While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Mardawi: Resistance will not disarm until Palestinian national goals are achieved

Friday 15-August-2025

ISTANBUL, (PIC)

Senior 'Hamas official Ma'hmoud Mardawi has declared that the Palestinian resistance will not lay down its arms until it achieves its full national objectives, vowing to continue both armed and popular struggle in the face of Israeli expansionism and ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Mardawi said Israel’s accelerating settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank aligns with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s openly stated vision of creating a so-called “Greater Israel.” He described this strategy as a radical and dangerous policy aimed at annexing Palestinian and Arab lands.

He urged the Arab League to take clear and decisive action to counter these settlement and annexation plans, calling on Arab states to sever ties with the occupation and to empower Arab and Muslim peoples to express their support for the Palestinian cause.

Mardawi stressed that Gaza will not surrender and that the resistance remains steadfast in its positions. “We will not retreat, and we will not give up our weapons until our national aspirations are fulfilled,” he said.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces, backed by the US, continue their genocide in Gaza through mass killings, starvation, large-scale destruction, and forced displacement, defying rulings from the International Court of Justice and repeated United Nations calls to end the war.

According to Palestinian health authorities, the genocide has killed or wounded more than 215,000 people, most of them women and children, with over 9,000 still missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

'Hamas astonished for remarks by PA Foreign Minister calling for disarmament of the resistance

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement expressed regret on Thursday evening over statements made by Palestinian Authority (PA) Foreign Minister, Farsin Aghabekyan, in which she called for the disarmament of the resistance. 'Hamas described her remarks as detrimental to the Palestinian people and their national interests.

In a statement, 'Hamas affirmed that the resistance and its weapons are a national right necessitated by the very existence of the occupation.

The Movement stressed that the resistance’s weapons can only be relinquished upon the full restoration of the Palestinian people’s rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) as its capital.

'Hamas voiced astonishment at the issuance of such positions at a time when Israel is waging a brutal genocide in the Gaza Strip and imposing dangerous realities on the ground in the occupied West Bank, most recently, Smotrich’s plan aimed at isolating Jerusalem, fragmenting the West Bank, confiscating its land, and ultimately displacing its people.

The Movement renewed its call on the PA leadership to retract these statements and to stand alongside the Palestinian people and their national forces in confronting the occupation’s schemes to annihilate and expel them from their homeland.

'Hamas stressed that the future of Gaza and Palestine will be determined by the united will of the Palestinian people, not by the occupation or its dictates.

Palestinian Civil Defense: We need 1,000 aid trucks daily in Gaza

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, stated on Thursday evening that the aid currently entering the Gaza Strip is completely insufficient.

In a press statement, Basal said, “We need 1,000 trucks per day carrying various forms of aid.”

He pointed out that only about 100 trucks are entering daily, most of which go to commercial traders and do not meet the needs of the market.

Since March 2, the Israeli occupation has closed the crossings into Gaza, blocking the entry of food, relief, medical supplies, goods, and fuel, leading to a severe deterioration in the humanitarian situation.

With US support, the Israeli occupation army has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in over 209,000 people killed or injured, the majority of them women and children, along with more than 9,000 missing.

Al-Quds International: Israel wages liquidation war on Jerusalem parallel to the genocide in Gaza

Friday 15-August-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Al-Quds International Institution affirmed that Israel is waging a parallel war in the occupied city of Jerusalem aimed at liquidating its identity and sanctities, in conjunction with the genocide it is committing in the Gaza Strip. The institution called for urgent Arab and Islamic action that goes beyond verbal condemnation and halts the path of normalization.

This came in a statement issued by the institution’s Board of Directors following its meeting on Thursday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, chaired by Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-A'hmar, and attended by several board members. The meeting discussed the developments of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation’s accelerating schemes in Jerusalem, and the institution’s efforts to confront them.

The statement warned that Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) has been, and still is, a parallel front to Gaza in terms of liquidation, pointing to the escalation of Judaization measures in Al-Aqsa Mosque, repeated assaults on the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, mosques, and cemeteries, in addition to waves of displacement in the neighborhoods of Silwan and Al-Shaikh Jarra'h, the demolition of hundreds of buildings, the closure of UNRWA schools, and the accelerated displacement of Bedouin communities in Al-Khan El-A'hmar, Jabal El-Baba, and Wadi El-Jammal, as part of the US-backed “Greater Jerusalem” project.

Regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque, the institution stressed that the occupation is now openly pursuing its plan to eliminate the Mosque and establish the so-called Temple in its place, warning that “the religious division imposed by the occupation has become a painful reality, and the danger of Judaizing Al-Aqsa is escalating through attempts to build a synagogue inside it or cut off parts of it.” This, the statement said, requires a comprehensive mobilization from the Muslim Ummah to defend the First Qibla.

The statement called on Arab and Islamic countries and their organizations to take practical steps to stop the liquidation war targeting Jerusalem’s identity, warning that the continuation of normalization and watching Gaza’s tragedy unfold will lead to further Israeli aggression, especially in light of statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about a “Greater Israel” that includes the occupation of new Arab lands.

In this context, the institution announced its intention to organize the “Covenant for Jerusalem Conference” before the end of this year “with the aim of unifying the Ummah’s efforts in confronting the liquidation war.” It also called for commemorating the anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque on August 21 with media campaigns and field activities.

The statement concluded with a salute to the steadfast people of Gaza, who “have written an epic of patience and blood,” affirming the continuation of its efforts to support them. It also saluted the steadfast worshipers in Jerusalem, the people of the West Bank and 1948 occupied Palestine, the prisoners, and the free people of the world who expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, calling for greater steadfastness and resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem and its sanctities.

Ben Gvir threatens imprisoned leader Marwan El-Barghouthi with death

Friday 15-August-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, who is also an illegal settler in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, has threatened imprisoned Palestinian leader Marwan El-Barghouthi with assassination during a visit to the prison where El-Barghouthi is being held.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, Ben Gvir met with El-Barghouthi  at the notorious “Ganot” prison in the Negev Desert, where the Israeli occupation holds prominent Palestinian prisoner leaders. During the visit, Ben Gvir told El-Barghouthi that “those who carry out operations against the Jewish people deserve death.”

In a video clip that has surfaced, Ben Gvir appears threatening El-Barghouthi , who looks weak and pale, saying, “Whoever commits acts of murder against the Jewish people will be erased from existence.”

Ben Gvir added, “You will not defeat us. Whoever messes with the people of Israel, kills our children and women, we will erase them from existence. You need to understand that. This has always been the case throughout history.”

Ben Gvir was accompanied during the visit by the head of the Israeli Prison Service, Kobi Yaakovi, a close associate he appointed to the position.

Along the same line, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) confirmed that the warning issued by the UN Secretary-General regarding documented information about the Israeli occupation state’s perpetration of sexual violence crimes against Palestinian detainees and prisoners in prisons, detention centers, and military bases puts Israel at serious risk of being listed in the upcoming UN report among countries committing such crimes in conflict zones.

In a statement released Thursday, the PPS emphasized that merely issuing warnings and expressing concern is no longer effective amid the ongoing genocidal war being waged by the occupation against the Palestinian people.

It stressed that what prisoners are enduring represents one of the most severe aspects of this genocide, carried out through a systematic structure of crimes within Israeli prisons.

The human rights organization recalled testimonies and accounts gathered from detainees from Gaza by prisoners’ institutions, confirming that these include undeniable evidence of various crimes, including sexual violence.

The statement also pointed to a leaked video showing Israeli soldiers raping a Gaza detainee inside the “Sde Teiman” military base, one of the most notorious camps still operating as a site of torture and abuse, along with many other prisons and detention facilities where similar crimes have been documented.

It noted that torture crimes in Israeli detention centers and prisons have led to the death of 76 detainees and prisoners since the start of the genocidal war. These are only those whose identities are known, while dozens of other martyred detainees remain forcibly disappeared.

The PPS stressed that international human rights institutions must regain their true role, which has largely been lost due to persistent inaction and failure since the onset of the assault and genocide. It affirmed that the world’s silence only emboldens Israel to further escalate its grave violations.

'Hamas condemns Ben-Gvir’s raid on El-Barghouthi’s prison cell as ‘fascist act of the occupation’

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement on Friday denounced what it called a fascist display by the Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, after the far-right extremist minister stormed the prison cell of senior Palestinian leader Marwan El-Barghouthi and threatened him.

