While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

UN Commission accuses Israel of genocide in Gaza, citing attacks on schools and religious sites

RAMALLAH, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel has accused Israel of committing genocide by targeting civilians sheltering in schools and religious sites in Gaza, as part of what it described as a “systematic campaign to erase Palestinian life.”

The commission, led by former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, is set to present its full report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on June 17.

In a statement released ahead of the presentation, Pillay said: “There is mounting evidence that Israel is carrying out a deliberate and systematic campaign to eliminate Palestinian life in Gaza.” She added that the targeting of Palestinian educational, cultural, and religious life would have lasting consequences for current and future generations, undermining their right to self-determination.

The commission has examined Israeli attacks on schools, mosques, and cultural institutions to determine whether international law was violated.

According to its latest findings, Israel has destroyed more than 90% of school and university buildings in Gaza, along with over half of the enclave’s religious and cultural sites.

The report also concludes that Israeli forces have committed war crimes, including deliberate attacks on civilians and the killing of people seeking shelter in educational and religious facilities.

The damage to the Palestinian education system, the commission notes, is not confined to Gaza. It highlights a rise in Israeli military operations in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), as well as increasing harassment of students and settler violence. Israel withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council in February, accusing it of bias.

RAMALLAH, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education stated that 16,382 students have been killed and 23,532 injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7, 2023.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Education clarified that the number of students killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached more than 16,245, and 25,959 injured. In the West Bank, 137 students were killed, 897 others were injured, and 749 were detained.

The Ministry indicated that 917 teachers and administrators were killed, 4,347 were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 196 were detained in the West Bank.

It is worth noting that for the second year in a row, high school students in Gaza have been prevented from taking their exams. She noted that schools in Nablus were closed due to the ongoing incursion by Israeli forces since the morning hours.

Gaza’s medical services call for int’l probe into Israel’s targeting of paramedics

Tuesday 10-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Gaza’s directorate of medical services has called on the international community to open an urgent investigation into the Israeli occupation army’s targeting and killing of paramedics in the Gaza Strip, including an attack that killed three of them last night.

In a statement on Tuesday, the directorate has mourned three members of its ambulance and emergency department, who were killed last night by a tank shell while searching for survivors beneath the rubble of a building previously targeted by the Israeli army in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood.

The slain paramedics are 'Husain Mu'haisin (director of the ambulance and emergency services in Gaza governorate), Wa-il Al-'Attar (paramedic), and Baraa 'Afana (volunteer paramedic), according to the directorate.

The directorate affirmed that an Israeli tank fired a projectile directly at them during the presence in the area of the bombed house, adding that another ambulance crew’s attempt to reach the three paramedics was met with fire from Israeli tanks and drones.

“After repeated attempts, our teams were able this morning to recover the martyrs’ bodies from the bombed site, several hours after the incident occurred,” the directorate said.

For its part, the Hamas Movement has described the Israeli persistence in targeting ambulance crews, who are protected under international law, and its killing of three paramedics last night as a “complex war crime that compounds the Zionist occupation’s already egregious record of violations.”

“Targeting those who rescue victims represents an unprecedented level of brutality and criminality and confirms the occupation’s attempt to choke off all means of survival and rescue in Gaza,” Hamas said in a statement today.

Steadfastness Convoy reaches Libya on symbolic journey to break Gaza blockade

Tuesday 10-June-2025

TRIPOLI, (PIC)

A massive solidarity convoy known as the “Steadfastness Convoy” arrived in Libya on Tuesday after crossing the border from Tunisia, continuing its journey toward the besieged Gaza Strip in a symbolic act aimed at challenging the Israeli blockade.

Organized by grassroots movements across North Africa, the convoy consists of more than 1,500 activists traveling in 14 buses and over 100 private vehicles. Participants hail from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and Libya, united in their call to end Israel’s genocide in Gaza and break the 18-year blockade imposed on the enclave.

Convoy spokesperson Nabil al-Shnoufi told Anadolu Agency that thousands welcomed them along their route through Tunisia, including in Sfax, Gabes, Medenine, and Ben Guerdane, where local communities organized public receptions and meals.

The group plans to remain in Libya for up to four days before proceeding toward Egypt. Convoy organizers confirmed they are awaiting approval from Cairo to enter Egyptian territory and reach the Rafah border crossing with Gaza.

