While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

'Hizbullah announces martyrdom of Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen

By Al-Mayadeen English

October 23, 2024, at 17:56 Beirut local time

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announces the martyrdom of 'Hizbullah Executive Council chief Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces.

'Hizbullah announced the martyrdom of Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen, the head of the Executive Council of the Resistance movement, in an Israeli airstrike that took place days ago. Safieddine, a key figure in the Lebanese resistance movement, was killed alongside several of his fellow fighters, in what the Resistance condemned as a "criminal and aggressive Zionist airstrike."

In a heartfelt statement, 'Hizbullah paid tribute to Safieddine, describing him as a "great leader and esteemed martyr on the path to Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)." The statement emphasized that he was martyred content and patient, accepting his fate as a martyr.

Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen's death is a significant loss for 'Hizbullah, with the latter comparing his relationship with martyred 'Hizbullah Secretary-General Al-Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah to that of Al-'Abbas and Imam Al-'Husain. Al-'Abbas was Imam 'Husain's stepbrother, and he was martyred while attempting to procure water during what is known as the battle of Karbala, when the entire family of Imam Al-Husain was under siege by the army of Yazeed Bin Mu'awiyah, who was waging an unjust war against them that did not discriminate between child and soldier, much like the Israelis are doing.

Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen was praised as Al-Sayyid Nasrullah's loyal brother, supporter, and the bearer of his banner. "He was his brother, his right hand, his trusted companion in hardships, and his trustee in times of difficulty," the statement read, likening him to the revered figures of early Islamic history who defended their faith.

Throughout his life, Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen dedicated his efforts to serving 'Hizbullah, the Islamic Resistance, and its community. For many years, he led the Executive Council with responsibility and expertise, overseeing the organization's institutions and operational units across various fields. He remained close to the fighters on the ground and maintained a deep connection with the public, especially the families of martyrs, the statement added. His dedication was honored with his martyrdom, "joining the luminous convoy of the martyrs of Karbala."

Hezbollah extended its condolences to Imam Mahdi, Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and the global Islamic religious seminaries, as well as to Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen's family. The group also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the path of resistance, vowing to achieve freedom and victory.

The statement translated in full:

We eulogize to the nation of martyrs and fighters, the nation of resistance and victory, a great leader and an esteemed martyr on the path to al-Quds, the head of 'Hizbullah’s Executive Council, the honorable scholar Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen, may God bless his soul. He departed to his Lord, alongside the finest of his fellow fighters, content and accepted, patient and devoted, in a criminal and aggressive Zionist airstrike.

Sayyed Hashem joined his brother, our dearest and most revered martyr, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He was indeed a true brother to him, standing by his side as Al-Abbas stood by Imam Hussein, peace be upon them. He was his brother, his support, the bearer of his banner, the source of his trust, and his reliance in times of hardship. He followed the path of those who fought in the Battle of Badr, defending God's religion, pious, righteous, a leader, a strategist, a commander, and a martyr.

Al-Sayyid Hashim Safiyuddeen dedicated his life to the service of Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance, and its community. For many years, he responsibly and skillfully managed the Executive Council, its various institutions, and its operational units in all fields, staying close to the fighters and deeply connected to the public. He loved the families of the martyrs until God honored him with martyrdom, joining the luminous convoy of the martyrs of Karbala.

We offer our condolences to the Awaited Imam, may God hasten his reappearance, to the esteemed Leader of the Muslims, may God protect him, to the blessed religious seminaries across the Islamic world, to his fellow fighters in the Islamic Resistance, and to his honorable, patient, and devoted family. We ask God to grant them beautiful patience and the reward of this life and the hereafter.

We pledge to our great martyr and his fellow martyrs to continue on the path of resistance and jihad until we achieve its goals of freedom and victory.

The Israeli occupation forces commit six massacres in Gaza over the past 24 hours

GAZA, October 23, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation army committed six massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in the killing of 74 civilians and the injury of 130 others, according to medical sources.

The number of people killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, has surged to 42,792, the majority of whom are children and women. Some 100,412 others have been wounded.

Thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams are facing difficulties in reaching them due to the continued Israeli attacks, the massive amount of debris and the shortage of fuel and heavy equipment.

Casualty data in Gaza are incomplete due to the intensive Israeli aggression, the repeated and complete interruption of communication and internet services, lack of fuel and devastated infrastructure, which render it difficult to document figures.

GAZA, (PIC)

Basal pointed out that the Israeli army deliberately destroyed a large residential block inJabalya and started now to focus on the bombing of shelter centers in Beit Lahia, which is adjacent to Jabalya refugee refugee camp.

“What is happening in Jabalya refugee camp is unprecedented. The Indonesian Hospital is closed and the Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda Hospitals are under siege, where anyone trying to enter or leave is targeted,” the civil defense spokesman said.

11-year-old Palestinian boy killed by Israeli gunfire in Nablus

Tuesday 22-October-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

A Palestinian boy was killed by Israeli gunfire on Tuesday evening after the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) violently stormed Nablus, northern West Bank.

