Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip, based on the reliable data reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry:

By October 28, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 53,020+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (43,020), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 10,000+). 

By October 28, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 101,110.

By October 27, 2024, 764 Palestinians who were killed, 6,519 who were injured, and 11,651, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

By October 27, 2024, according to initial reports, 38 Lebanese civilians were killed, 124 were injured, by the Israeli genocidal raids on Lebanon, in the past 24 hours. Thus, the Lebanese death toll, since October 8, 2023, has surged to 2,691 fatalities and more than 12,484 injuries.

Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

Five people, including three paramedics, killed in Israeli genocidal airstrikes on southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, October 27, 2024 (WAFA) -

Southern Lebanon has witnessed a substantial escalation in military activity, highlighted by a series of ongoing Israeli genocidalairstrikes that have led to numerous fatalities and injuries, as well as widespread destruction in residential and civilian areas.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has confirmed the killing of three paramedics who were performing a humanitarian mission in the town of Ain Baal.

In one of the most devastating attacks, an Israeli airstrike struck a medical center in the town of Ain Baal, killing three paramedics who were inside providing aid to civilians affected by earlier bombings. The strike resulted in the near total destruction of the medical facility, while civil defense teams are actively working to recover victims and tend to the injured.

Israeli aggression against Lebanon has resulted in extensive damage to infrastructure across various villages, with airstrikes hitting residential and agricultural areas, along with several public facilities. Local authorities have declared a state of emergency in multiple towns, and significant displacement has occurred in some regions as residents flee their homes in search of safety.

Dozens of Lebanese martyrs and injured by the Israeli genocidal air strikes on 'Harit Sayda, southern Lebanon

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 8 citizens and injuries to 25 others in an Israeli attack that targeted a building in 'Harit Sayda, in southern Lebanon on Sunday.

Lebanese media sources reported that two genocidal airstrikes hit a residential neighborhood in 'Harit Sayda, where more than 17,000 displaced individuals from southern Lebanese villages are taking refuge.

Prior to this massacre, 3 people were martyred after an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle west of Baalbek, and another massacre occurred in the town of Tuffa'ha, southern Lebanon, where 3 children and their parents were killed.

In Jadayda Marji'youn, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that an Israeli airstrike last night resulted in the martyrdom of 5 individuals and recorded injuries, while 3 more martyrs were reported in an airstrike on Zawtar Al-Sharqiya in Al-Nabatiya governorate.

Al-Mayadeen channel reported that a series of Israeli airstrikes hit the towns of Barasheet, 'Ainat, 'Haris, Majdel Silim, Shu'hour, Qalila, Burj Al-Shamali, Samia, Dair Qanun Ras Al-'Ain, Dair Kifa, Balat, Sha’itiyah, and the city of Al-Nabatiya in southern Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes also conducted airstrikes on the town of Qaqaiyat Al-Jisr in Al-Nabatiya district, leading to one martyr and several injuries. Additionally, the aircraft carried out a violent strike targeting the town of Samia, south of Soor (Tyre).

The aggression against the town of Al-Duwayr shortly after midnight resulted in the complete destruction of a citizen’s home in the Al-Rous neighborhood after it was targeted by Israeli warplanes, causing significant damage to surrounding homes.

The aerial assault on the town of Al-Nabatiya Al-Fawqa at midnight also led to major destruction in the Al-Sa'ha neighborhood near Al-'Husaini Club, which contains old heritage homes, completely destroying them and turning the targeted area into rubble and ruin.

According to official Lebanese data, the toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has risen to 2,653 martyrs and 12,360 injured.

Israeli warplanes strike Beirut’s southern suburb, 'Hizbullah calls Israelis to evacuate 25 settlements in northern Israel

Israeli occupation forces launched a series of genocidal airstrikes on the southern suburb of Beirut early Sunday, as part of the escalation in its ongoing war against Lebanon for the past 35 days.

