Editor's Notes:
Here are some
initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli

Gaza Strip, based on the
By August 5, 2024,
the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the
Israeli genocidal war on
Gaza
Strip is
46,623+.
This includes the accounted for deaths (39,623), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 7,000+).
By July 12, 2024, the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment destroyed more than 100 health hospitals and medical facilities, 609 mosques, 3 churches, more than 430,000 housing units, and the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. In a speech on Sunday at the mourning house of the martyr Haniyya in the Qatari capital Doha, Al-'Hayya stressed that “the martyrdom of the leader Isma'eel Haniyya revived the nation anew, just as the Al-Aqsa Flood on the seventh of last October revived the nation’s determination and struggle for the imminent liberation of Palestine from the usurpers.” He noted, “The martyr Haniyya was faithful to the principles of our people and our nation, and was keen and trustworthy on the nation’s sanctities.” The Hamas official added, “Haniyya was the prime minister of the Palestinian people, and of the resistance of the people who aspire for freedom and return.” He affirmed that Haniyya has always been an inspiration with his words, sermons, biography, and ethics “that would live with us until we die.” The Hamas leader considered that the unification of the entire nation in praying for the martyr Ismail Haniyya “is an indication of the nation’s embrace of his choice, which is advancing towards the achievement of our legitimate rights.” He drew attention to the fact that the Hamas Movement and the Palestinian resistance factions “came and stood as one body to receive the condolences for the martyrdom of their brother, the leader Ismail.” He thanked Qatar and its people for the “great arrangements” for the condolence tent of the martyr leader, affirming, “The condolence was befitting of Qatar, the nation, and Ismail Haniyya.” He expressed gratitude to the leaders of the factions and the national forces “who came from everywhere to participate in our collective condolences for the martyrdom of our brother Ismail Haniyya, all appreciation to our brothers in the factions, and we say to them: This is our path and your path, our path towards freedom.” He stressed that the Islamic and Arab nation have come to offer condolences for the martyrdom of the leader Ismail Haniyya, “all of them came feeling that we have lost something precious in this nation.” He said, “We will continue on the path of struggle, jihad, and resistance until the liberation of Palestine, by the grace of Almighty Allah,” affirming, “Our will is strong and solid, it cannot be broken by the martyrdom of a leader, nor two, nor three, for we are proceeding, by the will of Allah.” Addressing the lovers of Hamas and the Palestinian people, Al-'Hayya said, “Do not worry about Hamas, for a leader has departed, but the Movement is managed by institutions, so there is no vacuum with the martyrdom of the leader.” Al-'Hayya concluded his speech, “We are a united leadership thanks to Allah, we hold our meetings and manage our affairs with full responsibility and love amongst us. It is only a matter of days before we conclude our consultations to choose a new leader for the Hamas Movement.” The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haneyya, was martyred at dawn on last Wednesday, in an assassination operation that targeted him at his place of residence in the Iranian capital Tehran, after his participation in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president. Isma'eel Haniyya, who hails from the town of Al-Jura in the 'Asqalan district, was born in 1963 in the Shati refugee camp west of the city of Gaza. He was known for his closeness to the Movement’s founder, the martyr Al-Shaikh A'hmed Yaseen, as he worked as the director of his office for years. Throughout his life, he was arrested in the Israeli occupation prisons more than once, was deported to Marj Al-Zahour in southern Lebanon, and survived several assassination attempts, the most prominent of which was in 2003 when he was with Sheikh A'hmed Yaseen. After Hamas’s victory in the legislative elections, Ismail Haneyya headed the tenth Palestinian government, which was subjected to a suffocating Israeli siege. He had a famous statement at the time, saying, “We will eat thyme, salt and olives, and we will not bow our heads, we will not be humiliated, and we will not retreat.” In 2017, Isma'eel Haniyya assumed the chairmanship of the Hamas political bureau after elections were held within the Shoura Council of the Movement, and he was known as the political face of Hamas and as a calm man, with a solid and sound discourse and opinion. The Israeli occupation army had killed a number of members of Isma'eel Haniyya’s family during the current war, including 3 of his sons, 7 of his grandchildren, and his two sisters, and also bombed his home in the Shati refugee camp in the city of Gaza. *** Hamas condemns Israeli attacks on two shelter centers Monday 5-August-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas Movement condemned the brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation on Sunday, by bombing Al-Nasr and Hasan Salama schools west of Gaza City, killing dozens of displaced Palestinians. In a statement issued on Sunday, Hamas said that “this massacre is an insistence on the extermination war waged by the Zionist enemy against defenseless civilians, violating all international laws and norms.” 