Israel Takes Its Daily Bloodbath

Squatting one knee
Down on the ground
Assault rifles ablaze
Hidden in the haze
Of gunfire Israeli troops
Tighten their grip
On Palestinian bystanders
Lying low to catch the small
Transgressions
Flying roadblocks
Closed exits
To streets under assault
Toddlers clung to mothers
Offensive in Islamic dress
To a trained Israeli eye
Focused on shooting
Deya a Abu Salah
Age 14 in the back
Aaa Yaesh age 16
In the neck another
In the thigh let’s
All sigh resigned
Only 13 wounded
In Nablus today
As Israel takes
Its daily bloodbath