Media sources reported that 8 Israeli airstrikes targeted the southern suburb of Beirut, with two strikes hitting the 'Hadath area. According to Al Jazeera TV, the airstrikes also targeted the vicinity of Baalbek city and the towns of Sharbin and the heights of the towns of Shamsar and 'Harbata in the Biqaa region of eastern Lebanon.

Prior to this, the Israeli army had called on residents of two areas in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital to evacuate their homes, claiming the presence of facilities and sites belonging to Hezbollah.

Six Lebanese citizens were killed and another was injured last night due to the bombardment of the town of Jadeeda Marji'youn in southern Lebanon. The National News Agency reported the deaths and injuries caused by two airstrikes on the town.

Earlier, Israeli aircraft targeted towns in southern Lebanon and bombed the areas around the towns of Shib'a and Kfar Shouba in the south with incendiary bombs. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against the country since October 8 last year had risen to 2,653 martyrs and 12,360 injuries. The ministry stated in a statement last night that the Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in the past 24 hours resulted in 19 martyrs and 108 injuries.

In response to the Israeli aggression, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, 'Hizbullah, called on residents of 25 settlements in northern occupied Palestine to evacuate immediately on Saturday night.

In its statement, 'Hizbullah said, “To all residents of the settlements mentioned in this statement, you are requested to evacuate immediately.” It clarified that the reason for this was the transformation of these settlements into a location for the deployment of enemy military forces attacking Lebanon.

'Hizbullah emphasized that, as a result, these settlements had become legitimate military targets for the air and missile forces of the Islamic Resistance. According to the statement, the settlements requested for evacuation include: Kiryat Shmona, Yesod HaMa’ala, Eilat Hashahar, Hatzor HaGelilit, Karmiel Ma’alot, Tzafit Aven, Manahim, Nahariya, Rosh Pina, Shamir Sha’al, Meron Kfarri, Abirim Dalton, Nof Zif, Katzin, Kfar Hanania, Manout, Bet HaAimik, Kfar Vradiem, Harashim, Beria, Kamat Tzvi, and Bar Yochai.

Casualties in Israeli raids on Beirut Southern Suburb, South, Biqaa'

Overnight Saturday, the Israeli occupation launched a series of violent raids aimed at the Southern Suburb of Beirut, as well as the South and the Biqaa' Valley, as part of its ongoing aggression against Lebanon.

Throughout the night and into the early hours of dawn, the Israeli occupation carried out a series of brutal and aggressive raids, specifically targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, alongside various areas in the South and the Biqaa' Valley.

Southern Suburb of Beirut

As part of the Israeli attack, warplanes targeted the Southern Suburb of Beirut with a series of airstrikes, striking near Burj Al-Barajna and 'Harit 'Huraik. Thick clouds of smoke filled the sky over the area as a result of the bombardment.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the occupation launched four raids on the al-Hadath area, east of the Southern Suburb. 

South Lebanon

In the South, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported an Israeli raid on the town of Dibbeen.

According to the National News Agency, six people lost their lives and one person was injured in two airstrikes on the town of Judayidet Marji'youn last night.

The occupation also conducted two airstrikes on the town of Al-Khiyam and targeted the outskirts of Al-Zurayriya, resulting in reported injuries.

Biqaa' Valley

In Biqaa', the Israeli occupation carried out a series of raids at dawn on Sunday, targeting the town of Shumaistar and its surrounding areas in eastern Lebanon. Additionally, at dawn, a raid was launched on the town of Bait Salibi in the Ba'albek district, eastern Lebanon.

The occupation also conducted raids on the town of Al-Sharbeen, located on the outskirts of Hirmil, as well as in Bodai, to the west of Baalbek.

The attacks across have resulted in massacres, the destruction of buildings and residential areas, and the targeting of economic and vital infrastructure, all part of a systematic policy of destruction.

Furthermore, rescue and Civil Defense teams are facing direct assaults, undermining their efforts to provide critical aid and assistance to those in need.

Climbing death toll 

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Saturday (October 26, 2024) that the death toll of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has risen to 2,653 martyrs, with 12,360 people injured.