In a statement, 'Hamas said the raid on El-Barghouth’s cell would only strengthen his determination to continue his legitimate struggle for the freedom and dignity of the Palestinian people.

The Movement linked Ben-Gvir’s conduct to the wider record of Israeli war crimes, citing the notorious Sde Teiman detention facility, where Palestinian detainees have suffered what it described as “horrific abuses.”

'Hamas called for mass public solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and intensified grassroots pressure to confront ongoing crimes by the Israeli occupation forces.

According to footage aired by Israeli media, Ben-Gvir entered El-Barghouthi’s cell and told him, “You will not defeat us. Whoever harms the people of Israel, kills children, kills women, we will wipe them out.”

On July 17, Ben Gvir boasted publicly about starving Palestinian prisoners, attending a Supreme Court hearing over a petition filed by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel regarding prison living conditions.

Mocking concerns over food standards, he wrote on X, “Instead of discussing deterrence, they wonder if the menu is balanced, healthy, and has enough vitamins.”

He labeled the petition “insanity and delusion,” adding, “The State of Israel is at war [the genocide in Gaza], and while our soldiers sacrifice their lives, the Supreme Court wastes time with hypocrites.”

Ben-Gvir concluded his remarks by affirming, “I am here to ensure terrorists get the bare minimum of the bare minimum.”

Since taking office in late 2022, Ben-Gvir’s tenure has seen a severe deterioration in the treatment of Palestinian prisoners, according to rights groups.

Nearly 61,900 Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 2023, as Israeli attacks persist

Tarek Chouiref  |15.08.2025 - Update : 16.08.2025

PIC & Anadolu, ISTANBUL --

At least 61,827 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023,the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Friday.

In its daily update, the Ministry said 51 people were killed, including four retrieved from the rubble, and 369 injured over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of injuries to 155,275 since the war began.

The Ministry also reported the death of a young girl due to starvation and malnutrition, as famine continues to claim lives in Gaza amid a crippling Israeli blockade that has choked off food and medical supplies. The total number of starvation-related deaths now stands at 240, including 107 children.

Civil defense teams continue to struggle to reach victims trapped under rubble or lying in the streets due to relentless Israeli bombardment and severe shortages of rescue equipment.

Since March 18, when Israel resumed its military assault after breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, the ministry said 10,300 Palestinians have been killed and 43,234 injured.

The Health Ministry also said Israeli forces are continuing to target Palestinians attempting to obtain humanitarian aid, with 17 killed and 250 wounded in the past day alone. Since May 27, Israeli forces have killed 1,898 Palestinians and injured 14,113 more as they tried to access humanitarian aid.

Israel’s siege on the enclave, which intensified in March with the closure of all crossings, has plunged Gaza’s 2.4 million residents into a deep humanitarian crisis marked by famine, disease, and the collapse of basic services.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its war on the enclave.

Nine killed, including 6 aid seekers, in deadly Israeli assaults across the Gaza Strip

GAZA, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Nine Palestinians, including six aid seekers, were killed in deadly Israeli assaults northwest of the Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

Citing medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, he said that the bodies of six slain Palestinians who were waiting to receive aid and other casualties were admitted to the hospital after the Israeli army targeted aid seekers.

Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike targeted an apartment near Imam Al-Shafi'i Mosque in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, claiming the life of a female child and resulting in seven casualties.

Another airstrike targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the vicinity of the outpatient clinic of the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h, resulting in fatalities and casualties.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip, killing 10,251 and injuring 42,865.

In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 54 slain Palestinians, including four retrieved from the rubble, and 831 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 61,776 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 154,906 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

On day 679: Key updates on Israel’s ongoing genocidal war in Gaza

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces continued their genocidal war on the Gaza Strip for the 679th consecutive day, marked by relentless air and artillery bombardments and the killing of starving civilians and displaced persons, all under American political and military support, and amid unprecedented international silence and failure.

The PIC correspondents reported that the Israeli military has carried out dozens of airstrikes and committed further massacres, deepening the suffering of over two million displaced Palestinians facing a worsening famine.

Latest developments:

Medical sources in Gaza hospitals reported multiple casualties on Friday, including several aid seekers, in various areas of the Strip since dawn.

