On Day 85 of the US-Backed Israeli Genocidal War on Gaza Strip, 165 Palestinians Killed, 250 Injured, with a Death Toll of  21,507 and 56,165 Injuries

 December 30, 2023

***

Editor's Notes:

Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip:

By December 30, 2023, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 28,672+.

This includes the accounted for deaths (21,672) and those who are still missing under the rubble (Corrected on December 23, 2023: 7,000+).

By December 30, 2023, the documented injuries exceeded 56,165, and more than 2,520 civilians have been abducted from Gaza Strip (80 mutilated corpses were returned on 12/27/23).

By December 30, 2023, there were 319 Palestinians who were killed, 3,531 who were injured, and 4,863, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

***

By December 28, 2023, the death toll included 8,800+ children and 6,300+ women.

By December 27 2023,  there was a complete destruction of 65,000+ housing units, and a partial destruction of 290,000+ housing units (60% of Gaza housing units). This forced about 1.5 million people to become homeless, taking refuge in crowded UN schools and ultimately sleeping in the streets.

The Israeli refusal to allow international aid caravans to enter Gaza freely led the Palestinian population to be on the verge of mass extermination for the lack of food, water, medicine, and fuel.

By December 28, 2023, 312 health personnel and 97 journalists were killed and hundreds were injured, 104 ambulances were destroyed while on duty, killing and injuring their crews, and destroyed 142 health institutions. As a result of the strikes and lack of fuel, 23 hospitals and 53 primary care centers are not functioning.

Meanwhile, 126 government offices and 92 schools and universities were completely destroyed, while 285 schools and universities were partially damaged.

115 mosques were completely destroyed, while 200 others were partially damaged, in addition to three churches.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Israel is committing systematic thefts in Palestinian homes in Gaza, says rights group

GENEVA, Saturday, December 30, 2023 (WAFA) —

The invading Israeli army has unleashed its soldiers in the Gaza Strip not only to kill, but to engage in immoral activities such as property theft and looting during raids on Palestinian civilian homes, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement yesterday.

Euro-Med Monitor reported on a number of cases that show Israeli soldiers participating in and witnessing the deliberate theft of the assets and money of Palestinian civilians, including laptop computers, gold, and large quantities of cash. Israel’s army has been conducting ground military operations in the Gaza Strip since October, the rights group said. These operations have included raiding homes, storming residential areas, and conducting arbitrary arrest campaigns against civilians.

According to testimonies gathered by Euro-Med Monitor, the Israeli army’s crimes extend beyond arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearances, and field executions. They also involve the intentional destruction of property, the theft of personal belongings, and the looting and burning of homes—all part of a systematic strategy that is evidently based on collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

Based on the testimonies it has been documenting, the Euro-Med Monitor team stated that its preliminary estimates suggest that the Israeli army may have looted valuable possessions worth tens of millions of dollars, in addition to stealing personal belongings from Palestinian civilians.

Palestinian Thabit Salim, 40, told Euro-Med Monitor’s team that he and his two sons were taken into custody by the Israeli army from their house in the Zaytoun neighborhood, in the south of Gaza City, and that members of the army had pilfered all of the gold and cash that was on hand. Salim said that he had been released alone two days ago, while his sons’ fate remains unknown.

“The amount of money the soldiers took from my house is worth more than 10,000 US dollars,” Salim declared, “plus nearly the same amount of gold from my wife, and the wife of my eldest son.”

A woman named Umm Mu'hammad Gharbiyya, who lives in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, told the Euro-Med Monitor team that the Israeli forces forcibly took her gold jewelry after violently breaking into her family’s house earlier this month. Her husband and oldest son were also arrested during the raid.

Husain Al-Tanani, a resident of the Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood in the north of Gaza City, said that they were surprised to find their house had been raided by the Israeli army following their escape to a nearby United Nations school in order to seek shelter from Israeli attacks. A computer and large amounts of cash had been stolen, while a big mess  was left inside the house.

