While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Guterres voices concern over Israeli intent to attack Rafa'h

Wednesday 14-February-2024, NEW YORK, (PIC)

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concern on Tuesday about the intended Israeli ground assault on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, where there are more than one million civilians seeking refuge from the war.

“My sincere hope is that the negotiations for the release of hostages and some form of cessation of hostilities to be successful to avoid all-out offensive over Rafa'h where the core of the humanitarian system is located and that would have devastating consequences,” Guterres told reporters ahead of a UN Security Council meeting.

His remarks came after a four-way meeting, attended by representatives from Egypt, the US, Israel and Qatar, began Tuesday in Cairo to discuss a truce in Gaza.

“I am particularly worried with the deteriorating conditions and security for humanitarian aid delivery in Gaza. There is a breakdown in public order. At the same time, we have restrictions imposed by Israel that are not improved and limit humanitarian distribution,” Guterres said.

“The conflicting mechanisms to protect humanitarian aid delivery in relation to military operations are “not effective,” the UN chief added.

He also said that he is “troubled by the number of journalists that have been killed in the conflicts.” “Freedom of press is a fundamental condition for people to be able to know what’s really happening everywhere in the world.”

Israel has been pounding the Gaza Strip since a cross-border operation by Al-Qassam Brigades of 'Hamas last October, massacring at least 28,473 Palestinian civilians and injuring 68,146 others, by February 13, 2024.

The Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has pushed 85 percent of the coastal territory’s population into internal displacement, amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, and massive destruction to infrastructure and public and private property.

Rafa'h has turned into 'a de facto refugee camp': South African envoy to UN

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (WAFA) -

South Africa’s deputy permanent representative to the UN expressed concern Tuesday over a possible Israeli assault on the city of Rafa'h in the southern Gaza Strip, which is home to more than 1 million people seeking refuge from Israel’s war on the enclave.

"The announcement of expanded military operations in Rafa'h, which has turned into a de facto refugee camp, further perpetuates the displacement of Palestinians and threatens civilians’ almost non-existent livelihoods," Marthinus van Schalkwyk told a UN Security Council meeting on the maintenance of international peace and security.

This completely disregards the order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued on Jan. 26, he added.

His remarks came after South Africa asked the ICJ to urgently assess Israel's intentions to expand its military presence in Rafa'h, urging it to consider whether it required the court to use its power to prevent a further breach of Palestinians' rights.

In late 2023, South Africa filed a case at the UN court, accusing Israel of failing to uphold its commitments under the 1948 Genocide Convention.

The ICJ, in its interim January ruling, said South Africa’s claims are plausible. It ordered provisional measures for Israel’s government to desist from genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.

"This Council continues to witness the devastating effects of armed conflict on civilians, exacerbating humanitarian crises, as well as food and nutrition insecurity.

"This is a blatant disregard of international humanitarian law, especially non-protection of non-combatants caught in the crossfire, as well as the deliberate denial of access to humanitarian relief, which remains prevalent," Van Schalkwyk said.

More than half of Gaza’s population are crammed in Rafa'h, staring death in the face - UN Relief Chief

GENEVA, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 (WAFA) -

Martin Griffiths, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, warned in a statement that: “More than half of Gaza’s population – well over 1 million people – are crammed in Rafa'h, staring death in the face: They have little to eat, hardly any access to medical care, nowhere to sleep, nowhere safe to go."

"They, like the entire population of Gaza, are the victims of an assault that is unparalleled in its intensity, brutality and scope," he added.

The Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator warned that the scenario 'we have long dreaded is unraveling at an alarming speed.'

More than 28,000 people – mostly women and children – have been killed across Gaza, according to the Ministry of Health, the statement noted.

“For more than four months, humanitarian workers have been doing the near-impossible to assist people in need, despite the risks they themselves were facing and the traumas they were enduring,” he said.

“But no amount of dedication and goodwill is enough to keep millions of people alive, fed and protected – while the bombs are falling and the aid is choked off.”

Add to this the widespread despair, the breakdown of law and order, and the defunding of UNRWA, he stressed, adding that the consequences are humanitarian workers who are shot at, held at gunpoint, attacked and killed, added Griffiths.