'Abdullah Jamal 'Hawash, 11, succumbed to critical injuries sustained by IOFs gunfire, a Palestinian Health Ministry statement said.

Medical sources confirmed that the child was shot in the chest and arrived at the “Rafeedya Governmental Hospital” in a critical situation.

Over the past few years, the IOFs have conducted regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated with the beginning of the war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.

At least 760 Palestinians have since been killed, including 166 children, and over 6,250 others injured by IOFs gunfire in the occupied Palestinian territory, according to the Health Ministry.

The escalation follows a landmark opinion last July by the International Court of Justice that declared Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinian land “illegal” and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

IOFs kidnap several Palestinians during West Bank raids

Wednesday 23-October-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed last night and on Wednesday morning different areas of the West Bank and kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens, amid clashes with local youths.

According to local sources, a Palestinian teenager was injured in his leg by gunfire during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in 'Hal'houl town, north of al-Khalil.

In Nablus, Israeli occupation forces and illegal extremist settlers stormed the eastern area of Nablus City and swarmed Joseph’s Tomb and the area around it.

Violent clashes broke out between local young men and Israeli occupation forces in the eastern area of Nablus.

Another group of the illegal Israeli settlers escorted by Israeli occupation soldiers spread in the ancient site of Birnat on Mount E'bal in Nablus and embarked on performing Talmudic rituals.

The settlers claim that there was an altar on Mount E'bal in an attempt to seize the area.

Two months ago, the IOFs closed a road used by Palestinian citizens near Mount E'bal with mounds of dirt and rocks in order to secure the presence of settlers in the area.

In Toubas, the IOFs kidnapped at dawn a young man from his home in Aqaba town.

In Jerusalem, Israeli police forces kidnapped a young man from Al-'Eisawiya district, amid restrictions on the movement of Palestinian vehicles at the checkpoints of Jaba' and 'Hizma.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the IOFs closed the main entrance of Al-Manshiya village with concrete blocks and mounds of dirt, which will lead to movement restrictions in nearby areas.

The Israeli occupation forces also kidnapped a young man from Jiljilyya village in Ramallah and three other citizens during raids in Qalqilya.

In Salfeet, the IOFs assaulted a citizen during raids on homes in A-Zawiya town.

Hundreds of the illegal extremist Jewish settlers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) on Wednesday, to mark the seventh day of the Sukkot holiday in its courtyards.

According to local sources, hundreds of the illegal Israeli settlers defiled Al-Aqsa Mosque in different groups under police escort in the morning hours.

A large number of the settlers also rallied in Al-Aqsa Mosque’s Al-Buraq Wall area while carrying Israeli flags and performing different Jewish prayers.

Since the one-week Sukkot holiday started last Thursday, the Israeli police have closed many roads and neighborhoods in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), intensified the presence of its forces inside and around the city, banished several Palestinians from Al-Aqsa Mosque, and summoned others for interrogation.

Illegal Israeli settlers demolish Palestinian community near Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

WAFA Archive

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), October 23, 2024 (WAFA) -

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers destroyed on Wednesday Palestinian-owned residential structures in the Jourat Al-Khail community east of the town of Sa'ir near Hebron. This destruction included the complete demolition of over 15 residential structures and the confiscation of their belongings.

Local resident, A'hmed Shallalda told WAFA that families were taken by surprise by the demolition, which likely occurred in the past two days. Residents only learned of the destruction when several community members managed to reach the area to check on their abandoned homes and possessions, which had been left behind two days ago due to increasing threats by colonists.

The illegal Israeli settlers also seized all household items, including clothes, furniture, windows and doors. More than 20 costly solar energy units were also seized and destroyed.

Fifteen families were forcibly displaced from the area due to threats by armed colonial groups. These illegal Israeli settler gangs have carried out ongoing assaults, resulting in widespread property destruction and the theft of a substantial number of sheep.

At the end of last month, dozens of the illegal settlers dressed in military attire stole 300 sheep, and physically assaulted local residents, confiscated their cell phones and issued death threats against them.

This incident marks the second demolition of Jourat Al-Khail community, which was first destroyed in 2016. In October of last year, colonists also completely demolished the Al-Qanoub community, east of Sa’eer, forcing five families to evacuate their homes.

'Hamas calls for taking immediate action to stop forced displacement, ethnic cleansing in northern Gaza

Tuesday 22-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Resistance Movement called on international community to take immediate action to stop the Israeli occupation crimes of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing in addition to its daily massacres carried out in the northern Gaza Strip.

'Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army continues its attempts to implement the so-called “General’s Plan” in northern Gaza, besieging schools and hospitals, committing massacres against the trapped, displaced citizens, and carrying out an enforced displacement operation before the eyes of the whole world.

'Hamas stressed that what Jabalya, its refugee camp, the Bait Lahya project, and the general governorate of North Gaza are witnessing is a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions and would not have occurred without the silence of the international community and the complicity of the US administration.

