While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

UNRWA: 84% of health facilities in Gaza affected by Israeli aggression

Tuesday 6-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Tuesday that “84% of health facilities in Gaza have been affected by (Israeli) attacks.”

Due to continued bombardment and access restrictions, only 4 out of 22 UNRWA health facilities are still operational, the UN agency added.

Since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster.

The Israeli occupation destroyed the supplies of fuel, electricity, water, and food for the people of the Gaza Strip at the start of the conflict. It also bombed bakeries, factories, stores, water stations, tanks, and other infrastructure.

Guterres appoints independent panel to assess UNRWA

Tuesday 6-February-2024, GENEVA, (PIC)

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, announced on Monday the appointment of an independent “neutral” panel to assess the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in response to the Israeli accusations against its staff members in the Gaza Strip.

The independent panel will be led by former French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, who will work with three European research organizations: the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Sweden, the Mikkelsen Institute in Norway, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, Guterres elaborated.

Earlier on Monday, Meanwhile, Spain’s foreign minister, José Manuel Albares, said his government will give 3.5m euros ($3.8m) to the agency to help it maintain its activities in the short term.

Since October 7, Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating genocidal war and ground assault on Gaza, killing at least 27,478 people, mostly women and children, according to Palestinian authorities.

More than 85 percent of Gaza’s population has been displaced and vast swathes of the territory have been reduced to rubble during the Israeli aggression.

Hamas confirms positive response to captive deal

Tuesday 6-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement announced in a statement issued Tuesday evening that it had delivered its response regarding the framework agreement to Qatar and Egypt.

“The Hamas Movement recently delivered its response regarding the framework agreement to the brothers in Qatar and Egypt, after completing leadership consultations in the Movement and with the resistance factions,” the statement reads.

“The Movement dealt with the proposal in a positive spirit, ensuring a comprehensive and complete ceasefire, ending the aggression against our people, ensuring relief, shelter, and reconstruction, lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, and completing a prisoner exchange,” the statement continues.

The statement comes as the US Secretary of State and Qatari prime minister broke the news during a joint news conference in Doha.

Qatar’s prime minister Shaikh Mu'hammed bin Abdul Ra'hman bin Jasim Al-Thani welcomed Hamas’s “positive” response to a possible new cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

“We received Hamas’ response to the framework agreement,” Shaikh Mu'hammed bin Abdul Ra'hman bin Jasim Al-Thani said.

“The Hamas response contains notes but is generally positive,” he added.

The Qatari premier cited progress in the negotiations, but declined to provide further details. “We seek to reach an agreement as soon as possible in cooperation with our partners in Cairo and Washington,” he said. “The war in Gaza must end, and we do not want an escalation in the region or a threat to international navigation.”

Euro-Med: Detainees kidnaped from Gaza faced grave Israeli violations

Tuesday 6-February-2024, GENEVA, (PIC)

New testimonies received by Euro-Med Human Right Monitor from recently released Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip, including women and children, have revealed their exposure to torture and ill-treatment by the Israeli occupation army.

Euro-Med Monitor cited revelations of crimes such as forced nudity, sexual harassment, and threats of sexual torture, and called for urgent international action to stop these violations.

“Testimonies from a group of recently released detainees who spent varying lengths of time in Israeli jails and detention centers were provided to the Euro-Med Monitor team. These individuals confirmed that they were subjected to severe beatings, dog attacks, strip searches, and denial of food and bathroom access, among other cruel practices that amount to torture.”

The most disturbing testimonies Euro-Med received concern female detainees who were directly sexually harassed.

Euro-Med quoted those female detainees, who preferred to remain unidentified due to safety concerns, as saying that “Israeli soldiers had harassed them by touching their genitals as well as making them remove their headscarves.”

Additionally, Euro-Med confirmed that “the soldiers forced the female detainees and their families into providing information about others by threatening to indecently assault and even rape them.”

A 70-year-old man who requested anonymity spoke with a Euro-Med team as well. “[Israeli soldiers] took me from my house in the neighborhood of Al-Amal in Khan Yunis,” the man, identified only as “M.N,” stated. “I told them that I was sick and could not move, but they did not care. They forced me to take off my clothes. They took me to a demolished house; I had the impression that I was used as a human shield.”