In its latest update, the Ministry reported that on Friday alone, 19 Lebanese were martyred and 108 wounded as a result of the attacks. This toll includes 10 martyrs and 56 injuries in southern Lebanon, seven martyrs and 46 injuries in Nabatieh, and two martyrs with six injuries in the Biqaa' region.

On Saturday, a paramedic was martyred, and five others were injured after an airstrike targeted the Civil Defense Center operated by the Islamic Health Authority in Al-Bazouriya, southern Lebanon. According to the Ministry, this raises the total number of martyred paramedics since the beginning of the aggression to 164, with 275 others wounded.

The Ministry reiterated its condemnation of the targeting of medical centers and health personnel, calling upon the international community to put an end to these relentless Israeli attacks on humanitarian facilities.

Martyrs, wounded in ongoing Israeli aggression on South Lebanon, Biqaa'

Israeli occupation aircraft continue to conduct airstrikes on various villages in the Biqaa' Valley and southern Lebanon, resulting in numerous martyrs and dozens of injuries.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Monday that the updated toll from a raid on a building in the Ramel neighborhood of Soor (Tyre), southern Lebanon, has tragically reached seven martyrs and 17 wounded.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the region, Civil Defense and Red Cross teams are actively engaged in removing rubble as they search for any missing persons in the devastated building.

The airstrikes on the Saraya neighborhood in Nabatieh also marked a tragic escalation in the ongoing war, resulting in one martyr and three injured, with the attack destroying homes, residential buildings, and shops.

Furthermore, the Israeli air force intensified its attacks against southern Lebanon, executing multiple raids between Kfar Tibnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa, as well as targeting Arnoun and Yahmar al-Shaqif. 

In an overnight raid on Ain Baal, seven civilians were martyred and 24 others injured, including a nurse and three paramedics. 

As rescue efforts continue, Civil Defense and medical aid teams are tirelessly searching for survivors under the rubble, with several people reported missing. Notably, the targeted building was affiliated with the Civil Defense of the Islamic Message Scouts Association and the Message Medical Ambulance Association.

The total number of martyred paramedics since the beginning of the aggression has thus risen to 168 martyrs, and the number of wounded has reached 275.

Two other paramedics killed

In a tragic escalation, the Israeli military targeted a building in Burj al-Shamali, resulting in the martyrdom of five individuals, including two paramedics from the Islamic Health Authority. This incident reflects the increasing toll on medical personnel and the civilian population amidst the ongoing war. 

This morning, Israeli artillery targeted several towns, including Aita al-Shaab, Ramyah, al-Dhayrah, al-Bustan, Aitaroun, and Kawnin, firing multiple heavy shells. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, although the attacks resulted in significant material damage to property and infrastructure. 

On Monday at dawn, the Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the number of martyrs from the aggression that targeted Haret Saida in Sidon has risen to nine martyrs and 38 wounded.

The Israeli occupation conducted a raid on Baalbek on Sunday, targeting a house in the Dahr al-Souwwaneh area on the outskirts of Shmistar. The attack destroyed the house, the death of its owner, and injuries to three children.

In the latest update on the impact of Israeli aggression on Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll has risen to 2,672, with 12,468 individuals injured, as of last Saturday evening. These figures remain subject to change.

The Israeli occupation continues to target southern Lebanon and the Biqaa' Valley, intensifying airstrikes on the city of Tyre, where seven people were killed and at least 17 others were injured.

On October 28, 2024, 2,710 civilians were martyred and 12,592 were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

Yesterday (October 27, 2024), 38 were killed and 124 others were injured, according to the Ministry's daily toll update.

Today, the Israeli occupation continued to target southern Lebanese areas and the Beqaa Valley, intensifying air raids on the city of Tyre, where seven people were killed and at least 17 others were injured in the Raml neighborhood, as reported by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

While the Israeli airstrikes focused on Tyre, other southern towns, including Burghliyeh, Qlaileh, Beit al-Seyyed, Ramadiyeh, Sh'aytieh, Zebqin, Jbal al-Butm, and Jabal Balat, were also bombarded. It was also reported that a bulldozer was struck in Burj Qalaway.

