June 24, 2024
Editor's
Notes:
Here are some
initial (not final) statistics, which show the
Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli
genocidal war on Gaza Strip:
By June 24, 2024,
the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the
Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza Strip
is
44,626+.
This includes the accounted for deaths (37,626 and those who are still missing under the rubble (Corrected on April 18, 2024: 7,000+).
By May 25, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them.
By March 4, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them (May 25, 2024), destroyed 155 health institutions, 32 hospitals, 53 health centers, 126 ambulances, displaced 1.9 million Palestinians, and destroyed 360,000 housing units, about and 60% of the buildings and infrastructure in Gaza Strip.
ÈöÓúãö Çááåö ÇáÑøóÍúãóÜٰäö ÇáÑøóÍöíãö "ãöäú ÃóÌúáö Ðóٰáößó ßóÊóÈúäóÇ Úóáóìٰ Èóäöí ÅöÓúÑóÇÆöíáó Ãóäøóåõ ãóäú ÞóÊóáó äóÝúÓðÇ ÈöÛóíúÑö äóÝúÓò Ãóæú ÝóÓóÇÏò Ýöí ÇáúÃóÑúÖö ÝóßóÃóäøóãóÇ ÞóÊóáó ÇáäøóÇÓó ÌóãöíÚðÇ" (ÇáúãóÇÆöÏóÉõ ¡ 5: 32). In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. Click here for more about using the apostrophe and the underlining of letters in the transliteration of Arabic names. *** *** 'Hamas: Netanyahu’s comments on ‘partial agreement’ show he rejects Biden proposal Monday 24-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas Movement has issued a statement describing recent remarks from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as showing that he only wants a “partial agreement after which the war would resume” and not the proposal the Biden administration “tried to market”. Netanyahu’s positions are “a clear confirmation of his rejection of the recent Security Council resolution, and the proposals of US President Joe Biden,” Hamas said in a statement. The Movement continued to insist that any agreement must include, “a clear affirmation of a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.” “Our insistence that any agreement include a permanent ceasefire and complete withdrawal was necessary to block Netanyahu’s maneuvering and deception,” the statement reads. Hamas called on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli government to stop its war against the Palestinian people, and demanded that the US administration take a clear decision to stop its support for the ongoing genocide against the Gaza Strip. The Movement also called on the Biden administration to “lift the lid” on the Israeli crimes, which make Washington a key partner in committing them. Netanyahu made the comments in a televised interview with Israeli media outlet Channel 14 on Sunday, where he also said that Israeli troops would be moved to Israel’s border with southern Lebanon as “the war in its intense phase is about to end in Rafa'h”. But he cautioned that this didn’t mean an end to the war in Gaza, saying it would only end when Hamas no longer controls the enclave. *** 21,000 children estimated missing in Gaza, says Save the Children RAMALLAH, Monday, June 24, 2024 (WAFA) – Up to 21,000 children are estimated to be missing after nearly 9 months of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, many trapped beneath rubble, detained, buried in unmarked graves, or lost from their families, said Save the Children. The organization stated in a statement that the number of children separated from their families has increased due to the escalating Israeli attacks on the city of Rafa'h in the south of the Gaza Strip, and that those who protect unprotected children are under pressure. It is almost impossible to collect and verify information under the current conditions in Gaza, but at least 17,000 children are believed to be unaccompanied and separated and approximately 4,000 children are likely missing under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves. It added that other children have been forcibly ‘disappeared’, including an unknown number detained and transferred out of the Strip , their whereabouts unknown to their families amidst reports of ill-treatment and torture. The organization also pointed out that the bodies of those who were buried under the rubble or burned to death in tents during the Israeli attacks have become difficult to identify. In turn, the organization's regional director in the Middle East, Jeremy Stoner, said, "Many parents do not know the whereabouts of their loved ones, and no parent should dig in rubble or mass graves to find his child, nor should any child remain alone and unprotected in a war zone." He stressed the need for an urgent ceasefire to find the missing children and reunite them with their families if they are alive. Y.S. *** PGMO: 17,000 children in Gaza are orphaned Monday 24-June-2024 GAZA. (PIC) About 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are orphaned since the start of the Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people on Oct. 7, the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza revealed on Sunday. The PGMO also pointed out that 3% of the total number of these orphaned children lost both of their parents. UN estimates earlier revealed that at least 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip have been left unaccompanied or separated from their families nearly four months into Israel’s assault on the enclave. For its part, Save the Children organization revealed that “children in Gaza surviving the violence are enduring unspeakable horrors, including life-changing injuries, burns, disease, inadequate medical care, and losing their parents and other loved ones.” “They have been forced to flee violence, often repeatedly, with no safe place to go, and face the terror of an uncertain future.” “Before this war, UNICEF was considering that more than 500,000 children were already in need of Mental Health and Psychosocial support in the Gaza Strip. Today, it estimates that almost all children are in need of mental health and psychosocial support, that is more than 1 million children. *** UNICEF warns of escalating deaths among children in Gaza Monday 24-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) “Who did not die by bombardment, died of epidemics”, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said, describing the situation in the Gaza Strip and warning of the escalating death and injury toll among children