In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (October 7, 2023-Fruary 26, 2024), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. Click here for more about using the apostrophe and the underlining of letters in the transliteration of Arabic names. *** *** Seven paramedics killed in Israeli airstrike in south Lebanon Monday 4-March-2024, BEIRUT, (PIC) An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon killed seven paramedics after targeting the Islamic Health Authority-Civil Defense Center on Monday evening, state media said. According to the Lebanese media, Israeli warplanes have carried out an air strike in the southern Lebanese town of Al-'Adaisa. The state-run National News Agency said that one of the Israeli genocidal airstrikes killed seven paramedics and injured ten others. 17 ambulances were also damaged during the attack, the source added. *** GMO: Aid should be delivered through crossings not by air Tuesday 5-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza announced that 72,043 people have so far been injured since the start of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip. In a press statement on Monday, the GMO warned of the escalating famine in northern Gaza, holding Israel and the US accountable for their enforced starvation policy against civilians in the besieged Strip. “The Israeli occupation army has been preventing access to humanitarian aid in northern Gaza,” it said, stressing that delivering aid by airdrops is not the appropriate method; rather it should be done through Gaza crossings. It highlighted that the Israeli occupation army has committed 19 types of war crimes against humanity in Gaza in addition to targeting medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, which constitutes a war crime. The GMO revealed that, by March 4, 2024, the Israeli occupation army has committed 2,675 massacres against people in the Gaza Strip, with hospitals receiving 30,534 martyrs, including 13,430 children and 8,900 women. About 364 doctors and medical staff, 48 civil defense workers, and 132 journalists have been martyred so far as a result of the Israeli aggression, the GMO statement added. It also pointed out that the initial direct estimated losses of the war on Gaza surge to $15 billion, as more than 360,000 housing units were destroyed. The GMO called on the international community to put pressure on Israel to stop its war of annihilation against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. *** 'Hamas slams UN official’s claims against resistance fighters Tuesday 5-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas Movement has strongly denounced UN official Pramila Patten for claiming in its report that Palestinian resistance fighters committed acts of sexual violence, including rape, during the October 7th events. “This report came after failed Zionist attempts to prove this false accusation, which was already found to be baseless and aim to demonize the Palestinian resistance and marginalize the report issued earlier by UN rapporteurs about the presence of conclusive evidence that Palestinian women and girls had been exposed to horrific human rights violations by the Israeli occupation forces,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday. “Despite Patten’s claim and her false and unfounded claims against Palestinian resistance fighters, its report did not document any testimony from what she called victims of these incidents. Rather, in its report, it relied on Israeli institutions, soldiers and witnesses chosen by the occupation authorities in an attempt to prove this false accusation, which has been refuted by all international investigations and reports,” 'Hamas added. 'Hamas stressed that Patten’s allegations clearly contradict the testimonies that were made by Israeli women about the good treatment they received from resistance fighters, as well as by Israeli female ex-detainees who asserted that they were treated well during their captivity in Gaza. “This false accusation will not succeed in obliterating the ugliness and horror of the Zionist crimes that are committed in the Gaza Strip, where about 40,000 Palestinians, most of them women, children and civilians were killed,” the Movement said. *** UN rights chief says “powder keg” Gaza could ignite wider war Tuesday 5-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) UN high commissioner for human rights Volker Turk has warned that the war in Gaza is a “powder keg” that could ignite a wider conflict with serious repercussions for the Middle East and beyond. In an address to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday, Turk said he was deeply concerned that the war – now in its 150th day – had already generated dangerous spillover in neighboring countries. “Any spark could lead to a much broader conflagration,” Turk warned. “This would have implications for every country in the Middle East and many beyond it.” He said it is “imperative to do everything possible to avoid” a wider escalation and specifically cited the military escalation between Israel and Hizbullah and other armed groups in Lebanon, calling them “extremely worrying.” *** WHO: The conditions in Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals are “horrific” Tuesday 5-March-2024, NEW YORK, (PIC) Following a visit to Al-'Awda and Kamal 'Idwan hospitals in southern Gaza, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday that “there are children dying of hunger in the two hospitals.” The Organization added, “there are severe levels of malnutrition, children dying of starvation, serious shortages of fuel, food and medical supplies, hospital buildings destroyed.” WHO Director-General, Tedros Ghebreyesus, said, “the visits over the weekend were the first since early October 2023 despite our efforts to gain more regular access to the north of Gaza.” The situation at Al-Awda Hospital is