August 6, 2024
Editor's Notes:
Here are some
initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli
war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza Strip, based on the
By August 5, 2024,
the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the
Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza
Strip is
46,653+.
This includes the accounted for deaths (39,653), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 7,000+).
By July 12, 2024, the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment destroyed more than 100 health hospitals and medical facilities, 609 mosques, 3 churches, more than 430,000 housing units, and the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, five citizens were killed in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment building in the southern town of Mayfadoun on Tuesday morning. Earlier, Israeli airstrikes on different towns in southern Lebanon claimed the lives of at least three people, including a paramedic, and injured others. These attacks happened on Monday evening and at dawn Tuesday. The Israeli occupation army also fired projectiles on multiple towns in southern Lebanon last night and today, while Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over Beirut and other areas of Lebanon on Monday and Tuesday. *** Number of female Palestinian detainees in Israel prisons is 86, says PPS and Commission RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 (WAFA) – The Palestine Prisoners Society (PPS) and Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission said that the Israeli occupation authorities are still detaining 86 female prisoners, all of them in the Israeli prison of al-Damon and only two female prisoners in Al-Maskoubiya interrogation center. The Commission's lawyer meet with the two female detainees, Hadeel Shatara, 32, from the town of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya, east of Ramallah city, who has been detained for two months and has been placed under administrative detention for six months, and Salwa 'Hamdan, 45, from Al-Duhaisha refugee camp in Bait Lahm (Bethlehem) city, who has been detained for four months. The Commission pointed out that the conditions of female detainees inside occupation jails are worsening. Y.S. *** Palestinian prisoner dies of torture in Sde Teiman Monday 5-August-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian prisoner 'Omar Junaid from Gaza has died of severe torture in the Israeli Sde Teiman military detention center, which brings the number of Palestinian prisoners who have died of torture in Israeli jails since the start of the genocidal war on the Strip to 21 martyrs. Human rights organizations reported that the prisoner Junaid, 26, from Jabalya Governorate, north of the Gaza Strip, died on June 17 as a result of brutal torture in the Sde Teiman detention camp. The Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said in a joint statement on Monday that the announcement of Junaid’s martyrdom came days after his family was officially informed by the HaMoked Israeli human rights organization. The statement pointed out that the IOF arrested Junaid on December 23, along with his brother Yasser, who was released after four months of detention. The statement also quoted the martyr’s family as confirming that he was not suffering from any health problems before his arrest, adding that he was working before the war in the field of agriculture, and was planning for his wedding. It stressed that the martyr Junaid is one of dozens of prisoners from Gaza who were martyred as a result of brutal torture in Israeli prisons and detention camps, specifically the Sde Teiman. With the martyrdom of Junaid, the number of Palestinian prisoners who have been martyred in Israeli jails since 1967 rises to 258. *** Euro-Med: A growing number of sick and injured people are dying due to Israeli blockade Tuesday 6-August-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Following 10 months of its systematic and widespread destruction of the health sector, and imposing an arbitrary blockade, Israel continues to deliberately prevent the entry of medical supplies, including medical devices and essential medicines, into the Gaza Strip, resulting in a high death toll there, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor revealed on Monday evening. The rights group stressed that an immediate action is needed to lift Israel’s blockade on the Strip, bring in medical supplies to save the lives of sick and injured persons, guarantee the right to travel for those in need of critical treatment, and bring in the supplies required to immediately rebuild the health system and ensure its safety from Israeli targeting. Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor received dozens of daily complaints from Palestinians seeking to travel for life-saving treatment outside the Gaza Strip due to the lack of adequate treatment, medicines, and medical devices, as the majority of hospitals are out of service due to the ongoing Israeli blockade and direct targeting. Since the redeployment of its military forces and the destruction of large parts of it last May, Israel has closed the Rafah land crossing with Egypt—the only route for travel in the Gaza Strip since the start of Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians there. The closure has prevented thousands of sick and injured people from traveling for treatment, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of them thus far. The latest statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza indicate that more than 12,000 injured people and 14,000 sick patients are in urgent need of traveling for treatment, stressing that these are part of the tens of thousands who are in dire need of travel to complete treatment or receive essential therapy and rehabilitation services that are not available anymore in the Gaza Strip. Dozens of patient deaths, including those of elderly people, are reported on a daily basis, the majority of which are the result of inadequate medical care, medication, or treatment. Euro-Med Monitor emphasized that these individuals are not formally included in the official list of those killed by Israel’s ongoing genocide. Data from the Ministry of Health show