While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

'Hamas official, 'Abdul Ra'hman Shadeed: Trump’s 20-point plan threatens future of the Palestinian cause

Wednesday 1-October-2025

DOHA, (PIC)

'Abdul Ra'hman Shadeed, a senior 'Hamas official, said that the US President Donald Trump’s plan is not aimed solely at 'Hamas as a faction, but rather targets the entire Palestinian people, their factions, rights, core principles, political identity, and the future of their national cause.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Shadeed emphasized that the response to this plan, which poses grave dangers to the future of the Palestinian cause, will be a distinctly national one.

He added that a final response will be issued following ongoing consultations with various Palestinian factions.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, announced a plan to end the war on Gaza. The proposal includes the release of Israeli captives in one batch, the disarmament of the resistance, and in exchange, promises of Israeli withdrawal from parts of Gaza, reconstruction efforts, and the sidelining of Palestinian factions.

'Hamas condemns Israeli attack on Sumud Flotilla

Thursday 2-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement strongly condemned on Wednesday the Israeli navy’s interception of the Sumud Flotilla in international waters and the kidnapping of accompanying activists and journalists, describing it as a treacherous assault, an act of piracy, and maritime terrorism targeting civilians.

In a press statement, 'Hamas stated that this interception represents a barbaric attack on international solidarity activists who were on an urgent humanitarian mission to deliver critical aid to the besieged residents of Gaza, who have been subjected to two years of systematic starvation and genocide.

'Hamas denounced the assault in the strongest terms, asserting that the Israeli navy’s actions constitute a criminal offense that freedom-loving people around the world should condemn.

The Movement also praised the courage of the activists and their determination to break the siege on the Palestinian people, calling on global citizens to organize public demonstrations and protests to express international outrage and condemnation of the Israeli assaults and to demand their immediate halt.

'Hamas called on the United Nations and the international community to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by condemning the Israeli occupation regime acts of piracy, taking urgent measures to protect the activists and their vessels, ending the imposed starvation and genocide against Palestinians, and holding Israeli leaders accountable for their ongoing crimes against humanity.

18 Sumud Flotilla boats intercepted

The Sumud Flotilla earlier confirmed that Israeli occupation forces intercepted 18 of its ships en route to Gaza, prompting widespread international condemnation.

According to updates published on the flotilla’s Telegram channel, the Israeli navy intercepted 18 boats in international waters.

The organizers of the Flotilla affirmed: “Israel’s illegal interceptions will not deter us. We are continuing our mission to break the siege and open a humanitarian corridor.”

They added that at least 30 boats are still sailing toward the Gaza Strip.

The following vessels are confirmed to still be en route, as per fleet tracking data: Adagio, Ahed Tamimi, Alacatala, Amsterdam, Austral, Captain Nikos, Catalina, Estrella & Manuel, Fair Lady, Free Willy, Inanna, Janot III, Mango, Maria Cristina, Marinette, Metik, Miamiya, Mikino, Ohoyla, Paola I, Pavlos Fyssas, Selvaja, Shireen, Summertime, Jong, Vangelis Pissias, Asser and Aysel, Wahoo.

Boats already intercepted by Israeli forces include: Adara, All In, Alma, Aurora, Deir Yassin, Florida, Grand Blue, Hugh, Hoja, Karma, Mohammad Bahar, Morgana, Otaria, Oxygono, Seoul, Sirus, Spectre, Yulara.

Earlier, the Sumud Flotilla reported “hostile behavior” from the Israeli navy against participating boats. The organization posted on Telegram that the vessel Florida was deliberately rammed at sea, while Yulara, Metik, and others were targeted with water cannons.

The Sumud Flotilla further noted that the status of the crews and activists aboard the intercepted vessels remains unknown, but confirmed that Israeli forces detained those onboard the vessel Sirus.

Israeli Occupation Forces hijack Sumud Flotilla, abduct ships to the post of Ashdod

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have hijacked the two ships “Amal” and “Sirius,” which were part of the Sumud Flotilla, kidnapping the activists on board and redirecting the vessels to the post of Ashdod.

