The NATO Dubious Role In Libya By Ali Al-Hail Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, April 27, 2011
Although, pro-'Israel' 'Arab' dictatorial regimes, have no sympathy amongst Arab people, US-Led-NATO's role to 'help' Arab people get rid of US- Led- Western and NATO powers long time- allied 'Arab' dictatorial regimes, has since its involvement in Libya been terribly, dubious. Arguably, many Arab people perceive both, 'Arab' dictatorial regimes, and US-Led-Western powers, including of course, 'Israel' as two faces of one coin. For decades, US-Led- NATO and Western states, have been aware of 'Arab' dictatorial regimes' political corruption, including suppressing Arab people. However, they had never done hardly, anything to alleviate it, much less, stopping it. Many argue that, albeit, they have long, been acknowledging the lack of Arab people's satisfaction toward 'Arab' dictatorial rule, in an absent of Arab collective uprising, in the way it's happening now, US-Led-Western powers, hadn't obviously, felt the need to show an empathy to Arab people's sentiments. Fundamentally, because 'Arab' dictatorial regimes, in varying degrees, have quite often, been their allies in favor to 'Israel', and against Iran. Plus, protecting their interests in the region. The taking of Arab people to streets, has led to Western public opinion's pressures upon US-Led- Western powers to support Arab people. Reluctantly, US-Led- Western governments, began to condemn the use of excessive force by 'Arab' dictatorial regimes against Arab people peaceful demonstrations. In Libya, they have even gone beyond merely, vocal, and oral criticism, into military intervention, allegedly, to assist Libyan people in defeating Kaddafi's security forces. However, the US-Led-NATO forces' performance in Libya, have conceivably, been highly, controversial. One presumes, as do many that, despite its presence, the NATO is doing little to reign in Qadhafi forces' excessive use of force in the city of Misrata. since, apparently, there have been rumors, and speculations amongst the NATO's junta that, there were Al Qaeda's sympathizers amongst anti-Qadhafi forces. The hypocrisy of the West cannot be clearer. The US-Led-Western states, don't feel, as many believe, a sense of guilt for Libyans or other Arab people, for their long-time-support to 'Arab' dictatorial regimes. The NATO intervention in Libya, aims seemingly, at securing their interests in post Qadhafi era, which they overbearingly, envisage it .