Loud explosions were heard as Israeli forces detonated booby-trapped robots and demolished residential homes in central Khan Younus.

Israeli artillery shelled the “Abu Share’a” area in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.

Israeli tanks opened heavy fire in northwestern Khan Younus, in southern Gaza.

Four-year-old child Ali Hammam 'Hasan succumbed to his wounds after an Israeli airstrike hit his home in Dair El-Bala'h days ago.

Two Palestinians were killed and others injured after an Israeli strike targeted a tent sheltering displaced families near the communications junction in Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation forces blew up residential buildings while simultaneously firing tank shells in central and northern Khan Younus.

Meanwhile, a disturbing video documented the moment Israeli forces targeted three Palestinians as they tried to retrieve the body of a martyr in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in eastern Gaza last May.

Ongoing genocide:

With full US support, Israeli forces continue waging a genocidal war against Gaza. According to the Ministry of Health, the casualties have now reached:

61,722 martyrs

154,525 injuries

Over 10,000 missing persons

Severe famine has claimed dozens of lives, while over two million Palestinians endure forced displacement under total devastation.

10,201 were killed, and 42,484 injured following Israel’s breach of the ceasefire agreement on 18 March 2025.

Since May 27, 2025, when Israel turned limited aid distribution points into deadly ambushes, 1,859 Palestinians have been killed and 13,594 injured, with 45 missing. This escalation was linked to the use of the controversial “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, an Israeli-American entity rejected by the UN, as a tool to impose surrender and death under the guise of “aid delivery.”

Famine and targeting of aid workers:

Deaths due to hunger and malnutrition: 227, including 103 children

Medical workers killed: 1,590

Civil defense members killed: 115

Humanitarian aid police and security personnel killed: 754

Massacres and infrastructure destruction:

Over 15,000 massacres committed

Over 14,000 families targeted, with 2,500 families completely wiped from civil records

According to the Government Media Office and UN bodies:

88% of Gaza’s buildings destroyed

Estimated losses: $62+ billion

Israeli forces control 77% of Gaza’s territory through invasion, firepower, and displacement

Destruction of institutions:

149 schools, universities, and educational institutions fully destroyed

369 partially destroyed

828 mosques fully destroyed

167 mosques partially destroyed

19 cemeteries destroyed

Sewage floods Gaza’s Nasir Medical Complex as Israeli genocide cripples infrastructure

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Nasir Medical Complex in Khan Younus has been inundated with sewage, flooding hospital wards and its outdoor courtyard on Thursday. The incident has partially disrupted medical teams’ work and created hazardous sanitary conditions, posing a serious threat to patients and visitors.

According to hospital management, in-house maintenance crews immediately began addressing the problem, but on-site inspections revealed that the source of the issue lies in the main sewage lines in central  Khan Younus. These lines have sustained severe damage from Israeli occupation forces’ (IOFs) attacks, making repairs impossible so far.

Iyad Barhoum, the administrative director of Nasir Medical Complex, said that IOF units have been preventing technical teams from reaching the damaged lines, further worsening the crisis and undermining the hospital’s ability to provide essential care amid Gaza’s worsening humanitarian catastrophe.

The hospital has appealed to all international bodies, particularly the World Health Organization and human rights organizations, to urgently pressure Israel to allow repair crews’ access to the sewage infrastructure in central  Khan Younus, in order to protect patients’ health and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of medical services.

Friday 15-August-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Illegal Israeli settler attacks and violations against several Palestinian towns and cities continued on Friday morning, as settlers carried out arson acts targeting citizens’ properties and opened fire with live ammunition, resulting in injuries and significant damage.

Vehicles set on fire

At dawn on Friday, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers torched four vehicles and parts of a house in the town of Attara, northwest of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the settlers attacked the eastern area of Attara, set fire to four vehicles, and threw Molotov cocktails at a house, causing material damage. They also noted that the settlers spray-painted racist slogans on the walls, while fire trucks rushed to extinguish the flames.

Sources added that Israeli occupation forces stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers.

Civilians injured in Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya

In a related incident, three civilians were injured by live fire on Friday morning during a settler attack on the town of Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya, east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, general coordinator of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights and Targeted Villages, said that settlers attacked families from the Ka'abna tribe, farmers, and residents while they were present on their lands, resulting in three young men being injured by live bullets.