This came shortly after Israeli occupation regime warships surrounded the flotilla and communications between the ships were cut off.

The Sumud Flotilla had been on high alert in anticipation of an Israeli interception. Around 20 of the Israeli occupation regime naval vessels were reportedly observed approaching.

Despite the Israeli intimidation tactics and calls from European governments to halt the mission, the Flotilla organizers had earlier stated their determination to continue the journey.

At 12:30 GMT, the Flotilla issued a statement saying they were in the Mediterranean Sea, north of the Egyptian coast, about 118 nautical miles (approximately 220 kilometers) from the Palestinian territory. The statement said, “Early this morning, Israeli naval forces carried out an intimidation operation against the Flotilla.”

It added that the main ship “Amal” was aggressively encircled by an Israeli warship for several minutes. Remote communications were disrupted, forcing the captain to make a sudden maneuver to avoid direct collision.

Shortly after that, the same Israeli vessel targeted the ship “Sirius” with similar intimidation tactics before eventually withdrawing.

Marie Missmer, a French MP from the “France Unbowed” Party and passenger on “Sirius,” reported seeing at least two unidentified ships, one of which came “extremely close.”

She noted that a military intervention vessel “shined a blinding light at us,” and that radar and internet communications were cut off simultaneously, raising the alert level on board.

In a separate statement on X at around 5:00 GMT, the Flotilla announced it would proceed with caution as it entered the area where previous Flotilla were intercepted or attacked, referring to the Madleen and Handala incidents in June and July 2025.

The Flotilla affirmed its commitment to continue its course, undeterred by the Israeli threats and intimidation.

Mission and participants

The Sumud Flotilla, which set sail from Spain in late August, includes around 45 ships carrying hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists from over 40 countries.

The Flotilla is delivering baby formula, food, and medical aid, and describes itself as a “peaceful, nonviolent mission.”

Participants include Mandla Mandela (grandson of Nelson Mandela), Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, French MEP Rima Hassan, and former mayor of Barcelona Ada Colau.

The aim is to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to a besieged population suffering from starvation and genocide.

Efforts to deter the mission

Italy and Spain deployed naval vessels to protect the Flotilla after it was attacked with drones and incendiary devices on the night of September 23–24.

The Flotilla also reported previous drone attacks while docked in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, on September 9.

The Spanish government on Wednesday urged the Flotilla not to enter the waters Israel declared off-limits (150 nautical miles from Gaza), stating that its own ship sent to assist the Flotilla would not cross that line.

Later, Spain’s Defense Minister clarified that the warship “Furor” was monitoring the Flotilla but would only intervene if absolutely necessary. She warned that entering the Israeli-declared exclusion zone could endanger lives.

Likewise, an Italian military frigate assigned to escort the Flotilla halted in the “critical” zone 150 nautical miles off Gaza coast and used radio to urge the participants to abandon the mission.

Organizers condemned the Italian move as an attempt to undermine a peaceful humanitarian mission and accused Rome of siding with Israel.

Calls for international protection

South Africa called on Wednesday for “restraint and protection” of the Flotilla, emphasizing that the physical safety of the unarmed participants is paramount and that “any military intervention or seizure of the ships would be a serious violation of international law.”

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said the Flotilla “poses no threat to Israel” and warned the Netanyahu government not to endanger the mission.

Italy and Greece jointly called on Israel to “ensure the safety and security of Flotilla participants,” and encouraged the organizers to consider the Latin Patriarchate’s proposal to deliver aid through official channels.

Israeli warship harasses Global Sumud Flotilla, organizers accuse Italy of sabotage

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

An Israeli warship approached the Alma vessel, which is leading the Global Sumud Flotilla to break the siege on Gaza, causing a disruption in communications amid heightened alert.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that the Israeli ship came as close as five feet to the Alma, then jammed and disabled communication systems on several flotilla vessels before departing, after which the flotilla resumed its course toward Gaza’s shores.

