George Galloway response to GQ magazine

a poem

By John Bayldon

Al-Jazeerah, May 29, 2006

The Ballad of Bethnal Green
A song of the gallows and Mr. Galloway MP

Oh! Mr. Galloway,
What a silly thing to do,
You went and answered truthfully,
The questioner from GQ.

You should have dodged the questions,
Like politicians will,
Poor Mr. Galloway, are you evil, mad, or ill?

Oh! Mr. Galloway,
What are you like?
You spoke the word ‘morality’,
The word they use to psyche,
Us into killing someone, to justify a war,
Of well intended cluster bombs and kindly shock and awe.

Oh! Mr. Galloway,
‘Justice’ is just a word,
The notion that one should practice it,
Is really quite absurd.
Killers brought to justice, who kill illegally.
Don’t hold the wholesale franchise, that is held by Tony B.

Oh! Mr Galloway,
When it was put to you,
A Sadducees scenario you answered well and true,
That suicidal homicide would just assist their plan,
But failed to say it would incur the death of one good man.

Oh! Mr. Galloway,
It seems you failed to see,
The difference twixt a murderer and elf-like Tony B,
Why one is of pure evil, while the other we'd admire,
Should the former kill the latter, as most moral men desire?

Let him be the prison hangman, with a strong, piano wire.

The Israeli Land-Grab Apartheid Wall built inside the Palestinian territories, here separating Abu Dis from occupied East Jerusalem. (IPC, 7/4/04).

The Israeli apartheid (security) wall around Palestinian population centers in the West Bank, like a Python. (Alquds,10/25/03).