Later, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported that three members of the civil defense affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority were martyred in the Israeli raid on the town of Ramadiyeh.

Additionally, Israeli occupation forces attacked the towns of Arab Salim and Arnoun, Ali al-Taher hill in Nabatieh, areas near Qalaat al-Shaqif facing Khardali, and the area between Kafr Tibnit and Upper Nabatieh. Artillery shelling hit the outskirts of Kfar Kila, and Israeli jets launched an attack on Deir Siryan.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the Israeli artillery has been targeting the outskirts of Kfar Chouba and Halta.

Israeli aggression of Beqaa kills several

In the Beqaa, an Israeli occupation airstrike on Halaniya resulted in two deaths and seven injuries, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent, who assessed the extensive destruction.

In Shmestar, west of Baalbek, another person was killed, and three others were injured following an Israeli air raid on the town.

An Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in Tarayya, west of Baalbek, while two additional airstrikes hit al-Qseir and Mashghara.

At least 6 were martyred in a new massacre in the town of Bouday, west of Baalbek district.

In Bourj al-Barajneh, Beirut’s Southern Suburb, specifically on Hatoum Street, two floors of a previously targeted building collapsed.

Moreover, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, two Israeli airstrikes target the mountains of Younin and the town of al-Ram in the northern Baalbek district, resulting in several casualties.

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 389th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

According to media sources, the Israeli army attacked a group of citizens near Al-Fazab market in Khan Younus, south of Gaza, killing and injuring a number of them.

Two martyrs and four wounded civilians, including a girl child, were evacuated to Al-'Awda Hospital in central Gaza after an Israel drone opened fire at them in the west of Al-Nusayrat refugee camp.

The same hospital also received a number of injured citizens following an Israeli military attack in the north of Al-Nusayrat refugee camp.

Three people, including two children, were injured in an Israeli attack on Al-Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood in Gaza City.

A child was killed and his mother was injured in an Israeli artillery attack in Al-Mawasi of Khan Younus, south of Gaza.

The Israeli army also targeted a group of citizens in Al-Saftawi area in the north of Gaza City, killing one person and injuring others.

Last night, at least 20 people were martyred following airstrikes on several houses in Jabalya refugee camp, north of Gaza.

An Israeli drone also attacked a number of citizens in A'hmed Fikri street in Jabalya, injuring a number of them.

Another Israeli attack on a house sheltering displaced civilians in Bait Lahya, north of Gaza, claimed the lives of at least 10 people and injured others.

One civilian was martyred and others were injured in an Israeli attack on Sala'huddeen School, which shelters displaced families, in Gaza City.

Gaza Civil Defense: 100,000 trapped in northern Gaza

Gaza Civil Defense Spokesman Ma'hmoud Basal said that more than 100,000 Palestinians in the areas of Jabalya, Bait 'Hanoun and Bait Lahya are subjected to Israeli siege and bombardment.

The Israeli occupation army is killing anyone who tries to provide aid to the people of the northern Gaza Strip, Basal said, adding that many people’s fate remain unknown till today as the occupation is practicing a policy of ethnic cleansing in the northern Gaza Strip.

Basal pointed out that for 22 days, not a drop of water or bread has entered the northern Gaza Strip, slamming the international inaction towards what’s happening in northern Gaza.

Over the past three weeks, Israel has besieged the northern Gaza, killing at least 820 people and blocking off any water, food or humanitarian aid while preventing people from entering or exiting.

Israeli occupation forces have stormed hospitals and medical facilities in the north, with displacement shelters also bombarded.

Dozens of civilians, including the elderly and children, were kidnapped and forced to strip naked by Israeli forces in the Jabalya refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The occupation’s campaign of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in northern Gaza has been ongoing for the past 23 consecutive days. Hundreds of civilians have been killed since then, with dozens trapped beneath the rubble and unable to be reached by rescue teams.