“I have said for weeks now that our humanitarian response is in tatters," he stated “Today, I’m sounding the alarm once again: Military operations in Rafah could lead to a slaughter in Gaza. They could also leave an already fragile humanitarian operation at death’s door.” He wanted.

“We lack the safety guarantees, the aid supplies and the staff capacity to keep this operation afloat.”

He said the international community has been warning against the dangerous consequences of any ground invasion in Rafa'h, stressing that the Government of Israel cannot continue to ignore these calls.

“History will not be kind. This war must end,” he concluded.

Doctors Without Borders raises concern on the unfolding situation in Gaza hospital

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (WAFA) -

Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders, has expressed concerns about the unfolding situation in Nasir in Khan Younus, in the Gaza Strip, calling on Israeli forces to make sure people trapped inside, including medical staff and civilians are unharmed.

The organization said on X that: "We are very worried about the situation unfolding at Nasir Hospital in Khan Younus, Gaza."

"MSF calls on Israeli forces to ensure that all medical staff, patients and displaced people are unharmed," it added. "Today, Israeli forces ordered all displaced people sheltering inside Nasir hospital, the largest in southern Gaza, to evacuate the facility. Medical staff and patients were told that they may remain in the hospital with a limit of one caretaker per patient."

"People are afraid to leave the hospital because they hear reports of people being shot at. Those who wish to leave must be granted safe passage out," it explained.

Over 7,000 Palestinians detained by Israel in West Bank since October 7 - Detainees' institutions

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 (WAFA) –

Several institutions concerned with detainees’ affairs in Israeli prisons reported today that more than 7,000 Palestinians have been detained in the West Bank since the start of the comprehensive Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7, 2023.

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), and the Addhameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association said in a joint statement that the total number of women detainees amounted to about 220, including women who were detained from the 1948 territories. Over 440 children were also detained.

According to the joint statement, the occupation has detained 53 journalists, 36 of whom are still in detention, and has also placed 21 others under administrative detention.

Administrative detention orders amounted to more than 3,490 orders, including some against children and women. The orders ranged between new and renewed orders.

The statement indicated that the ongoing detention campaigns are accompanied by escalating crimes and violations, including severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to wide-scale sabotage and destruction campaigns of citizens’ homes and the seizure of vehicles, money and gold jewelry. The attacks also included extensive destruction operations that affected infrastructure, specifically in the Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps as well as in Jenin and its refugee camp.

The statement explained that the outcome of the detention campaigns after October 7 included all those who were detained from their homes, at military checkpoints and those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, in addition to those who were taken hostage.

In addition to the detention campaigns, the occupation forces carried out field executions targeting members of the detainees' families, according to the statement.

At least eight detainees were also killed in the occupation prisons after October 7, namely Omar Daraghmah from Toubas, 'Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah, Majid Zaqoul from Gaza, a fourth unidentified prisoner, Abdul Ra'hman Mar’i from Salfeet, Tha-ir Abu 'Asab from Qalqilya, Abdul Ra'hman Al-Bahsh from Nablus, and Mu'hammed Al-Sabbar from Hebron, noting that the occupation media revealed data indicating the killing of other detainees from Gaza in the “Sde Teman” camp in Beer Al-Saba' (Beersheba).

To this day, the Israeli occupation refuses to reveal any information regarding the fate of Gaza detainees, said the statement, noting that the occupation admitted to executing one detainee, in addition to data indicating the execution of other detainees from Gaza.

The statement indicated that the data related to the detention cases included those still in custody, in addition to those who were later released.

The statement said that Israel refuses to this day to reveal any data on the number of detainees from Gaza, accusing it of committing the crime of enforced disappearance against them.

The total number of detainees in the occupation prisons until the end of January exceeded 9,000 detainees, including 3,484 administrative detainees and 606 detainees from Gaza who were classified as “unlawful combatants”. These are the only numbers provided by the Israeli Prison Service (IPS).

