While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Israel launches multiple raids on Syria

Monday 9-December-2024

DAMASCUS, (PIC)

Israeli warplanes launched overnight dozens of raids targeting about 100 sites in Syria, as Israeli forces occupied several areas in the “buffer zone.”

The Hebrew Channel Kan reported that the Israeli army attacked military sites overlooking the Golan Heights last night, claiming they were weapons depots for groups loyal to Iran in Dair Ezzoar in eastern Syria.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that Israel bombed the Scientific Research Center in the security square in Damascus, “where chemical weapons and ballistic missile programs are managed,” adding that Israeli airstrikes targeted the Mezza neighborhood in the Syrian capital.

Occupation launches a series of deadly airstrikes on northern Gaza, over 20 civilians killed

GAZA, December 9, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation Monday evening committed a new massacre in the war-torn Gaza Strip, launching a series of deadly airstrikes on civilians’ homes in Izbat Beit Hanoun in the northern Strip, resulting in the killing of several civilians and the injury of others.

Local sources reported that the occupation’s airstrikes resulted in the killing of at least 20 civilians and the injury of several others. The area remains besieged by occupation forces, preventing ambulance and rescue crews from accessing the site.

The occupation aircraft launched several raids on the refugee camps of Al-Maghazi and Al-Nusayrat in the center of the Strip. Israeli forces also blew up houses north of Al-Nusayrat.

Earlier, medical sources announced the killing of six civilians and the injury of several others in an Israeli shelling that targeted a group of citizens in the town of Bait Lahya in the north of the Strip, coinciding with the occupation’s bombardment of several houses and facilities in the town.

A civilian was shot and killed by an Israeli drone east of Khan Younus, south of the Strip. At least two children were also killed and others were injured in the Israeli occupation's shelling of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

Several civilians were also killed and others were injured in the Israeli shelling of a school sheltering displaced people in the Jabalya refugee camp.

Several other civilians were killed and injured after the occupation warplanes bombed a residential block in the vicinity of the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in the northern Strip.

The occupation’s ongoing aggression by land, sea, and air on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 44,758 people and the injury of 106,134 others.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the continued Israeli attacks and the massive amount of debris.

Casualty data in Gaza are incomplete due to the ongoing intensive Israeli aggression, the repeated and complete interruption of communication and internet services, lack of fuel and devastated infrastructure, which render it difficult to document figures.

Monday 9-December-2024

Toubas, (PIC)

Two Palestinian resistance fighters were martyred on Monday afternoon in an Israeli shelling that targeted the city of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank. Local sources confirmed the martyrdom of two young men and reported that the occupation army had seized their bodies after their martyrdom.

Israeli drones targeted a group of citizens in the Safah area, north of Tubas, leading to their martyrdom. Reports indicated that the occupation forces had prevented ambulance crews from reaching the site. Over 16 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in West Bank, including formers prisoners

RAMALLAH, December, 9, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces have detained at least 16 Palestinians from various areas of the West Bank since yesterday evening, continuing their ongoing crackdown on the local population.

According to the Palestinian Authority's Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, among the detainees was a woman and former detainees. In addition, the occupation carried out field investigations of dozens of citizens in the towns of Dura and Surif in the Hebron governorate, Ya'bad in the Jineen governorate, and Silwad in the Ramallah governorate.

The raids were accompanied by assaults, threats against detainees and their families, and widespread destruction of property, including damage to homes.

This latest wave of detentions is part of Israel's broader campaign of suppression that has escalated sharply since the beginning of its ongoing genocidal onslaught on Gaza in October 2023. Since then, over 11,900 Palestinians have been detained from the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to local authorities.

The systematic nature of these detentions is a key component of Israeli policy, with large-scale detentions being carried out as part of the ongoing military attacks.

It is important to note that the figures provided here refer only to detentions made in the West Bank, not including Gaza, where the number of detentions is also significant.

Nearly 12,000 people arrested in occupied West Bank since October 2023

Monday 9-December-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli army detained at least 16 Palestinians in military raids in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) on Monday.

