In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. Click here for more about using the apostrophe and the underlining of letters in the transliteration of Arabic names. *** *** Despite the tight Israeli restrictions, 40,000 Muslim worshipers perform the 'Eid prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque Sunday 16-June-2024 Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) Over 40,000 Muslim worshipers performed on Sunday the Eidul Adh-'ha prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the movement restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). According to local sources, Israeli regime police officers assaulted in the morning a number of Muslim worshipers as they were walking to Al-Aqsa Mosque and after they left the holy site and prevented many others from entering the site for the Eid prayer. The Islamic Awqaf Administration in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) said that the Israeli police barred thousands of Muslim worshipers from reaching or entering the Aqsa Mosque, forcing many of them to perform the Eid prayer on roads in the Old City. In Al-Khaleel, local sources said that around 8,000 Muslim worshipers were able to perform the Eid prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the midst of tight Israeli restrictions on the entry of Palestinian citizens to the Islamic holy site. *** Haniyya: An overarching deal is needed to end Gaza war and exchange prisoners Sunday 16-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Head of the 'Hamas political bureau Isma'eel 'Haniyya said that the solution to the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the release of prisoners can be achieved through negotiations that lead to a comprehensive agreement. In a speech on Sunday, 'Haniyya affirmed that Hamas along with the other resistance factions in Gaza are “serious about reaching an agreement that includes the four main points — a permanent ceasefire, a comprehensive Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the rehabilitation of Gaza, and a prisoner exchange deal.” 'Haniyya stressed that 'Hamas and all the resistance factions in Gaza showed great seriousness and flexibility in order to reach an agreement sparing the blood and lives of the Palestinians in Gaza and stopping the Israeli aggression against them. 'Haniyya added that the response his Movement gave to the mediators about the last ceasefire proposal is consistent with the basics mentioned in US president Joe Biden’s speech and the relevant Security Council resolution. The 'Hamas leader said that the Israeli occupation regime and its allies did not respond positively to his Movement’s flexibility and persisted in making deceptive maneuvers and attempts through tabling proposals and ideas aimed at taking the Israeli captives and then resuming the war of extermination on Gaza again. He stressed the need for a clear and unambiguous agreement not subject to subsequent interpretations and not susceptible to postponement, bargaining or maneuvering. He expressed Hamas’s respect for the mediators’ role and the importance of what they do and its willingness to give them sufficient opportunity and room to accomplish their mission. *** UNICEF: Gaza witnessing a war on children Sunday 16-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) James Elder, the spokesperson for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), said that the killing and destruction perpetrated by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip will not bring peace to the children or the region, and stressed that the impact of the war on the young confirms the prevailing belief that the war in Gaza is a war on children. Elder, who is currently in Gaza, expressed his deep concern about the fading of hope among the residents of the Strip, especially the youth, and called on the world to take action to end this humanitarian tragedy. He recounted painful stories of children who have lost their families and homes, and are suffering from malnutrition and psychological trauma, stressing the need for an immediate ceasefire to save the lives of children and provide them with healthcare and education. The UN official said in an interview published on the United Nations website, “There is nothing normal about the constant fear that the children here are living in, and there is nothing normal about the last three nights of continuous bombardment and drones that deprive the children of sleep. And of course, there is nothing normal about the horrific injuries to the children that I saw just a few hours ago in Al-Aqsa hospital.” Elder pointed to a few of the hospitals that are still able to provide their services out of 36 hospitals that were operating in Gaza before the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and described the scenes he observed during his recent visit to Al-Aqsa hospital, saying, “It was actually overcrowded, because it is already in a state of war, and there were dozens of people with terrible injuries lying on the floors and mattresses, children with terrible injuries resulting from explosions and burns.” He added, “One of the doctors told me that there is no hospital in the world that can withstand the pressure we are going through now. There are Palestinian doctors in Gaza who are showing tremendous spirit.” He stressed that the attempt to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip is fraught with risks, and said, “During this ongoing war for 8 months, the