Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip, based on the reliable data reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry:

By November 20, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 53,985+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (43,985), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 10,000+). 

By November 20, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 104,092.

By November 18, 2024, 785 Palestinians who were killed, 6,548 who were injured, and 11,842, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

On November 19, 2024, according to initial reports, 14 Lebanese civilians were killed, 87 were injured, by the Israeli genocidal raids on Lebanon, in the past 24 hours. Thus, the Lebanese death toll, since October 8, 2023, has surged to 3,558 fatalities and more than 15,123 injuries.

Since the Israeli land invasion of Lebanon, on September 23, 2024, the Lebanese death toll rose to 2,616 and the injuries to 8,174.

"وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا" (النِّسَاءُ ، 4: 93).

"إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوءُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا تَتْبِيرًا" ‎(الإسْرَاءُ ، 17: 7).

"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32).

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93).

"If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter promise (of punishment) comes, (our worshippers) will sadden your faces, and will enter the Masjid, as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they will take over, with (total) destruction" (Al-Isra, 17: 7).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

Israeli aggression on South, Biqaa' continues; death toll reaches 3,558

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that the death toll has reached 3,558 martyrs, with 15,123 others injured, since the start of the aggression on Lebanon.

The Ministry of Public Health's Public Health Emergency Operations Center released a daily report on the impact of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, confirming that airstrikes on Tuesday killed 14 people and injured 87 others.

The National News Agency (NNA) reported on Wednesday evening that an Israeli airstrike targeted the headquarters of the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Kfar Douneen, located in the Bint Jubail district.

Israeli warplanes targeted the town of 'Haneen, in the Bint Jubail district, in conjunction with artillery shelling targeting the towns of Al-Qawzah and 'Ayta Al-Sha'b in the same district.

The Center announced that the Israeli enemy's raid on the town of Ma'raka led to the martyrdom of four people, while the Islamic Risala Association said it rescued 16 wounded individuals following enemy raids on the town, with rubble removal operations still underway.

Meanwhile, the Israeli raid on the town of Al-Qulaila led to the martyrdom of one person in the Soor (Tyre) district.

Israeli warplanes and drones conducted airstrikes on the Qadmus area junction, located between the towns of Toura and 'Abbasiya.

Israeli warplanes also carried out a raid on the town of Jebsheet in Al-Nabatiya district and targeted the Baidar neighborhood in the town of Mayfadoun, also in the same district.

Israeli occupation aircraft also launched two airstrikes on the town of Al-Khiyam, while simultaneously subjecting the area to continuous artillery shelling.

In Jizzeen, an enemy raid targeted the heights of Birket Al-Jabour.

The Israeli occupation forces carried out a new massacre, targeting a Lebanese Army center in the town of Sarafand, located in the Sayda district of southern Lebanon.

In Western Biqaa', the agency reported that the Israeli occupation forces targeted the outskirts of the towns of Lucy and Qelya with heavy artillery shells.

Dozens of civilians killed and others injured in Israeli genocidal air strikes on various areas in southern Lebanon

BERUIT, November, 20, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Dozens of Lebanese civilians were killed and injured on Wednesday as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocidal air strikes on Lebanon, amid widespread destruction of buildings, facilities and infrastructure.

An occupation raid targeted a military vehicle belonging to the Lebanese army, resulting in one civilian and two wounded on the Burj Al-Mulouk-Qal'a road in southern Lebanon, while three army personnel were killed  last night as a result of the occupation targeting a Lebanese army center in the town of Sarafand in the south.

Five civilians were also killed as a result of the occupation raids on the towns of Ma'rka and Zifta in the south.

The occupation raids on the towns of Kafr Al-Malki, 'Ain Qana,' Haboush and Zoutar Al-Sharqiya last night led to the killing of more than 10 citizens.

The occupation warplanes and artillery bombed the towns of Kafr Shouba,Al- Khiyam, Shib'a, 'Ain Ba'al, Dair Qanoun, Ras Al-'Ain, Al-Jabbeen, Al-Mansouri, Qana, 'Aitat and Zibqeen, in southern Lebanon.

Israeli overnight aggression on Southern Suburb of Beirut renews

Israeli occupation forces plan to strike at least three residential areas in the southern suburb of Lebanon's capital.

Israeli warplanes struck multiple residential areas in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, early on Thursday, following a few days of relative calm in the area. 