Currently, over 100,000 residents in Jabalya, Bait 'Hanoun and Bait Lahya are facing a relentless blockade and ongoing shelling by Israeli forces, with forces targeting everyone attempting to provide assistance or reach those in need.

Northern Gaza: Dozens dead and injured in Israeli massacre in Bait Lahya

Dozens of Palestinian civilians were killed and injured on Saturday night in a new Israeli massacre in Bait Lahya City, north of the Gaza Strip.

According to journalists in Gaza, over 30 citizens, including women and children, were martyred and many others were wounded by an Israeli genocidal air strike on a residential block composed of at least five houses near the western roundabout in Bait Lahya.

Earlier, Israeli drones bombed an area near Al-Fakhoura School, in Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza, killing two citizens, while helicopters opened machinegun fire at the southern areas of northern Gaza.

The Israeli occupation soldiers also kidnapped Dr. Mu'hammed 'Obaid, head of the Department of Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at Al-'Awda Hospital in Tel Al-Za'tar, in Jabalya, during his presence at Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in Bait Lahya.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces withdrew from the besieged Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza, leaving a trail of destruction in the medical facility and in the area while abducting staff and other civilians.

In southern Gaza, several casualties, including martyrs, were reported by an Israeli genocidal attack on Al-Shahayda area, north of 'Abasan Al-Kabeera town, east of Khan Younus.

In a brief statement, the governorate of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) said that theIsraeli  occupation forces opened fire at the man's vehicle earlier today, after he allegedly attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack on the main road connecting 'Hizma and 'Anata, critically injuring him.

The man, who was identified as Sami al-'Aamoudi, of the Shu'fat refugee camp, died of his serious injuries hours later.

IOFs storm West Bank areas, kidnaps several Palestinians

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night and at dawn Sunday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes with local youths in some areas.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped Talib Abdul-Majeed, who works as a school principal in Ramallah, and his son Abdul-Ra'hman from their home.

The IOF also kidnaped a citizen at the Container checkpoint in the northeast of Bait La'm (Bethlehem).

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Israeli occupation soldiers stormed some neighborhoods of the city, ransacked a house belonging to the family of prisoner Dhirar Abu Munshar and assaulted members of his family.

The IOFs also stormed at dawn the house of senior 'Hamas official Abdul-Khaliq Al-Natsha in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City and wreaked havoc on its furniture. No kidnappings have been reportedly made during the raid.

Four citizens were kidnapped from their homes during an IOFs raid on Idhna town, west of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

In Jineen, a young man was taken prisoner following an IOFs raid on his house in 'Attara village.

Dawn clashes reportedly took place between local youths and Israeli forces in Silat Al-Dthahir town, south of Jineen. IOFs vehicles were attacked with explosive devices during the events.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed Jaba' town in southern Jineen and patrolled its streets. No kidnappings have been reported.

In Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), Israeli occupation regime police forces raided a house in Qalandya refugee camp and destroyed its entrance.

Israeli occupation forces close entrances to Nablus-area village, impose curfew on residents

 Israeli occupation forces sealed off the village of Madama, located south of Nablus on Sunday night, imposing a curfew on its residents.

'Abdullah Ziyada, the head of the Madama Village Council, confirmed that the occupation forces blocked the village's entrances and prevented residents' movement.

The village has been subjected to repeated incursions and closures of its entrances by the occupation forces in recent days.

In a related development, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers gathered at the bypass road near the bridge connecting Madama and Burin areas and attacked the vehicles of Palestinian residents.

The Israeli occupation forces and colonist have escalated their attacks on olive harvesters in Bethlehem and other provinces.

Since the beginning of the olive harvest season, Palestinian farmers have been subjected to almost daily attacks by colonists, involving physical assaults, property destruction, the forcible expulsion of farmers at gunpoint, the release of livestock onto their land and crop theft.

The olive harvest season is crucial for thousands of Palestinian families, many of whom rely on it for their livelihood.

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers Sunday set up a tent near the homes of the Palestinian citizens, in the Saddat Al-Tha'la area of Masafir Yatta to the south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), in an apparent prelude to taking over the land, according to a local activist.