Media coordinator Yaseen Al-Qaydi said the convoy is expected to arrive in Cairo on Thursday and aims to reach Rafah by Monday.

“This is not just about delivering aid—it’s about standing with the people of Gaza in their time of greatest need,” said convoy organizer Ghassan Al-Henshiri, speaking to Radio Jawhara FM.

“We’re here to send a clear message: the siege must end, and the world cannot stay silent,” he underscored.

The convoy is part of a wider international movement that includes thousands of activists from 32 countries working to pressure Israel to end its genocidal war on Gaza and allow humanitarian aid to reach the more than two million Palestinians facing starvation and mass displacement.

These efforts come amid increased global outrage over Israel’s ongoing crimes, including its recent hijacking of the solidarity ship Madeleen. The vessel, which sought to deliver aid to Gaza, was intercepted in international waters and its 12 crew members kidnapped and detained by Israeli occupation forces at the port of Ashdod.

As the Steadfastness Convoy advances, its organizers stress that their presence is a symbolic but powerful act of resistance against Israeli policies of collective punishment, siege, and genocide, carried out in full view of a watching world.

Tuesday 10-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued last night and on Tuesday to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

According to local media sources, Israeli occupation forces also continued today to detonate more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine.

Since dawn today, at least 78 Palestinians have been reportedly martyred in Israeli attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporters in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including Israeli strikes that targeted tents sheltering displaced families near the Tayba apartment buildings in western Khan Younus. 'Hamas: The occupation turns aid centers into systematic death traps

Tuesday 10-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement stated that the Israeli occupation authorities have transformed the so-called “American-Israeli aid centers” into systematic death traps, luring starving civilians only to target them with gunfire.

In a press statement, Hamas affirmed that the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of starvation, killing, and exploiting humanitarian aid constitute war crimes and acts of genocide committed in full view of the world.

The statement came in response to the Israeli army’s targeting earlier today of dozens of civilians near two aid distribution centers in western Rafah and southern Gaza City, which resulted in the killing of 14 Palestinians—a repetition of systematic killings under a false humanitarian guise.

'Hamas called for halting operations at these suspicious military-run aid distribution centers and instead relying solely on the United Nations and its agencies as the legitimate and neutral bodies for delivering aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Movement also demanded an independent international investigation into these crimes, the prosecution of Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders, and an urgent intervention by the UN Security Council to stop the genocide and lift the blockade on Gaza.

'Hamas reiterated that the ongoing genocide and war crimes against Gaza for over twenty months will remain a lasting stain on the conscience of humanity.

'Hamas urges int’l community to halt Israel’s deadly distribution of fake humanitarian aid

Tuesday 10-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas Movement has called on the international community and the United Nations to urgently intervene to stop what it described as Israel’s “deceptive and deadly” aid distribution mechanism in Gaza, which it says violates humanitarian standards and has become a tool of genocide.

The appeal came following a deadly incident Tuesday morning near the Netzarim junction, south of Gaza City, where Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) opened fire on crowds of desperate Palestinians attempting to collect US-branded humanitarian aid. At least 20 people were martyred and over 200 injured in what witnesses described as a massacre.

In a press statement, 'Hamas said the IOFs committed “a heinous war crime” by targeting starving civilians with live ammunition at an aid distribution point.

The Movement stated that the incident reflects Israel’s continued policy of “mass murder and systematic starvation”, in open defiance of international law and humanitarian conventions.

“This bloody mechanism, promoted under the false guise of humanitarian relief, has become a death trap,” the statement read.

“More than 150 people, including women and children, have been killed since this aid scheme began—proving it is not aid, but part of a deliberate policy to prolong suffering, break the will of the people, and perpetuate genocide,” it added.

The incident comes as Israel’s genocide in Gaza continues unabated, with over 180,000 Palestinians killed or injured since October 7, 2023, the majority of them women and children.

Two brothers succumb to wounds from Israeli gunfire in Nablus

NABLUS, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

Two brothers succumbed to their wounds sustained after being hit by Israeli army gunfire in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, the Health Ministry announced on Tuesday evening.

