Although
Our hunger persists
The fast is over
Although
Our thirst unquenched
No joy
No Eid
Thirty days gone by
In a flash
56 years
37 years
Thirty days
Sun up
To
Sun down
The fast is over
Although
Our hunger persists
The fast is over

We hunger
We thirst
No food
Or Water
Will suffice
58 years
39 years
Thirty days
Sun up
To Sun down
We fast
Freedom
Our day of celebration
Our Eid
Till then
