To the Norwegian Doctors in Gaza

a Poem

By Ali Al-Hail

Al-Jazeerah, ccun.org, May 3, 2010

Oh..my beloved friends from Norway;

My sparkling stars from North way;

The roses and flowers flown from far away;

The apple of my 'brown' eye;

You've come all this long way;

To hug me? Oh..I'm releasing a big sigh;

Though, I can laugh, can smile, I also, cry;

I'm sad tonight, please, don't ask why?;

Just let my head rest on your shoulder high;

Put me inside your eye, and shut your eye;

I can feel the warmth of your eyelids, my, my;

I'm not embarrassed, or even shy;

I can be unpredictable, be warned, hey;

Watch over me, and keep a close eye;

Don't leave me alone, and say ba by;

Take me out to the Gaza's bay;

On the cold sand of the bay;

Our tiredness will lay;

We'll wash away;

There, right there, on the bay;

Now, is April, and next will be May;

What could we possibly, say?;

Between "might come", or may;

7th of may! Is far away..far away;

I plan my life day by day;

God knows, what's going to happen today;

Tomorrow, today, and yesterday;

All in God's hand, and God has the say;