One of the injured was identified as Salama Mu'hammed Ka'abna. All injured individuals were transferred immediately to hospitals for necessary treatment.

Mulai'hat confirmed that the assault involved heavy gunfire, causing panic and fear among residents who were forced to flee their lands in search of safety.

He stressed that the surge in recent attacks reflects a systematic policy targeting Palestinians and their properties.

He also pointed out that the areas surrounding Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya have witnessed a noticeable escalation in settler attacks, amid ongoing occupation policies aimed at expanding illegal settlements at the expense of Palestinian lands, a development that exacerbates insecurity and poses a direct threat to residents and their agricultural lands.

Man and his wife injured

Also at dawn on Friday, a man and his wife were injured following a settler assault in Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel in the southern occupied West Bank.

Activist Osama Makhamra reported that a group of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked homes in the village of Susiya in Masafir Yatta and assaulted citizen Khadhir Jumaa Nawaj'a and his wife Fatima Khaleel Nawaj'a, causing them head and hand injuries.

He added that the settlers beat the couple with sticks and batons. They were taken to the Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment.

In the same area, settlers attacked the home of Nasir Nawaj'a, cut down several fruit trees, and smashed Khadhir Nawaj'a’s vehicle.

In recent weeks, settlers have intensified their assaults on residents and their properties in Masafir Yatta in an apparent effort to forcibly displace the population in favor of settlement expansion.

IOFs and illegal settler attacks escalate across West Bank

Friday 15-August-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) and illegal settlers continued their assaults on Palestinian civilians across various areas of the West Bank as part of an escalating pattern of daily violations targeting Palestinian towns and villages.

In Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), a group of settlers stormed citizens’ lands in the town of 'Hizma, northeast of the city, provoking residents and attempting to seize agricultural areas, under heavy protection from Israeli forces.

Additionally, settlers also under the protection of the Israeli army closed the road connecting the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Fala'h, east of Ramallah, obstructing civilian movement and causing a severe traffic jam.

In Jineen, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Silat Al-Dthahr, conducting searches in Palestinian homes, accompanied by a heavy military presence in the residential neighborhoods.

In Salfit Al-Dthahr, the IOFs stormed the town of Al-Zawiya in the western area of the governorate and set up military checkpoints at its entrances, while simultaneously conducting searches in the surrounding areas.

These violations come amid an ongoing escalation by Israeli forces against Palestinians and their property, as part of a broader policy aimed at pressuring residents and tightening control over Palestinian lands.

Also on Friday, settler gangs forcibly displaced two Palestinian families from the Al-'Auja waterfall area, north of Jericho in the occupied West Bank.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, general supervisor of Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouins and Targeted Villages, reported that settler groups forcibly expelled the families of 'Aayid Mousa Ka’abna and Ibraheem 'Aayid Ka’abna after violently attacking them in the vicinity of their homes.

He added that the illegal Israeli settlers surrounded the families, brutally beat them, and issued direct death threats, describing the incident as “one of the most extreme forms of terrorism.”

Mulai'hat explained that settlers had recently established outposts just 300 meters from the families’ homes, turning their lives into a daily nightmare. The families have endured ongoing harassment, repeated invasions, property destruction, and deliberate terrorization, all aimed at driving them out of the area.

Illegal Israeli settlers forcefully displace two families near Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Friday forcefully displaced two families from Al-'Auja Bedouin community, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to an activist.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that colonist militias besieged the dwellings of the families of 'Aayid Mousa Ka'abna and Ibraheem 'Aayid Kaa'bna, brutally beat and threatened to kill them, before forcing them to leave the community.

He added that Israeli colonists recently set up an outpost located just 300 meters away from the community, with colonists storming the community, vandalizing property, and intimidating Palestinians daily, making it unbearable.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.

RAMALLAH, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Friday evening opened live fire on Palestinian civilians in the Sinjil town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that colonists driving a vehicle stormed the western part of the town and opened fire at defenseless villagers, but without any casualties.

Colonists also barged their way into the Tell and El-Batn localities in the town.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

France condemns Israeli demolition of West Bank school under construction

PARIS, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

France on Friday condemned the Israeli destruction of a school under construction in the Al-Aqaba village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Toubas, according to Anadolu Agency.

