In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a group of civilians while they were inspecting their homes and businesses, assessing the damage caused by the ongoing Israeli attacks on the town for the past seven months. The Israeli strike resulted in the killing of several individuals and material damage to the properties of the residents. He added that civil defense teams arrived at the scene and embarked clearing the rubble and searching for survivors. Earlier today, the Israeli artillery shelled the northern outskirts of the town of Aytaroun in the Bint Jbeil district and the outskirts of the town of Alma Al Sha'b in Soor (Tyre) district, southern Lebanon. M.N. *** The Israeli occupation apartheid government shuts down Al Jazeera’s offices, seizes its equipment Sunday 5-May-2024 Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) The hard-line Israeli occupation apartheid government has ordered the local offices of Qatar’s Al Jazeera satellite news network to close Sunday following months of closure threats against the channel by premier Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right ministers. The Israeli order, which includes confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel’s reports and blocking its websites, was issued in the midst of ongoing Qatari mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip. According to the Associated Press (AP), Al Jazeera went off Israel’s main cable provider in the hours after the order. However, its website and streaming links across multiple online platforms still operated Sunday. For its part, Al Jazeera has strongly denounced the Israeli government’s decision to close its news operations in Israel as a “criminal act” and warned that the country’s suppression of the free press “stands in contravention of international and humanitarian law.” “Al Jazeera Media Network strongly condemns and denounces this criminal act that violates human rights and the basic right to access of information. Al Jazeera affirms its right to continue to provide news and information to its global audiences,” the network said in a statement on Sunday. “The Network vehemently rejects the allegations presented by Israeli authorities suggesting professional media standards have been violated. It reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the values embodied by its code of ethics,” it said. The statement comes after Netanyahu’s cabinet voted unanimously to close Al Jazeera’s operations in Israel, weeks after Israel’s parliament passed a law allowing the temporary closure of foreign broadcasters considered to be a threat to national security during the months-long genocidal war on Gaza. Netanyahu announced the decision on X, formerly Twitter. “The government headed by me unanimously decided: the incitement channel Al Jazeera will be closed in Israel,” he posted in Hebrew. Following the decision, the Israeli police sent plain-clothes officers to raid Al Jazeera’s office in Occupied Jerusalem. In another X post, Israeli communications minister Shlomo Karhi said he had signed the orders against Al Jazeera, which would be effective immediately. The network has reported the Israeli war on Gaza nonstop since the al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas launched its cross-border operation on October 7, 2023 and has maintained 24-hour coverage of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza that has killed and wounded members of its own staff. *** Haniyya: 'Hamas keen on reaching comprehensive ceasefire Sunday 5-May-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Head of the 'Hamas political bureau Isma'eel Haniyya said that his Movement held contacts with mediators and resistance factions as a prelude to sending its delegation to the Cairo ceasefire negotiations over Gaza. In a statement on Sunday, Haniyya reiterated his Movement’s positive and flexible approach to the upcoming round of negotiations in Cairo. Haniyya also said that 'Hamas negotiators are aware of the importance of prioritizing an end to the aggression against the Palestinian people, affirming his Movement’s ceasefire position is “essential and rational” as it lays the foundation for a more stable future. The 'Hamas leader underlined that any ceasefire agreement would be pointless if it did not lead to an end to the war on Gaza. “The world has become a hostage to an extremist [Israeli] government, which has a huge number of political problems and crimes committed in Gaza,” he said. He accused Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu of persisting in fabricating lies in order to justify the ongoing aggression against Gaza, expand the circle of conflict and sabotage the efforts being made by mediators to end the war. “'Hamas is still keen on reaching an overarching and multistage agreement that ends the aggression, guarantees Israeli withdrawal, and achieves a serious prisoner exchange deal,” the Hamas leader said. *** Israel denies UNRWA's Commissioner-General entry to Gaza NEW YORK, Sunday, May 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities denied Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), entry to the Gaza Strip for the second time since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023. Lazzarini said took to X to say that he was denied entry to Gaza by the Israeli authorities. "Just this week, they have denied - for the second time- my entry to Gaza where I planned to be with our @UNRWA teams including those on the front lines," he said. K.T. *** The wave of student protests condemning the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza expanding Sunday 5-May-2024 CAPITALS, (PIC) From America to Europe, student protests rejecting the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip continue in several American and European universities, sparking the largest uprising protesting the genocide against Palestinians. In Canada, hundreds of students at the University of Toronto demonstrated to demand an end to the Israeli