, Sa'eed 'Eid 'Abdeen, and 'Omar 'Hamid Al-Najjar. The Israeli occupation deliberately targets civilian homes just before the Iftar meal (the fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan), exploiting the family gathering time. Israel’s relentless bombardment of Gaza continues, with at least 65 Palestinians killed in attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24-hour reporting period. After two months of relative calm in the war, Gazans have again been fleeing for their lives after Israel effectively abandoned a ceasefire, launching a new all-out air and ground campaign on Tuesday against the Gaza Strip. *** Palestinian Ministry of Health: Repeated Israeli targeting of hospitals serious threat to Gaza’s healthcare Monday 24-March-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that the repeated targeting of hospitals by the Israeli occupation army poses a serious threat to healthcare as the entry of medical supplies and field hospitals continues to be blocked, and the number of injured increases due to ongoing aggression. In a statement on Monday, the ministry said that Israel continued its targeting of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, having attacked the surgery department at the Nasir Medical Complex yesterday evening, resulting in the martyrdom of two injured individuals receiving treatment, as well as a massive fire breaking out on the second floor housing the department, and extensive destruction of medical equipment. The Ministry of Health reported that this attack caused panic and confusion among the injured, patients, and medical staff within the complex, affirming that this assault is part of a series of crimes committed by the occupation army against the healthcare sector, which includes targeting medical teams, withholding medications and supplies, and destroying hospitals and care centers, in addition to damaging medical equipment and ambulances. The ministry emphasized that health institutions are protected under international laws and conventions, calling on human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to stop the Israeli violations against the healthcare sector. It is noteworthy that this targeting comes just days after the destruction of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, and before it the Shifa Medical Complex, the Rantisi, Al-Nasr, Kamal 'Udwan, and Indonesian hospitals, confirming Israel’s ongoing targeting of the healthcare system as part of the genocide it is waging against the Gaza Strip. *** Rafa'h Municipality: Thousands of families trapped under bombardment in Tel Al-Sultan Monday 24-March-2025 RAFAH, (PIC) The Rafa'h Municipality has warned that the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in the governorate is experiencing a massacre, stating that thousands of civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, are trapped under the fire of intense Israeli bombardment, with no means of escape or ability to communicate their pleas for help to the world. In a statement on Monday, the municipality noted that communications have completely cut off from the neighborhood, and families remain trapped among the rubble, without water, food, or medicine, amid a total collapse of health services. It confirmed that the injured are left to bleed to death, and children are dying of hunger and thirst under the ongoing siege and bombardment. The municipality pointed out that the fate of ambulance and civil defense crews remains unknown for more than 36 hours after losing contact with them while they were heading to Tel al-Sultan to rescue the injured. It reminded that targeting rescuers and obstructing their work constitutes a heinous war crime and a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws, stressing that what is happening in Tel al-Sultan is an act of genocide being committed before the eyes of the world, amid a shameful silence and unjustified international inaction. The municipality held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for this crime, as well as the international community and active parties for their silence and inaction in the face of these massacres. The municipality called for immediate and decisive international intervention to save the besieged citizens by opening safe passageways for their evacuation, in addition to allowing urgent humanitarian aid to save the injured and those trapped without food, water, or shelter. It urged the need to force the occupation to cease its barbaric attacks on Rafa'h and Tel al-Sultan immediately and to reveal the fate of the ambulance and civil defense crews, calling for accountability for the occupation regarding these crimes before international courts. The municipality affirmed that the continued international silence means direct complicity in these massacres, and the world must act now before Tel al-Sultan turns into a mass grave for its residents and rescuers. *** ý*** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces ***ý Palestinian teen dies in Israeli prison Monday 24-March-2025 RAMALLAH, (PIC) A 17-year-old boy from the West Bank town of Silwad has died in Israel’s Megiddo occupation regime Prison, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners and Detainees’ Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society. According to the joint statement, Israeli officials confirmed the Waleed Khalid 'Abdullah A'hmed’s death but did not provide details on the circumstances of his death. The boy was kidnapped on September 30, 2024, and remained in custody without charge or trial. The two organizations noted that Ahmed’s death adds to the growing list of Palestinians who have lost their lives due to systematic abuses within the Israeli occupation apartheid regime detention facilities. His death brings the confirmed number of Palestinian prisoners who died in Israeli custody since October 2023 to 63 people, including 40 detainees from the Gaza Strip. The organizations condemned A'hmed’s death as a new crime in the record of Israeli detention practices, which they described as reaching unprecedented levels of brutality since the Israeli war of genocide started in Gaza in October 2023. They warned that the rising death toll among detainees is likely to soar as thousands remain in Israeli prisons, and are subjected to systematic abuses, including torture, starvation, medical neglect, sexual violence, and conditions deliberately designed to cause severe illnesses. The statement held Israeli authorities fully accountable for Ahmed’s death and reiterated calls for the international human rights community to take decisive action and urged the implementation of measures to hold Israeli leaders accountable for war crimes, impose sanctions to isolate Israel internationally, and restore the fundamental role of human rights organizations. They finally called for an end to the exceptional impunity granted to Israel by the former colonial powers, which has shielded the occupying regime from accountability. For its part, the 'Hamas Movement mourned the martyr, saying that “the Israeli occupation regime continues its crimes against our heroic prisoners in its jails.” “The torture and abuse our prisoners are subjected to is a full-fledged war crime, violating all international and humanitarian conventions and embodying the Israeli extremist policy of executing prisoners,” the Movement said. 