M.N. explained that the Israeli soldiers made more arrests later on and “led us to a detention facility that was nothing more than an iron cage for severe torture”. He spent 10 days confined to the prison.

“We were subjected to daily insults and beatings,” M.N. added. “We went four days without drinking [anything]. They poured water on the ground in front of us as a form of torture. We were made to sit on our knees, given little food, and only allowed to use the restroom once.”

“They asked us to evacuate, so I left with my family west of Khan Younus (Khan Yunis),” reported another man, identified only as “K.H.N.” due to safety concerns. “[Israeli soldiers] arrested me at the checkpoint and forced me to take off my clothes. I was severely beaten. Blankets soaked with water were draped over us. We did not drink any water and were abnormally cold.”

K.H.N. stated that the Israeli army “later transferred us to another place, where we were subjected to another form of torture. Every new place had a unique method of torture. I was struck in the head by an officer, who continued to hit me after I complained.” The severe cold prevented him from falling asleep, he told Euro-Med.

“They arrested me from Bait Lahya (Beit Lahia), and forced me to completely undress,” a third man, identified as “M.W.”, told Euro-Med. “They detained me in an open area and severely beat me; I felt their hands scour my body. After severely beating me with rugs and rifle butts, they hung me by my legs. I was exposed to severe beatings for 4 to 6 hours [per day].”

He added: “They threatened to rape my family, and asked for information that I did not know. They forced us to insult certain factions and personalities, to support Israel, and to say that the dog that was attacking us was ‘a crown on our heads.’”

“They arrested me at the checkpoint on Salah al-Din Road,” a woman, identified as “G” told Euro-Med. “They asked me to head to a sand berm, where they blindfolded me, searched me with their hands, and asked me about Hamas and the tunnels.”

“Then they moved me to an open area, then [transferred] me to a detention center, where I was forced to take off my clothes,” G said further. “They provided me with nothing but [house clothes] and no underwear.”

The woman told Euro-Med that she was questioned multiple times while in custody. “Every time I was stripped nude, with the female soldiers putting their hands on me, while male soldiers occasionally made rude comments, harsh insults that I cannot [repeat], and rape threats.”

According to Euro-Med, a recent report by Israel’s own media on the detention center housing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip shows that Israel practices systematic torture, in violation of human rights agreements that were explicitly designed and implemented to prevent torture. The report shows detainees being shackled and forced to sit on the ground in iron animal-like cages — in accordance to Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant’s October 2023 remarks that the Palestinians in Gaza are “human animals.”

Euro-Med accused the Israeli occupation forces of forcibly hiding Palestinian detainees and subjecting them to brutal violence and even severe torture from the very first moment of their arrest right up until the moment of release.

Euro-Med also accused the Israeli occupation authority of refusing requests from multiple human rights groups, including Israeli ones, seeking information about Gazan detainees.

“Detainees from the Gaza Strip are being held in newly-established Israeli army detention facilities scattered throughout the Negev and Jerusalem, where they endure severe abuse, torture, and starvation,” Euro-Med said.

Euro-Med pointed out that the number of detainees from Gaza is not known accurately. “The Israeli army recently claimed that there are 2,300 detainees in Gaza; however, estimates based on the testimonies of those released suggest that the actual number of detainees is much higher. One detainee said that Israeli officers had personally informed them that there are thousands of Gazan detainees.”

“Israel’s Sde Teman army camp, located between Beersheba and Gaza, has been turned into a Guantánamo-like prison,” Euro-Med said. “Detainees there are held in extreme conditions akin to open-air chicken cages, without access to food or drink for long periods of time.

Euro-Med highlighted testimonies it had received about the death of two detainees, one of them with an amputated foot, inside the Sde Teman camp.

Euro-Med called on Israel “to promptly reveal the names, whereabouts, and fate of all forcibly disappeared detainees, and to immediately stop its policy of torture and ill-treatment of Palestinian detainees.”