Activist Osama MaKhamra, a local anti-settler-colonialism activist, reported that colonists set up a tent close to Palestinian citizens’ homes in the Saddat Al-Tha'la area and raised the occupation flags on citizens’ land.

The illegal Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property in the said area, including attacks against olive harvesters and shepherds, seeking to force them out of their lands for the benefit of colonial expansion.

Although common, the settler attacks and violence against Palestinians have significantly escalated since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, driven by many Israeli officials' statements inciting violence and hatred.

The widespread violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians, including the destruction of homes and property, has drawn significant international condemnation.

UN official: All Palestinians under Israeli siege in north Gaza at risk of death

A senior UN humanitarian official has said that the whole population of north Gaza, currently trapped by Israeli occupation forces under heavy bombardment, is at risk of death.

“The entire population of northern Gaza is at risk of death. Israeli forces cannot be allowed to continue what they are doing in besieged northern Gaza,” the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator Joyce Msuya said in a statement.

“Families have been separated and men and boys are being taken away by the truckload” Msuya continued.

“Shelters have been emptied and burned down,” she added.

For his part, UN Secretary-General António Guterres has expressed shock at the “harrowing levels of death, injury and destruction” in north Gaza amid an ongoing intense Israeli military operation.

“The plight of Palestinian civilians trapped in North Gaza is unbearable,” read a statement from the UN chief’s Spokesperson.

Guterres warned that the “widespread devastation and deprivation” caused by Israel’s military operations – particularly around Jabalya, Bait Lahya and Bait 'Hanoun – have made life “untenable” for the Palestinian population there.

Despite repeated efforts to deliver essential humanitarian supplies, including food, medicine, and shelter, access continues to be denied by Israeli authorities, with few exceptions, putting countless lives in jeopardy, the statement added.

UN Secretary-General: Plight of Palestinian civilians trapped in northern Gaza is unbearable

 The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, stated that the plight of Palestinian civilians trapped in northern Gaza is unbearable due to the ongoing genocide being committed by Israel.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, on Sunday, Guterres expressed his shock at the horrific levels of killing, injuries and destruction in northern Gaza.

He stressed that ongoing attempts to provide vital humanitarian supplies for survival, including food, medicine and shelter are still being blocked by the Israeli authorities, with only a handful of exceptions, putting countless lives at risk.

He stated that delaying the final phase of the polio vaccination campaign in northern Gaza puts the lives of thousands of children at risk.

“The devastation and deprivation resulting from Israel’s military operations in North Gaza are making the conditions of life untenable for the Palestinian population there,” he said.

He described the situation of Palestinian civilians trapped in northern Gaza as "unbearable," reiterating his call for an immediate ceasefire.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemned the recent Israeli massacre of several journalists in the line of duty at the Asma School in the Al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp west of Gaza City. It condemned the Israeli occupation forces deliberate targeting of the three journalists while striving to convey the truth.

The three journalists were identified as Sa’eed Radhwan, head of the digital media department at the Al-Aqsa satellite channel, 'Hamza Abu Silmiya, a journalist at the Snd News Agency, and 'Haneen Baroud, a media worker and journalist at the Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Foundation.

It asserted its commitment to pursuing legal action against those responsible for these brutal crimes against journalists, stressing that it will not falter to utilize all available legal measures to hold accountable war criminals who intentionally target the voice of truth.

The Syndicate urged the international community and relevant organizations to take a decisive and effective stance against the heinous crimes targeting Palestinian journalists, who work in the most difficult circumstances and risk their lives to convey the suffering of their people to the world.

Northern Gaza: 1,000 martyrs in 23 days; 4 journalists killed today

Four Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli genocidal airstrike on a school in western Gaza City on Sunday. The strike was the second targeting the Asma School in Al-Shati refugee camp. The school, run by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), shelters displaced families and had previously been bombed last week. Medical and media sources reported that eight citizens were killed including four journalists.

