While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

UN appeals for $2.8 billion for Palestinians, to help ease food shortages and prevent looming famine imposed by Israeli genocidal war

Wednesday 17-April-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The United Nations (UN) appealed on Wednesday for $2.8 billion in funding to assist more than three million people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank until the end of the year, to help ease food shortages and prevent looming famine in the beleaguered enclave.

A flash appeal published by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the sum was needed to help 3.1 million people and “reduce human suffering and prevent further loss of life.”

A major chunk of funding—$782.1 million—will be destined for food aid for 2.2 million people in Gaza and 400,000 people in the West Bank, the appeal said.

Earlier, the health ministry in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation army committed on Wednesday six massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 56 civilians and injuring over 89 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

By April 17, 2024, in a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but only 145 of them, including 56 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardment and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 33,899 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 76,664 people.

'Hamas warns of attempts to dismantle UNRWA

Thursday 18-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has warned that the Israeli occupation regime, with the support of Western parties, is trying to have the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) replaced with other international bodies and parties.

In a statement on Thursday, Hamas’s refugee affairs office said that the UNRWA commissioner-general’s warning of attempts to dismantle and replace UNRWA confirms that there are international conspiracies taking place to obliterate the issue of the Palestinian refugees and turn it into merely a humanitarian relief issue that can be carried out by other international bodies.

'Hamas added that UNRWA’s exposure to such targeting by the occupation regime and international parties comes in the context of the unprecedented starvation campaign in Gaza, especially in northern Gaza and the refugee camps of Jabalia and ash-Shati.

Hamas pointed out that the Israeli occupation army destroyed seven refugee camps, where 70 percent of the Gaza population lives, adding that 90 percent of those living in those camps suffer from extreme poverty.

“These camp bear witness to the exposure of the Palestinian people to the largest genocidal war on the Palestinian people since 1948,” the Movement said.

The head of UNRWA warned on Wednesday that Israel’s attempts to dismantle the agency while a humanitarian disaster is unfolding in the bombarded and besieged Gaza Strip would have devastating consequences.

Addressing the UN Security Council, Philippe Lazzarini said UNRWA’s work is now more crucial than ever and appealed for protection against Israel.

“Today an insidious campaign to end UNRWA’s operations is under way, with serious implications for international peace and security”, he told the 15-member body during a session called for by Jordan.

“This is happening while Israel’s relentless bombing and merciless siege have transformed Gaza beyond recognition,” with young children dying of malnutrition and dehydration as a man-made famine is tightening its grip across the Strip, where Israeli attacks have killed at least 33,899 people since October 7.”

“Across the border, food and clean water wait, but UNRWA is denied permission to deliver this aid and save lives,” Lazzarini said.

“This outrage is occurring despite consecutive orders by the International Court of Justice to increase the flow of aid into Gaza – which can be done if there is sufficient political will,” he added, calling on the council to “make a difference.”

Lazzarini said that while UNRWA’s requests to deliver aid to northern Gaza are repeatedly denied, its premises and employees in Gaza are being targeted systematically, with a total of 178 UNRWA personnel killed since the start of the war.

GAZA, (PIC)

The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said on Wednesday, “The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) committed new crimes against humanity in the areas of Al-Mughraqa, Al-Zahraa, and the new camp north of Al-Nusayrat, resulting in 520 martyrs, wounded and missing people, and destroyed more than 13,000 housing units within a week.”

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnaped many citizens during raids on homes in Nablus City and its refugee camps, including a female university student from the city and 10 young men from 'Askar refugee camp.

Some of the detainees from Nablus had been ex-detainees in Palestinian Authority jails and were released a few days ago.

Four other citizens were taken prisoners following IOFs raids on their homes in Duma town in the southeast of Nablus and Al-Sayrafi area of the city.

The IOFs also stormed the villages of Talouza and Badthan in the north of Nablus City, without making kidnappings.

In Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces stormed different areas of the province and kidnaped a young man after savagely beating him in Baitounia town and another one after ransacking his home in Bait Rima town.

Three citizens, including a young woman, were kidnaped by the IOFs from Kafr Malik town in the east of Ramallah.