At least two strikes targeted the Haret Hreik area in the suburb, after the Israeli military command issued three warnings, saying that it would hit three residential buildings in the same area. 

It is worth noting that these warnings have been unreliable, as the number of strikes launched during every round of raids has been consistently higher than the number of individual warnings issued. Moreover, dozens of buildings have been struck with no previous warnings.

Death Toll from the Israeli Genocidal War on Gaza Rises to 43,985

Gaza, November 20, 2024 (QNA) -

The death toll from the Israeli aggression, which has been ongoing on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 43,985 martyrs in addition to 104,092 wounded, most of whom are children and women.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that over the past 24 hours, the occupation committed two massacres against families in Gaza, where 13 martyrs and 84 wounded were transferred to hospitals.

The statement noted that thousands of other victims are still under the rubble of destroyed buildings across all areas as ambulance and civil defense crews were not able to reach them.

Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 411

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 411th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 47, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area.

Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services.

According to local sources, the Israeli army bombed a group of civilians in Khirbet al-Adas in Rafah, south of Gaza, killing and injuring a number of them.

An Israeli attack on a house near as-Sultan Bakery in al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City killed and injured a number of people.

The civil defense service said that one of its members was martyred and others were injured when the Israeli army targeted the same site as they were working on searching for victims buried under the rubble of a bombed house in al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation army also committed a new massacre when it bombed a house belonging to the family of Jouda, in Gaza street, in Jabalya, north of Gaza, killing and injuring 22 civilians.

Earlier, an Israeli warplane bombed a house belonging to the family of Ka'hlout near the electricity company in Bait Lahya in northern Gaza, killing eight people and injuring others.

More casualties were reported in different areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

Five Palestinians killed and 15 injured by the Israeli genocidal airstrike in northern Gaza

GAZA, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) –

At least five Palestinians were killed and 15 others injured on Wednesday evening by an Israeli genocidal airstrike targeting northern Gaza, according to local t.

WAFA correspondent reported the airstrike hit a civilian area in the Bait Lahya project, located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The five victims were killed instantly, and several others were injured in the attack.

Earlier in the day, a series of Israeli airstrikes across Gaza resulted in significant casualties. In the afternoon, at least 20 Palestinians were reported killed, and many others injured in separate bombings across the region.

Medical sources confirmed that three individuals lost their lives in a targeted Israeli strike on a group of civilians in the Khirbet Al-'Addas area, east of Rafa'h, in the southern Gaza Strip. The bodies were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younus for identification.

Meanwhile, seven people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Attar Street, located in the southern part of the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younus.

In central Gaza, six people, including displaced families, were killed in a bombing of the Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed School in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp. The school had been sheltering several displaced families fleeing the ongoing Israeli attacks.

Elsewhere, a separate Israeli shelling targeted a refugee center inside the 'Awani Al-Harthani School in northern Gaza, killing three people, including two children, while several others were wounded.

Additionally, a drone strike hit the area of Tel Al-Za'tar in northern Gaza, injuring one civilian after a missile was dropped on residential homes.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 43,985 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 104,092 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israeli shelling targeting civilians in Gaza's city of Rafa'h kills 20, injures others

GAZA, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) -

At least 20 civilians were killed and others were injured on Wednesday in an Israeli shelling targeting different locations in the Gaza city of Rafa'h.

According to medical sources, three civilians were killed in an Israeli bombing targeting a group of civilians in Khirbet Al-'Adas in the city of Rafa'h.

Seven more civilians were killed in an Israeli bombardment targeting a site south of All-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younus in southern Gaza.

Six civilians were also killed in the occupation’s bombing of Khalid Bin Al-Waleed school in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza., where displaced persons are seeking shelter.

A civilian was also killed and others were injured in the occupation’s targeting of a group of civilians in the Bait Lahya residential project area in the northern Gaza Strip.

Three other civilians, including two children, were killed in an Israeli artillery shelling targeting a shelter center inside 'Awni Al-Harithani school in northern Gaza.

Another civilian was wounded in a drone attack that targeted civilian homes in the Tel Al-Za'tar area, north of the Strip.

The Israeli occupation’s ground, sea and air offensive on the besieged enclave since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of more than 43,972 civilians, and the wounding of 104,008 others.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the continued Israeli attacks and the massive amount of debris.