Euro-Med emphasized that “Israel’s ruthless assaults on Palestinian detainees, which violate their dignity and purposefully cause them great pain and suffering, are tantamount to crimes against humanity and/or torture, which fall under the purview of war crimes and crimes against humanity as defined by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.”

Euro-Med stated that “these breaches are related to Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023. Specifically, the killing of Palestinian detainees inside detention centers is considered to be a crime of premeditated murder and an extrajudicial execution. This type of killing is prohibited by international law, especially international human rights law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law, which considers intentionally killing civilians a war crime, according to the Rome Statute.”

“International law also prohibits arbitrary arrest and unlawful imprisonment, and considers them to be war crimes,” Euro-Med noted. “International law forbids detaining and arresting someone and depriving them of their freedom by failing to provide any information about their whereabouts or fate in an effort to deny them legal protection for an extended period of time. According to the Rome Statute, enforced disappearance is considered a crime against humanity.”

The Geneva-based rights group called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to shoulder its responsibilities and work on confirming and exposing the detention conditions of Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention camps and jails.

Euro-Med also called on the Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, and the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention to launch an urgent and impartial investigation into Israel’s egregious violations in Gaza. “This investigation is needed to probe the Israeli army’s liquidation of Palestinian civilians after their arrest in different areas of the Gaza Strip, to hold those responsible accountable, and to provide justice to all survivors as well as the families of victims.”

OCHA: War crimes fears over Israeli ground invasion of Rafah

NEW YORK, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 (WAFA) -

Any move by Israel to extend its full-scale invasion of Gaza into the massively overcrowded southern city of Rafa'h could lead to war crimes which must be prevented at all costs, the UN aid coordination office, OCHA, said on Tuesday.

“We as the UN and Member States of the UN can bear witness,” OCHA spokesperson Jens Laerke told journalists in Geneva. “We can make clear what the law says… under international humanitarian law, indiscriminate bombing of densely populated areas may amount to war crimes.”

The development came as OCHA reported an increase in Israeli strikes in the Rafa'h governorate on Sunday and Monday. At the same time, thousands of Gazans continue to flood into Rafah, including many who have fled intense fighting in Khan Younus.

The result of this exodus is that the Rafa'h population has increased fivefold since the Israeli aggression on the enclave began on 7 October.

“To be clear, intensified hostilities in Rafa'h in this situation could lead to large-scale loss of civilian lives and we must do everything possible within our power to avoid that,” Laerke said.

Confirming accounts of ongoing heavy fighting in Khan Younus, Tommaso Della Longa from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) reported that 8,000 Gazans who had been sheltering at Al Amal hospital had left the facility on Monday, after Israeli authorities guaranteed safe passage.

Despite this positive development, the situation in Gaza is “beyond catastrophic…a nightmare” that continues to get worse, the IFRC spokesperson said, as he mourned the death of aid worker, Hidaya 'Hamad, from the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), killed during shelling at Al Amal hospital compound last Friday.

“In the last more than two weeks the hospital was surrounded by heavy shelling, fighting, no way in, no way out, (it was) hit several times and the last time was last Friday when this colleague was killed,” Della Longa said, as he described desperate shortages of medicine, food and water and the “almost impossible” task of replenishing stocks and of gaining access for ambulances.

Almost 100 people remain inside the ailing health facility including elderly patients and others with disabilities who could not be moved, along with staff and volunteers.

“I don’t want even to think about the possibility of whether Al Amal will close in the next coming days,” said the IFRC spokesperson, noting that the same scenario had played out at another hospital, Al Quds, in Gaza City, which the PCRS declared closed on 12 November. “The reality is that if the situation does not change, it will be very difficult to continue the activities in the hospital.”

Twenty civilians were killed and injured in an Israeli bombardment of a house east of the Jabalya refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that 14 citizens were killed and others were injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted the 'Hinnawi School in Khan Younus, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Day 123: “Especially In Gaza City, Israeli Missiles Kill Dozens Of Palestinians”

 IMEMC, FEB 6, 2024

As the Israeli onslaught on the Palestinians in the devastated and destroyed Gaza Strip entered its 123rd day, Israeli missiles and shells killed and injured dozens of Palestinians, especially children and women, mainly in Gaza City and its surrounding areas.