that the death rate in the Gaza Strip has significantly increased in the past few months when compared to the same period in the last two years. A correlation has also been noted between the increasing deaths, hospitals that are no longer operational, and the breakdown of the health system because of systematic Israeli targeting and blockade. In this regard, the Euro-Med called for a swift international intervention to put an end to Israel’s crime of genocide; lift its arbitrary siege on the Gaza Strip; permit the entry of food and non-food items as well as life-saving medical aid into the enclave; immediately rebuild the health sector; establish field hospitals in the northern section of the Strip; pressure Israel to stop its systematic attacks against hospitals that have been rendered inoperable and guarantee the safety of the medical personnel, sick and injured patients, and displaced people inside; allow anyone who needs it to receive life-saving treatment; and facilitate the transfer of thousands of emergency cases for medical treatment abroad. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces*** On August 6, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on the Gaza Strip resulted in 3main massacres, in which 30 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 66 others were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 39,653 and the injuries to 91,535, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. *** Occupation commits three massacres in Gaza over the past 24 hours GAZA, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 (WAFA) - The Israeli occupation army committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in the killing of 30 civilians and the injury of 66 others, according to medical sources. The number of people killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, has surged to 39,653. Some 91,535 others have been wounded. Thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams are facing tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the relentless Israeli shelling. Casualty data in Gaza are incomplete due to the intensive Israeli aggression, the repeated and complete interruption of communication and internet services, devastated infrastructure and massive debris, and the lack of fuel and heavy machinery; which render it difficult to document figures. T.R. *** Five Palestinian policemen killed in Israeli airstrike on their vehicle Tuesday 6-August-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian General Directorate of Police in Gaza declared the killing of five members of its forces in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle they were riding in, while performing their police duty in the Central Governorate of Gaza City on Monday evening. “The Israeli direct targeting of police personnel comes as part of Israeli efforts to strike the internal front and spread chaos in the Gaza Strip,” the Police Directorate said. The Gaza Police Directorate called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its direct and repeated targeting of the police personnel. The Directorate also stressed that targeting police personnel is a flagrant violation of international law and human rights law. *** *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces *** Palestinian martyred following alleged stabbing operation in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Tuesday 6-August-2024 Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) A Palestinian citizen was martyred on Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed and injured an Israeli female soldier in at the Tunnels checkpoint, south of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). In Jenin, where the occupation forces continue to storm the city of Jineen and its camp, and destroy the infrastructure, amidst the outbreak of confrontations, four Palestinian youths were killed after Israeli occupation forces bombed a vehicle in the city of Jenin. The Ministry of Health said A'hmed 'Husamuddeen Kamil Al-Sa'di, 18, was killed after the occupation forces bombed a vehicle in the eastern neighborhood of the city of Jineen. Jineen Hospital Director Wisam Bakr told WAFA that the bodies of four civilians, scattered in pieces, from the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, were taken to the hospital after the occupation forces prevented the crews from reaching the bombed sites. So far, only Al-Sa'di, Ayham 'Hasan Jabr Zakarna, and Khattab Majd Badawiya have been identified, in addition to six others injured by shrapnel and bullets. An eyewitness from the eastern neighborhood confirmed that the slain youths were sitting near his house behind Al-Sa'di's office and did not participate in any confrontations as they were directly targeted by an occupation drone. The remains of the slain youths were found before they were transferred to the hospital. Another youth was also critically injured. Meanwhile, a Palestinian youth was killed by Israeli occupation forces west of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem). According to the Department of Public Relations and Media in the Ministry of National Economy, the agricultural sector, which is one of the largest sectors in the governorate, recorded 70% losses, especially in the first days of the aggression on Gaza as a result of farmer’s inability to sell their products within the 1948-occupied land and the decrease in overseas exports. He stressed that before the start of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 3023, the governorate was exporting to the United States, Belarus and Britain, and was the highest-ranked in terms of certificates of origin, which have seen a marked decline since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip. In the industrial sector, Sawafta maintained that the occupation forces’ hindrance to the entry of raw materials needed to operate production facilities in the governorate has caused a decline in the production capacity and the volume of labor and an increase in the cost of production. The commercial sector was also greatly affected, he added, stressing that the deterioration of the economic situation was a major factor in the closure of many small and micro enterprises, especially women-led enterprises.