'Hamas called on the free people around the world to move and pressure the Israeli occupation authorities, the US and Western countries to stop the crime of genocide being committed in the Gaza Strip.

Lazzarini: The smell of death is everywhere in northern Gaza

Wednesday 23-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) has said, “the smell of death is everywhere in northern Gaza, as bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble due to the ongoing Israeli aggression for three weeks.”

Lazzarini added in a statement on Tuesday, “Missions to clear the bodies or provide humanitarian assistance are denied.”

“In northern Gaza, people are waiting for death, as it has become an inevitable fate. They feel they are deserted, expecting death in every second,” he elaborated.

Lazzarini pointed out that UNRWA staff cannot find food, water, or medicine, and “UNRWA staff remained in the north exerting every possible effort to aid the displaced.”

The Israeli occupation army has been on the offensive in the northern Gaza Strip for 19 days, where it has been launching relentless attacks on areas of Bait 'Hanoun, Bait Lahya and Jabalya, amid a suffocating siege on all northern areas of the Gaza Strip.

Borrell: International observers and media must be granted access to northern Gaza

Tuesday 22-October-2024

BRUSSELS, (PIC)

The EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, on Tuesday called for allowing international observers and media’s access to northern Gaza.

Borrell also condemned Israel’s recent attack on the UN agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in northern Gaza, calling for the protection of international media members and observers.

“I condemn the heavy shelling and destruction of UNRWA facilities,” said Josep Borrell on X.

Describing the reports from northern Gaza as “horrifying,” he underlined, “The human suffering from man-made famine and forced displacement cannot be justified.”

Borrell expressed his support for an urgent truce to permit humanitarian aid and safe passage for internally displaced people.

“International observers and media must be granted access,” he concluded.

PGMO: IOFs blocked entry of 250,000 aid trucks into Gaza

Tuesday 22-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) said Israeli occupation forces (IOF) had prevented the entry of more than a quarter of a million aid trucks and goods into Gaza Strip since the start of the genocidal war on October 7 last year.

It noted that the IOFs have reinforced its starvation policy against the people of Gaza, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, and in Jabalya in particular.

The PGMO underscored, in a statement on Tuesday, that the restrictions on the entry of aid trucks comes as part of Israel’s strategy of reinforcing the starvation policy and using it as a weapon of war against civilians and children, especially by preventing the entry of food, baby milk and nutritional supplements, which is a crime against humanity.

The PGMO condemned the silence of the international community regarding this crime, warning that it would inflict a deep humanitarian crisis for thousands of Palestinians.

The Office held Israel, the US administration, the UK, Germany, France, and those countries involved in the genocide, fully responsible for the ongoing crime of starvation against civilians and children in Gaza.

Ireland intends to independently impose economic sanctions on Israel

Tuesday 22-October-2024

DUBLIN, (PIC)

Ireland plans to independently impose economic sanctions on the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, announcing that it will not wait for the EU to unilaterally suspend trade with Israel, after pro-Israel countries had foiled the attempt of Ireland and Spain to act towards this end within the framework of the European bloc.

Dublin is considering preventing the import of any foods or goods that are produced in Israeli settlements, which value is estimated at one million euros annually.

Ireland along with Slovenia, Luxembourg and other countries constitute “pro-Palestinians” axis in the EU almost since the first day of the aggression on Gaza.

The European Union is the largest trade partner for Israel, as the volume of trade exchange between them reached about 50 billion dollars last year.

Due to power division in the EU, all trade issues of the joint bloc are determined by the European Commission, in consultation with the 27 member states.

Over the past year, Ireland and Spain tried to persuade the EU to impose sanctions on Israel because of the war on Gaza and Lebanon, but they faced opposition from the pro-Israel axis, which includes Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary among others.

The EU states are calling for an immediate meeting of the Council responsible for the partnership agreement between the European Union and Israel, on the basis of which commercial relations take place, but such a meeting, which also depends on the Israeli side, has not been held.

Since the beginning of the year, Ireland, Spain along with other countries have demanded the suspension of the partnership agreement, with the support of the European Union Foreign Relations Commissioner Josep Borrell, who announced a future meeting of the Council last May, but it was not conducted, due to the opposition of European countries and the Israeli rejection of its discussion.

Irish Foreign Minister Michael Martin said in a previous statement that Ireland and Spain will continue to pressure the European Union countries to review relations with Israel, and to reassess the partnership agreement between the EU and Tel Aviv.

The Irish society is witnessing a wide movement against the genocide war waged by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza, as many periodic demonstrations were held in various Irish cities and towns in solidarity with Gaza.

The speech of the former Irish Prime Minister, Leo Faradkar, who recently resigned, created a great resonance, in which he indicated that the reason for the Irish sympathy for the Palestinian people is that “the people of Gaza suffer from pain similar to those that the Irish experienced in the past.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
