In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (October 7, 2023-Fruary 26, 2024), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. According to local sources, scores of Muslim worshipers flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque amid an atmosphere of faith and joy. Following the dawn prayer, a number of Muslim worshipers stayed in the Mosque’s courtyards to read the holy Qur’an, especially outside the Qibli prayer building. Last night, over 60,000 Muslim worshipers performed the Isha and Tarawee'h prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. Despite the Israeli obstacles to their access to the holy city and Al-Aqsa Mosque, tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers were able to reach the holy site during the holy month of Ramadan. Many Muslim worshipers, who are banned from entering the Mosque, perform the prayers in the streets leading to the holy site. *** De Croo: Children’s death from hunger in Gaza “unacceptable” Sunday 17-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) Belgian premier, Alexander De Croo, has described the death of Palestinian children in Gaza from starvation as “absolutely unacceptable.” In social media remarks, De Croo stressed the need for both parties (Hamas and Israel) to sign a ceasefire deal immediately. He expressed Belgium’s appreciation for Qatar’s role in negotiating a ceasefire and prisoner release. The Belgian premier posted the remarks following his meeting on Saturday with the Qatari Ameer, Tameem Bin 'Hamad Al-Thani, in Doa'ha. Earlier on the same day, De Croo warned Israel against using hunger as a “weapon of war” in the Gaza Strip, urging the Israeli government to open more access points for humanitarian aid. “I see today there is a very large population [in Gaza] at risk of famine,” the Belgian leader told journalists in Amman, Jordan, during a whistle-stop tour of the Middle East. “It is up to Israel to prove that famine will not be used as a weapon of war.” *** Syrian soldier injured in Israeli airstrike Sunday 17-March-2024, DAMASCUS, (PIC) Israeli warplanes launched air raids on southern Syria at dawn Sunday injuring a soldier and causing material damage. The Syrian official news agency reported, quoting a military source, that the Israeli warplanes targeted a number of positions in southern Syria. It quoted the source as saying that Syrian air defense systems managed to intercept a number of missiles before reaching their targets, adding that a soldier was wounded in the attack while material damage was inflicted. *** The Tabatibi family massacre: Israeli airstrike hits their home during Su'hoor GAZA, Sunday, March 17, 2024 (WAFA) – Standing amidst dozens of lifeless bodies sprawled on the ground at the emergency department of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h, in the heart of the Gaza Strip, Mohammed Tabatibi (19 years old) wept for many members of his family who fell victim to an Israeli airstrike. Mohammed sustained injuries to his left hand during the attack that claimed the lives of 36 of his family members and relatives in the Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza. The survivors suffered injuries in the airstrike that targeted the home of their relatives during the Su'hoor of the first Friday night of the holy month of Ramadan. The family sought refuge with their relatives after being forced to flee from the devastated northern Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7th last year. Mohammed told AFP while fighting back tears, "These are my mother, my father, my aunt, and my siblings... They bombed the house while we were inside. My mother and aunt were preparing Su'hoor... They all died. I don't know why they bombed the house and committed this massacre." In addition to Mohammed's family members, five martyrs and 30 wounded arrived at the hospital, according to the hospital administration, as a result of Israeli airstrikes that targeted other areas in Dair El-Bala'h and its surroundings. The bodies of the Tabatibi family martyrs and other martyrs were placed in a specially designated truck originally intended for transporting humanitarian aid to the central Gaza Strip. The hospital resorted to using it due to the unavailability of cars or trucks and the lack of fuel, as confirmed by one of its officials. Among the martyrs were several children and two pregnant women. The bodies were wrapped in plastic bags and covers, and some were placed in special burial bags, which have become rare due to the immense toll of martyrs in the Strip since the beginning of the aggression. A procession of mourners, including three injured family members, followed the truck towards the "Martyrs Cemetery" in Dair El-Bala'h, where they were laid to rest in a large pit parallel to the main cemetery, which can no longer accommodate more deceased. After emptying it, traces of blood remained on the truck. At the site of the destroyed house due to the Israeli airstrike, Yousuf Tabatibi, from the Nuseirat refugee camp, continued to search for the victims among the debris scattered over a wide area. He told AFP, "We are searching for martyrs, and as you can see, we are working with our own hands," pointing to a white bag, "These are