In Aree'ha (Jericho), the IOFs kidnaped three citizens, including two brothers, from their homes in 'Ain Al-Sultan refugee camp.

The IOFs also kidnaped one citizen from his home in Bait Fajjar town in Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) and three others during raids in Doura City and the towns of Bait Ka'heel and Taffu'h in Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

The Israeli occupation forces reportedly broke into and ransacked the house of an ex-detainee called Shadi Al-'Awiwi in al-Khalil City and confiscated his car.

Meanwhile, the IOFs carried out violent raids on a number of homes in Na'haleen town in western Bethlehem, which provoked clashes with local youths.

In Jineen, Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli car carrying illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers near the illegal settlement of Homesh in Sieeat Al-Dthahr town before clashing with Israeli occupation soldiers.

The IOFs also stormed and intensified the presence of its forces in other areas of Jineen province.

In Al-Quds (Jerusalem), violent clashes broke out between Israeli occupation soldiers and young men during a police raid in Shu'fat refugee camp.

27 kidnappings.

Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers

ActionAid strongly condemns the illegal Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank, calls for holding them full accountable

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 18, 2024 (WAFA) –

ActionAid said “The rise in settler violence in the West Bank since October 7 is appalling and the UK must do more to stop these attacks from taking place.”

ActionAid is demanding that the illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank are held to account for acts of violence following a wave of attacks on Palestinian villages. On Friday a 14-year-old Israeli boy was reported missing and later found dead, and hundreds of colonists in the West Bank raided at least 17 Palestinian villages in response over the last few days, torching cars and houses. Armed settlers shot dead two Palestinians on Monday, according to reports. Al-Mughayar village, located northeast of Ramallah, was one of the areas affected by violence. Amin Abu Alia, head of the Al-Mughayar village council, told ActionAid the colonists attack on the village on Friday, which left one dead and dozens injured, was the biggest and most violent incident his community had ever faced.

He said that the illegal Israeli settlers surrounded and stormed the village, raiding homes, setting fire to houses and cars, and stealing an estimated 70 sheep. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, settlers subsequently opened fire on one of its ambulances as it attempted to reach people wounded in the attack, while other vehicles were prevented from entering the village. “These are continuous attacks against residents and farmers and agricultural lands. The farmers can‘t reach their lands due to roadblocks placed by colonists that restrict their movements. We could not pick our olives during last season.”

Since October 7, there has been a sharp surge in colonist attacks in the West Bank resulting in unprecedented levels of violence against Palestinians. Prior to this latest spate of attacks, UNOCHA had recorded 727 Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in total – 72 of which resulted in casualties, 578 in property damage, and 77 in both casualties and property damage.

At least nine Palestinians had been killed by armed the illegal Israeli settlers since October 7.

Under international humanitarian law, the Israeli forces - as the occupying power - are obligated to protect Palestinians civilians from all violence, including settler violence.

Yet ActionAid is warning that the Israeli forces are not doing enough to prevent colonist attacks from taking place nor protect Palestinians during attacks.

A video shared by the Israeli human rights organization Yesh Din, filmed in Dair Dibwan on Saturday, appears to show nearby Israeli forces failing to intervene as colonists set fire to a Palestinian car.

According to UNOCHA, in nearly half of all recorded settler attacks since October 7, Israeli occupation forces were either accompanying or reported to be supporting the attackers.

We call on Israel to recognize its legal obligations and uphold the rights and protections of the Palestinian people, which includes ensuring private property such as cars and homes are respected.

It must hold all those responsible for violence and human rights abuses in the West Bank to account and ensure they are prosecuted under the law. It is clear that the escalation of violence in the West Bank has occurred in tandem with the crisis in Gaza, and as the risk of wider conflict in the region looms, there must be a permanent ceasefire immediately to protect civilians in Gaza, the West Bank and the wider area.

The culture of impunity for violent colonists must end. As the crisis in Gaza continues and the risk of wider conflict in the region grows, the UK must do everything in its power to bring about a permanent and immediate ceasefire, including using every diplomatic lever available, such as ending arms sales to Israel and imposing sanctions.”
