Let Them Eat Weapons of Mass DestructionBy Diana GwinnMarch 6, 2004 Dedicated to the children of Kendra James who was killed by a Portland Police Officer On May 5th in NE Portland, 3 yr. old Melvin James & 1 yr. old Marques Farris.
Parading jars of preserved fetuses Macabre specimens Pro-life less trophies on a shelf Pale-pink the color of god Fetishes suspended in time, nature and space.
Necrophilia shrouded in self-righteousness Unwise men bearing gifts of Armageddon hell-fire Snatch life’s breath from children Rich-brown the color of earth
2 year old Amir Ayyad & 18-month old Alian Bashiti Babies living in occupied Palestine Both shot dead Israeli bullets to the head.
A kid blown up in Iraq His name is Ali Lost both arms And his whole family.
US led NATO B52’s Drop 2 thousands pounds of TNT On a baby girl age three Her only crime, born a Slav Her grieving parent’s tears Censored from our ears.
The 5 year old in Afghanistan Chasing butterflies of brilliant hue Picks up a cluster bomb, red, white & blue.
US corporate media whores Smug spinmeisters snugly embedded Slaves of the plundering pilfering pentagon Placate our idols of perversity.
“That’s just the way life is these days”, he said In far away lands Like Palestine Iraq Yugoslavia and Afghanistan. No apologies forthcoming.
That’s just the way life is these days In places near & dear Like NE Portland Inbred incestuous grand jury Hiding behind closed doors Playing the same old ugly discordant tune Politics of Cruelty No justice coming soon.
Now you can put that on your shelf and stroke it Or you can put in your pipe and smoke it Or you can get up, stand up Stand up for your rights Get up, Stand up Never give up the fight!
