War is a Racket by Smedley Butler (July 30, 1881 – June 21, 1940)) is a famous speech denouncing the military industrial complex. This speech by two-time Congressional Medal of Honor recipient exposes war profits that benefit few at the expense of many. Throughout his distinguished career in the Marines, Smedley Darlington Butler demonstrated that true patriotism does not mean blind allegiance to government policies with which one does not agree. To Hell with war.?

It seems as if we've learned nothing!!!

Fox News: says Facebook closed down a pro-Palestinian site

To our Friends:
 
I feel sad. Yesterday as we occasionally watch the clown, Glenn Beck, on Fox News at 5:00 p.m. For the first five minutes rant, he let the audience know that a site on Facebook has been closed down.
 
The site was a pro-Palestinian one that encouraged a third Intifada or something similar. I do not
know what site. If any one of you does know, I'll certainly complain to Facebook. I do not belong
to Facebook, but there must be some way to stop those who would deny our utmost freedoms,
one of which is Freedom of Speech. The more that they get away with, the weaker we are going to become.
 
Can you imagine the daring to stop anyone from seeking freedom in Palestine? Why didn't
they put a stop to all of the other countries able to voice loudly on computers and loudly in the streets their captivity by erroneous governments?
 
One can only guess at which group, which ethnic identity would do this. All the more reason to open up more discussion on the occupation, decades old now, of the Palestinian people under Israel.