According to the correspondent, most activists aboard the Alma threw their phones into the sea in line with protocol, which requires doing so once an interception is confirmed.

From aboard the Shireen vessel in the Mediterranean, Al Jazeera’s Hassan Masoud reported spotting a large Israeli warship near the flotilla’s position, as participants maintained the highest level of alert. Journalists also confirmed the presence of a large warship nearby.

Earlier, the flotilla had already declared a state of maximum alert after unidentified, unlit ships were seen approaching. Reports also indicated an Israeli warship had departed Ashdod port and could reach the flotilla soon. Surveillance drones were observed flying at medium altitude above the vessels.

Yasmin Ajar, a flotilla board member, confirmed there were attempts to jam communications and said she expected the flotilla would face an attack or interception within hours. She likened the situation to the interception of the Mavi Marmara.

This escalation follows the flotilla’s rejection of a new appeal from Italy’s foreign ministry and prime minister to turn back from the “danger zone” and instead hand over its aid for delivery to Gaza. An Italian warship even broadcast a warning and invited those who wished to leave to board, a move the flotilla organizers denounced as sabotage of their humanitarian mission.

Last week, Italy and Spain had deployed ships to “escort” the flotilla after it came under drone attacks off Greece, where aircraft dropped stun bombs and irritant materials.

The flotilla’s organizers said Italy’s foreign ministry had informed them that the accompanying Italian frigate would order participants to turn back. The Italian Ministry of Defense later announced that the frigate would withdraw once the flotilla reached 150 nautical miles (278 km) from shore.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated, “I urge the aid flotilla to stop now. Any other choice may hinder peace.”

The flotilla consists of more than 50 boats and hundreds of activists from about 45 countries, including 54 French citizens and 15 Belgians, along with doctors and prominent public figures.

The convoys began departing ports in Barcelona and Genoa late last month, later joined by ships from other nations. In recent days, some vessels were attacked by drones, which organizers blamed on Israel.

Israel has threatened to block the flotilla from entering what it calls a “combat zone,” vowing to enforce the blockade by force. Meanwhile, more than 140 French and Belgian artists, writers, and journalists have urged their governments to provide diplomatic protection for participants.

The Global Sumud Flotilla includes the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Gaza Global Movement, the Sumud Convoy, and Malaysia’s Nusantara Sumud organization. It carries over 500 activists from 40 countries aboard 50 ships, marking the first time dozens of vessels have sailed together toward Gaza, home to about 2.4 million Palestinians under Israeli siege for nearly 18 years.

Greek activists taking part affirmed their determination to reach Gaza, saying they are not afraid of a possible Israeli attack. International organizations, including Amnesty, have called for protection of the flotilla, while the United Nations said that any assault on it would be unacceptable.

This voyage comes amid a dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The UN declared last month that the enclave had entered famine, following Israel’s closure of all crossings since March 2, blocking food, medicine, and fuel.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces backed directly by the United States and Western allies have waged a devastating war on Gaza, killing and wounding more than 234,000 Palestinians to date, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

One killed, others injured in Israeli drone strike

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Lebanese sources reported on Tuesday evening that one person was killed, and several others were injured, after an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Kfara, located in the Bint Jubail district of southern Lebanon.

In a related development, Israel’s Army Radio announced that the military had carried out an assassination in southern Lebanon, targeting a 'Hizbullah member. However, no further details were provided regarding the individual’s identity.

Just a day earlier, two Lebanese civilians were killed in separate airstrikes launched by Israeli warplanes on western Biqaa', in eastern Lebanon and El-Nabatiya in the south.

Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, carrying out repeated air raids on various areas in southern and eastern Lebanon. These strikes are often justified by claims of targeting weapons depots, infrastructure, or Hezbollah operatives. At the same time, Israel maintains its occupation of five strategic hilltops it seized during the recent war.

In October 2023, Israel launched a military offensive on Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war by September 2024. The war resulted in more than 4,000 deaths and nearly 17,000 injuries before a ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024.