GMO denounces targeting two members of Al-Jazeera team in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza

Tuesday 13-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli targeting of the Al-Jazeera Arabic news crew for the fifth time, leading to the serious injury of the channel’s correspondent and cameraman in Khan Younus, in southern Gaza Strip.

The GMO said, in a statement on Tuesday, Israeli airstrikes targeted Al-Jazeera tv reporter Isma'eel Abu 'Omar and cameraman A'hmed Matar, stressing that “the Israeli occupation army has deliberately targeted the channel’s teams for the fifth time in a row in a complete crime in violation of the international law.”

Al-Jazeera tv reporter Isma'eel Abu 'Omar has had his right leg and some fingers amputated, in addition to other various wounds. His colleague cameraman, A'hmed Matar, sustained various injuries, as well.

The GMO pointed out that since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has killed 128 journalists, abducted 10, and injured many others, stressing that this indicates that journalists have become targets of the Israeli occupation army.

The GMO called on press unions, media agencies, and human rights groups to denounce this crime and to pressure Israel to stop targeting journalists and to halt its genocidal war against civilians.

Al-Resheq: 'Hamas reveals positions timely through leadership and official statements

Wednesday 14-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

'Izzat Al-Resheq, a member of the Political Bureau of 'Hamas, has warned against circulating unfounded rumors regarding the Movement’s positions on negotiations and Palestinian arrangements.

In a brief statement on Tuesday, the 'Hamas leader said that there are many rumors being circulated by some media outlets from various sources, discussing the Hamas positions regarding negotiations or Palestinian arrangements.

He emphasized the need for attention and caution, as the official and approved positions of the Movement are expressed at the appropriate time through the leadership of the Movement and its official statements.

Isma'eel Haniyya, the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, had earlier affirmed that the position of the Movement and the Palestinian resistance is that any agreement must guarantee a ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupying army from the Gaza Strip, and the achievement of a serious and significant prisoner exchange deal. He considered that the basis for stability in the region is ending the occupation and achieving the rights of the Palestinian people to their land and holy sites.

Hamas leader Osama 'Hamdan, for his part, said in his press conference in Beirut on Monday evening: “We are engaged in difficult negotiations on multiple tracks, and we deal responsibly with all initiatives and efforts that meet the aspirations of our people in the Gaza Strip, in order to stop the aggression, end the siege, achieve relief, reconstruction, and the liberation of prisoners in the enemy’s jails.”

Hamas calls for immediate int’l action to protect displaced Gazans

Tuesday 13-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has called on the UN, the World Health Organization and the Red Cross to take immediate action to protect the displaced civilians in Gaza and the besieged Nasir Hospital, saying that the medical facility is minimally functional and exposed to repeated attacks by the Israeli occupation forces.

“Deploying Israeli forces near the Nasir Hospital’s northern gate and ordering the displaced citizens to leave the facility portends the premeditated intent of the terrorist Zionist occupation to commit a crime against the citizens sheltering in the hospital, which came under constant fire from murderous and fascist Israeli snipers over the past days,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.

In another statement, 'Hamas strongly denounced the deliberate Israeli drone attack on two Palestinian journalists working for Al Jazeera satellite channel in Gaza today, describing it as a “systematic practice aimed at dissuading journalists from covering the occupation’s crimes in Gaza.”

The Movement called on international human rights organizations to condemn this “heinous crime,” and urged the International Court of Justice to document it and other crimes as a prelude to prosecuting Israeli war criminals.

ýAll of them were martyred. A citizen brought bread to his family but found no one to eat itý

ýGaza 13-2-2024 Wafa -

Na'eem Abu Al-Sha'ar (58 years old) did not imagine that a tragedy awaited him when he returned home after buying bread to feed his family members, as a result of a raid launched by the Israeli occupation aircraft that targeted his home in Dair El-Bala'h, in the central Gaza Strip.ý

ýIn the early morning hours, Abu Al-Sha'ar went out alone in the cold, to prepare a little bread from one of the city's ovens, to eat breakfast with his children and wifeýý.ýý But when he returned to his home, he found himself in front of a scene he could not imagine, as the house, which was considered a haven for him and his family, was reduced to rubble and rubble, and those inside were martyred and injured, as a result of an Israeli raid on itýý.ý