A woman and ex-prisoners were among the detainees in the raids that targeted al-Khalil, Jenin, and Ramallah, the PPS said.

The new arrests brought the number of Palestinians detained by the Israeli army in the West Bank since October last year to over 12,000, including those who were released after being arrested, according to Palestinian figures.

The figure does not include those arrested from the Gaza Strip whose numbers are estimated to be in the thousands.

“The raids were marked by abuse, threats against detainees and their families, and acts of vandalism and destruction on citizens’ homes,” it added.

Over the past few years, the Israeli military has conducted regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated with the beginning of the war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.

At least 807 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,450 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

Palestinian detainees at Israeli prison of Etzion stricken with food poisoning from spoiled meals

RAMALLAH, December 9, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced on Monday that numerous Palestinian detainees at the occupation’s Etzion prison suffered severe food poisoning after consuming spoiled meals provided by the prison administration.

The commission’s lawyer, who managed to visit the facility after significant difficulty, reported that detainees suffered from intense abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, extreme weakness, yellowing of the skin, dehydration and the inability to stand. Several detainees also fainted.

The commission accused the prison authorities of deliberate abuse, stating that since the beginning of the occupation's aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Palestinian detainees have been subjected to harsher punitive measures. These include prolonged starvation, the poor quality and quantity of food and violent reprisals against detainees who protest, often leading to severe beatings and solitary confinement.

The commission urged all relevant international actors to take immediate action to end the suffering of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails and provide them with protection.

Located in the southern West Bank near northern Hebron, the Etzion Detention Center is part of the illegal Gush Etzion colonial bloc. It is considered one of the most notorious detention facilities in the world.

Meanwhile, the IOFs handed over on Monday two orders to stop construction works in the village of Yasouf, east of Salfeet, and installed an iron gate at the entrance to the village, according to local sources.

The sources reported that the IOFs stormed the village and delivered two notices to stop the construction works in an under-construction house in the Nasba area east of the village.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the IOFs carried out 52 demolition operations last November, which affected 63 facilities, including 27 inhabited homes, 2 uninhabited, and 17 agricultural facilities among others.

Most of the demolitions were concentrated in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), Al-Khaleel (Hebron), and Nablus governorates.

Israeli occupation army bans entry of baby formula to Gaza

Monday 9-December-2024

A medical source at the Nasser Hospital in the southern City of Khan Younus has said that Israeli occupation army has been denying the entry of baby formula to the Gaza Strip for around three months.

In recent remarks to Qatar News Agency, A'hmed Al-Farra, director of the Nasser Hospital’s pediatrics and maternity department, explained that some women in Gaza cannot breastfeed their babies due to their suffering from malnutrition or illness, so they resort to hazardous alternatives, such as giving infants starch or dissolved herbs instead, which pose a health risk.

Al-Farra warned that the Israeli army’s persistence in banning the entry of baby milk to Gaza puts the lives of children in great danger.

According to Palestinian official figures from Gaza, more than 3,500 Palestinian children under age five are at risk of starving to death due to Israel’s starvation policy in the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA: Nearly 1 million displaced Gazans face extreme winter cold

Monday 9-December-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Nearly one million displaced Palestinians in war-torn Gaza are at risk of extreme cold and rain this winter, the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) warned on Monday.

“Displaced people in Gaza need protection from the rain and cold. Only around 23% of this need has been met, leaving 945,000 people at risk of exposure this winter,” the UN agency said in a statement.

“Aid is urgently required to address the overwhelming needs as the crisis deepens.”

UNRWA said that Palestinian civilians in the central city of Dair El-Bala'h and across the enclave “search through the rubble of their destroyed homes, trying to salvage what little remains after an Israeli airstrike.”

“As strikes continue, civilian casualties rise, and homes and vital infrastructure are reduced to ruins,” it said.

“The human cost of this war is unbearable,” UNRWA said, reiterating its call for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza to prevent further suffering.

Israel has launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 44,700 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023.

Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.

Lazzarini: Ceasefire is crucial step to get Gaza children back to education

Monday 9-December-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said on Monday that a ceasefire in Gaza would be a crucial first step to get children back on track to education.