ICRC forced to temporarily suspend operations in Gaza City office as hostilities escalate

GENEVA, October 1, 2025 (WAFA) -

The intensification of military operations in Gaza City has forced the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to temporarily suspend operations at its Gaza City office and relocate staff to ICRC offices in southern Gaza to ensure staff safety and operational continuity.

In a statement, the ICRC stressed that, “This comes as tens of thousands of people still in Gaza City face harrowing humanitarian conditions and are in desperate need of more assistance.”

According to the statement, “In Gaza City today, civilians are being killed, forcibly displaced and made to endure dire conditions. First responders, including the Palestine Red Crescent Society and Civil Defence, have been working relentlessly to provide relief but their movement and ability to safely reach the civilian population has been severely constrained.”

The ICRC affirmed that it will continue striving to provide support to civilians in Gaza City, whenever circumstances allow, from its offices in Dair El-Bala'h and Rafa'h, which remain fully operational.

It explained: “This includes providing medical donations to the few remaining health facilities in Gaza City and doing the utmost to facilitate the movements of first responders. In Rafa'h, the Red Cross Field Hospital will continue to be a lifeline for the many wounded patients pouring in.”

The ICRC noted that it has been present in Gaza City for decades, stressing that following the latest intensification of hostilities, its teams remained as long as possible to protect and support the most vulnerable people.

The organization confirmed that it remains committed to returning as soon as conditions allow.

Over the past two weeks, the ICRC said it has provided the few remaining hospitals and health-care centers in Gaza City with life-saving medical supplies as they received a surge in weapon-wounded patients.

It added: “We supported baking facilities in 14 displacement camps that provide 45,000 loaves of bread per day. ICRC teams provided water tanks, trucking services, and supported water and wastewater network repairs alongside local service providers.”

The statement emphasized: “Lives can still be saved today. A cessation of hostilities is imperative and urgent. Under international humanitarian law, civilians must be protected whether they stay or leave Gaza City. Israel, as the occupying power, has an obligation to ensure their basic needs are met.”

It further underlined that, “Medical personnel, units and means of transport, as well as civil defense personnel must be respected and protected. The rapid and unimpeded passage of humanitarian assistance must be allowed and facilitated across the Gaza Strip.”

Hamas: Katz’s threats a prelude to new war crimes

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement said that the threats made by Israeli Army Minister Israel Katz who declared that anyone remaining inside Gaza City would be classified as “a fighter or supporter of terrorism” represent a clear embodiment of “arrogance and disregard for the international community and the principles of international and humanitarian law.”

Katz explicitly threatened the city’s residents with bloodshed should they fail to leave, saying in a statement on Wednesday, “This is a final opportunity for Gaza residents who wish to do so to move south and leave Hamas members isolated inside Gaza City itself, facing the army’s full-scale operations. Those who remain in Gaza will be considered terrorists and supporters of terrorism.”

According to Katz, the Israeli army “is preparing for every scenario and is determined to continue its operations until all hostages (Israelis held in Gaza) are freed and Hamas is disarmed, on the path toward ending the war.”

In a press statement on Wednesday, Hamas stressed that Katz’s remarks pave the way for a new escalation of war crimes against civilians.

The Movement added that what Israeli leaders are committing against the Palestinian people in the Strip, especially in Gaza City, constitutes “a crime of ethnic cleansing and systematic forced displacement carried out brutally and in full view of the world,” noting that the ongoing military operations fall within the scope of war crimes against humanity.

The statement pointed out that the Israeli army continues its assaults by bombing homes on top of their residents and committing massacres. It pointed to the massacre of the Abu Kamil family in Al-Daraj neighborhood, the massacre at Al-Fala'h school in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood which targeted a Civil Defense team, the bombing of a water truck that caused multiple deaths, as well as successive massacres in the central and southern areas of the Strip.