'Hamas also warned that these ongoing violations against Palestinian prisoners will not go unanswered. “Our people and our resistance remain committed to our brave prisoners.” *** Fresh Israeli kidnappings and raids in the West Bank Monday 24-March-2025 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) launched a fresh campaign of raids and arrests overnight and early Monday morning across various parts of the West Bank, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes. In Nablus, clashes erupted following the IOFs raid into the western area of Nablus. At least three youths were kidnapped during the raid. Israeli special forces also raided 'Atteel town and the Shobka suburb in Toulkarm. He added that the occupation forces detained three villagers, including two brothers, noting that there has been a significant uptick in attacks by colonists against Palestinian shepherds and farmers in Al-Maniya. The PGMO reviewed the main repercussions of the genocide and the blockade, noting the deliberate actions by Israel in preventing the entry of essential medicines and treatments, in addition to blocking the arrival of medical supplies and spare parts for hospital generators, and banning hundreds of surgeons and medical delegations from entering. This threatens the lives of thousands of patients, especially given the malfunctioning of many vital medical devices due to the ongoing electricity cuts, it added. The Office said that in light of the continuous genocide, brutal aggression, bloodshed, and the suffocating blockade on the Gaza Strip, Israel continues to commit systematic crimes daily against more than 2.4 million Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip with its policies of border closures, starvation, dehydration, and slow genocide, grossly ignoring all international and humanitarian laws. Continued border closures and prevention of aid and fuel entry It pointed out that for the twenty-third consecutive day, Israel continues its crime of closing the borders and preventing the entry of essential humanitarian supplies, with 600 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks being blocked daily. This has led to a suffocating humanitarian disaster in various vital sectors, especially health and services. Policy of starvation It emphasized that Israel is intensifying its policy of forced starvation on the people of the Gaza Strip, resulting in widespread malnutrition, particularly among children, and the closure of dozens of bakeries due to the lack of cooking gas and the near depletion of flour supplies. Additionally, more than 700 water wells have been destroyed, exacerbating the water crisis and increasing rates of water-related diseases. Paralysis of vital sectors The PGMO warned that the prevention of cooking gas and diesel has halted dozens of bakeries and disrupted the transportation sector, further increasing the suffering of citizens. Hospitals, ambulances, and civil defense services are facing the risk of complete shutdown, alongside declining municipal performance and the disruption of many factories and small businesses, worsening the economic and living crisis. The cessation of water pumps also threatens citizens with thirst and deteriorating health conditions. Electricity cuts and exacerbation of the water crisis According to the statement, Israel’s cutting of electricity to the water desalination plant in Dair El-Bala'h has halted the supply of 20,000 cups of water daily to the central governorates and Khan Younus, in the south, threatening to exacerbate the thirst crisis and increase the spread of infectious and skin diseases in a deteriorating health environment and severe lack of medical services. The Media Office condemned in the strongest terms the continued Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing and held Israel and the U.S. administration fully responsible for these ongoing crimes against civilians. It called on all countries around the world to pressure Israel to stop these crimes and open the borders to allow entry of aid immediately before it is too late. PGMO emphasized that the continuation of these crimes constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and war crimes that require urgent intervention from the international community. It also called on the international community, the United Nations, human rights bodies, and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action and pressure Israel to open the borders and allow the entry of aid and fuel, and to stop these criminal policies that threaten the lives of more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. *** UN says it will reduce its “footprint” in Gaza NEW YORK, March 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The UN Secretary-General António Guterres has taken the difficult decision to reduce the Organization’s footprint in Gaza after the Israeli army resumed the genocidal war in the enclave. “The UN is not leaving Gaza. The Organization remains committed to continuing to provide aid that civilians depend on for their survival and protection,” Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesman for the Secretary-General, told a press conference. In the past week, Israel carried out devastating strikes on Gaza, claiming the lives of hundreds of civilians, including United Nations personnel, with no humanitarian aid being allowed to enter the Strip since early March, Dujarric noted. “As a result, the Secretary-General has taken the difficult decision to reduce the Organization’s footprint in Gaza, even as humanitarian needs soar and our concern over the protection of civilians intensifies,” he revealed. More than three weeks ago, he added, the Israeli government cut off the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza – the longest such suspension since 7 October 2023. He said that Israeli officials have indicated that they intend to continue their military activities in Gaza. In response to reporters' questions, Dujarric said the United Nations will reduce the number of international staff in Gaza, which is 100, by a third this week. He pointed out that the measure is temporary and due to security and operational reasons, expressing hope that staff will return to Gaza as soon as possible. The spokesman said that the vast majority of aid distributions are carried out by local Palestinian UN staff, who continue to work under extremely difficult conditions. “Based on the information currently available, the strikes hitting a UN compound in Deir Al Balah on 19 March were caused by an Israeli tank,” he said. “The strikes claimed the life of a UN colleague from Bulgaria and left six others – from France, Moldova, North Macedonia, Palestine and the United Kingdom – with severe injuries, some of them life-altering.” He said the location of this UN compound was well known to the parties to the conflict, reiterating that all parties to the conflict are bound by international law to protect the absolute inviolability of UN premises. “Without this, our colleagues face intolerable risks as they work to save the lives of civilians,” the spokesman affirmed. The Secretary-General strongly condemns these strikes and demands a full, thorough and independent investigation on this incident. “All parties must comply fully with international law at all times. Civilians must be respected and protected. The denial of lifesaving aid must end,” he stressed. He affirmed that all states must use all their leverage to stop the conflict and ensure respect for international law – by applying diplomatic and economic pressure and combating impunity. “The Secretary-General renews his urgent call for the restoration of the ceasefire to bring an end to the anguish,” Dujarric said.