due to the spread of various diseases and epidemics resulting from sewage flooding the streets and displacement tents, along with a severe shortage of drinking water, especially in the summer hot days. Since October 7 last year, Israel has been waging a bloody aggression on Gaza, which has resulted in tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, in addition to thousands of missing persons. UNICEF revealed that more than a million children have been suffering from skin and respiratory diseases since October 7, with more than 860,000 children complaining of respiratory diseases, 400,000 others of intestinal infections and more than 10,000 of skin diseases. The UN organization warned of dire consequences of Israeli continued obstruction of aid delivery, especially fuel which is needed to extract drinking water from ground wells. The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said that the forced displacement has already caused more than 1.66 million infectious diseases, including more than 71,000 cases with viral hepatitis infections. For its part, humanitarian and human rights organizations unanimously agreed on the need to immediately stop the genocide war on Gaza to ensure the implementation of relief plans to save people, especially children, in the Strip from certain death, and to prevent the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in light of the lack of essential basic needs. On June 7, UNICEF announced that 9 out of 10 children in Gaza were suffering from acute shortage of food, stressing that malnutrition aggravates death risk among children. The UN organization said in a report that “the situation in Gaza shows that families are unable to meet the nutritional needs of their children, which may lead to severe consequences.” On June 12, Martin Griffiths, the UN Under-secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, expected that half of the Gaza Strip will face death and famine by mid-July. *** Israeli occupation apartheid regime army kills director of ambulance services in aerial attack in Gaza Monday 24-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said that Hani Al-Ja'farawi, director of its ambulance and emergency services in Gaza, was martyred last night following an Israeli airstrike on Al-Daraj Clinic in Gaza City. In a statement on Monday, the health ministry mourned Al-Ja'farawi, saying he and his fellow ambulance workers were an exemplary model of steadfastness, determination and sacrifice and performed their humanitarian role to the fullest in evacuating casualties around the clock despite Israeli attacks. The health ministry in Gaza said it would continue to assume its medical and humanitarian duty despite the systematic Israeli targeting and direct killing of its cadres, pointing out that the Israeli occupation army had killed 500 health personnel so far and kidnaped more than 310 others. The health ministry appealed to the international community and UN and human rights institutions to work on ending the Israeli aggression against Gaza and protecting its health system and workers. Civil defense and medical crews recovered last night the bodies of two martyrs, including Al-Ja'farawi, and a number of wounded civilians after an Israeli warplane bombed Al-Daraj Clinic in Gaza City. *** The Israeli occupation apartheid regime extends detention of WAFA journalist for the third time RAMALLAH, Monday, June 24, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation apartheid regime military court in Salem extended on Monday, and for the third time, the detention of Rasha 'Hirzallah, a journalist working for the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) until August 11th. The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that a new session was held Monday for 'Hirzallah in the Israeli court in Salem, during which her detention was extended until August 11, 2024. Ra-id Ma'hameed, the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission's lawyer, said that the court decided to extend the extension until August 11 under the pretext of completing “judicial procedures.” It is noteworthy that a court session was held for 'Hirzallah on June 10, which in turn decided to extend her detention for two weeks. Earlier in June, Israeli occupation apartheid regime intelligence agents summoned 'Hirzallah for investigation at a detention center in the illegal Ariel colony. She went there with a lawyer, and upon their arrival, she was informed that she would be detained for 72 hours. K.T. *** Euro-Med: Israel destroyed 75 percent of Gaza’s cropland Sunday 23-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has said that the Israeli occupation apartheid regime army took more than 75 percent of the agricultural land area out of service in the Gaza Strip, either through isolating it as a prelude to illegally annexing it by force or destroying and bulldozing it. In a report on Sunday, Euro-Med accused the Israeli occupation army of seeking to destroy Gaza’s food basket of vegetables, fruits and meat, in addition to destroying other components of its local food production. Euro-Med also accused the Israeli occupation army of preventing the entry of food supplies and humanitarian aid as part of its effort to perpetuate famine in the Gaza Strip and use starvation as a weapon of war. Euro-Med said that Israeli occupation forces systematically carried out widespread destruction of agricultural land, and bird and livestock farms with the aim of making the Gaza population’s survival dependent on Israel’s decision to allow in or block humanitarian aid. Euro-Med added that its field teams documented that the occupation army deliberately killed many farmers while they were working or trying to reach their lands and farms, in addition to destroying thousands of farms, greenhouses, water wells and tanks, and agricultural equipment. Euro-Med called on the international community to ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, including essential food and non-food items, in order to address the health and environmental disaster in an immediate, safe and effective manner. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn June 24, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in massacres, which resulted in the killing of 28 Palestinian civilians, and the injury of 66 others, in the past 24 hours.