"France strongly condemns the destruction by Israeli authorities of a school under construction in the northern West Bank, funded by the French Development Agency in cooperation with the European Union. We are demanding accountability from the Israeli authorities for this demolition," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry recalled that the school was expected to serve approximately 100 children, and pointed out that it was the second demolition of a French-funded project in the West Bank, after the Al-Bustan center in East Jerusalem.

It stressed that “the continuation of the settlement policy constitutes a serious violation of international law and threatens the prospect of a two-state solution.”

The school was intended to be a two-story building, covering an area of 704 square meters, and constructed on a five-dunum plot of land.

Friday 15-August-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers cut down olive trees in the village of Abu Fala'h, northeast of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, on Friday.

Lazzarini: We have enough relief supplies for Gaza to fill 6,000 trucks

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini confirmed on Thursday that the agency possesses relief supplies designated for the Gaza Strip that are sufficient to fill 6,000 trucks, calling for their immediate entry.

In a press statement, Lazzarini said, “The agency has been prevented from delivering aid to Gaza for more than five months.”

“Our warehouses in Egypt and Jordan are full of food, medicine, and hygiene supplies, enough for 6,000 trucks.”

The UNRWA chief also called for a ceasefire in Gaza and for allowing entry of aid under United Nations supervision.

The Gaza Strip is currently facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, with conditions continuing to deteriorate amid a total closure of border crossings, despite a previously agreed ceasefire and prisoner exchange that Israel has failed to implement.

Israeli forces, backed by the United States, continue their war on Gaza through killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of International Court of Justice rulings and repeated UN calls to end the war.

The ongoing assault has resulted in over 215,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, most of them children and women, with more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

UNICEF: 13,000 children in Gaza suffer from severe malnutrition in July

Friday 15-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UNICEF spokesperson in Palestine, Kadthim Abu Khalaf, announced that 13,000 children in the Gaza Strip have entered a state of severe malnutrition during the month of July.

In press statements made Thursday, Abu Khalaf also revealed that 40% of pregnant and breastfeeding women in Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition.

He noted that the entry of 600 aid trucks daily over several months might help restore some balance in the Gaza Strip.

The humanitarian catastrophe is worsening at an unprecedented rate in Gaza, with the situation continuing to deteriorate amid a complete closure of border crossings, despite a previously announced ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that Israel has failed to implement.

Israel, with US backing, is carrying out a campaign of genocide against the population of Gaza through systematic killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in blatant defiance of international appeals and International Court of Justice rulings calling for an end to the war.

Palestine appeals to ICRC to protect Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons

RAMALLAH, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Palestine has urgently appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to intervene to protect Palestinian detainees held in Israeli occupation prisons.

Palestine’s permanent observer to the United Nations and international organizations in Switzerland, Ambassador Ibraheem Khuraisha, sent an urgent letter to ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, urging her to immediately act to safeguard the lives of Palestinian detainees, who are subjected to torture, starvation, and ill-treatment in Israeli occupation detention cells.

In the letter, Khuraisha condemned the occupation’s policies, which have led to the deterioration of the health and humanitarian condition of Marwan Barghouti, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, who continues to serve years in solitary confinement, facing beatings, restraints, and death threats.

He stressed that these violations are part of a systematic policy targeting the Palestinian people and leadership, aimed at ethnic cleansing, and held the occupation fully responsible for the safety of detainees.

Khuraisha called for the immediate release of those most at risk, including the sick, elderly, women, children, and administrative detainees. He also condemned the assault carried out by the so-called far-right Israeli Minister of “National Security”, Itamar Ben Gvir, who stormed Barghouti’s cell and threatened him with death, describing it as a serious crime amounting to attempted murder that requires urgent international intervention.

Khuraisha concluded the letter by stressing that the fate of Marwan El-Barghouthi and all Palestinian detainees depends on immediate international action, calling on the ICRC and the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions to fulfill their responsibilities and ensure the protection of the lives and dignity of the detainees in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Palestine’s Ambassador to the UN condemns the Israeli minister’s visit to the jailed Fat'h leader, Marwan El-Barghouthi

NEW YORK, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Palestine’s Ambassador to the UN, Riyadh Mansour, condemned on Friday Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir for visiting the prison cell of and threatening long-imprisoned Fatah leader Marwan El-Barghouthi.

