While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

UN rapporteur accuses Israel of concealing evidence regarding killing of the Palestinian paramedics in Rafa'h

RAMALLAH, April 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Palestine, Francesca Albanese, said that what is happening in Gaza is not a war, but a genocide, and that there is no protection for Palestinian lives.

She added in a post on X that, "The evidence of the killing of paramedics in Rafa'h has been hidden, and that the Israeli army faces no restrictions or controls on the killing of Palestinians."

The UN Special Rapporteur also added that "Western leaders claim to protecting civilians, while rolling out the red carpet for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, considering protecting Netanyahu more important than protecting international law or protecting Palestinians."

Albanese emphasized that freedoms are being violated in the West, calling for a revolution against a regime that crushes freedoms and harms civilians.

Video footage refutes Israeli's allegations regarding the killing of 15 aid workers in Rafa'h

GAZA, April 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

A video footage of a paramedic whose body was found in a mass grave containing the bodies of 15 rescue workers killed by Israeli forces on March 23 in Rafa'h refuted the Israeli occupation's claims that it did not randomly attack the ambulances and failed to recognize them because they were without lights or emergency signals.

The video, published by the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz and cited by the New York Times, clearly showed that the ambulances and fire trucks carrying the paramedics and civil defense personnel were clearly marked and had their emergency lights on when they were fired upon by Israeli forces.

The New York Times explained that the video, which it received from a senior UN diplomat, clearly shows the ambulances and a fire truck carrying 14 rescue and civil defense personnel with their emergency lights on when they came under fire, belying Israeli claims that the vehicles were "moving erratically" without lights or warning signals.

The New York Times confirmed that it had verified the timing and location of the video, in which a paramedic's voice is heard repeating the Shahada during the shooting.

'Hamas calls for int’l action to curb Israel’s crimes against Palestinian children

Saturday 5-April-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

On Palestinian Children’s Day, the Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has said that Israel’s crimes against Palestinian children are “imprescriptible,” calling for taking legal action against its leaders and adding its army to the UN list of shame.

In a statement on Saturday, Hamas called for prosecuting Israeli leaders as war criminals and making serious efforts to protect Palestinian children against the Israeli occupation regime’s “brutality and crimes.”

Hamas warned that impunity encourages the Israeli regime to escalate its crimes against innocent Palestinian children, condemning the international community and its human rights organizations for failing to take action to hold Israel accountable.

Hamas called on human rights group to shoulder their responsibilities towards Palestinian children through exposing Israel’s crimes against them and providing them with protection.

Hamas also accused the Israeli occupation of “systematically targeting Palestinian children by using them as human shields, depriving them of education, and attempting to undermine their national identity in 1948 occupied Palestine through tampering with curricula, spreading crime and destroying values.”

Since the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip started in October 2023, about 19,000 children have been killed, some 39,000 have lost one or both parents and 1,100 others have been kidnapped or jailed. Famine, malnutrition and disease also threaten the lives of hundreds of them, according to the Movement.

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), April 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian man Saturday was injured after being attacked and brutally assaulted by Israeli colonists while he was plowing his land in the southern part of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

Citizen Mudhar Ghayth told WAFA that the a group of Israeli colonists  assaulted his brother Hudthayfah while he was plowing the family's land in Wadi al-A'awar, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron). 38 Palestinian martyrs in Jineen and its camp since the beginning of Israeli aggression

Saturday 5-April-2025

Jineen, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have continued their aggression against the city of Jineen and its refugee camp for the 75th consecutive day, with large-scale incursions into the governorate’s towns.

The number of martyrs in Jineen rose to 38 martyrs, including two shot by the Palestinian Authority (PA) security services. The latest victim was freed prisoner Hussein 'Hardan, who was shot and killed by the IOF on Nazareth Street.

In latest field developments, IOF arrested the father and brother of the freed prisoner Sultan Khalouf from Burqeen town, west of Jineen, to pressure him to turn himself in.

The IOFs also stormed Al-Dabbous and Al-Attari neighborhoods in Jenin city and raided a number of citizens’ homes, with Israeli soldiers raising the Israeli flag on the rooftop of a Palestinian house in Jenin refugee camp.

Israeli troops were deployed in Al-Zahraa neighborhood, Al-Ghabz area in the vicinity of the camp and Wadi Burqeen, amid continued building of and expanding roads, changing the features of the camp, and demolishing citizens’ homes.

The occupation forces have been chasing the displaced residents of the camp to other areas. In one such case, they arrested the young man Sanad Abu Nu'aj from Jineen camp after raiding the house to which his family resorted.

Due to the aggression, the humanitarian conditions of 21,000 displaced people have worsened, with thousands losing their jobs and livelihoods, in light of the ongoing siege.

