In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

by Israeli Occupation Regime Forceshttp://english.wafa.ps/, https://english.palinfo.com/, https://imemc.org/, https://paltoday.ps/ar/ *** US, Britain launch fresh airstrike on Yemeni capital Sanaa, Houthis say Airstrike targets September 21 Park in San'a, according to Houthi-run media SANAA, Yemen -- The Yemeni Houthi group reported a fresh US-British airstrike on the capital San'a on Friday evening, amid regional tensions over Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. The 'Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said the attack targeted the September 21 Park in the Ma'aeen district of San'a. The broadcaster, however, didn't provide details about injuries or damage from the strike. There was no immediate comment from Washington or London on the report. The attack came one day after Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on San'a and the coastal province of Al-Hudayidah in western Yemen on Thursday. The 'Houthis have targeted Israeli cargo ships or those associated with Tel Aviv in the Red Sea with missiles and drones in a show of support with the Gaza Strip, where over 45,400 people have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war since Oct. 7, 2023. Since the beginning of 2024, a coalition led by the US has been conducting airstrikes that it said are targeting 'Houthi locations in parts of Yemen. The counterattacks have been occasionally met with retaliation from the group. ***WHO chief recounts narrow escape at Yemen airport hit by Israeli missile By Scott Neuman NPR, December 28, 2024 WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus looks on during a press conference with the Association of Accredited Correspondents at the United Nations (ACANU) at the World Health Organization's headquarters in Geneva, on December 10, 2024. The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, says he and his United Nations colleagues "escaped death narrowly" at Yemen's main airport when Israeli airstrikes targeted the facility. Speaking with the BBC, Tedros described the scene at the airport during the Thursday attack as "very chaotic." "People were in disarray and running everywhere," he told Radio 4's Today program on Saturday. The WHO chief said he and his team were "completely exposed" and that it was "a matter of luck, otherwise if the missile deviated just slightly it could have been on our heads." Tedros had been waiting to board a flight in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, when the Israeli missile struck. When the airport came under attack, one of the U.N. plane's crew was injured. At least three others at the airport were reported killed. Video of the airport shows U.N. officials trying to spirit Tedros to safety. Israel's military said the attack was aimed at infrastructure used by Yemen's Houthi rebels and Iran. Israel said it wasn't aware that the U.N. delegation was at Sanaa airport at the time of the strike. ***YAF say attacked Ben Gurion Airport, vital Israeli site, ship By Al-Mayadeen English 27 December 2024 YAF spokesperson Ya'hya Saree' says the latest Israeli aggression on Yemen will only strengthen the resolve and determination of the Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people. A mock missile bearing a portrait of martyred 'Hizbullah chief Al-Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah is placed in front of demonstrators during a rally by university students and faculty denouncing strikes on Yemen and in solidarity with Palestinians, in the capital San'a, on December 25, 2024. (AFP) The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) carried out a top-tier military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied Yafa region with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, spokesperson Brigadier General Ya'hya Saree' announced on Friday. The missile successfully reached its target despite the enemy’s attempts to conceal it and resulted in casualties and the suspension of airport operations, Saree confirmed. He also said that the YAF's UAV Force conducted a military operation targeting a vital Israeli site in the occupied Yafa region (Tel Aviv) using a drone, which achieved its objective successfully. Moreover, the UAV Force carried out another operation targeting the ship Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea east of Socotra Island using several drones, achieving a direct hit, the spokesperson confirmed. The targeting of the ship came after its owning company violated the ban imposed by the YAF on entering the ports of occupied Palestine, Saree said. He indicated that the three operations were in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance and in response to the massacres in Gaza, and were part of the fifth phase of the operations in support of Gaza and in retaliation for the Israeli aggression against Yemen. On Thursday, the Israeli occupation launched a large-scale attack on Yemen while the leader of the Ansarullah Movement, Al-Sayyid 'Abdul Malik Al-'Houthi, was delivering his speech. A source told Al-Mayadeen that the Israeli aggression on San'a and Al-'Hudayidah targeted civilian facilities and was carried out with the US and UK's coordination and support. The source also said that targeting civilian facilities is evidence of the occupation's failure to have a clear target list within the country, stressing that this "will not change the course of the war and will be met with a similar response." Al-Mayadeen's correspondent, in turn, also confirmed that the Israeli occupation's aggression targeted a gathering of travelers, including patients, at the San'a International Airport terminal, and also targeted airport control towers. Touching on the aggression, Saree underlined that it will only strengthen the resolve and determination of the Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the