On Day 281 of the US-Backed Israeli Genocidal War on Gaza Strip, 4 Massacres, 61 Palestinians Killed, 129 Injured, with a Death Toll of 38,443 and 88,481 Injuries
July 13, 2024
Editor's Notes:
Here are some
initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli
war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza Strip, based on the
By July 13, 2024,
the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the
Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza
Strip is
45,443+.
This includes the accounted for deaths (38,443), those who are still missing under the rubble (a corrected estimate, on April 18, 2024: 7,000+).
By July 12, 2024, the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombarment destroyed more than 100 health hospitals and medical facilities, 609 mosques, 3 churches, more than 430,000 housing units, and the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. The Movement underlined that “Israel has been procrastinating to gain more time to thwart this round of negotiations as it did in previous rounds, which does not fool the Palestinian people and the resistance.” *** Euro-Med: The Israeli occupation army commits horrific massacres against the Palestinian civilians in western Gaza Saturday 13-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said on Friday that Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) committed horrific atrocities against Palestinian civilians including willful killings, extensive destruction and burning of civilian buildings and homes, and forced evacuation as part of the ongoing crime of genocide for the tenth consecutive month. Euro-Med Monitor confirmed in a press statement, that “the IOFs launched numerous fire belts and engaged in indiscriminate shelling, stormed homes, and harassed residents. Reports indicated that over 60 people had been killed, with many bodies found in the streets and alleys.” “We received preliminary information about IOFs killing of a group of civilians, some of whom were families with all their members who were in the industry area, after storming their homes,” it added. Euro-Med Monitor teams documented the Israeli army torturing and severely beating a 58-year-old man while he and several of his relatives were besieged for 12 hours in his home close to the industrial area. According to documentation provided by Euro-Med Monitor teams, the Friends of the Patient Hospital was destroyed by the IOFs for the second time, following its restoration approximately one month ago to serve the Gaza residents’ medical needs. The Israeli army also bombed the Al-Salam clinic, the only health center in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Additionally, testimonies were provided to Euro-Med Monitor regarding widespread thefts and robberies by the IOFs during home raids and forced evacuation of the locals, including large amounts of money and valuables. The IOFs have been looting gold and cash from homes it raids and from residents it forced to relocate to the south of the Gaza Valley, where they were forced to leave their bags and all of their belongings seized by the Israeli soldiers Euro-Med Monitor concluded by saying “a comprehensive and impartial international investigation is required into the serious crimes and violations committed by the Israeli army forces against the Gaza Strip’s population and their property. These crimes and violations amount to fully-fledged, self-contained war crimes and crimes against humanity.” *** IOFs destroys the Friends of the Patient Hospital in Gaza after its renovation Saturday 13-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) destroyed the Friends of the Patient hospital in the city of Gaza, just weeks after it was renovated and returned to service. Photos broadcast by activists on Friday showed the occupation forces deliberately firing artillery shells and missiles towards the small hospital, which had recently become an example of resilience and efforts to revive the health sector, despite the widespread destruction in Gaza. The Friends of the Patient Hospital is one of the old and famous medical centers in Gaza, and it suffered destruction when the IOF began the ground offensive on the Gaza Strip. However, local efforts managed to renovate and repaint it from the outside, in preparation for its full rehabilitation, but the IOF proceeded to destroy it and take it out of service. The occupation forces have consistently targeted the health sector in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas, where they have destroyed many hospitals, clinics and medical centers since the start of the brutal war on Gaza, the most prominent of which was the Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the hospitals of Bait 'Hanoun, Kamal 'Udwan, and the Indonesian hospital, and dozens of other health centers. On Friday, the occupation forces partially withdrew from the industrial and university areas southwest of Gaza City, revealing widespread destruction, as well as their killing of dozens of civilians inside homes and alleys. Gaza’s Civil Defense said that the scene in the industrial and university areas was extremely difficult and tragic after the withdrawal of the occupation army, with dozens of martyrs’ bodies scattered in the alleys and inside the destroyed homes, in addition to the burning of many homes that the occupation army had set on fire before withdrawing. The IOFs have been waging a destructive war with American support on Gaza since last October, leaving more than 126,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, mostly children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children. *** US says Gaza’s floating aid pier to shut down soon Saturday 13-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The US department of defense (Pentagon) said that its central command attempted last Wednesday to reinstall the floating aid dock on the Gaza coast, but it did not succeed for technical reasons. “US Central Command (CENTCOM) personnel supporting the mission to deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians attempted yesterday (July 10) to re-anchor the temporary pier to the beach in Gaza to resume humanitarian operations. However, due to technical and weather-related issues, CENTCOM personnel were unable to re-anchor the pier to the shore,” Pentagon said in a statement last Thursday. “The pier and support vessels and equipment are returning to Ashdod where they will remain until further notice. A re-anchoring date has not been set,” Pentagon added. “The temporary pier has been a critical part of the United States’ effort to surge assistance into Gaza. To date, more than 8,100 metric tons (nearly 20 million pounds) of humanitarian aid have been delivered from the pier to the marshaling area where it can be collected by humanitarian organizations for onward delivery and distribution. This represents the largest amount of aid transported by the US military over a 3-month period and the largest humanitarian response in the Middle East region. “The pier will soon cease operations, with more details on that process and timing available in the coming days. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces*** On July 13, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 4 massacres, in which 61 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 129 others were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 38,443 and the injuries to 88,481, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. Editor's Note: The above statistics include reference to the victims of the past 24 hours of July 12-13 mid-day. It does not include the massacres committed in the second half of July 13 (those committed in Al-Mawasi of Khan Younus and Al-Shati refugee camp, in which 96 Palestinian civilians were killed and 299 were injured, according to initial reports). *** Gaza death toll surges to 38,443 over 88,481 injured GAZA, Saturday, July 13 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the documented killing of at least 61 Palestinians and the injury of 129 others, according to medical sources. Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 38,443 reported fatalities, with an additional 88,481 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children. Around 10:30 am in the morning, Israeli warplanes launched several massive airstrikes targeting the densely populated Al-Mawasi area, which is home to displaced residents from all across the Gaza Strip. The death toll of the horrific Israeli massacre in the Al-Mawasi area has risen sharply, with more than 71 people confirmed dead and over 289 injured, including many in critical condition (later updates included 79 deaths). Ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews. Y.S. *** Israeli genocidal airstrike in Dair El-Bala'h kills 5 Palestinians, including 2 children GAZA, Saturday, July 13, 2024 (WAFA) - Five civilians were killed and several others injured today as the Israeli occupation forces targeted residential areas in Dair El-Bala'h, central Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources. WAFA correspondent reported that paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent retrieved five bodies, including two children, who perished after an Israeli warplane bombed a house belonging to the Al-Ra'i family in Dair El-Bala'h. The casualties were rushed to the Al-Aqsa Hospital. Simultaneously, explosions were heard near the Shuhada Junction south of Gaza City, coinciding with artillery fire from Israeli forces targeting Al-Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of the city. Further south, Israeli occupation army quadcopters opened fire on civilians near Tel Al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City, alongside artillery shelling on the Rimal neighborhood west of the city. Additionally, at least 10 civilians were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house on Twentieth Street in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip. Another strike from Israeli warplanes hit the northern area of the camp. Israeli warplanes also pounded a house near Al-Ta'hreer Station at the entrance of 'Abasan Al-Kabeera town east of Khan Younus, the southern Gaza Strip. By July 11, 2024, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has so far resulted in 38,345 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 88,295 others injured. Thousands more are feared trapped under the rubble and in streets, inaccessible to rescue and ambulance crews. M.N. *** Israeli occupation army massacres dozens of people in southern Gaza Saturday 13-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Dozens of Palestinian civilians were either killed or injured on Saturday morning when the Israeli occupation army bombed Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip. A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli army committed a massacre in Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younus, when it attacked with six missiles an apartment building belonging to the family of Al-Shoarbaji. The Israeli occupation army also reportedly bombed tents sheltering dozens of displaced families in the same area. According to initial information from medical sources, the Israeli attack killed and wounded over 100 people, while media sources said that 70 people were martyred and dozens were injured (later other media updated to 71 killed, and 289 injured). Civil defense and medical crews have embarked on evacuating the casualties from the bombed area, which is crammed with displaced people, to the Kuwait field hospital. There are a number of civil defense rescuers among the casualties, according to the Government Media Office. *** Death toll surges to 71 following horrific Israeli massacre in Al-Mawasi GAZA, Saturday, July 13, 2024 (WAFA) – The death toll of the horrific Israeli massacre in Al-Mawasi region south of the Gaza Strip has risen sharply, with more than 71 people confirmed dead and over 289 injured, including many in critical condition, according to local medical sources. Around 10:30 am in the morning, Israeli warplanes launched several massive airstrikes targeting the densely populated Al-Mawasi area, which is home to displaced residents from all across the Gaza Strip. The attacks initially resulted in the killing of dozens of civilians who were subsequently transported to the Nasser Medical Complex, with over 100 others injured, some critically. Reports indicate that the Israeli military committed a major massacre by shelling refugee camps in the region, resulting in hundreds of casualties, including members of the civil defense. Rescue teams continue to retrieve dozens of casualties from the sites of the bombings. Local health authorities warned that the region's hospitals are incapable of accommodating the large number of casualties, exacerbated by the destruction of Gaza's healthcare infrastructure by the Israeli occupation forces. Al-Mawasi has been designated as a safe humanitarian zone by the Israeli army, which has been demanding Palestinians from all over the Gaza Strip to move to the area—falsely claiming the area was a safe have—since the outbreak of the war in early October 2023. M.N. *** New Israeli massacre claims the lives of 20 Palestinians in Al-Shati refugee camp Saturday 13-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) 20 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing of Al-Shati refugee camp at noon Saturday, local sources reported. They said that Israeli warplanes fired a number of missiles at worshipers while praying at a tent mosque in western Gaza. The PIC correspondent said that 20 citizens were martyred while dozens were injured in the airstrike that came as the citizens were performing the noon prayer. He noted that camp residents set up the tent mosque after Israeli forces destroyed all mosques in the Shati refugee camp. Camp residents rushed to evacuate the dead bodies and rescue the wounded in the second Israeli massacres in Gaza Strip on Saturday morning. Note: early reports included 17 of the worshippers were killed and 10 were injured. *** In new Israeli massacre, 17 civilians killed and others injured in Al-Shati refugee camp GAZA, Saturday, July 13 2024 (WAFA) – In a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation tanks and artillery, at least 17 civilians were killed and dozens were injured this afternoon in the Al-Shati refugee camp to the west of Gaza City. Local sources reported that the occupation warplanes targeted a prayer hall near the White Mosque in the camp, resulting in the killing of at least 17 civilians and the wounding of others, including children and women. The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has so far resulted in 38,345 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 88,295 others injured. Thousands more are feared trapped under the rubble and in streets, inaccessible to rescue and ambulance crews.