Two civilians killed and dozens injured in Israeli bombardment of north and south Gaza

Two civilians were killed and others were injured in the shelling of the occupation warplanes in the north and south of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that one civilian was killed in the occupation artillery shelling of Jabalya Al-Nazla in the north.

They added that another citizen was killed in the shelling of the occupation warplanes in the Khirbet Al-'Adas area north of Rafa'h.

They indicated that shrapnel injuries were recorded as a result of an occupation drone dropping a bomb on citizens near the entrance to Al-Nusayrat.

Two journalists killed in Israeli attack in central Gaza

Two Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike in central Gaza City on Wednesday evening.

Local media sources reported that the Israeli warplanes targeted the journalists Ma'hmoud Al-Khateeb and Abdul Ra'heem Al-Tahrawi while they were passing through al-Thawra Street in Al-Rimal neighborhood, killing both of them on the spot.

The two victims bring the total number of journalists who were killed in the ongoing Israeli genocidal war to 192.

396 more journalists were injured during the same reported period, while 40 journalists were arrested.

Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

Two Palestinians killed in Kafr Dan, bringing death toll to eight amid ongoing Israeli offensive in Jineen

Jineen, 20 November 2024 (WAFA) –

The Governor of Jineen, Kamal Abu Al-Rob, confirmed tonight that two Palestinian young men have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Kafr Dan, located to the west of Jineen city in the northern West Bank.

Their bodies were subsequently detained by Israeli forces, raising the total number of fatalities in the district to eight, as the Israeli assault on Jenin city, its refugee camp, and surrounding towns continued for over 48 hours.

Abu al-Rob reported that the two men, whose identities have not yet been revealed, were killed when Israeli forces targeted their vehicle with an airstrike and later besieged a nearby house in Kafr Dan. As of now, Israeli forces have not returned the bodies.

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that one young man was killed after being shot in the chest during an Israeli military incursion into Kafr Dan. Despite efforts by paramedics to resuscitate him, he succumbed to his injuries. Another young man was also injured in the chest and was taken to Ibn Seena Hospital in Jineen, where his condition was described as stable.

Meantime, local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces set fire to four vehicles in the Wadi 'Hasan area near the town during the assault, and at one point, an Israeli military unit seized an ambulance belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Kafr Dan, opening fire near it.

The Israeli offensive has left widespread destruction across Jenin. Infrastructure, including water and electricity networks, has been severely damaged. Israeli forces also targeted civilian homes, setting four houses and a commercial shop on fire in the Jenin refugee camp and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Israeli occupation forces have also targeted emergency responders, repeatedly obstructing Palestinian Red Crescent teams' efforts to evacuate the wounded from the camp. On multiple occasions, Israeli troops detained ambulance vehicles and used the crews as human shields during their operations.

As of now, the Israeli military has withdrawn from parts of Jenin city and the refugee camp, but the damage caused by the assault remains significant.

Palestinian youth killed by Israeli forces' fire in Jineen-area confrontations

Jineen, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian youth was shot and killed on Wednesday evening during confrontations with Israeli forces in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jineen.

Earlier, an Israeli occupation drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.

WAFA correspondent reported that the drone struck the vehicle in the Wadi Hasan area, located between the towns of Kafr Dan and Al-Yamoun, coinciding with the military’s invasion of the town. Apache helicopters were also seen flying overhead.

Confrontations erupted between residents and the occupation forces following the military’s incursion into the town.

Additionally, the occupation forces surrounded a house near the location of the vehicle bombing and attacked it with shoulder-launched missiles.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams transported a Palestinian to the hospital after he sustained a critical chest injury from Israeli forces’ live fire during the confrontations. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Two Palestinian young men shot, injured during Israel's ongoing onslaught on Jineen city and its refugee camp

Jineen, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Two Palestinian young men were injured on Wednesday by shrapnel from live bullets in the occupation's ongoing aggression on the city of Jineen and its camp.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its crews transferred two young men injured by shrapnel from live bullets fired by the Israeli occupation forces toward residents and their homes in Jineen refugee camp.

Earlier today, the occupation forces injured two young men with live bullets in the chest and hand in Jineen refugee camp.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces have been obstructing the work of ambulances and Red Crescent crews since the beginning of the aggression on Jenin yesterday, detaining them and using them as human shields.

The onslaught on Jenin city and its refugee camp has now entered its second day. It has so far resulted in the killing of five Palestinians. The ongoing offensive has also caused numerous injuries, detentions and extensive damage to infrastructure and residents' properties.

