“Let Freedom Ring”

By Amany Hajyassin

May 22, 2004

You are a prisoner in Israel

You have been tortured

And abused

You lived in a prison of hell

You have been gone for days

But the days turned into weeks

The weeks turned into months

And the months turned into years

At last, at last

Soon, you are going to be free

Freedom you will breathe

And justice you shall achieve

Kiss the soil of Palestine

Where the blood of martyrs is buried

Let freedom ring

Let it ring from Jenin to Deir Yassin

From Gaza to the West Bank

From Ramallah to Al Quds

Let freedom ring in Palestine

Earth, a planet hungry for peace