Hamas urged the international community, as well as Arab and Islamic states, to act immediately to stop these unprecedented and grave violations, calling for concrete measures that would deter Israel and push for its leaders to be prosecuted for what it described as crimes against humanity.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli army announced the closure of Al-Rashid Street to Palestinians, allowing only its use for displacement from Gaza City to the south of the Strip. It explained that moving south “will be permitted for those who have not yet managed to evacuate Gaza City. At this stage, the army is allowing the southward movement without inspection.”

For weeks, the Israeli army has been intensifying its bloody bombardment of Gaza City and demolishing its residential buildings in an attempt to force Palestinians to flee, paving the way for the city’s occupation.

Backed by the United States, Israel has since October 7, 2023, been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving 66,148 martyrs, 168,716 wounded, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.

The Israeli occupation forces shut down the coastal Al-Rasheed Street towards Gaza City, in new measure of forced displacement

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOFs) closure of the vital coastal Rashid Street represents “a new crime and arbitrary act” within its ongoing genocide policy against Palestinians.

The IOFs announced in a statement that it would close Al-Rasheed Street to Palestinian civilians, permitting only southward displacement from Gaza City toward the central and southern parts of the Strip.

Rashid Street is the main coastal road linking the north and south of Gaza from its western side. It has become even more crucial since IOFs previously shut down Salah al-Din Street in the east during the ongoing genocide.

In a statement to Anadolu, the PGMO condemned the decision “in the strongest terms,” calling it a blatant violation of Palestinians’ freedom of movement and a continuation of Israel’s collective punishment policies.

“This arbitrary measure is part of the occupation’s tightening siege and genocidal campaign against our people,” the PGMO said, stressing that Israel’s claims of allowing free movement south “are nothing more than deceptive pretexts meant to conceal its crimes of forced displacement and endangerment of civilian lives.”

The PGMO held both Israel and the US administration fully responsible for the catastrophic consequences of this decision, urging the international community and the United Nations to take urgent action to stop “grave violations of international humanitarian law” and guarantee Palestinians’ safe movement inside Gaza.

The IOFs said that Rashid Street would be closed to traffic from the south starting at 12:00 noon, while “those who have not yet evacuated Gaza City will still be allowed to move south without inspection.”

For weeks, the IOFs have intensified its bombardment of Gaza City, leveling residential buildings and forcing civilians to flee as part of a wider strategy to seize control of the city.

Backed by the US, Israel has carried out genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, killing 66,148 Palestinians, injuring 168,716, and causing famine that has already claimed 442 lives, including 147 children.

Gaza death toll reaches 66,148 since start of Israeli aggression in October 2023 - Medical sources

GAZA, October 1, 2025 (WAFA, Anadolu) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 51 bodies and 180 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

Thus, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 66,148, and injuries to 168,716, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

The Ministry underlined that, over the past 24 hours, four civilians have been killed and at least 57 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed in aid-related attacks to 2,580, with over 18,930 others wounded.

According to the ministry, 177 people, including 36 children, have died of starvation since the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in Gaza this August.

On Aug. 22, the IPC declared famine in Gaza City and warned it would spread to central and southern Gaza by the end of September.

Israel has kept all border crossings with Gaza closed since March 2, blocking humanitarian aid and pushing the enclave into famine despite relief trucks piling up at its borders.

Israel occasionally allows very limited amounts of aid to enter, but those shipments fall short of meeting basic needs and have not ended the famine. Most trucks have been looted by gangs that the Gaza administration accuses Israel of protecting.

The relentless Israeli bombardment of Gaza since October 2023 has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases.

On day 726: Key developments in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip enters its 726th day, continuing with aerial and artillery bombardments, deliberate killings of starving civilians and displaced persons, enabled by US military and political support and unprecedented international silence and failure.

The PIC correspondents reported that Israeli forces launched dozens of airstrikes overnight, committing new massacres, worsening the suffering of over two million displaced people enduring extreme famine. The bombardment of Gaza City has intensified in what appears to be an attempt to depopulate and obliterate the city.

Medical sources confirmed that at least 23 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks since early Wednesday morning.