“In Gaza, amidst the humanitarian catastrophe, our teams have been providing back-to-learning sessions over the past four months for thousands of displaced children whose formal education was interrupted in October 2023,” Lazzarini said in a post on X.

“Through recreational activities, psychological support, and basic literacy and numeracy exercises, we are trying in the most desperate circumstances to do what we can to ensure that these children do not become a lost generation,” he added.

The UNRWA Commissioner-General explained that “the escalation in Lebanon has disrupted the start of the school year for young Palestine refugees to whom UNRWA has been providing education for decades.”

He stressed that “in the wake of the ceasefire, our teachers have worked tirelessly to get their classrooms back on track.”

The Israeli Knesset had approved in the second and third readings, on Monday, October 28, a decision to ban UNRWA from operating in areas under “Israeli sovereignty.”

The law also stipulates that “UNRWA shall not operate any representative office, provide any service, or carry out any activity, directly or indirectly, in the territory of the State of Israel.”

On November 4, Israel informed the United Nations of the cancellation of the agreement on UNRWA’s work, which means banning its activities if the decision comes into effect within three months.

UN Rapporteur: Ongoing Israeli brutality in Gaza must stop

Monday 9-December-2024

VIENNA, (PIC)

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, said that it is time to take necessary actions and do everything possible to halt the ongoing Israeli brutality in the Gaza Strip.

This was said during her speech at a conference at the University of Vienna, Austria, titled “The Israeli War: Colonial Ethnic Cleansing” a couple of days ago.

Albanese affirmed that Israel is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. She added, “What is happening in Gaza cannot simply be described as war, as there are rules for wars too; what is occurring there is total destruction.”

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 150,000 Palestinian casualties, most of whom are children and women, and over 11,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, making it one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Tel Aviv continues its massacres, ignoring arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on November 21 against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Army Minister Yoav Gallant for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza. Israel also defies the UN Security Council’s resolution to end the war immediately and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Amnesty International: Campaigners rename road outside Israeli embassy in London 'Genocide Avenue'

LONDON, December 9, 2024 (WAFA) –

Campaigners from Amnesty International UK have renamed the road outside the Israeli embassy in London “Genocide Avenue” to draw attention to mounting concerns that Israel may be committing genocide in Gaza, said Amnesty International in a press release.

The Amnesty stunt coincides with Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, providing an update to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on the situation in Gaza this morning in which she says “there are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold indicating Israel’s commission of genocide is met” in relation to Gaza, said the release.

The street renaming also took place exactly two months after the International Court of Justice said there were “plausible” grounds to suspect that Israel may be committing genocidal acts in Gaza, noted the global movement

“Amnesty’s stunt saw authentic-looking London street signs attached to lamp posts in Palace Green - the road outside the embassy in the Kensington area of west London - by a figure in a Benjamin Netanyahu face mask. Campaigners also held up placards saying “Prevent Genocide”, “We can’t say we didn’t know”, “Ceasefire NOW” and “End Israeli Apartheid”.”

Following the street renaming, campaigners attempted to hand in a letter to the embassy from Amnesty UK’s Chief Executive Sacha Deshmukh outlining the organization’s concerns over the Gaza crisis. However, police officers stationed outside the embassy informed Amnesty that the embassy would not be prepared to take delivery of the letter.

“Amnesty is calling on all parties to urgently agree a ceasefire and for Israel to lift its 17-year-long blockade on Gaza, which Amnesty has denounced as a war crime and a key part of Israel’s system of apartheid against Palestinians. Israel, as the occupying power, must also facilitate a massive emergency relief effort in Gaza, while also fully cooperating with ongoing international justice mechanisms such as the International Court of Justice genocide case and the International Criminal Court’s investigations into serious human rights violations in Israel and Palestine,” read the release.

“Israel has rejected the interim findings of the World Court but there are mounting international fears that Israel’s relentless bombing and ground attacks in Gaza as well as its refusal to allow more food and other humanitarian aid into the territory may amount to the commission of genocide in Gaza,” it concluded.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