YAF possess the capabilities to expand their target bank in occupied Palestine to include more vital Israeli targets, affirming that these operations will not cease until the Israeli aggression on Gaza is halted and the siege imposed on the Palestinian strip is lifted. ***Israeli airstrikes hit a Yemen airport as a jet with hundreds onboard was landing, UN official says Associated Press, December 27, 2024 UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Israeli airstrikes hit Yemen’s main airport as a civilian Airbus 320 with hundreds of passengers on board was landing and a U.N. delegation was waiting to leave, the U.N.'s top humanitarian official in Yemen said Friday. Julien Harneis told U.N. reporters that the most frightening thing about the two airstrikes on Thursday wasn’t their effect on him and about 15 others in the VIP lounge at the international airport in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, including the head of the U.N. World Health Organization. Rather, it was the destruction of the airport control tower as a Yemenia Airways plane was taxiing in after touching down. “Fortunately, that plane was able to land safely and the passengers were able to disembark, but it could have been far, far worse,” said Harneis, who was with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in the lounge. He said one airstrike landed approximately 300 meters (330 yards) south of the VIP lounge and another about 300 meters to the north around 4:45 p.m., while about five members of the U.N. team were outside the building. “Not only obviously did we have zero indication of any potential airstrikes, but we cannot remember the last time there were airstrikes in Sanaa during daylight hours,” Harneis said in a video news conference from San'a. The U.N. said at least three people were killed and dozens injured in the strike. Among the injured was a crew member from the U.N. Humanitarian Air Service, which was about to fly the U.N. delegation of some 20 people out of San'a. He suffered a serious leg injury from shrapnel and lost a lot of blood, Harneis said. Immediately after the airstrikes, Harneis said, U.N. security officials moved the delegation out of the VIP building and into five armored cars where they waited for approximately 40 minutes to ascertain what happened and help the injured crew member. He was taken to a hospital in San'a and underwent four hours of surgery while the rest of the delegation spent the night in a U.N. compound, Harneis said. The U.N. plane with Tedros and the U.N. team, including the injured crew member, was able to depart for Jordan on Friday afternoon – without an operating control tower. The United Nations said the injured crew member was taken to a hospital in Jordan, and Tedros was heading back to Geneva, where WHO is based, Yemen’s Iran-backed 'Houthi rebels, who control San'a and much of the country’s north, have gone after Israel since it started attacking Gaza following the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks by Gaza’s Hamas militants on southern Israel. The 'Houthis have attacked ships in the Red Sea, disrupting one of the world’s main maritime routes, and recently stepped up missile and drone attacks on Israel. Early Saturday, the Israeli Air Force reported intercepting yet another missile from Yemen, as sirens woke Israelis around Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Israel has escalated its response. The Israeli army said it wasn’t aware that the WHO chief or U.N. delegation were at the Sanaa airport on Thursday. Israel said it bombed the airport because it is used by the Houthis and Iran. Harneis responded, stressing that the airport is civilian, not military, and is used for transporting U.N. and other humanitarian workers, and for one civilian flight — Yemenia to and from Amman, Jordan. The flight operates as a result of an international agreement, and thousands of Yemenis have used the flight to get advanced medical treatment abroad, he said. Yemen is the Arab world’s poorest nation and has been engulfed in a 10-year civil war between the 'Houthis, who control San'a and much of the country’s north, and the internationally recognized government forces in the south. Tedros was in the country to discuss its worsening humanitarian crisis and to seek the release of about 50 people detained by the 'Houthis since June from the U.N., nongovernmental organizations and civil society. Harneis said 18 million Yemenis — about half the country’s population — need humanitarian assistance this year, and the U.N. expects the number to increase to 19 million next year because of the worsening economy. In addition to airstrikes on the San'a airport, Israel has been attacking the country’s key port of Hodeida, in western Yemen. Harneis said Yemen relies on imports through Hodeida for 80% of its food and more than 90% of its medical supplies to the north. A recent Israeli airstrike destroyed two tugboats and is estimated to have reduced the harbor’s capacity by 50%, the U.N. official said, while damage from Thursday’s airstrikes hasn’t been assessed yet. As for the detainees, Harneis said he joined the WHO chief at meetings with the 'Houthi prime minister, foreign minister and a member of the group’s Supreme Political Council. He said they received commitments on the detainees’ possible release and a pathway to it, and on conditions under which they are being held. ****** *** Note: These figures only include the dead and injured Palestinians who have been accounted for by the Palestinian hospitals. The victims who are not carried to the hospitals are not accounted for. *** Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 452 Tuesday 31-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 452nd consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas. Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring a number of citizens. The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 88, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area. Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services. Local sources said that a citizen was martyred following an Israeli attack in A'hmed Fikri street in Jabalya Al-Nazla area, north of Gaza. On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation army bombed a gathering of citizens near the Jabalya Al-Balad Care Center in northern Gaza, killing and injuring a number of people. More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today. Meanwhile, Hundreds of tents in displacement camps across the Gaza Strip were flooded last night and on Tuesday morning due to heavy rains. *** One civilians killed, others wounded in Israel's ongoing shelling of Gaza GAZA, December, 31, 2024 (WAFA) – A civilian was killed today in the Israeli occupation's bombing of the Jabalya Al-Nazla area, north of the Gaza Strip. Local sources reported that one civilian was killed as a result of the occupation's bombing of A'hmed Fikri Abu Warda Street in Jabalya Al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip. The occupation's artillery shelling was renewed on the Abu Shari'a and Abdul 'Aal areas, south of Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, and the occupation's vehicles opened fire towards the southern areas of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The Israeli occupation has been waging a bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which resulted so far in the killing of 45,541 civilians, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 108,338 others. Y.S. *** Sick prisoners face double suffering in the Naqab (Negev) prison during cold winter Tuesday 31-December-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The sick prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, especially the Negev desert prison, are facing double suffering during the cold winter, in light of imposed penalties and restrictions on prisoners by prison administrations, which amount to humanitarian crimes. Palestinian prisoners in the Negev prison are languishing in extremely harsh health and detention conditions, as they are exposed to all forms of abuse and repression. The human rights organizations concerned with prisoners reported that the Negev prisoners are deprived of simplest living essentials, noting that the prison administration has recently removed all windows’ glass, allowing cold air into prisoners ’rooms, amid shortage of blankets and winter clothes, exacerbating their ordeal. Following visits to the Negev prison by their lawyers, the prisoners organizations reviewed a number of pathological cases among the detainees of the prison, including detainee 'Ala-uddeen Al-Isdoudi, 47, from the city of Tulkarem, who was sentenced to eight years and suffers from a weak heart muscle. Al-Isdoudi underwent medical examinations before October 7, 2023, and was then transferred to Soroka Hospital, where it was found that he suffers from a weak heart muscle with a 46% percentage, high blood fat, and stomach ulcers. He was also infected months ago with Scabies. Prisoner Khalil Za'aqiq, 21, from the town of Bait Ummar in Al-Khaleel (Hebron), suffers from a nervous condition with loss of consciousness and muscle cramps, a condition he experienced after he was hit on his head at the hands of Israeli occupation soldiers at his arrest time in 2020. The prison administration gives him medicines that keep him almost asleep. Zaaqiq also suffers from a swelling in the genitals area for which a surgery was scheduled for him to treat a water cyst that causes him severe pain, but he could not undergo the operation because of his arrest. The prison administration deliberately neglects his health condition and refuses to provide him with the required treatment. A third captive, Thaer Asasa, 32, from the city of Jenin, has been suffering from Scabies and a swelling in the back of the head as a result of being subjected to beating inside the prison. *** Thousands of tents flooded in the Gaza Strip, due to heavy rains GAZA, December, 31, 2024 (WAFA) – Hundreds of tents in displacement camps in different areas of the Gaza Strip were flooded last night and early Tuesday morning due to heavy rains, which exacerbated the suffering of families living in tragic conditions in light of the continued Israeli occupation shelling. The displaced reported that their tents were blown away by the strong winds that swept the Strip over the past two days, forcing them to face the bitter cold without any protection. The displaced, especially in the areas of Dair El-Bala'h and Al-Mawasi of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip, spent a harsh night inside their tents, which were swallowed by rainwater and blown away by the winds. This cold weather comes at a time when medical sources announced the death of an infant in the Gaza Strip due to the cold weather and low temperatures, the seventh person to die due to the cold and lack of heating in less than a week. Rescue crews received hundreds of distress calls from the displaced to rescue them and their children, whose tents and destroyed homes were flooded by rainwater. They indicated that they could only evacuate the displaced from their damaged shelters to other places that are mostly unsuitable for shelter, and they remain in the open under the rain and bitter cold. The catastrophic humanitarian conditions have forced about 2 million displaced people since October 7, 2023, to live in dilapidated tents that lack the minimum requirements for a decent life and do not protect against the cold of winter after the Israeli occupation forces destroyed their homes. Y.S. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Biden administration total support for the Israeli genocidal war on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** Illegal Israeli settlers kidnap and assault a Palestinian citizen in the West Bank Tuesday 31-December-2024 Al-Khaleel (Hebron), (PIC) A horde of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers kidnapped on Monday night a Palestinian citizen from Al-Shuyoukh town, north of Al-Khaleel (Hebron) in the occupied West Bank, and savagely beat him. According to a family source, a group of settlers kidnapped and assaulted Ziyad Halayqa as he was returning from work. The settlers reportedly took Halayqa to the illegal settlement of Asfar near Al-Shuyoukh town, where they embarked on beating him, before dumping him unconscious in Wadi Sa’ir area. Halayqa’s wife said she was able to reach her husband about two hours after he was kidnaped, adding that he was rushed to the Princess 'Alia Governmental Hospital. The wife also said that her husband suffers from bruises and injuries all over his body. *** Israeli occupation forces demolish a Palestinian house north of Aree'ha (Jericho) Aree'ha (Jericho), December, 31, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian house in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of Aree'ha (Jericho). Salama Huraizat, a local civilian, said that the occupation bulldozers demolished his 150-square-meter house, where his family has lived for years, in Khirbet 'Allan in Al-Jiftlik. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation authorities carried out 52 demolition operations during last November, which affected 63 facilities, including 27 inhabited homes, two uninhabited ones, and 17 agricultural facilities and others. The operations were concentrated in the Jerusalem governorates, with 26 facilities demolished, followed by the Hebron governorates with 10, and the Nablus governorates with 7. Y.S. *** Israeli occupation forces demolish Palestinian building near Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), December, 31, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today began demolishing a building in the Salam suburb, northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). Eyewitnesses reported that a force from the occupation army and police, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed the Ras Shi'hada neighborhood in the Salam suburb and began demolishing a building under construction, owned by citizen Iyad Al-Qasrawi, on the pretext that it was built without a license. Local sources reported that the occupation forces were deployed intensively around the demolition site and obstructed students from reaching their schools. According to statistics from Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) governorate, the Israeli occupation apartheid regime has carried out about 433 bulldozing and demolition operations in the governorate since October 7, 2023. Y.S. *** 'Hamas: Escalating house demolitions in Jerusalem part of Israeli displacement plans Monday 30-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, said in a statement that the Israeli escalation of house demolition policy in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) came is part of the Israeli Judaization and settlement expansion policy that threatens the Palestinian people’s existence on their land. 'Hamas stressed that these measures are part of the Israeli plans for forced displacement and abuse of citizens in the West Bank and Gaza alike. 'Hamas called on the Palestinian people to confront the Israeli aggressive Judaization plans in Occupied Jerusalem and its holy places. The Movement further called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take immediate action to protect Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli Judaization policies. Earlier Monday, the Israeli occupation apartheid regime ordered the demolition of 13 homes of one family in the town of 'Anata, northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). Local sources reported that the Israeli authorities ordered the Al-Fuhaidat family to evacuate 13 of their homes within 12 days, noting that the homes threatened with demolition belong to brothers and cousins from the Al-Fuhaidat family. *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** Heavy rains damage hundreds of tents, displace families in Gaza Tuesday 31-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Heavy rains and thunderstorms battered the Gaza Strip, flooding tents in different areas, especially in central Dair El-Bala'h and southern Khan Younus, adding to the suffering of displaced Palestinian families. According to displaced civilians, hundreds of tents in displacement camps across the Gaza Strip were flooded last night and on Tuesday morning due to heavy rains. Displaced families, particularly in Dair El-Bala'h, al-Mawasi and Khan Younus in southern Gaza, endured a grueling night as their tents were inundated with rainwater and damaged or blown away by strong winds. Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defense service said it received hundreds of distress calls from displaced people whose tents and shelters were flooded and damaged by rainwater. “Our crews can only evacuate citizens from sites where there are flooded tents and homes to other places that are mostly unsuitable for shelter, so those citizens still have to stay in the open braving the rain and biting cold,” the civil defense service added. The civil defense service appealed to the people with conscience to urgently save the displaced families in Gaza and help them move to suitable shelters that protect them from rainy and cold weather. Most of Gaza’s families currently live in makeshift tents, but they have become unsuitable to protect them from the harsh weather conditions. *** Statistics Bureau: Gaza Strip population declined by 6% by the end of 2024 RAMALLAH, December 31, 2024 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) reported that over 45,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023, with 98% of the casualties in the Gaza Strip, marking the highest death toll in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict. “Gaza Strip population declined by 6% by the end of 2024.” 