The testimonies gathered by Euro-Med Monitor teams confirm reports by the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate’s so-called “intelligence collection and technical spoils” unit that were published by Israeli newspaper Yedioth A'hronoth on 15 December. The reports say that the Israeli army “seized” sums of money exceeding five million Israeli shekels (about $1,351,350 USD).

Euro-Med Monitor reported that the aforementioned amount of money is likely only a small portion of the unreported thefts carried out by Israeli forces. At the same time, footage swept social media (its date as well as the precise context of the incident could not be verified by the time of this publication) showing three Israeli soldiers personally selling gold jewelry in a West Bank store after stealing it from a house in the Gaza Strip.

Israel’s soldiers themselves have published videos on social media platforms documenting their deliberate sabotage of civilian homes in the Gaza Strip, Euro-Med Monitor pointed out, or their spraying of racist Zionist slogans on walls, in addition to bragging about seizing Palestinians’ money and valuable possessions.

Alia Al-Najjar, 34, affirmed in a press statement that she recognized some of her own gold jewelry, which she had previously kept with her mother’s belongings, in one of the videos published by Israeli soldiers. Among the items Al-Najjar saw in the video was a bracelet she had purchased with her first teaching salary, which was a unique 24-carat gold leaf-shaped piece.

She said that in the video clip, an Israeli soldier displays her bracelet inside Al-Najjar’s mother's cloth purse, which also holds other gold pieces and cherished items. She made a comment on the video, calling the soldiers “thieves” before the poster removed the video.

Another Israeli soldier appears in a video clip showing off a silver necklace that says “Made in Gaza” and promising to give it to his girlfriend, while additional footage shows a different soldier carrying a guitar and singing above the debris of demolished homes in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli soldiers brag about killing Palestinian babies and children

Saturday 30-December-2023, GAZA, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces have been circulating provocative videos on social media showing soldiers openly confessing to targeting Palestinian children and bragging about killing Palestinian babies in the Gaza Strip.

In one particularly distressing recording, an Israeli soldier is seen admitting on camera his intention to harm an infant, ultimately resorting to killing a 12-year-old Palestinian girl when unable to locate one.

In the footage circulating on social media, the soldier is heard telling a comrade: “We are looking for babies, but there are no babies left.”

The unseen person off-camera requests clarification, prompting the soldier to respond: “Maybe I killed a girl who was 12 years old, but we are looking for the babies.”

Another video, met with stark condemnation, features a different soldier bragging about shooting two children playing football in the Gaza Strip.

The videos have sparked widespread condemnation, with some social media users calling for holding Israeli forces accountable for committing war crimes.

Israeli analysts admitted that their army kills randomly and targets children, while controversy continues in Israeli media regarding the goals of the war and the fate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The debate raged on Israeli radio stations and TV channels about the war in the Gaza Strip. Gideon Levy from Haaretz newspaper acknowledged that the Israeli army is killing Palestinian children in Gaza, wondering, should children be killed?

Speaking to Israeli Channel 13, he said Israeli soldiers “kill randomly. What is happening in the Gaza Strip cannot be shown on this screen or on any other screen.”

Medical sources further reported that Israeli forces committed 14 massacres against Palestinian families in the past 24 hours, resulting in 165 fatalities and 250 injuries.

According to the sources, Israeli abuses against the healthcare system have led to the martyrdom of 312 healthcare workers, including specialized personnel who are hard to find. The occupation also deliberately destroyed 104 ambulances, rendering them out of service.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, the occupation forces have also targeted 142 health facilities, with 23 hospitals and 53 health centers rendered out of service. Meanwhile, 99 healthcare workers, including hospital directors in northern Gaza, remain detained in Israeli custody.

Approximately 900,000 displaced children in Gaza are exposed to the severe cold, drought, malnutrition, respiratory and skin diseases, and the unavailability of vaccinations for newborns.

Moreover, 50,000 displaced pregnant women are suffering from malnutrition and health complications, especially those with high-risk pregnancies, due to the lack of drinking water, hygiene, food, and healthcare.

In a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza from the land, sea, and air since October 7 has resulted in more than 21,000 martyrs and around 56,000 injuries, with thousands still missing, 70% of whom are children and women.