The IOFs completely destroyed about 600 houses in Jenin camp, and 3,250 housing units became uninhabitable due to destruction and arson attacks during the ongoing aggression, in addition to the widespread destruction of streets and infrastructure.

The Media Committee in Jenin camp warned against the escalation of the coordination policy between the PA and the IOF, which aims to impose a fait accompli in the camp and facilitate the IOF mission.

As the Israeli offensive against Jenin and its refugee camp continues, the PA went on to arrest dozens of young men from the city and the camp, the Media Committee added.

The IOFs expand aggression, sabotage houses in Nour Shams and Toulkarm refugee camps

Saturday 5-April-2025

Toulkarm, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have continued their brutal aggression against Toulkarm city and its refugee camp for the 69th day in a row, and for the 56th day on Nur Shams refugee camp, amid ongoing military escalation.

The IOFs sent military reinforcements to the city and its two camps, Toulkarm and Nour Shams, at dawn Saturday, and deployed large infantry teams inside neighborhoods, storming homes and firing live ammunition and flare bombs.

Israeli troops have been stationed in several houses inside Toulkarm and Nour Shams camps, turning a number of them into military barracks, while army vehicles were deployed in various streets of the city, especially on Nablus Street and the surroundings of the two camps, amid an imposed siege on both of them.

The Nour Shams camp witnessed at dawn today heavy firing of flares, in conjunction with IOFs raids into a number of houses in the Al-Maslakh neighborhood, where breaking and smashing sounds were heard coming from inside the houses. A military bulldozer “D10” was also seen moving in the neighborhood heading towards Jabal Al-Nasr.

IOFs soldiers were as well deployed in the vicinity of Nour Shams cemetery, as soldiers stormed it and carried out combing and search operations inside it, and dispatched reinforcements of military vehicles, including a water tank, to Al-Manshiya neighborhood in the camp.

Last night, the IOFs stormed Tulkarem Camp, and fired flares in the Al-Matar neighborhood, as part of the ongoing escalation that affected all the neighborhoods of the camp, which have been evacuated due to forced displacement. It has also become completely devoid of life, after the complete destruction of its infrastructure as well as the sabotage, demolition and burning of dozens of its houses and facilities.

In a related context, IOFs vehicles roamed the streets and neighborhoods of the city at night in a provocative manner, specifically in the city market area and the vicinity of Martyr Thabit Thabit Square, Hospital Street and Nablus Street.

The IOF has been encircling a number of houses and residential buildings in Nablus Street area and the northern neighborhood of the city, turning them into military barracks, restricting citizens’ movement by setting up makeshift military checkpoints on Nablus Street and closing it with earth mounds in both directions.

The ongoing aggression on the city and its two camps resulted in the martyrdom of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom is eight months pregnant, in addition to the injury and arrest of dozens of others, and the forced displacement of more than 4,000 families from Toulkarm and Nour Shams camps, in addition to dozens of families from the northern neighborhood of the city after their homes were seized and turned into military barracks.

The aggression also caused widespread destruction to the infrastructure and property of citizens, including houses, shops and vehicles, which were completely and partially demolished, burned, vandalized, looted and stolen. The IOF destroyed 396 houses completely and 2,573 partially in Toulkarm and Nour Shams camps, in addition to closing their entrances and alleys with dirt mounds.

Illegal Israeli settlers release livestock into Palestinian crops in Masafir Yatta

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), April 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli colonists Saturday released their livestock onto Palestinian agricultural crops in several areas of Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local official.

Media activist Osama Makhamreh said that a group of Israeli colonists released their livestock near the homes of citizens in Maghayir Al-'Ubaid, Sha'b Al-Batm, and Khirbet Al-'Halawa in Masafir Yatta.

Colonists also released large numbers of their livestock onto citizens' agricultural crops in the al-Dirah area, located between Abu Shaban and Wadi al-Jawaya in Masafer Yatta.

Makhamira added that Masafir Yatta faces the most dangerous pastoral colonization, including the destruction of agricultural crops and the seizure of pastures. UN agency: Women in Gaza face life-threatening risks

NEW YORK, April 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) has warned that women in Gaza are facing a serious threat to their lives, health, and dignity, as the exhausted population continues to endure war and devastation without any respite.

The agency, in a report presented today, shared the results of its dialogue with several women in Gaza, highlighting the particular danger to pregnant women. Half of them are experiencing "high-risk pregnancies," and malnutrition is widespread among women and children.

UN Women noted that since March 18, the continued and intensified Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in the killing of hundreds of civilians, including women and children. Additionally, more than 142,000 people have been forced to flee their homes once again, with no safe place to take refuge.