largest number of my United Nations colleagues have been killed, more than any other conflict in the history of the United Nations, so it’s not that simple. We need two armored vehicles every time we move.” Elder said the world should feel horror at the long-term consequences of the destruction of educational institutions in Gaza, and added, “We know that the longer the war lasts, the greater the psychological damage it inflicts on children. UNICEF knows this from Yemen and Afghanistan. We are heading into the unknown when it comes to the mental health of children.” Elder concluded his remarks by saying that he witnessed the dwindling of hope among the residents of the Gaza Strip during his visit, despite the continued Israeli aggression despite all the international appeals and resolutions. He added, “Alarmingly, many young people told me words to the effect that they hope a missile will hit their tent so they can die and this tragedy can end. We cannot allow the world to turn its back, we cannot allow this to be normalized, there is nothing normal about this malnutrition crisis, there is nothing normal about the continuous bombardment or the atrocities I see in the hospitals, it is certainly not normal for children and their families to live in constant fear.” *** ýThe first day of 'Eidul Adh-'ha: A bloody Eid in Gaza due to the occupation bombingý ý"Anatolia"ý ýGaza 16-6-2024 Wafa - On the first day of 'Eidul Adh-'ha, the Israeli occupation army shelled with artillery and warplanes different areas in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death and injury of a number of citizens, including children and women.ý ýSince the morning, Israeli genocidal artillery has been shelling the neighborhoods of Rafa'h city in the southern Gaza Strip, destroying homes and damaging roads and infrastructure.ý ýThe Israeli occupation army fired its machine guns at ambulances while trying to retrieve the bodies of martyrs in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafa'h, who were killed earlier, according to eyewitnesses.ý ýThe witnesses explained to the Anadolu correspondent that no injuries were recorded among the medical staff inside the ambulances, while parts of a car were damaged and its glass was shattered.ý ýThey reported that Israeli artillery fired shells at the homes of citizens in the Saudi and Tel al-Sultan neighborhoods in Rafa'h.ý ýThe witnesses added that smoke plumes were seen rising from the city, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' targeting and blowing up the homes of citizens in the areas where they penetrate.ý ýBombing civiliansý ýWest of Rafa'h, a civilian was killed when an Israeli drone bombed while walking in a street, while dozens of others, including children and women, were injured in the bombing of a house in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, where the Israeli army is infiltrating.ý ýCivil Defense crews recovered the bodies of two citizens, who were martyred in the Beer Kinda area in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, after the Israeli occupation forces bombarded the area on the first day of 'Eidul Adh-'ha.ý ýThe Gaza Civil Defense said in a statement that its crews recovered two martyrs from the Beer Kinda area in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafa'h, after Israeli shelling of the area.ý ýAn Israeli air strike targeted agricultural land in the Hay al-Salam area, southeast of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, without any deaths or injuries, according to Anadolu correspondent.ý ýThe Israeli warplanes also targeted a house in the vicinity of the Emirati field hospital in central Rafa'h, according to eyewitnesses to Anatolia.ý ýThe Israeli army blew up residential buildings in the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafa'h, other witnesses told Anatolia.ý ýChildren in the Crossfireý ýIn Al-Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, 9 civilians, including 6 children, were killed and others were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces shelling of a house in the camp.ý ýThe Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip told Anadolu Agency that its teams "recovered 9 martyrs, including 6 children, in addition to a number of wounded who were transferred to the hospital, from Al-Buraij camp in the central Gaza Strip."ý ýIn Gaza City, 3 civilians were injured in Israeli shelling targeting different areas.ý ýThe Anadolu correspondent reported that the occupation artillery targeted the eastern areas of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, hitting the homes of citizens with shells and setting them on fire.ý ýEyewitnesses told the correspondent that 3 civilians were injured in shelling by Israeli drones on different areas in Gaza City, and were transferred to the city's Baptist Hospital.ý ýTargeting IDPsý ýIn the northern Gaza Strip, one person was killed and another injured when an Israeli drone targeted the roof of the Ghazi Al-Shawwa school, which shelters thousands of displaced people in Bait 'Hanoun, according to medical sources at Kamal 'Udwan Hospital to Anadolu correspondent.ý ýM.A.