body parts we collected from this four-story house. In the lower two floors, there are martyrs that we cannot extract. We don't have equipment, bulldozers, machinery, or anything... We are working with our own hands." He continued sadly, "We brought shovels and stretchers, but to no avail... Look at the extent of the destruction." In the city of Rafa'h in the southernmost part of the Strip, an Israeli airstrike also targeted the home of the mosque muezzin in the Khirbat Al-'Adas neighborhood during Su'hoor, killing him and his sons. Their relative and neighbor, Ma'hmoud Dthahir (41 years old), told AFP, "They bombed the house of Hajj 'Isam Dahir, the muezzin of the Hamza Mosque in the neighborhood, killing him and his sons, Mohammed and Basel. All family members were injured due to the rubble falling on them." He added, "Hajj 'Isam is 60 years old. He had already called for the first Adthan for Su'hoor and went to his neighboring house to have Su'hoor with his family when they bombed the house while he was eating with them." In a sorrowful and condemning tone, he asked, "He was a good man, waking people up for Su'hoor and calling for Maghrib at Iftar time. The occupation does not need a reason to kill innocent civilians; it's just a desire for revenge and killing in this holy month." He questioned, "Where is the world, and where are human rights?" M.N. *** One in three children under 2 in Gaza is experiencing malnutrition: UNRWA JERUSALEM, Sunday, March 17, 2024 (WAFA) – One in three children under age 2 in northern Gaza is now acutely malnourished as famine is looming amid the Israeli siege imposed on the region, the main UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has warned. "Children’s malnutrition is spreading fast and reaching unprecedented levels in Gaza," the UN agency said in a social media post. More than five months into Israel's brutal war of genocide on the territory, much of the Gaza Strip is in ruins with most of its 2.3 million population displaced and facing a major humanitarian crisis. Western countries have called on the Israeli occupation authorities to do more to allow in aid, with the UN saying it faced overwhelming obstacles in bringing in aid to the enclave, including crossing closures, exhausting searches, restrictions on movement and unrest inside Gaza. Hospitals in Gaza have reported that some children are dying due to malnutrition and dehydration in northern Gaza, resulting from Israel's blocking of humanitarian aid to the region. It is expected that the international committee for monitoring food insecurity will soon present a report on the extent of the hunger crisis in Gaza. This comes after it warned last December of the imminent risk of famine extending until May. M.N. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn March 17, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 9 massacres, in which 92 Palestinian civilians were killed, and 130 were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the death toll in Gaza Strip to 31,645 and the injuries to 73,676, since October 7, 2023. *** Gaza: Death toll surges to 31,645 martyrs Sunday 17-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The health ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed nine massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 92 civilians and injuring over 130 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads. Every day, the Israeli army escalates its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7. Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities. *** US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters Day 160 Sunday 17-March-2024, GAZA, (PIC) As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered Day 160 on Thursday, massive aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound neighborhoods, homes, shelter centers and aid convoys, and massacre more civilians, mostly children and women. Local sources said that a civilian was killed in an artillery shelling east of Buraij camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with raids by Israeli warplanes on Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and Qulaibu area to the north. The occupation warplanes bombed a number of citizens’ homes in Gaza, including homes of Jouda families in the Beach Camp, Al-'Hilu in Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood, and Al-Nounu and 'Awadh in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, killing and injuring a number of people, who were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City. The occupation artillery also bombed a number of citizens' homes in Al-Bureij Camp and Al-Mughraqa area in the central Gaza Strip, wounding a number of citizens who were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h. The occupation warplanes targeted citizens' homes in Nusayrat camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, and at least three citizens were killed and taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 31,645, the majority of whom are children and women, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation aggression on October 7, 2023, while 73,676, others were injured as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