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) condemned, in the strongest terms, the targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation army, holding it fully responsible for committing this heinous crime. In a press statement, the PGMO called on the international community and relevant organizations to deter the occupation and pursue it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, urging for pressure to stop the genocide and the killing of Palestinian journalists. With the death of the four journalists, the toll of journalist martyrs since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza has risen to 181.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 1,000 citizens have been martyred in northern Gaza over the past 23 days, noting that the fate of 30 medical personnel detained from Kamal 'Udwan Hospital is unknown. The ministry’s spokesperson Khaleel Al-Diqran held the occupation army responsible for the lives of the medical teams detained from Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, indicating that the occupation has rendered the health system in the north non-functional to kill as many citizens as possible. Al-Diqran emphasized in media statements that the situation in besieged northern Gaza is extremely difficult, reiterating his plea for the world to intervene immediately to save the citizens in the north before it is too late.

Health authorities announced on Saturday that the occupation army had detained all male medical staff from Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, along with several injured and sick patients, calling on all international and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to protect patients and medical personnel. The World Health Organization confirmed today that Kamal Adwan Hospital, “the last functioning hospital in northern Gaza,” was attacked, and 44 male staff members were detained, leaving only one female employee, the hospital director, and one doctor to care for about 200 patients in urgent need of treatment.

WHO said that the entire health system in Gaza has been under attack for over a year, emphasizing the need to protect hospitals from conflicts at all times, reiterating that any attack on healthcare facilities constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. On October 5, 2024, the occupation army launched a wide and unprecedented assault on the Jabalya refugee camp and extensive areas in northern Gaza, before storming them the next day under the pretext of preventing resistance from regaining strength in the region, amid fears of forced displacement.

Winter in Gaza exacerbates the plight of the displaced, heralding yet another season of death and suffering

As winter approaches, hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals in the Gaza Strip are preparing to face another season of hardship. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate daily due to the ongoing blockade and relentless violence, leaving the most vulnerable populations in dire straits.

Many displaced families were forced to abandon their homes after they were destroyed in the continuous airstrikes, which have resulted in immense destruction and a staggering number of casualties. They sought refuge in temporary tents, but these makeshift shelters are now worn out, vulnerable and at risk of collapse under the weight of impending rainfall.

Among those enduring hardships in the displacement camps are infants, children, pregnant women, the injured, the sick, and the elderly. These individuals face the grim realities of life in makeshift tents scattered across the Strip, anxiously concerned by another season of cold and fear. Their situation is made worse by the lack of even the most basic necessities for survival, a reality compounded by the troubling silence of the international community.

Mohammad Al-Jarousha, who fled with his family from northern Gaza to the south, offers a glimpse into the daily struggles they face while living in a small tent. He explained: “Since our house was destroyed, we haven't found a place to call home. We fled to Rafah in southern Gaza, hoping this tent would shelter us. However, it has been worn out from constant use. Still, there are no alternatives.”

Al-Jarousha shared: “The tents can’t withstand much more; every night, the winds threaten our fragile shelter, and the blockade stops any aid that might ease our suffering.“ He appealed to world leaders to intervene and end their hardship, or at the very least to ensure the entry of essential humanitarian aid.

In a similar situation, Ameen Al-Ra'i, head of another displaced family facing the same hardships, shared: “Last winter was brutal; heavy rains completely flooded our tents, and we endured some of the hardest days of our lives. The cold was severe, leaving us shivering. We had no electricity, no heat and no hope.”

Samar Mahmoud, a volunteer doctor working in the refugee camps, underscored the severity of the health crisis within the tents: “Rainwater has flooded the tents, making them uninhabitable, and most residents have lost their belongings. People are enduring extremely harsh conditions that put their lives and health at risk. Infants and the elderly are particularly vulnerable in these challenging circumstances.”

Mahmoud cautions that the absence of healthcare and critical shortages of medicine could result in fatalities among children and the elderly, particularly with the dire nutritional conditions. She describes the situation as nothing less than a humanitarian catastrophe in urgent need of intervention.