Al-'Awda Hospital reported the killing of a civilian and injuries to another after an Israeli strike on a gathering in Al-Maghazi Bridge area, north of Al-Nusayrat in central Gaza.

One person was killed, and several others injured, in a drone strike on the New Camp, northwest of Al-Nusayrat.

Three civilians were killed in air raids on homes in Al-Nusayrat and Al-Buraij refugee camps.

Seven people were killed and others wounded in a bombing on the Abu Kamil family’s home in Al-Daraj, central Gaza City.

Citizen Hosni Abu Huwaishil was killed in a strike on an apartment in Al-Buraij.

Several citizens were injured in an airstrike on a residential apartment on Al-Thawra Street in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City.

Civil Defense reported a horrific crime committed against their rescue team, who were evacuating the injured and dead from Al-Fala'h School, sheltering displaced families, when it was bombed without warning in the Al-Zaytoun area.

The strike wounded seven rescue and firefighting officers, two of whom are in critical condition: Tariq Ziyad 'Hammad, director of Tel Al-Hawa Civil Defense, and rescuer Mundthir Ra-id Al-Dahshan.

Two more people were confirmed killed in the school strike.

A residential building near City Market in Al-Daraj was also bombed.

Israeli quadcopter drones dropped dozens of bombs on rooftops in Al-Sahaba Street, Al-Daraj.

Further airstrikes hit central Khan Younus and a home near Al-Salam Mosque in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of southern Gaza City.

Backed by US support, Israel’s war of extermination in Gaza has resulted in 66,097 martyrs, 168,536 injuries, over 9,000 missing, mass famine that has already killed hundreds, over 2 million people facing forced displacement and total collapse of infrastructure.

Israeli genocidal air strikes kill and injure several civilians across Gaza

GAZA, October 1, 2025 (WAFA) –

Several Palestinians, including a child and a woman, were killed and others were injured today in Israeli strikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army on Wednesday shelled displaced persons on the Al-Rasheed coastal road in central Gaza, killing four, including a child and a woman.

In Gaza City, one Palestinian was killed and 15 others were injured in Israeli shelling that targeted several areas, mainly Al-Shati Refugee Camp and Al-Thalatheeni Street.

The Israeli army also targeted a tent for displaced people inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, resulting in the killing of one civilian.

Several Palestinians were also killed and others injured in an Israeli bombing targeting a house in Al-Shati Refugee Camp in western Gaza City. One Palestinian was also shot in the Shamaa area of the Old City southeast of Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli shelling struck a residential building near the Latin Monastery Church in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and also targeted the Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood.

A medical source at the Nasir Medical Complex confirmed the arrival of the bodies of two Palestinian aid seekers who were killed by Israeli fire southwest of Khan Younus.

Medical sources reported that hospitals in Gaza City are operating at a minimum capacity, citing the closure of Al-Rasheed Street as a barrier to the entry of medicine into the city.

They further announced that 54 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire and shelling across different areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

One Civil Defense rescuer killed, 6 injured in direct Israeli attack

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army committed a horrific crime against civil defense crews during a rescue operation at Al-Fala'h School, sheltering displaced persons in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, by bombing the site without prior warning in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, the attack resulted in the killing of rescuer Mundthir Ra-id Al-Dahshan and the injury to seven other firefighters and rescue officers, including two in critical condition: Officer Tariq Ziyad 'Hammad, director of the Tel Al-Hawa Civil Defense Center, and rescuer Mundthir Ra-id Al-Dahshan.

Basal emphasized that this blatant Israeli targeting of civil defense crews is not an isolated incident during the ongoing genocide. To date, there have been 27 attacks on first responders in the field and 11 direct strikes on their operational centers.

He stressed that the team was deliberately targeted while visibly performing their humanitarian duty, wearing official uniforms, using clearly marked vehicles, and that Israel ignored all international humanitarian laws and treaties that protect such personnel.

The targeting occurred minutes after the team arrived at the school, which Basal said indicates a deliberate attempt to create a vacuum in humanitarian response efforts in Gaza.