Four Palestinians injured by Israeli occupation forces following demolition operations of house, commercial structure in Salfeet

Salfeet, November, 20, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Four Palestinians were injured on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house and a commercial structure in the town of Dair Ballut, west of the city of Salfeet.

The mayor of Dair Ballut, Sameer Nimr, said that the occupation forces began demolishing a house inhabited by residents in the Al-Muraij area, consisting of one floor with an area of ​​150 square meters, and a commercial facility on an area of ​​one dunum.

He pointed out that the occupation demolished the house and the commercial structure without prior warning, as citizen Abdullah was unable to empty their contents before the demolition.

Nimr reported that the medical crews dealt with four injuries, one of which was caused by live bullets to the foot, and three injuries caused by sound bombs to the face and shoulder.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces fired live bullets at a young man near the southern separation and expansion wall, and he was later transferred to the hospital for treatment, where his injury was described as moderate.

Palestinian injured by Israeli gunfire during raid near Toulkarm

Toulkarm, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) --

A young Palestinian man was injured by live gunfire from Israeli occupation forces during a raid in the town of Kafr Al-Labad, east of Toulkarm, on Wednesday evening.

Local sources told WAFA that confrontations erupted after Israeli military vehicles stormed the town, with soldiers opening fire extensively. During the confrontations, a 20-year-old man was struck in the foot by a live bullet.

Emergency medical teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent quickly responded to the scene, providing first aid and transporting the injured man to the Thabit Governmental Hospital in Toulkarm for further treatment.

Young man injured by live ammunition during Israeli army raid near Nablus

NABLUS, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) –

A young man was injured by live ammunition on Wednesday evening during an Israeli military raid in the village of Jaloud, southeast of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the village, firing live bullets as well as tear gas and sound bombs. The attack sparked confrontations between the soldiers and local residents. 

During the confrontations, a young man was shot in the waist with live ammunition and was subsequently rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The Israeli occupation army frequently conducts such raids in Palestinian cities and villages in the West Bank, leading to violent confrontations and casualties among Palestinian civilians.

Over 15 Palestinians kidnapped by the Israeli forces in West Bank

RAMALLAH, November, 20, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped at least 15 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, including former prisoners, during a series of overnight raids, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.

The kidnappings were distributed across the governorates of  Ramallah, Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), Nablus, and Toulkarm.

The two organizations said in a joint statement that the detentions are part of Israel's ongoing campaign of widespread detentions across the West Bank. In addition to the detentions, Israeli forces subjected detainees and their families to threats, physical abuse, and destruction of property during the raids.

The recent detentions bring the total number of Palestinians detained since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression to over 11,700, including those arrested from both the West Bank and Jerusalem. These numbers reflect the growing scale of Israel's mass detention policy, which has intensified dramatically since October 7, 2024.

Four Palestinians injured by Israeli occupation forces following demolition operations of house, commercial structure in Salfeet

Four Palestinians were injured on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house and a commercial structure in the town of Dair Ballut, west of the city of Salfeet.

The mayor of Dair Ballut, Sameer Nimr, said that the occupation forces began demolishing a house inhabited by residents in the Al-Muraij area, consisting of one floor with an area of ​​150 square meters, and a commercial facility on an area of ​​one dunum.

He pointed out that the occupation demolished the house and the commercial structure without prior warning, as citizen Abdullah was unable to empty their contents before the demolition.

Nimr reported that the medical crews dealt with four injuries, one of which was caused by live bullets to the foot, and three injuries caused by sound bombs to the face and shoulder.

Local sources reported to WAFA that a group of the illegal Israeli settlers hurled stones at the Palestinian vehicles traveling on a road near the illegal Israeli settlement of Yitzhar, which is illegally built on Palestinian land south of Nablus.

Earlier in the evening, Israeli occupation forces stormed Burin village, setting up a checkpoint at its entrance and raiding a local home. 

These incidents are part of an ongoing pattern of army-guarded terror attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers in the region.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinians, attempt to steal livestock east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), November, 20, 2024 (WAFA) – 

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinians in the Minya desert area, east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem).

The head of the Minya village council, Zayid Kawazba, said that a group of Israeli colonists attacked local  residents in the desert area and attempted to steal some livestock, but the residents confronted them.

He added that the colonists further threatened the residents to evacuate the area within ten days.