The Gaza Strip has been subjected to a stringent blockade by the Israeli occupation since 2007, resulting in crumbling infrastructure and escalating rates of unemployment and poverty. Throughout the years, multiple military operations and onslaughts have been carried out against the strip, with the most recent taking place in October 2023, which involved heavy airstrikes leading to widespread devastation. Thousands of families have been displaced, and entire neighborhoods have been left in ruins, rendering them uninhabitable.

In a United Nations report, Secretary-General António Guterres expressed his shock at the horrific levels of killing, injuries and destruction in northern Gaza, describing the situation of Palestinian civilians trapped there as "unbearable.”

He added that Israel's ongoing aggression is worsening the plight of trapped civilians, leaving them homeless and subjected to constant bombardment, as the international community watches without taking any measures to halt the tragedy.

As winter approaches, displaced individuals confront a challenging reality in their tents, which provide minimal protection.

The people of Gaza are in search of warmth and shelter for protection, as well as an international community to champion their rights. Yet, to this day, they have received only the world’s silence. This indifference to their suffering only intensifies their despair, transforming winter into yet another season of death and hardship.

PPS: Detainees in Israeli Etzion prison live in difficult living, health, and psychological conditions

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) reported that prisoners held in the Israeli detention center of Etzion are living under difficult living and health conditions.

The Society said that its lawyer visited the detention center last week, noting that 115 prisoners are being held at Etzion under these difficult circumstances due to ongoing retaliatory policies that have persisted for over a year.

It further explained that the prisoners are subjected to daily treatment that is unethical and inhumane, facing beatings and insults without any justification, and that the soldiers treat them with hatred and racism.

The PPS also mentioned, “Rooms are stormed in a brutal and violent manner, and they are forced to sit in a squatting position. There is a significant focus on humiliating them and targeting their psyches.” It elaborated that all forms of punishment are still ongoing.

According to the latest statistics published by the PPS, the number of Palestinian detainees in occupation prisons since October 7, 2023, has surged to about 11,400 from various Palestinian provinces, not including detainees from the Gaza Strip, who the occupation classifies as “unlawful combatants.”

The Etzion detention center, located between the Bethlehem and al-Khalil governorates, is situated on a mountain slope where the cold is intense. It is close to a training center for the occupation army and consists of a single section containing eight rooms, with approximately 15 prisoners in each room. The rooms and the yard are monitored by dozens of surveillance cameras.

ICRC & WHO: The situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic

The International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Health Organization have warned of the deteriorating health and humanitarian situation in northern Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, which has led to the suspension of civil defense and ambulance services, in addition to the prevention of food, water, and medicine from entering the area.

For the 23rd consecutive day, the Israeli occupying army continues its intense air and artillery bombardment and gunfire in northern Gaza, particularly in the Jabalia refugee camp and the town of Beit Lahiya, continuing what is described as a war of extermination against the region, visible to the world.

Stephanie Eller, Deputy Head of the Red Cross Mission in Gaza, described the situation in northern Gaza as “extremely tragic,” stating that a safe passage must be provided for those wishing to leave their locations. She added in a statement that “the ongoing evacuation orders and continuous restrictions on the entry of essential supplies leave the remaining civilian population in northern Gaza in horrific conditions.” She emphasized that the occupying army’s request to evacuate hospitals creates a potential gap in medical services for a large number of remaining civilians.

Humanitarian catastrophe For his part, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the situation in northern Gaza as “catastrophic,” noting a “serious shortage of medical supplies, compounded by extremely limited access to these supplies, denying people vital treatments.”

He confirmed that the occupying army attacked Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last functioning hospital in northern Gaza, and detained 44 male staff members, leaving only one female staff member, the hospital director, and one doctor to care for about 200 patients in urgent need of treatment. He added that “information about hospitals and medical supplies that have been damaged or destroyed during the siege is regrettable.”

Tedros said that “the entire health system in Gaza has been under attack for more than a year,” stressing that “hospitals must be protected from conflict at all times,” and reiterating that any attack on healthcare facilities constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.

He considered that the only way to save what remains of the collapsing health system in Gaza is an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.