This assault represents yet another violation in a series of systematic attacks against humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip and constitutes a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law, which criminalizes attacks on emergency responders.

Earlier Tuesday, six Palestinians, including a journalist and a child, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group of people in Dair El-Bala'h, central Gaza Strip.

Medical source confirmed that six people, the photojournalist Yahya Barzaq and a child, were killed following the bombing near the Jawwal exhibition in western Dair El-Bala'h.

The Israeli military continues its relentless campaign of genocide against civilians across the Gaza Strip, now in its 725th consecutive day. This includes repeated attacks on displaced persons and those awaiting humanitarian aid, further exacerbating the dire humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the besieged enclave.

Two more Palestinians, including one child, die due to starvation and acute malnutrition in Gaza

GAZA, October 1, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday the deaths of two people, one of them a child, due to malnutrition and famine in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll from famine and malnutrition to 455, including 151 children.

According to Ministry, since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in Gaza, 177 deaths have been recorded to date, including 36 children.

Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are treating hundreds of people of all ages suffering from severe hunger and malnutrition, who are in acute stressful situations.

It indicated that 17,000 children are suffering from severe malnutrition, and patients are also being treated for stress and memory loss resulting from severe hunger. Hospitals lack sufficient beds and medications for the massive number of people suffering from severe malnutrition.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that malnutrition among children under the age of five doubled between March and June as a result of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.

It explained that UNRWA health centers and medical points conducted approximately 74,000 malnutrition tests for children during this period, identifying approximately 5,500 cases of global acute malnutrition and more. 800 cases of severe acute malnutrition.

254 Journalists killed by the Israeli occupation forces, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip

Wednesday 1-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza reported on Wednesday that the number of Palestinian journalists killed by the Israeli occupation forces, during the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, has risen to 254. This follows the announcement of the deaths of journalists Sami Dawood and Ya'hya Mu'hammed Barzakh.

The PGMO confirmed that journalist Sami Dawood worked for Rawafid TV, while Ya'hya Mu'hammed Barzakh collaborated with several media outlets.

The PGMO strongly condemned the “systematic targeting, killing, and assassination” of Palestinian journalists by Israeli occupation forces. It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all media and press organizations worldwide to condemn these systematic crimes against journalists and media professionals in Gaza.

It also held Israel, alongside the US administration, and countries it described as complicit in the genocide, the UK, Germany, and France, fully responsible for these heinous and brutal crimes, according to the statement.

The PGMO urged the international community, global organizations, and bodies concerned with journalism and media to condemn Israel’s crimes, work to deter them, and pursue them in international courts, while demanding justice for the perpetrators.

It also called for serious and effective pressure to stop the genocide, protect journalists and media professionals in Gaza, and end the ongoing killings and assassinations.

Illegal Israeli settlers cut down 300 trees in Al-Khalil

Wednesday 1-October-2025

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)

Israeli settlers cut down nearly 200 olive trees and 100 almond trees belonging to Palestinian families in the town of Sa’ir, east of Al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank. Meanwhile, two young men were injured by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during a raid on al-Faraa refugee camp south of Tubas, where two others were also detained.

'Eisa Shallalda, a local resident, reported that settlers destroyed around 300 trees in the Um El-Butum area: 100 belonging to him, another 100 to his 70-year-old brother 'Izzat, in addition to 100 more belonging to other families. The settlers used electric saws to cut the trees just days before the olive harvest season.

He added that these attacks are part of an ongoing campaign to displace Palestinian residents in favor of settlement expansion. Only last month, settlers torched dozens of dunums of farmland planted with grapevines, olive trees, and almonds in the same area.

Daily settler assaults continue in Um El-Butum, north of Sa’ir, effectively isolating the area and preventing residents from accessing their lands. Local communities have renewed calls on official institutions and human rights organizations to urgently intervene and protect the population.

Separately, the Palestinian Red Crescent said two young men were wounded by live bullets and shrapnel during an IOFs raid on El-Fari'a refugee camp. The IOFs also detained 'Hasan El-Tayih and Yamin Sobu'h after storming their homes and vandalizing their contents, while deploying additional forces across the area.