'Ola 'Awad, President of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) presented a brief on the status of the Palestinian people at the end of 2024, stating that the Gaza Strip has suffered catastrophic human and material losses, with entire neighborhoods destroyed, families erased from civil records and vital infrastructure reduced to rubble. He stressed that it is time to lift the blockade on Gaza to allow the entry of necessary humanitarian supplies, including winter supplies. The UN Commissioner added in statements to the media, on Tuesday, that nearly 650 incidents have been recorded against the agency's buildings and facilities since the beginning of the war. He stressed that more than two-thirds of the agency's buildings were damaged or destroyed, most of which were used as schools for children. Lazzarini pointed out that at least 745 people were martyred in the agency's shelters while seeking protection from the United Nations. He revealed that there are at least 20 UNRWA employees in Israeli detention centers, saying: It is time to release all detained humanitarian workers. UNRWA said that the levels of acute malnutrition in the Gaza Strip are 10 times higher than they were before the Israeli war on the Strip. “In Gaza, 80% of families have at least one child who is not getting enough food, and more than 96% of children and pregnant or lactating women are not getting enough nutrition,” she added in a statement on the X platform, according to a UNICEF report last November. The UN agency called for an immediate ceasefire and a regular flow of essential supplies to facilitate relief operations. Y.S. *** Gaza City municipality warns of sewage overflow following Israeli attack Tuesday 31-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Gaza City municipality has warned of sewage overflow in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood after the Israeli occupation army bombed at dawn Monday the emergency system of the wastewater pumping station (7B). In a statement on Tuesday, the municipality said that its emergency plan to handle sewage in the neighborhood was disrupted as a result of the Israeli attack, warning of a health and environmental disaster in the area. The municipality appealed to local and international organizations to help it contain the situation and repair the damage to prevent the health and environmental crisis in the area from worsening further. *** UN experts: Israel’s assault on the foundations of int’l law must have consequences Tuesday 31-December-2024 GENEVA, (PIC) A galaxy of UN rapporteurs has called for necessarily holding Israel accountable for its persistent violations of the international law in the Gaza Strip. “Israel must face the consequences of its campaign to undermine the legal framework for the protection of civilians in armed conflicts,” a group of independent UN experts said on Monday, as the full-scale armed attack on Gaza and forced displacement of its population continues unabated. “As we have repeatedly reminded Israel, international humanitarian law comprises a set of universal and binding rules to protect civilian objects and persons who are not, or are no longer, directly participating in hostilities and limits permissible means and methods of warfare,” the experts stressed. “Rather than abide by these rules, Israel has openly defied international law time and again, inflicting maximum suffering on civilians in the occupied Palestinian territory and beyond.” Citing Israel’s most egregious violations, the experts highlighted “crimes against humanity including murder, torture, sexual violence, and repeated forced displacement amounting to forcible transfer, war crimes encompassing indiscriminate attacks on civilians and civilian objects, including objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population and educational institutions and cultural heritage, the use of starvation as a weapon of war, the targeting of healthcare workers and health facilities, attacks on humanitarian workers, arbitrary restrictions on access to humanitarian aid, and attacks on journalists, collective punishment and perfidy.” “Political and judicial actors must consider the totality of such acts against the entire civilian population under Israeli occupation, who are protected persons and do not constitute military objectives under international law,” the experts said, affirming that “acts aimed at their destruction in whole or in part are genocidal.” The experts said they were particularly alarmed over Israel’s practices in northern Gaza, where they said “Israel had grievously violated its obligations as an occupying power.” “Indiscriminate attacks, including on shelters for displaced persons and the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital and its vicinity, and the intensification of siege conditions on northern Gaza for the last three months run contrary to Israel’s legal duty to ensure the protection of the civilian population,” the experts said. “We are disturbed that this siege, coupled with expanding evacuation orders, appears intended to permanently displace the local population as a precursor to Gaza’s annexation in further violation of international law.” “The International Court of Justice has recognized the unlawfulness of and made clear that Israel must unconditionally end its ongoing presence in the occupied Palestinian territory and imposed binding provisional measures on Israel to prevent the commission of genocide in Gaza, while Israel’s prime minister and former minister of defense are wanted by the International Criminal