Masnour condemned in a press statement “the actions of fascist Ben Gvir, who stormed the cell of prominent national leader Marwan El-Barghouthi, heaping onto him abusive language and racist, fascistic hate.”

He said that Ben Gvir posted the video of himself on his personal account on X, “boasting of his deplorable and immoral behavior in violation of international law which prohibits such heinous acts in dealing with prisoners and detainees.”

He pledged that “those criminals who kill our children, women, and tens of thousands of our people and abuse our brave prisoners and detainees will be prosecuted in international courts and receive the punishment they deserve for all their crimes against our brave Palestinian people.”

He called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) to “take the necessary measures to restrain Israel, the Occupying Power, and its leaders from such violations of international law and to prosecute these criminals and hold them legally accountable.”

Committee: Occupation authorities systematically eradicate Christian presence in the Holy Land by targeting the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation authorities are waging a systematic campaign to eradicate Christian presence in the Holy Land by targeting the Orthodox Church in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Higher Presidential Committee of Church Affairs in Palestine said in a press statement.

The Committee has sounded the alarm over an unprecedented assault on the churches of the Holy Land, led by a direct attack on the Orthodox Patriarchate in Jerusalem. The Committee warned that these actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at dismantling the authentic Christian presence in Palestine and stripping the land of its historic religious institutions.

In a letter addressed to church hierarchs worldwide, PLO Executive Committee member and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, Ramzi Khouri, stated that Israeli occupation authorities have frozen the bank accounts of the Patriarchate and imposed crippling, unjust taxes on its properties.

“Such measures severely threaten the Church’s ability to provide spiritual, humanitarian, and community services, constituting a flagrant breach of the historic Status Quo and a gross violation of international law and binding agreements,” he added.

The Committee added that “the assault extends beyond financial strangulation.” It elaborated: “Lands belonging to the Orthodox Church around the Monastery of Saint Gerasimus (Dair Hijla) near Jericho have been targeted through aggressive settlement expansion. In the past two years, new illegal settlement outposts have been established in the Jericho area, posing a direct threat to its historic and sacred character and forming part of a broader plan to erase Palestine’s Christian and historical identity.”

“These measures are inseparable from the wider occupation strategy to alter the identity of Jerusalem, erase its religious and cultural character, and ultimately eliminate the Palestinian presence in the city,” the Committee stressed.

It slammed any possible silence from the international community and global churches as “a green light for the continuation and escalation of these oppressive actions.”

The Committee further highlighted that “these policies coincide with ongoing war, genocide, and starvation in the Gaza Strip – now in its 670th day – as well as ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Most recently, the extremist Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich approved the construction of thousands of settlement units under the colonial “E1” plan east of Jerusalem, a move that would shatter any prospect of a continuous and unified Palestinian state.”

The letter concluded with an urgent appeal to churches and Christian institutions worldwide to “take immediate political, legal, and media action to halt these violations and defend the Church’s freedom to carry out its spiritual and humanitarian mission.”

“Protecting the churches of Palestine is a collective responsibility and a historic trust,” the Committee affirmed.

Pakistan condemns Netanyahu's 'Greater Israel' comment

ISLAMABAD, August 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Pakistan condemned on Friday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's comments voicing support for a "Greater Israel" in an i24NEWS interview on Tuesday.

“Pakistan strongly condemns and rejects recent statements made by the Israeli Occupying power, alluding to the creation of so-called “Greater Israel,” and its designs aimed at the forcible displacement of Palestinians from Gaza,” Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.

It called on the international community to “outrightly reject such provocative notions that constitute a flagrant violation of the international law, principles of the UN Charter, as well as the relevant United Nations resolutions.”

“Such statements reflect the occupying power’s intention to entrench its illegal occupation, as well as its complete contempt for all international efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.”

The Ministry urged the international community to “take immediate and tangible measures to prevent the occupying power from further destabilizing the region, and to end its ongoing crimes and atrocities against the Palestinians.”

“Pakistan reaffirms its full support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, including the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital,” it added.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