ý *** PGMO: Ban on sacrificial animals to Gaza reveals Israel’s ugly image Sunday 16-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Editor's Note: The slaughter of sacrificial animals in 'Eidul Adh-'ha is an observance of God's command. It leads to sharing meat with friends, neighbors, the poor, and the needy. *** The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in the Gaza Strip affirmed that Israel’s ban on entry of sacrificial animals into the Gaza Strip reveals its heinous and ugly image. The Office explained in a statement on Saturday evening that Israel is committing a new crime to be added to its black record, by prohibiting the entry of sacrificial animals into the Gaza Strip, by closing all Gaza Strip crossings coinciding with the arrival of 'Eidul Adh-'ha, including its occupation and closure of the Rafa'h border crossing, and the closure of the Karm Abu Salim crossing, in a clear violation of human rights and a total disregard for humanitarian and Islamic values. The statement stressed that “this new crime comes in the context of a series of Israel’s crimes and practices within the framework of the war of genocide and the unjust siege it has imposed on the Gaza Strip for 18 years, during which time the humanitarian suffering has continued on a large and unprecedented scale, leaving a negative and significant impact on the daily life of more than 2.4 million Palestinian civilians and displaced persons in the Gaza Strip, and this crime is also considered an obstacle to humanitarian and charitable efforts aimed at alleviating their suffering.” It pointed out that the sacrificial animals represent an integral part of the rituals, worship and acts of piety celebrated by Muslims on the occasion of 'Eidul Adh-'ha, and the crime of preventing their entry into the Gaza Strip represents a blatant disregard for the basic Islamic and humanitarian values and human rights, and the moral and legal responsibility requires the international community to intervene seriously to stop Israel’s war of genocide and this flagrant violation of the rights of Muslims and human rights. The PGMO strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to ban the entry of sacrificial animals into the Gaza Strip, which deepens the humanitarian crisis that the residents of the Strip are suffering from. He emphasized that this unjust decision is part of the context of the genocidal war and the unjust siege, with the aim of tightening the noose around the people of the Gaza Strip and depriving them of their basic rights, including their right to celebrate religious rituals. The Office held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for the continuation of these crimes against the Islamic religion and the Palestinian people, whether the genocidal war or the banning of the entry of sacrificial animals and depriving Muslims of the celebration of the blessed 'Eidul Adh-'ha. It called on the international community, the United Nations, various international organizations, and all the free countries of the world to put pressure on Israel and the US administration to stop the genocidal war, open the crossings, and cancel this inhumane decision. It also called for “intensifying efforts to break the siege on the Gaza Strip and provide urgent assistance to them.” *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn June 16, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 3 massacres, which resulted in the killing of 41 Palestinian civilians, and the injury of 102 others, in the past 24 hours. This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 37,337 and the injuries to 85,299, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. *** Gaza: Death toll surges to 37,337 martyrs Sunday 16-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The health ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 41 civilians and injuring over 102 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads. In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 143 of them, including 41 martyrs, were transported to hospitals. The Palestinian Health Ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 37,337 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 85,299 people. The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by the 'Hamas armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7. Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities. *** US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 254 Sunday 16-June-2024 GAZA, (PIC) As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 254 on Sunday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians. Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, amid intensive attacks in southern Gaza. According to media sources, a number of civilians were killed when the Israeli army bombed a road near the UNRWA warehouses in northern Rafa'h. Seven martyrs, including a child, were evacuated from Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza following an Israeli attack on a house. An Israeli airstrike also claimed the life of one civilian in Al-Mawasi area in Rafa'h, south of Gaza. Five martyrs from the family of Al-'Hamayda were reported following an Israeli attack on Al-Shaboura refugee camp in Rafa'h. More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today. *** Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Al-Buraij camp kill six Palestinians, injure scores GAZA, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces genocidal airstrikes targeting Al-Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip today killed six Palestinians, including an infant, and injured scores, according to local sources. They said that Israeli occupation regime warplanes targeted a house of Al-Khateeb family in the refugee camp, killing four people, including an infant, and injuring others. Another airstrike targeted a house of an-Najjar family in the refugee camp, resulting in the killing of two people and injuring others. This came as Israeli fighter jets and artillery blew up a number of residential buildings in the area of Al-Mughraqa, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Strip. Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets targeted Al-Mawasi area, north of Rafah, and a gathering of people in Shuja'iya neighborhood, east of Gaza, resulting in the killing of two people and injuring others. Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 37,337 Palestinians and injuring over 85,229 others. Moreover, approximately 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip. Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children. The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba. K.F. *** ý9 martyrs in Israeli shelling targeting two houses in Al-Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Stripý ýGaza 16-6-2024 Wafa - Nine Palestinian civilians, including 6 children, were killed and dozens were injured, on Sunday, in an occupation shelling that targeted two houses in Al-Buraij camp in the central Gaza Strip.ý ýAccording to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Al-Khateeb family in Al-Bureij camp, killing seven civilians, including children, and wounding others.ý ýShe added that the occupation bombed a house belonging to the Al-Najjar family in Al-Buraij camp, which led to the death of citizens and the injury of others.ý ýShe pointed out that the Israeli war machine blew up residential buildings in Al-Mughraqa area in the central Gaza Strip, by shelling them with warplanes and artillery.ý ýA civilian was killed in Israeli shelling targeting Al-Mawasi area, north of Rafa'h, in the southern Gaza Strip.ý ýIsraeli warplanes bombed a gathering of citizens in Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing a civilian and injuring others.ý ýThe Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of October 2023, resulting in the death of more than 37,337 citizens, and the injury of 85,299 others, in an indefinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.ý ÜÜÜÜM.A.ý *** *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces *** A Palestinian minor among four detained from Ramallah-governorate village RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Sunday noon detained four Palestinians, including a minor, from Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources. They said that the occupation forces barged their way into the village, where they rounded up four people, including a 7-year-old minor, and ransacked several houses, turning them topsy-turvy. The soldiers set up a checkpoint at the western entrance of the village, obstructing access into and out of it. Earlier today, the occupation forces detained three Palestinians from Al-Khadir town, south of Bethlehem, and another from Al-Fari’a refugee camp, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus. The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised. According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,300 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 250 child prisoners and 74 female prisoners. This number includes approximately 3,410 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing. The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one. K.F. *** IOFs kidnap Palestinians during West Bank raids Sunday 16-June-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped five Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank at dawn Sunday, the first day of the 'Eidul Adh-'ha holiday. According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped a young man from his home in Bait Reema town, west of Ramallah. The IOFs also kidnaped a young man after assaulting his parents in Kafr Ni’ma town, west of Ramallah, amid clashes with local youths. In Bethlehem, three young citizens were reportedly taken prisoners during IOFs raids on homes in Al-Khadir town. In Nablus, the IOFs stormed Rujeeb village and raided a house after encircling it, with no reported kidnappings. In a separate incident, a horde of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers attacked homes and local residents in Al-Jubiya community in the northern Jordan Valley. One citizen was reportedly injured in the settler attack. Two days ago, the same community was attacked by the illegal Israeli settlers. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Illegal Israeli settlers torch agricultural land, attack Palestinian vehicles east of Ramallah RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) – A group of the illegal Israeli settlers today torched Palestinian land in the village of Burqa and attacked Palestinian vehicles near the village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security sources. They said that colonists descended upon Beer Al-Marj agricultural area in the village and set it on fire. They added that the assailants attacked Palestinian vehicles travelling along the bypass road leading to the northern entrance of Al-Beerih city, hurling stones towards them. The illegal Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities. The illegal Israeli settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. More than 700,000 of the illegal Israeli settlers are living in illegal settlements across Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and the West Bank in violation of international law.