Rights expert: International laws protecting children are mere words amid ongoing Israeli genocide

GAZA, April 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

An international rights expert stated today that international laws and agreements designed to protect children have become meaningless in the face of ongoing crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian children, particularly in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Saturday, 'Aayid Abu Qutaish, Director of the Accountability Program at Defense for Children International, said, "This year's Palestinian Children's Day comes amid unprecedented crimes and violations against Palestinian children. Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, the occupation has killed around 200 children in the West Bank, in addition to the crimes committed against children imprisoned in Israeli detention centers."

He added that these violations have affected every right of children recognized in international agreements, particularly the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which should provide care and protection for children in conflict zones or under military occupation.

Abu Qutaish emphasized, "In Gaza, there is no right left for children that hasn’t been stripped away, whether it is the right to life, education, health, or others."

He concluded that "international laws and agreements concerning the protection of children have become nothing but ink on paper, given the ongoing Israeli crimes against Palestinian children, especially in Gaza."

Abu Qutaish further pointed out that "these crimes occur in full view of the world, with no intervention to protect, turning international laws into mere words in the face of Israel’s criminal machine."

On Palestinian Children's Day: 350 children detained by Israeli occupation forces

RAMALLAH, April 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

Every year on April 5th, Palestinian Children's Day is observed, where Palestinian children have historically lived under extremely difficult conditions due to the occupation.

Since the early years of the occupation of Palestinian territories until today, the occupation has targeted children through various means and methods directly, without any consideration for agreements guaranteeing their rights. Through its practices against children in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, the occupation considers targeting children as one of its main objectives in its war against the Palestinian people.

Recently, with the outbreak of the comprehensive aggression by the occupation against the Palestinian people and the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, the occupation has killed more than 12,000 Palestinian children from Gaza in the past six months, according to the Ministry of Health. It's worth noting that this toll is not final as the aggression continues, with thousands of Palestinians are still missing under the rubble. Additionally, more than 100 child have been killed by occupation forces since the beginning of the year in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

The occupation is not content only with killing children in Palestinian territories but also systematically detaining and abusing them for decades. Israel is the only state in the world that systematically prosecutes between 500 and 700 Palestinian children annually in military courts, lacking basic rights of fair trial, according to the Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP).

For decades, the issue of child detention has been one of the most prominent policies pursued by the Israeli occupation, which has worked to establish systematic tools, legislation, and military orders to intensify targeting them through its policy of child detention. Today, the occupation detains more than 200 Palestinian children in its prisons, including Ofer, Magiddo, and Damon. After October 7th , the Israeli occupation forces have detained  more than 500 Palestinian children.

It's worth noting that the number of child prisoners before October 7th did not reach this number, which clearly indicates the occupation's use of punitive and oppressive policies against children during wars and uprisings. This was also evident after the 2015 uprising when the number of detained children in occupation prisons increased. This period is considered the toughest and harshest on prisoners in general and children in particular. Since the first day of the aggression, the occupation has implemented a series of retaliatory measures targeting various categories of prisoners in all prisons. It began by isolating prisoners from the outside world and separating them from each other inside the prisons.

Children detainees were not spared from the retaliatory methods used against prisoners, according to testimonies from recently released child prisoners. From the first day of their detention, the occupation worked to isolate them from other prisoners and sections.

Several testimonies reported that they were subjected to severe beatings during their time in prison. Statistics and documented testimonies from child detainees indicate that the majority of detained children have been subjected to one or more forms of physical and psychological torture through a series of systematic and illegal methods, violating international laws, norms, and conventions regarding children's rights.

As part of the occupation's policy of pursuing and continuously targeting released prisoners, the occupation re-arrested 15 previously released prisoners who were freed during the prisoner exchange deal last November.

The occupation later released two detainees while keeping 13 released prisoners under arrest, including 5 children. Furthermore, two of the released young prisoners are now subjected to arbitrary administrative detention.

These practices are part of the ongoing pursuit by the occupation authorities of released prisoners and the imposition of further suppression and control over the Palestinian people.

The occupation authorities use the policy of arbitrary administrative detention against Palestinians as a tool for suppression and control amidst escalating events and as a punitive measure.

Children are not exempt from this policy of arbitrary administrative detention. Currently, the occupation detains more than 3660 administrative detainees in its prisons, including 41 children, most of whom were arrested and had administrative detention orders issued against them after October 7th, without being presented with any charges. They are held under the pretext of having secret files that steal their childhoods in cells that deprive them of their right to education and rob them of their childhood innocence.

On Palestinian Children's Day, Addameer calls upon the international community and concerned international organizations to fulfill their responsibilities and take serious and genuine action to ensure the full protection of the rights of Palestinian children and to stop the crimes committed against them. Addameer urges pressure on the occupation authorities to immediately release the children detained in occupation prisons.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