In parallel with the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the IOFs and settlers have escalated their assaults across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, where according to Palestinian data, at least 1,047 Palestinians have been martyred, around 10,300 injured, and more than 19,000 detained since October 2023.

Israeli occupation forces seize Palestinian’s truck in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), October 1, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli  forces seized a truck belonging to Palestinian resident Na'eem 'Hasan Ghaith from the village of Bait Iksa, northwest of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), after stopping it near a main road.

Eyewitnesses told WAFA that an Israeli military force raided the area and seized the truck, used by Ghaith to transport construction materials, was his family’s sole source of income.

The troops summoned a military crane to lift the truck and transport it to an unknown location, amid tension and objections from residents who were prevented from approaching.

Residents indicated that the seizure of the truck deprives Ghaith of his only job, which provides his family with daily sustenance. This is especially true given his difficult living conditions in a village surrounded by the Apartheid Wall and military checkpoints, where strict restrictions are imposed on the movement of goods and construction materials.

The village of Bait Iksa, home to approximately 2,000 people, is subjected to ongoing attacks by the occupation authorities, including restrictions on construction, the seizure of vehicles and machinery, attempts to seize agricultural land, and restrictions on urban expansion. Residents believe these measures are part of a systematic policy to isolate the village and forcibly displace its residents.

The residents asserted that the occupation is attempting to strangle the village economically and socially by targeting its sources of livelihood and imposing collective punishment. They emphasized that these policies will not deter them from remaining and persevering on their land despite all Israeli practices.

Israeli occupation forces shut down Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) for Yom Kippur

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), October 1, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening shut down the occupied West Bank city of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), citing Yom Kippur as a pretext, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces blocked dozens of traffic arteries in occupied East Jerusalem, restricting Palestinian movement to their neighborhoods and disrupting their lives, at a time when Israeli colonists were allowed to move freely in and outside the Old City.

They added that the occupation authorities deployed reinforcements across the city, setting up blocks around the Old City, Al-'Amoud, and al-Khalil Gates, and sealing off roads leading to the neighborhoods of El-Shaikh Jarra'h, El-Musrara, and Wadi El-Joaz.

They affirmed that the occupation authorities persisted in taking advantage of Jewish holidays as a pretext to impose tightened movement restrictions on Palestinians, in stark contrast to colonists who enjoy full freedom of movement.

Israel severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement within the occupied West Bank through a complex combination of 1,200 fixed and flying checkpoints and gates, including 18 gates that have been installed since the start of 2025 and 146 others installed in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, settler-only roads, over 200 military bases, and various other physical obstructions.

Closures besides other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 58-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project, which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.

Amnesty International calls on FIFA, UEFA to suspend Israeli Football Association from tournaments over colonies in Palestine

LONDON, October 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

Amnesty International sent a letter on Wednesday to FIFA and UEFA calling on them to suspend the Israeli Football Association (IFA) from their tournaments until it excludes clubs based in illegal colonies in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) from continuing to play in Israel’s football leagues.

“As Israel’s national football team gears up for World Cup qualifiers against Norway and Italy, Israel continues to perpetrate genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Over 800 athletes, players, and sports officials are among the more than 65,000 people Israeli forces have killed in a deliberate campaign of wholesale devastation, forced displacement, and starvation of civilians,” said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General.

At the same time, she said, Israel is brutally expanding its illegal colonies and legitimizing illegal outposts in the West Bank as part of its unlawful occupation of Palestinian Territory, adding that it is nothing short of a disgrace that the IFA is still allowing clubs from these colonies to keep playing in its leagues, after multiple warnings for more than a decade.

There are at least six clubs based in settlements in the OPT currently playing in Israeli leagues, in violation of both international law and FIFA’s own statutes. Article 64.2 of FIFA’s statutes states that “Member associations and their clubs may not play on the territory of another member association without the latter’s approval.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