Media sources said the Israeli army fired barrages of missiles and shells at homes in the Sabra and the Zaytoun neighborhoods in Gaza City, killing more than ten Palestinians, and wounding dozens, including women and children.

The sources added that the slain Palestinians were in four homes in the two neighborhoods when the army bombed them.

In addition, Israeli war jets fired a missile at a home in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, in Gaza City, killing five Palestinians and wounding fifteen, mostly women and children.

The Israeli Air Force also fired missiles at homes in the Ansar area, Abu Mazin Junction area, and the Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City, causing many casualties, while the Israeli tanks and the soldiers prevented Palestinian ambulances and rescue teams from reaching the bombarded areas, and fired live rounds at them.

In related news, the Israeli soldiers abducted dozens of Palestinians in the Universities Area, west of Gaza City, cuffed and blindfolded them before moving them to an unknown destination.

Eyewitnesses said the abducted Palestinians are between the ages of 15 and 65, and that it remains unknown where the soldiers are talking them to.

It is worth mentioning that the army abducted hundreds of Palestinian from the Gaza Strip since it began the ground offensive in Gaza on October 27, and continues to deny requests by local and international human rights groups regarding their conditions, whereabouts and full lists of their names.

Furthermore, the army fired missiles and shells around the Nasir Hospital, west of Khan Younus, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported injuries in the medical center and said that the debris from missiles struck areas inside its yards and outer buildings.

Also in Khan Younus, six Palestinians were killed and many were injured when the army fired missiles at an apartment building for the Al-Khateeb family in 'Hamad City, northwest of the city.

Furthermore, Israeli Navy ships fired live rounds at Palestinians who fled their homes and were trying to shelter near the Khan Younus shore.

In addition, the Israeli bombing and resulting massive destruction of infrastructure resulted in flooding tents of hundreds of families with sewage water in several parts of Rafa'h City, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In related news, the “Israel Today” media agency said Israel is weighing the possibility of transferring the Palestinians who fled to Rafa'h, back to areas in northern Gaza, starting with women and children, without specifying the fate of men, and added that this move won’t be before next month.

Egypt recently sent messages to Israel refusing the transfer of the Palestinians from Gaza to Sinai and said that such a move could jeopardize the Israeli-Egyptian peace agreement.

Egypt is concerned that Israel is planning to force hundreds of thousands of Palestinians out of Gaza and into Sinai as part of the Israeli plan to control the Gaza Strip, while it is expanding the offensive and concentrating it in Rafa'h, especially since Israel is planning to control “Philadelphi Corridor,” about 14 km (8.699 miles) in length, along the border between the two countries.

The Gaza Strip lost most of its homes, buildings, and medical facilities due to the ongoing Israeli bombing, especially in northern and central Gaza; the Palestinians do not have homes or facilities to go back to.

Israeli has already displaced at least 1.8 Million Palestinians from their homes in several parts of the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, Gaza City and the central parts of the coastal enclave, and is now ongoing with its bombing, displacement and destruction in the southern parts.

Displaced yet again, more than 200.000 Palestinians, fled Khaan Younus to Rafa'h and are now facing dire condition, without services, near the border fence with Egypt.

'Haneen Al-'Athamna, who just like hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians, said that she and her family fled Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, and were displaced several times since then, until reaching the border area in Rafa'h a week earlier.

“We have no food, no medicine, no infrastructure, we have nothing here,” she said, “We only have water because their is an Egyptian waterline”./p>

A day earlier, the Israeli army bombarded the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Jabalya, in northern Gaza.

TThe Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army “committed twelve massacres against Palestinian families, killing 107 and wounding 143, mostly women and chidden, in 24 hours.

Israel’s missiles and shells have killed at least 27.565 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 66.789, including hundreds who remain in critical conditions, in the Gaza Strip since October 7. More than 8,000 Palestinians remain under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings.