'Hamas called on the international community and the Arab and Islamic countries to live up to their responsibilities and work to stop these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable. It said that the Israeli occupation aims at terrorizing, intimidating, and displacing the Palestinian people. Earlier on Sunday, 30 civilians were killed in the Gaza Strip after the Israeli occupation army launched a series of airstrikes on two schools in Gaza City sheltering thousands of displaced persons. This issue, combined with insufficient water supply, high summer temperatures and 10 months of aggression, fosters conditions conducive to the spread of infectious diseases and different health issues among the population,” the municipality said in a statement on Sunday. Since the war on Gaza started last October, the Israeli occupation army has destroyed about 126 municipal vehicles and 60 water wells, not to mention the destruction of various health and service facilities and the uprooting of about 60,000 trees across the city, according to the municipality’s statement. The municipality called on international, regional and local organizations to swiftly intervene to rescue Gaza City from its humanitarian crises and provide it with its needs of equipment, spare parts and fuel to help it alleviate this dire health situation. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces*** On August 5, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on the Gaza Strip resulted in 2 main massacres, in which 40 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 71 others were injured, in the past 24 hours. The Israeli forces have continued their ground invasion of large neighborhoods in Rafa'h, since May 7, while storming Gaza City amid air and artillery bombardment. Two Palestinians were killed when the occupation targeted a group of residents near Kuwait roundabout, southeast of Gaza City, while a third was proclaimed dead of injuries he sustained a few days ago in an Israeli airstrike on his family house in the Bani Suhayla area east of Khan Younus. The Israeli warplanes also launched several raids east of 'Abasan Al-Kabeera east of Khan Younus, early today. Similar attacks targeted an empty area, east of Dair E-Bala'h, which led to the destruction of a nearby house and started fire. No casualties were reported in the attack. The warplanes also launched new raids targeting what remained of the Al-Ridhwan Mosque, north of Gaza City. Earlier Sunday, the Palestinian Civil Defense reported that 53 civilians were killed as a result of the continued Israeli bombing and massacres in various areas of the Gaza Strip. He added that the occupation's warplanes launched two raids on Abu Ghoula land area in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, and fired at the vicinity of the Gaza Valley Bridge, northeast of the refugee camp. The Israeli troops also fired machine guns east of Al-Maghazi camp and Al-Musaddar village in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with the occupation's artillery shelling of citizens' homes southeast of Dair El-Bala'h city. Local sources reported that Israeli fighter jets simultaneously bombed the Hassan Salameh school and the private An-Nasr school west of Gaza City. The sources explained that the bombing destroyed the northern wing of the An-Nasr school, which consists of 3 floors, while the bombing destroyed the ground floor of the 'Hasan Salama school. Photographs and video footage showed fires breaking out inside the school, which shelters thousands of displaced persons whose homes were destroyed by the occupation’s ongoing war on the Strip. The Civil Defense in Gaza said that it has become unable to deal with the Israeli bombing due to the deterioration of the equipment, and that its elements are working with the bare minimum of available means. It stressed that the Israeli occupation does not respect any covenants or rules in its war on Gaza, and the continued bombing of schools sheltering thousands of displaced persons is new evidence of this, noting that most of the wounded arriving at hospitals are children and women. The bombing of the two schools comes in less than 24 hours after the occupation army committed a similar massacre by bombing the Hamama school in the Al-Shati refugee camp, which resulted in the death of 16 displaced civilians in the school. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in more than 39,500 martyrs, the injury of more than 91,000 others, mostly children and women, the displacement of about 1.9 million people, 10,000 missing, and massive destruction of the health and education infrastructure, as well as famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children. *** *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces *** Injured Palestinian woman succumbs to serious injured by Israeli forces Jineen, Monday, August 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Wafaa Nayif Zuhdi Jarar has succumbed to her critical injuries during her detention by the Israeli occupation forces from her home about two months ago, Ibn Seena Hospital in Jineen announced this morning.