Kawazba pointed out that the Minya desert has been suffering from colonist attacks since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, as the occupation paved colonial roads to connect the colonial outposts established on the lands of Minya, Tekoa and Kisan, east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem).

He appealed to human rights institutions to intervene to protect local residents from colonist attacks.

UN Security Council fails to approve resolution calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

NEW YORK, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) —

The United Nations Security Council failed to adopt a draft resolution on Wednesday evening calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. 

The resolution garnered support from 14 of the 15 members of the Council but was ultimately blocked by a veto from the United States.

The draft resolution urged all parties concerned to fulfill their responsibilities under international law, particularly concerning the treatment of detainees, and to ensure the provision of essential services and humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. 

Additionally, it called for adherence to international and humanitarian law, with a specific emphasis on the protection of civilians and civilian property.

The resolution also called for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2735 and reaffirmed that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) remains a central pillar of the humanitarian response in Gaza.

This marks the latest setback in the Council's efforts to secure a unified response to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Prisoners’ rights groups: More than 770 children arrested in the West Bank since October 7, 2023

The Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society, two human rights groups concerned with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, said at least 770 children from the West Bank have been arrested since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October last year.

On the International Children’s Day, which falls on November 20, the two prisoners’ rights groups said on Wednesday that there is no clear-cut numbers of the children who have been arrested from Gaza in light of the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance against Palestinians in Gaza.

They explained that at least 270 children are still detained in the Israeli prisons of Ofer and Megiddo, in addition to other military detention camps, including new established camps after the escalation of Israeli arrest operations that affected thousands of citizens.

The human rights groups indicated that the arrested children were subjected to severe beating and threats, affirming that statistical studies and documented testimonies indicate that arrested children were subjected to one form or another of either physical or psychological torture, through a number of systematic tools and methods that run contrary to human rights laws, international conventions, and child rights. A number of children were subjected to field executions during arrest operations, they said.

Statistical studies also documented a number of cases of children used as hostages by the Israeli occupation forces to pressure their family members to surrender, noting that the most prominent of these cases was the story of a three-year-old child from the town of Bait Leqia in Ramallah, who was arrested for one hour and a half, before he was released when his father had to turn himself in.

Israeli aggression on Gaza led to the accumulation of 42 Million tons of contaminated rubble - Environment Quality Authority

Head of the Environment Quality Authority, Nisreen Al-Tamimi, emphasized that the ongoing Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip has led to the accumulation of more than 42 million tons of rubble, contaminated with hazardous substances and organic pollutants.

Speaking at the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Tamimi highlighted that 95% of Gaza's water sources are now polluted and unfit for human use, contributing to the spread of infectious diseases.

Tamimi also noted that the occupation has bulldozed and taken control of 4,000 hectares of land in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, this year, in addition to destroying infrastructure and annexing more than 50% of nature reserves for the benefit of colonial and military expansion.

She called on representatives of world countries to uphold their responsibilities under international law and agreements, urging them to pressure Israel to halt its genocidal actions, lift the siege, remove the ban on UNRWA and strengthen relief efforts, early recovery and reconstruction, with the ultimate goal of ending the occupation.

The COP29 summit, taking place this year in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, acts as the implementation body of the Paris Agreement on climate change. Its goal is to identify global solutions to mitigate global warming and accelerate the green transition. The Palestinian Environment Quality Authority represented the State of Palestine at this summit.

'Hamas: US is directly responsible for Israeli genocidal war on Gaza

The 'Hamas Resistance Movement accused on Wednesday the US of being “directly responsible” for Israel’s “genocidal war” in Gaza after it vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire.

“Once again, the United States demonstrates that it is a direct partner in the aggression against our people, that it is criminal, kills children and women and destroys civilian life in Gaza, and that it is directly responsible for the genocidal war and ethnic cleansing, just like the occupation (Israel),” Hamas said in a statement.

The Movement called on the US to stop “this reckless hostile policy if it truly seeks to end wars and achieve security and stability in the region.”

It also called on the international community “to put an end to this US encroachment on international will, which has only achieved wars, death, destruction and chaos in the region and beyond.”

Earlier Wednesday, the US vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all captives held in the Gaza Strip in return for releasing Palestinian prisoners.

The resolution called for an “immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire” in the 13-month genocidal war and separately demanded the release of Israeli captives and Palestinian prisoners.

Only the US voted against, using its veto as a permanent council member to block the resolution.