war on Gaza and to support the student sit-in against the war on campus. The protesters gathered in front of the US Consulate in the city before moving in a march that ended near the location of the student sit-in. The protesters chanted slogans condemning the ongoing Israeli massacres against civilians and demanding an immediate ceasefire. They also raised banners condemning the support Israel has received from several countries despite its insistence on continuing its military operations in the Gaza Strip. In Odense, Denmark, a massive march took place condemning the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, and the demonstrators raised Palestinian flags. Similarly, the city of Uppsala in Sweden witnessed a similar demonstration in support of the Palestinian cause, with academics and students participating. They raised slogans that read: “For Palestine”. The German capital, Berlin, witnessed a protest in which multiple political factions participated in solidarity with the Palestinians and in protest against the Israeli war on Gaza. The participants in the protest called for an end to what they described as genocide in Gaza, and they raised slogans condemning what they described as Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government’s support for Netanyahu’s government in the war on Gaza. A demonstration took place in the French capital, Paris, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the need to hold Israel accountable for what they describe as the genocide it commits. The demonstrators accused Western countries, including France, of complicity with Israel. They also called on the French people to break their silence and support the just Palestinian cause by participating in demonstrations, boycotting Israeli goods, and boycotting products of companies that support Israel. In Ireland, the president of the Students’ Union at Trinity University in the capital Dublin said that the sit-in condemning the Israeli war on Gaza will continue until the students’ demands for an end to the war are met. Approximately 100 students are participating in the protest, which began on Friday. The students called on the university administration to sever its ties and investments with Israel and to condemn the Israeli massacres in Gaza. They set up a camp inside the university campus and hung banners describing Israel as a “terrorist state” and demanding freedom for Palestine. In the UK, students at the University of Manchester have affirmed their commitment to continue their sit-in on campus for the fourth consecutive day, calling on the university to sever its ties with Israel. This comes after the university administration received a memorandum from the city police notifying the protesting students that one of their chants during the demonstrations incites division. The students have expressed their determination to continue their sit-in until the university administration responds to their demands, which include cutting academic and research ties with Israeli institutions and companies that supply weapons to Israel. In Yemen, students from Sana’a University held a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people and praised the student movements supporting the cause in European and American universities. The participants raised the Palestinian flag and chanted slogans condemning Washington’s policies towards the Palestinian issue. The students also commended the student activism in Western universities that rejects the war on Gaza, emphasizing that this stance reflects the living conscience and humanity in the world, and calling for an end to the attacks and arrests against students in those universities. In Tunisia, a solidarity rally with the Palestinians and in support of the resistance factions in the Gaza Strip took place on Habib Bourguiba Street in the capital. The participants in the rally, organized by the Supporters of Palestine Association, raised slogans condemning the massacres committed by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians. They called for the opening of crossings and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as well as the enactment of a law criminalizing all forms of normalization with Israel. In Malaysia, thousands of people from various parts of the country participated in a demonstration in front of the US Embassy in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The protesters denounced the United States’ policy, which they considered supportive of Israel in its war on the Gaza Strip. Political leaders such as former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad participated in the demonstration, demanding an immediate cessation of the war and expressing their support for the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and independence. Since April 18th, American universities have witnessed student activism in support of the Gaza Strip in the face of the Israeli war, which later expanded to universities in other countries. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn May 5, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 3 massacres, which resulted in the killing of 29 Palestinian civilians, and the injury of 110 others, in the past 24 hours. PRCS clarified that its teams transported the retrieved remains of the martyrs to Thabit Governmental Hospital in the city of Toulkarm. The five Palestinians were killed yesterday in an Israeli onslaught which lasted for 13 hours, during which Israeli soldiers showered the house with barrages of gunfire and shoulder-fired missiles until all those inside were killed. Salma Badran, the house owner, managed to escape from the debris unharmed before being arrested and taken away by soldiers. Later on, Palestinian medical and security sources announced that five young men who were inside the house were killed by the Israeli occupation forces. The bodies of four out of the five martyrs were taken away by the forces. M.N. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers
