In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. Click here for more about using the apostrophe and the underlining of letters in the transliteration of Arabic names. *** *** 25,000 patients, wounded civilians need to travel for treatment outside Gaza: Medical sources GAZA, Thursday, June 6, 2024 (WAFA) – 25,000 patients and wounded civilians need to travel for treatment outside the Gaza Strip, amid the continued closure of the Rafa'h crossing by the Israeli occupation forces, putting thousands of lives at risk of complications and death, medical sources in Gaza said on Thursday. They noted that many of them could be treated and saved if they were allowed to go to specialized centers outside the Gaza Strip, while the situation worsens for these patients and the wounded after the deliberate destruction by the occupation forces of most of Gaza's hospitals, rendering them out of service. The same sources explained that only 4,895 patients and wounded individuals were able to travel when the Rafa'h crossing was open. Since Israeli occupation forces occupied the Rafa'h crossing on May 12th, none of them has been able to leave Strip. K.T. *** FAO: Over 1M people in Gaza ‘expected to face death, starvation’ by mid-July Wednesday 5-June-2024 AMMAN, (PIC) Over one million people, almost half of the Palestinain population in Gaza Strip, are “expected to face death and starvation by mid-July,” the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) said on Wednesday. In a report called Hunger Hotspots Report, it said, “famine looms in Gaza while the risk of starvation persists in Sudan, Haiti, Mali, and South Sudan, the FAO pointed out the dangers that the Israeli-Palestinian crisis has brought.” “The ongoing conflict in Palestine is expected to further aggravate already catastrophic levels of acute hunger, with starvation and death already taking place, alongside the unprecedented death toll, widespread destruction and displacement of nearly the total population of the Gaza Strip,” the agency warned. “In mid-March 2024, famine was projected to occur by the end of May in the two northern governorates of the Gaza Strip, unless hostilities ended, full access was granted to humanitarian agencies, and essential services were restored,” it noted. The agency further warned, “Over one million people – half the population of Gaza – are expected to face death and starvation (IPC Phase 5) by mid-July.” The report also cautions about the wider regional consequences of the crisis, which could worsen the existing food security challenges in Lebanon and Syria. The Israeli occupation apartheid regime has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire. More than 36,500 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, the vast majority being women and children, and nearly 83,000 others injured, according to local health authorities. *** PGMO warns of new looming famine in northern Gaza Thursday 6-June-2024' GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza warned of a looming famine threatening again Gaza and North Gaza governorates, while food security crisis is worsening in central and southern governorates, especially with the displacement of tens of thousands of residents from the city of Rafa'h following the Israeli ground invasion of the city. The PGMO confirmed in a statement, received by Sanad News Agency on Wednesday evening, that Israeli occupation army has been tightening the siege on the entire Gaza Strip for more than a month by taking over and closing the Rafa'h crossing, preventing the entry of aid convoys through both of Rafa'h and Karm Abu Salim crossings. It explained that only a total of 257 aid trucks entered the Gaza and North Gaza governorates last week from the west of Bait Lahya, including 148 trucks loaded with flour for bakeries and citizens, and 26 trucks of medicines and medical consumables. The PGMO statement affirmed that the relief efforts remain below the minimum limit of the needs of the people amid the humanitarian catastrophe that is ravaging the Gaza Strip. It stressed the urgent need for the withdrawal of Israeli army from Rafa'h, intensifying relief efforts, allowing the entry of basic food commodities and supplies to reduce the food security crisis and prevent famine threatening the northern Gaza Strip. Over the past months, Israeli restrictions led to famine in light of the suffocating blockade imposed on the access to food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of children and the elderly. In the same context, relief officials and health experts warned on Friday in a press statement to The New York Times of “famine in the Gaza Strip, unless Israel lifts restrictions on aid, the fighting stops, and vital services return.” The officials added, “We expect famine in Gaza unless the fighting stops and vital services, such as health care and clean water, which must be in place to stave off malnutrition, are restored.” They explained that “hunger is worsening in Gaza as the Israeli attack continues on Rafa'h,” the southernmost city of the Gaza Strip. “We have never seen anything like this (the situation in the Gaza Strip) anywhere in the world,” Janti Soeripto, president and CEO of Save the Children USA said, according to the New York Times. *** 'Hamas chief slams settler flag march in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Wednesday 5-June-2024 Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) 'Hamas chief Isma'eel Haniyya slammed the rampage of the illegal Israeli Jewish settlers in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), on Wednesday. “The rampage of (illegal Israeli) settlers in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) confirms that Jerusalem is the focus of the conflict, and our people will not rest until the occupation ends and an independent Palestinian state is established with Jerusalem as its capital,” he said in a statement. Haniyya also said that Palestinian resistance factions will respond “seriously and positively” with any ceasefire proposal that is based on the total halt of war, complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and an Israeli captive-Palestinian prisoner swap deal. 'Hamas political leader further said in a statement that the group is engaging in negotiations “guided by this stance which reflects the will of our people and its valiant resistance”. Since the early morning hours, hundreds of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers escorted by police officers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards, amid tight restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site. According to local sources, over 700 of the illegal Israeli settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through Al-Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards. *** Nasirud-deen calls on the Arab and Islamic nations to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Wednesday 5-June-2024, (PIC) The head of the 'Hamas Jerusalem Affairs Office, Haroun Nasirud-deen, said in press remarks on Wednesday, “The Judaization flag march is a blatant attack on Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and the Arab and Muslim nations.” “The march this year comes on the anniversary of the ill-famed Palestinian Naksa (setback or second Nakba) that took place in light of negligence, weakness and conspiracy against Palestine and Al-Aqsa,” Nasirud-deen underlined. He called on the Arab and Muslim nations to increase the momentum of its participation in Al-Aqsa Flood battle in support of the resistance fighters and in defense of the holy Mosque. The 'Hamas official pointed out that the march comes at a time when Palestinians have been fighting against the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip for almost ninth months in a row, whereas illegal Israeli settlers are taking advantage of these conditions to organize the so-called flag march under the protection of the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police, army, and security forces led by the extremist criminal minister of internal security, Ben Gvir. *** The Israeli occupation apartheid regime extends detention of WAFA journalist NABLUS, Thursday, June 6, 2024 (WAFA) – An Israeli occupation apartheid regime military court extended on Thursday the detention of Rasha 'Hirzallah, a journalist working for the Palestinian News and Information Agency WAFA, for five days. The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) explained that the Israeli court in Salem extended the detention of 'Hirzallah, from the city of Nablus, in order for it to submit a "charge sheet," under the pretext of what the occupation calls "incitement." Last Sunday, Israeli intelligence summoned 'Hirzallah for investigation at a detention center in the illegal Ariel colony. She went there with a lawyer, and upon their arrival, she was informed that she would be detained for 72 hours. K.T. *** Spain to join South Africa's Gaza genocide case against Israel at ICJ MADRID, Thursday, June 6, 2024 (WAFA) – Spain has said it will join the case filed by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which accuses the Israeli occupation apartheid regime of violating its obligations in its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said, “We made this decision in light of the continuation of the military operation in Gaza.” “We also observe with enormous concern the regional extension of the conflict,” he said in a news conference on Thursday. Spain took the decision to not only “let peace return to Gaza and the Middle East” but also due to its commitment to international law, Albares said. “Our sole goal is to put an end to the war and to advance on the road of applying the two-state solution,” Albares said, a week after Spain, Ireland and Norway, recognized the statehood of Palestine. Spain will now join several countries including Colombia, Egypt and Turkey in formally requesting to join the case against Israel. K.T. *** UNICEF says 9 out of 10 children in Gaza experiencing 'severe food poverty' The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) warned against severe child food poverty amid world crises, including in the Gaza Strip amidst the ongoing brutal Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 6, 2024 (WAFA) – "Five rounds of data collected between December 2023 and April 2024 have consistently found that 9 out of 10 children in the Gaza Strip are experiencing severe food poverty, surviving on two or fewer food groups per day," UNICEF said in a report. It added that months of hostilities and restrictions on humanitarian aid have collapsed food and health systems, resulting in "catastrophic consequences" for children and their families in Gaza. "This is evidence of the horrific impact the conflict and restrictions are having on families’ ability to meet children’s food needs – and the speed at which it places children at risk of life-threatening malnutrition," it continued. The report also revealed that around 181 million children worldwide under 5 years of age are experiencing severe child food poverty, making them up to 50% more likely to experience wasting, a life-threatening form of malnutrition. "Children living in severe food poverty are children living on the brink. Right now, that is the reality for millions of young children, and this can have an irreversible negative impact on their survival, growth and brain development," said UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell. Children who consume just two food groups per day, for example rice and some milk, are up to 50% more likely to experience severe forms of malnutrition, Russell added. UNICEF also called on all governments and development and humanitarian partners to act to prioritize actions to end child food poverty.
