Peace Activists of All Countries: Unite Against War

 

About 30,000 participants in the International social alliance demonstrated in Poto Alegro, Brizil, yesterday against war and calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state (An Nahar, 1/29/03) Yes, some parliaments are not rubber stamps to the executive branch. This is a member of the European Parliament lifting a sign of "Nor War for Oil," while the European Foreign Minister, Solana, giving a speech about Iraq (An Nahar, 1/30/03).