ýFrom the first glance of Abu Al-Sha'ar at his house from afar, he took quick steps, leaving bread behind, and went to find out the fate of his family members after the house was bombed and completely destroyedýý.ý

ýAs Abu Al-Sha'ar went to check on what happened to his family, he found among the rubble next to his house the body of his daughter, and his words shook with sadness as he shouted, "Amal Yaba... Amal Yaba, its length (directed it)... Yaba, where are my children?, they were all home."ý

ýThese tragic scenes prompted the residents and relatives of the neighborhood to turn towards him, in a state of deep sadness, in order to support him despite the severe pain they sufferedýý.ý

ýOn top of the rubble of the house, a number of young men tried to remove the rubble and search for the bodies of the martyrs who rose in that raid, using simple toolsýý.ýý During the rubble search, they were able to find a woman with signs of aging on her hands, indicating that she is elderlyýý.ý

ýOne of the young men who is searching for the bodies among the ruins said, "She is the mother of Abu Al-Sha'ar."ý

ýThe Israeli raid was not limited to Abu Al-Sha'ar's house only, but also hit many citizens' homes, killing 15 martyrs and wounding dozens of others, according to eyewitnessesýý.ý ý ýýAs soon as Abu Al-Sha'ar finished checking on his house, he rushed to the city's Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital to check on his family members and know their fateýý.ý

ýWhen he arrived at the hospital, he discovered that everyone in the house had been martyred, including children, women and the elderly, with 15 martyrs from the Abu al-Shaar family and families living in adjacent buildingsýý.ý

ýInside the hospital, one of the young men carried a small child among the martyrs of the Israeli raid that targeted Abu Al-Sha'ar's house, and said in a loud voice, signs of sadness and anger appearing on him: "God suffices and yes the agent."ý

ýAs soon as he carried it, journalists began taking photos and videos documenting the crimes of the Israeli occupation against children.ý

ýClose to the bodies of the ýýmartyrs who lined up in the hospital yard, the grieving citizen Abu Al-Sha'ar embraced the bodies of his family in their final farewellýý.ý

ýAs the elderly man gave farewell glances to his family members, he told reporters: "I went to get bread from 4 a.m., and I came back to find everyone in the house, women, children and the elderly, who had become martyrs."ý

ýAs soon as they finished saying goodbye, citizens began to carry the bodies for burial, in light of the filling of the cemeteries due to the large number of martyrs, and the difficulty of reaching new cemeteries due to the Israeli shellingýý.ý

ýLast Januaryýý, the Israeli ýýmilitary vehicles withdrew from the southern area of Dair Al-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip, about a month after the invasion, leaving massive destruction of infrastructure. Israeli warplanes and artillery continue to bombard the city.ý

ýBy February 13, 2024, in an inconclusive toll, the number of martyrs, who were killed in the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, rose to 28,473, in addition to 68,164 wounded. Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers

The Israeli occupation regime police allow illegal settlers to defile Al-Aqsa, bars entry of Muslim worshipers

Wednesday 14-February-2024, Al-Quds (Jerusalem), (PIC) --

The Israeli occupation regime police allowed hordes of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque in  Al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Wednesday morning and later in the afternoon, while persisting in banning Muslim worshipers from entering their holy site.

According to local sources, dozens of settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police escort.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them performed Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police prevented Muslim worshipers from entering the Islamic holy site during the settler tours and only allowed in a few numbers of elderly men for payers, especially at dawn.

Yesterday, 91 settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque under police guard, amid restrictions on the movement of Jerusalemite citizens in their holy city.

Meanwhile, Jerusalemite activists urged anew their compatriots to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque to break the siege imposed on it by the Israeli occupation police for the fifth consecutive month.

They warned that the current Israeli violations in the holy city is aimed at emptying the Aqsa Mosque of Muslim worshipers, calling for necessarily not yielding to the restrictions imposed by the Israeli police around the Aqsa Mosque and in the Old City of Jerusalem.