Court,” the experts said. “Nonetheless, Israel continues to face no real consequences, largely due to protection offered by its allies, who have gone so far as to join Israel in delegitimizing international institutions and besmirching Special Procedures mandate-holders,” they highlighted further. The experts reiterated the urgency of allowing independent and thorough investigations of Israel’s serious violations of the international law. “Israel’s continued impunity sends a dangerous message suggesting that parties to other conflicts around the world need not comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law,” they said. “We cannot afford to lose the force of the multilateral system. Israel and its leaders must be held accountable.” *** 'Hamas: Martyrdom of five Palestinians in Israeli jails exposes Israel’s ugliest face of brutality Tuesday 31-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, said the martyrdom of five Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons in the past hours exposes the Israeli occupation’s ugliest face of brutality and confirms its complete detachment from all human values and international laws, amidst suspicious international silence and inability to hold it accountable for escalating its crimes against Palestinian prisoners. 'Hamas stressed, in a statement on Monday evening, that the serious violations Palestinian prisoners are exposed to, including enforced disappearance, medical neglect, systematic torture, and deprivation of the most basic rights, are a direct result of the blatant US bias and the absence of real international deterrence. 'Hamas called on the masses of the Palestinian people to go out in mass rallies to support the prisoners’ steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation’s attacks, especially with the escalation of ethnic cleansing crimes and the war of extermination launched against the Gaza Strip. The Movement called on all international human rights organizations to condemn the Israeli occupation and prosecute its leaders before international courts to hold them accountable for their crimes targeting prisoners and the entire Palestinian people. Earlier on Monday, the prisoners’ institutions announced the martyrdom of four Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip one day after the death of a fifth prisoner from Gaza due to severe torture in Israeli prisons, bringing the number of detainees from the Gaza Strip who died in Israeli occupation’s prisons during the past 24 hours to 5 martyrs. The four martyrs were identified as Mu'hammed Al-'Akka, 44, Sameer Al-Ka'hlout, 52, Zuhair 'Omar Al-Shareef, 58, and Mu'hammed Al-Lubbad, 57. The number of prisoners who died inside Israeli occupation prisons since the beginning of the genocidal war, has risen to 54 martyrs, and this number is the highest in history, making this stage the bloodiest stage in the history of the prisoner movement since 1967. *** Al-Nunu: We expect negotiations to be a step towards stopping the ongoing aggression Monday 30-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) 'Hamas leader Tahir Al-Nunu said that the Israeli occupation seeks through negotiations to free the Israeli captives, stressing that his Movement expects negotiations to be a step towards stopping the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. The Israeli occupation is committing a slow killing policy against Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons, through torture and deliberate medical negligence, Al-Nunu added. He condemned the Israeli mass destruction in the Gaza Strip, that targeted infrastructure, homes and schools. The Movement called on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the Israeli violations against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and called for providing international protection for Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 451st consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas. *** 'Husam Abu Safiya’s son appeals to the world to take immediate action to release his father Tuesday 31-December-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The son of the Director General of Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, Dr. 'Husam Abu Safiya, appealed to the world to take immediate action to release his father, who was arrested by Israeli occupation forces on Friday after storming the hospital, burning it down and forcibly evacuating everyone who was in it. Idris Abu Safiya said in a video recording, “We are broadcasting this message burdened with pain and concern for the fate of my father who was arrested last Friday by Israeli occupation forces while fulfilling his humanitarian duty in the northern Gaza Strip.” “During this period, my father lost his beloved son, my brother Ibrahim, and he himself was seriously injured and is still suffering from the injury until this moment. Despite that, my father continued to fulfill his duty with all sincerity,” Idris added. He stressed that his family, friends and colleagues are all concerned about his fate “as he is held in the Israeli Sde Teiman prison, known for its crimes against Palestinian prisoners,” adding, “We have received testimonies from released detainees confirming that my father was subjected to humiliation and mistreatment, including being forced to take off all his clothes during a humiliating search.” Idris appealed to international bodies and human rights organizations, especially the World Health Organization and “everyone with a living conscience”, to take urgent and immediate action to pressure Israeli occupation authorities to release his father before he meets the fate of many doctors and medics in the Gaza Strip who were martyred during arrest. *** =============================================================================================================================== Editorial