The Ministry reported the General Authority of Civil Affairs announcing that Nidhal Mahdi A'hmed 'Ameera, 40, and his brother, Khalid, 35, died of their injuries after being shot by Israeli occupation forces, who were still withholding their bodies.

The gun-toting soldiers opened live ammunition at the 'Ameera brothers in the course of the large-scale military aggression on the city.

Since the predawn hours of Tuesday, the occupation forces have been launching a wide-scale military aggression in the heart of Nablus, in what local sources describe as the largest such incursion in more than two years.

The occupation forces opened fire at Palestinians, including a paramedic, deployed tear gas, kidnapped several individuals, and violently raided homes during the ongoing aggression.

Earlier today, the gun-toting soldiers had fired live ammunition at two Palestinians, including a paramedic, injuring them. Ambulances were blocked from reaching them.

There were cases of tear gas inhalation as the occupying forces fired tear gas bombs at houses in the alleys of the Old City, a densely populated area.

Israeli officers announced a curfew via loudspeakers, ordering residents to remain indoors until Wednesday morning - the first such measure imposed in Nablus since the Second Intifada in 2000, raising fear among residents that it may lead to a prolonged and devastating aggression similar to those taking place in Tulkarm and Jenin.

Two Palestinian men injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets near Nablus

The occupation forces are also directly targeting ambulances with live ammunition near the Martyrs' Roundabout in central Nablus.

Two Palestinians sustain injuries in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers, near Nablus

NABLUS, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

Two Palestinians on Tuesday evening sustained injuries in an attack by a group of the illegal Israeli settlers in the village of 'Osareen, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local and medical sources.

They said that two villagers sustained injuries due to falling after attempting to fend off an attack on the village by Israeli colonists, under the protection of the occupying forces.

The casualties were taken to a local medical center.

Meanwhile, colonists, protected by the occupying forces, barged their way into the main entrance of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiyya village, south of Nablus, and performed Talmudic rituals, obstructing the free movement of Palestinians into and out of the village.

This came as the gun-toting soldiers closed the metal gate at the village entrance.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) in violation of international law.

Israeli occupation forces beat up five youths in Nablus

NABLUS, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday evening brutally beat up five youths in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, inflicting wounds across their bodies, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS said that its crews provided first aid treatment to five young men who sustained wounds due to being physically assaulted by the occupation soldiers in the city.

It added that the casualties were subsequently taken to hospitals for treatment.

Since the predawn hours of Tuesday, the occupation forces have been launching a wide-scale military aggression in the heart of Nablus, in what local sources describe as the largest such incursion in more than two years.

The occupation forces opened fire at Palestinians, including a paramedic, deployed tear gas, arrested several individuals, and violently raided homes during the ongoing aggression.

Israeli officers announced a curfew via loudspeakers, ordering residents to remain indoors until Wednesday morning - the first such measure imposed in Nablus since the Second Intifada in 2000, raising fear among residents that it may lead to a prolonged and devastating aggression similar to those taking place in Toulkarm and Jineen.

Tuesday 10-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped, last night and on Tuesday morning, a number of Palestinian citizens and assaulted a teenager during raids in different West Bank areas, while a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked Immateen village.

According to local sources, the IOFs stormed different areas of Jineen and kidnapped five citizens Qabatya town and two others from the towns of Faqqu'a and Ya’bad.

In Nablus, the Red Crescent said that over 15 citizens, including children, suffered from their exposure to tear gas and received medical assistance during an IOFs raid in the Old City.

A 17-year-old teenager also suffered injuries after Israeli occupation soldiers severely beat him during the IOFs raid in the Old City.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces kidnapped one citizen after ransacking his home in Ras 'Atiya village.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the IOFs kidnapped two citizens from Al-Duhaisha refugee camp and another one from Al-Daw'ha town.

The IOFs also stormed other areas of the West Bank, with no reported kidnappings.

In a separate incident, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers set fire to a car belonging to a Palestinian citizen in Immateen village, east of Qalqilya, and spray-painted racist graffiti on some walls.

Israeli occupation forces raid Jineen-area town, order families to evacuate homes

Jineen, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces detained a young man at dawn on Tuesday during a raid on the town of Faqqu'a, north of Jineen.

Local sources said that the occupation forces kidnappeds A'hmed Al-Dthaker during the raid..

