July 10, 2024
Editor's Notes:
Here are some
initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli
war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza Strip, based on the
By July 10, 2024,
the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the
Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza
Strip is
45,295+.
This includes the accounted for deaths (38,295), those who are still missing under the rubble (a corrected estimate, on April 18, 2024: 7,000+).
By May 25, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them.
By March 4, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them (May 25, 2024), destroyed 155 health institutions, 32 hospitals, 53 health centers, 126 ambulances, displaced 1.9 million Palestinians, and destroyed 360,000 housing units, about and 60% of the buildings and infrastructure in Gaza Strip.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. In a statement on Wednesday, 'Hamas recounted a series of violations that were published about Israeli soldiers’ confessions on their brutal practices based on a green light from Israeli officials. The statement highlighted, among many other crimes, shooting civilians as well as burning and destroying homes in Gaza as a method of entertainment. 'Hamas said that the confessions represent a documented official recognition of Israeli systematic war crimes in the Strip, which requires a serious follow-up by the ICC’s public prosecutor. 'Hamas stressed that these practices represent a badge of shame for the international community because of its failure to halt the ongoing Israeli genocidal war which has been ongoing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for nine months. *** Lazzarini: Two thirds of UNRWA schools in Gaza bombed by Israel, targeting displaced Palestinians Wednesday 10-July-2024 NEW YORK, (PIC) Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, said that two thirds of the agency’s schools in Gaza Strip have been bombed by Israel during its ongoing war on the enclave. He said in a statement on X platform on Wednesday that four schools were bombed in the last four days. “Schools have gone from safe places of education and hope for children to overcrowded shelters and often ending up a place of death and misery,” he added. “Nine months in, under our watch, the relentless, endless killings, destruction and despair continue. Gaza is no place for children. The blatant disregard of international humanitarian law cannot become the new normal.” Lazzarini concluded saying, “Ceasefire now before we lose what is left of our common humanity.” The US-backed Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has entered its ninth month killing and wounding more than 125,000 citizens, most of them women and children. The war which was launched on October 7, 2023, has also led to vast destruction in the enclave’s infrastructure and destroyed more than 70% of its buildings. *** Released prisoner I'bayyat: Bin-Gvir stepped on me in Ofer prison Wednesday 10-July-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The released Palestinian prisoner, Mu'aadth I'bayyat, said that the Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Bin-Gvir, stepped on him, on December 4, 2023, while he was in 'Ofer prison in the West Bank. I'bayyat added in press statements after his release that he was severely beaten late October in Israeli prisons. The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that I'bayyat survived murder attempts more than once during his detention. I'bayyat, who is from Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), was released on Tuesday and appeared on media in a too thin and exhausted body and was moving with difficulty. Upon his release, he told Al-Jazeera TV that he was subjected to severe torture inside Ofer Prison. I'bayyat had been held captive for nine months in administrative detention and was released from the Negev prison in a bad health condition, although he did not suffer any health problems before his arrest. The PPS held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the status in which I'bayyat was released from Israeli jails. The PPS renewed its appeal to international human rights groups “to assume their responsibilities towards the ongoing Israeli war of genocide and crimes against prisoners.” The PPS revealed that the number of administrative detainees in Israeli jails amounted to 3,380 detainees, including women and children. Bin-Gvir had previously demanded enforcing death penalty against the Palestinian prisoners to resolve the problem of crowded prisons. *** 'Hamas: Israeli jails are worse than Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib Wednesday 10-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas Movement has said that the horrific testimonies provided by Gazan detainees who were released recently and the signs of torture on their bodies confirm the enormity of the serious violations and heinous crimes that are committed in Israeli jails and detention centers. “What prisoner Mu'aadth Abiyat said about terrorist Ben Gvir’s participation in brutal torture sessions himself reflects the level of sadism he has, along with members of this government that is mired in extremism and fascism,” 'Hamas said. “What our prisoners are facing in Israeli jails has exceeded all the brutality that was used with the detainees in the prisons of Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib,” Hamas added. The Movement stressed the need for urgent action by the international community, the International Court of Justice, the UN and their institutions to delegate committees to visit Israel’s detention centers and jails and investigate the reported violations and hold Israeli leaders accountable for their crimes against prisoners. *** Euro-Med: Israel uses displaced Gazans as a political pressure tool Wednesday 10-July-2024 GENEVA, (PIC) The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has accused the Israeli army of using the displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip as a tool of political pressure and blackmail through expanding the circle of killing, starving and targeting them in the midst of ceasefire talks. In a statement on Wednesday, Euro-Med said that the Israeli occupation army systematically targets shelter centers and the areas around them, carries out mass killing operations against displaced families and civilians, prevents those were forcibly displaced from returning to their homes, persists in starving them and depriving them of basic needs that are indispensable for survival, and bans the entry of humanitarian aid. Euro-Med described such Israeli practices against the civilians in Gaza as “insistence on committing the crime of genocide against them with all means.” “At around 6:55 p.m. yesterday, Israeli aircraft fired several missiles at a group of residents and displaced people, who have been exhausted by repeated forced displacement and movement from one place to another, at the Gate of Al-'Awda School in 'Abasan Al-Kabeera town in eastern Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip — which is sheltering thousands of forcibly displaced people,” Euro-Med said. Euro-Med said the Israeli attack on this school killed at least 32 civilians, including many children and women with some of them shattered into pieces, and injured more than 50 others. Euro-Med said that its initial information, which was obtained after inspecting fragments of the bombs used in the attack on this school confirmed they were US-made missiles, which had been repeatedly used in a number of previous mass killing operations against Gaza civilians. Euro-Med denounced “the international silence over Israel’s genocidal crimes that have been taking place since last October.” *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn July 10, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 4 massacres, in which 52 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 208 others were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 38,295 and the injuries to 88,241, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. *** Gaza death toll surges to 38,295, over 88,241 injured GAZA, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the documented killing of at least 52 Palestinians and the injury of 208 others, according to medical sources. M.N. *** US-backed Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters day 278 Wednesday 10-July-2024 GAZA, (PIC) As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 278 on Wednesday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians, especially in northern Gaza.