particularly appalling, as one of the buildings is destroyed. Kamal Adwan Hospital is the only pediatrics hospital in the north of Gaza, and is overwhelmed with patients. The lack of food resulted in the deaths of 10 children. The lack of electricity poses a serious threat to patient care, especially in critical areas like the intensive care unit and the neonatal unit. By March 4, 2024, and since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has been waging its aggression against the Gaza Strip, with US and European support, leading to the martyrdom of 30,534 citizens and the injury of 71,920 others, in addition to the displacement of about 85 percent of the population of the Strip, according to local authorities and international bodies and organizations. The death toll of child martyrs as a result of malnutrition and dehydration in the Gaza Strip rose to 16 martyrs, 15 of whom in northern Gaza. The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said that northern Gaza hospitals are incapable of providing life-saving services. For its part, UNRWA said, commenting on the killing of 16 children in the Gaza Strip as a result of drought and malnutrition, that children in the Gaza Strip are dying slowly, while the world is idly watching. *** Bread soaked in blood: Survivors recount Gaza's Flour Massacre By A'hmed Barakat Al-Mayadeen Net, March 5, 2024 These are the harrowing stories of survivors as Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted thousands of Palestinians gathered at the Al-Nabulsi roundabout in Gaza City as they waited for aid trucks. “What we went through was horrible. We ventured out in a quest to get some flour and food aid, but Israeli occupation tanks opened machine gun fire on us and shelled us, and they poured down rocket fire on us from their warplanes. Many of us lived through this by sheer miracle.” It is with a great deal of sadness and pain that Yusri Al-Ghoul recounts the hardships of searching for food in Gaza City and the north of the Strip. The population of Gaza City today barely stands at 700,000, and its inhabitants have been reduced to targets for the Israeli war machine, which is directly targeting them with fire and depriving them of food. A few days ago, the occupation committed a massacre against the people of Gaza City in which upward of 110 Palestinians were murdered and 760 others were injured, most of whom are in critical condition, after they were targeted on the al-Nabulsi roundabout on al-Rasheed Street, west of Gaza City. The massacre took place as thousands of Palestinians were waiting for trucks carrying flour and humanitarian aid. They had spent a whole night out in the open air in the hope of getting anything to feed their starving women and children and boost their morale to hang on to their patience and steadfastness. Deliberate targeting Yusri Al-Ghoul is one of the massacre’s survivors. He tells Al-Mayadeen Net that Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted thousands awaiting the aid trucks, with tanks first opening fire on them, followed by artillery and aircraft strikes. He says he was one of those who had been given another chance at life, and the only reason was the great distance separating him from the aid trucks, further explaining that just as soon as the trucks arrived and the people approached them, the IOF opened fire on them, randomly and brutally. Yusri and a few of his friends had gone to the Al-Nabulsi roundabout the previous night to wait for the aid, hoping to get a bag of flour for their hungry families. He and his friends were not successful in getting any food, but they were some of the fortunate ones who got to get back to their families alive and without suffering from any injuries. Still, they returned disappointed and saddened for their fellow citizens who were killed trying to secure food for their families. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn March 5, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 10 massacres, in which 97 Palestinian civilians were killed, and 123 were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the death toll in Gaza Strip to 30,631 and the injuries to 72,043, since October 7, 2023. *** Gaza: Death toll surges to 30,631 martyrs Tuesday 5-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The health ministry in Gaza said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army committed 10 massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 97 civilians and injuring over 123 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads. In a statement, the health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments, which started on October 7, climbed to 30,631 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 72,043 people. Every day, the Israeli army escalates its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7. Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities. *** Gaza death toll from ongoing Israeli aggression surpasses 30,631 GAZA, Monday, March 4, 2024 (WAFA) – The Palestinian death toll from Israel's deadly offensive against the Gaza Strip since October 7th, 2023, has now soared to 30,631, medical sources confirmed on Monday. They said that at least 72,043 other people have also been injured in the onslaught. “At least 97 people were killed and 123 others injured in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours,” they added . “Many victims are still trapped under rubble and on the roads and rescuers can’t reach them,” the sources noted. K.T. *** Israeli airstrikes kill dozens of Gazans in the past 24 hours GAZA, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 (WAFA) – More than 34 Palestinian civilians were killed during the past 24 hours following Israeli airstrikes that targeted citizens’ homes in the cities of Gaza and Khan Younus, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the Gaza European Hospital.