Infantry units deployed in several neighborhoods, and occupation soldiers raided and searched several homes.

The head of the village council, Barakat Al-'Omari, told WAFA that the occupation forces stormed the town at midnight with a large number of infantry units. They raided a house, forced its residents to evacuate, and turned it into a military barracks.

He added that the occupation forces arrested A'hmed Jalghoum after raiding and searching his home and interrogating his family members on the spot.

Meanwhile, occupation soldiers are checking citizens' IDs, obstructing vehicles, and interrogating their owners.

Al-'Omari said that the occupation forces raid the village almost daily due to its proximity to the apartheid wall, but this raid was the largest in terms of the number of soldiers.

The village schools canceled classes for the day and announced the postponement of scheduled exams to a later date, to protect the lives and safety of the students.

It's worth noting that Faqqu'a has a population of 5,200 people and has been surrounded by the apartheid wall since 2003, which has eaten up 240 dunams of its land.

An illegal Israeli settler closes entrance to Salfeet-area village, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces

Salfeet, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

An illegal Israeli settler, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, Tuesday morning closed the entrance to the village of Yasouf, east of the city of Salfeet.

Local sources reported that a colonist, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, blocked the entrance to the village and threw large rocks in the middle of the street.

The sources indicated that this entrance is one of the main and almost only entrances leading to the city of Salfeet, in light of the continued closure of the northern entrance to the city and the gate of the town of Bruqeen, exacerbating the suffering of citizens during their daily commute.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated in a report that the wave of colonists' terrorism last month widely affected villages in the Salfeet Governorate, specifically Bruqeen and Kafr Al-Deek.

The commission indicated that settler attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus with 91 attacks, Ramallah with 89, and Al-Khaleel (Hebron) with 72.

She noted that colonists carried out 356 acts of vandalism and theft of Palestinian property, affecting vast areas of land in the governorates of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Ramallah, Salfeet, Toulkarm, and Nablus.

Meanwhile, Israeli colonists released their livestock among the tents of citizens in Al-Farisiya in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that armed colonists grazed their livestock among the tents of local residents Shamikh Daraghma, sparking fear among his children.

Al-Farisiya witnesses escalating attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers on a daily basis against citizens and their property.

WHO: Gaza’s Al-Amal hospital out of service

ROME, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

Al-Amal Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip has gone out of service, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced on Tuesday.

“Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younus, Gaza, is now essentially out of service due to increasing hostilities in its vicinity,” Ghebreyesus posted on his X account.

“Access to the hospital is obstructed, preventing new patients from reaching care, and leading to more preventable deaths,” he added. “The hospital still has patients who need care, but is not accepting new ones.”

With the closure of Al-Amal, he said, Nasir Medical Complex is now the only remaining hospital with an intensive care unit in Khan Younus.

“Once again — we call for an immediate ceasefire, protection of health facilities and unimpeded access for essential medicines and medical supplies,” the WHO chief said.

Hundreds of Palestinians rally in Gaza to salute hijacked Madeline crew, denounce Israeli piracy

Tuesday 10-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Hundreds of Palestinians gathered Monday near the port of Gaza City in a powerful show of solidarity with the Madeleen, a humanitarian ship intercepted by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) while attempting to break the Israeli-imposed naval blockade on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Waving Palestinian flags and holding signs thanking the international peace activists aboard the ship, demonstrators described the Madeleen vessel as “a ray of hope” and a symbol of humanity’s enduring conscience in the face of genocide.

The rally, attended by local leaders, civil society organizations, and youths, highlighted the growing global support for Palestinians enduring over 18 years of blockade—now intensified by Israel’s ongoing genocidal war.

“This ship is not just sailing across the sea; it is carrying the moral weight of the free people of the world,” said a spokesperson at the rally. “It shows Gaza is not forgotten, not alone, and not silenced—despite the siege, oppression, and closure”, he added.

Rana Al-Zebda, one of the demonstrators, said, “Despite shelling and threats, we gathered to say thank you to the Madleen’s crew. They engraved their names in the memory of Palestine.”

Children distributed handwritten letters of thanks to be sent to the ship’s crew. The event called for continued global efforts to break the siege, protect humanitarian missions, and hold Israel accountable.

Later Monday evening, Israeli naval forces intercepted and forcibly rerouted the Madleen to Ashdod port. The ship was part of an international humanitarian flotilla attempting to deliver aid and break the naval blockade on Gaza.

According to multiple news agencies, Israeli commandos stormed the vessel in international waters. The ship was carrying 12 civilian volunteers of various nationalities and humanitarian supplies for Gaza.

The Associated Press quoted Israeli officials confirming the activists would be detained and deported. Meanwhile, the 'Adalah Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel reported that the Madeleen was still being forcibly towed to Ashdod as of late Monday night.

The Israeli authority has reportedly prepared the Givon prison in Ramla for the activists, where they will be held in separate cells. Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has ordered restrictions on communication, barring any media or contact devices in the detention cells.

Despite claims by Israeli officials that the takeover was peaceful, Palestinian factions and international observers condemned the act as a violation of international law.

Hamas labeled the hijacking as “organized state terrorism”, calling on the United Nations and the international community to demand the immediate release of the detained activists and to act decisively to break the siege.

The Islamic Jihad Movement echoed this stance, calling the storming of the ship a case of “international kidnapping and maritime piracy.”

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza has left more than 180,000 Palestinians martyrs or wounded, including tens of thousands of women and children. Over 11,000 remain missing, and hundreds of thousands have been displaced.

The Madeleen mission was part of a global response to this unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

UK and allies to sanction Israel’s supremacist ministers Ben Gvir and Smotrich

LONDON, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

The UK and several allies are set to sanction Israeli ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich over their conduct during the genocidal war on Gaza, according to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

London will join Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other nations in imposing asset freezes and travel bans on Israel's violently extremist Jewish supremacist National Security Minister Ben Gvir - a West Bank settler - and Finance Minister Smotrich

“UK sanctions Israeli government ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich today, in response to their repeated incitements of violence against Palestinian communities,” the FCO said in a press release.

“Alongside partners Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway, the UK is clear that the rising violence and intimidation by Israeli settlers against Palestinian communities in the West Bank must stop. Measures today cannot be seen in isolation from events in Gaza where Israel must uphold International Humanitarian Law.”

The two have fiercely opposed the entry of international aid into Gaza and advocated for the forced expulsion of Palestinians from the territory, with Smotrich pledging last month that “Gaza will be entirely destroyed” and that Palestinians will “leave in great numbers to third countries”.

The FCO said that both ministers are sanctioned as “Palestinian communities in the West Bank continue to suffer from severe acts of violence by extremist Israeli settlers which also undermine a future Palestinian state.”

“In their personal capacity, Israeli government ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are now sanctioned for their repeated incitement of violence against Palestinian civilians, effective immediately,” it added.

The announcement came after UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, along with the Foreign Ministers of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway slammed both Ben-Gvir and Smotrich for inciting “extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights,” described their actions are “not acceptable”, and initiated action to “hold those responsible to account.”

The Ministers reiterated their steadfast commitment to the two-state solution and pledged to “continue to work with our partners towards its implementation”, while affirming that “It is the only way to guarantee security and dignity for Israelis and Palestinians and ensure long term stability in the region, but it is imperilled by extremist settler violence and settlement expansion.”

They stressed the importance of achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, unimpeded entry of aid into the war-battered enclave, and a “path two a two-state solution”.

The UK reiterated demands that Israel “must cease expansion of illegal settlements which undermine a future Palestinian state, clamp down on settler violence, and condemn inflammatory and extremist statements from both individuals.”

US activists appeal to US Congress members to stop supporting Israeli crimes in Gaza

WASHINGTON, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) –

US activists and human rights organizations have emailed an appeal to members of Congress to take urgent action to stop supporting ongoing war crimes in Gaza by supporting the "Block the Bombs Act," which aims to halt US arms shipments to Israel.

Congresswoman Dalia Ramirez and more than 20 other members introduced a new bill to Congress on the 5th of this month, titled the "Block the Bombs Act."

This bill aims to immediately ban the export of US-made bombs used in Gaza. If passed, this legislation would prohibit the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel and require it to comply with US and international law.

The protesters also called on members of Congress to take immediate action to protect the Freedom Flotilla team and the humanitarian aid bound for Gaza, emphasizing that delivering food and medicine is not a crime, but rather a humanitarian duty.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
