In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules. 2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet. 3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel. 4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed. 5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists. The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies. In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain. 6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people. Click here for more about using the apostrophe and the underlining of letters in the transliteration of Arabic names. *** *** UN experts: Undercover Israeli killings in Jenin hospital may amount to war crime GENEVA, Friday, February 9, 2024 (WAFA) – Israel’s apparent extrajudicial killings of three Palestinian men at the Ibn Seena hospital in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank may amount to grave violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, UN experts warned today. On 29 January, around 10 armed members of the Israeli occupation sneaked into the hospital disguised as doctors, nurses, and female civilians. They were captured on CCTV bringing a wheelchair and a doll in a baby carrier into the hospital. After entering a rehabilitation ward, Israeli forces shot dead Basel Ayman Al-Ghazzawi, a patient being treated for serious injuries from an Israeli airstrike three months ago, his brother, Muhammad Ayman Al-Ghazawi, and another visitor, Mu'hammed Waleed Jalamna. “Israel is always required to respect international human rights law and international humanitarian law,” the experts said. “In occupied territory under Israeli control, outside active hostilities, at most Israeli forces may have been entitled to arrest or detain them. They could only use force if strictly necessary to prevent an imminent threat to life or serious injury. Instead, Israel chose to murder them, in flagrant violation of their right to life,” they said. In addition, under international humanitarian law, “killing a defenseless injured patient who is being treated in a hospital amounts to a war crime,” the experts said, referring to Basel Ayman Al-Ghazzawi. "By disguising themselves as seemingly harmless, protected medical personnel and civilians, the Israeli forces also prima facie committed the war crime of perfidy, which is prohibited in all circumstances,” the experts said. “We call on Israel to conduct an effective investigation, in line with international law, with a view to prosecuting and punishing those responsible for committing, ordering, and assisting in these alleged crimes, while putting in place procedures to prevent future arbitrary killings and provide reparations to the victims,” the experts said. They emphasized the international community’s long-standing concern at Israel’s culture of impunity in relation to alleged international law violations by its personnel. In the absence of a prompt investigation into the killings, the experts urged an investigation by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. “We urge all parties to fulfil their international legal obligations to ensure respect for international law, including human rights and humanitarian law in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, and to cooperate with current investigations by the International Criminal Court,” the experts said. M.N. *** UN Committee: More than 10 children in Gaza lose their legs every day Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The head of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, Anne Skelton, said, “today, there is no child in the Gaza Strip free from fear, pain and hunger.” Skelton pointed out that “some children in Gaza lost their lives, and others lost their limbs, parents, siblings, and friends.” She underlined that on average, more than 10 children in Gaza lose one or both legs every day since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The number of Palestinian martyrs as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to about 27.9 thousand martyrs, the majority of whom are women and children. The number of the wounded has mounted to 67.4 thousand since last October 7, according to a new tally published by the Ministry of Health in Gaza on Friday. *** Right-wing Israeli protesters block humanitarian aid to Gaza at Nitzana crossing Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) Right-wing Israeli extremists, along with relatives of prisoners held in Gaza, closed the roads leading to the Nitzana crossing on Friday, preventing the passage of humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The Hebrew website Walla reported that Israeli protesters closed the Nitzana crossing to prevent trucks carrying humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip. The website stated that the protesters prevented supply trucks from entering the Gaza Strip, declaring that “no aid will pass until the last captive is returned,” referring to Israeli prisoners in Gaza. Israeli extremists and relatives of prisoners held by the resistance are staging protests on the roads leading to the Karm Abu Salim and Nitzana crossings to prevent the passage of humanitarian aid trucks to Gaza. The World Food Program warned on Thursday that the risk of famine in the Gaza Strip is increasing daily, adding that the arrival of aid to the city of Gaza is not enough to prevent famine. *** GMO warns of humanitarian catastrophe in northern Gaza due to escalating famine Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The Government Media Office (GMO) confirmed that the famine in northern Gaza is escalating, holding the US and Israel fully responsible for its dangerous repercussions. In a statement on Friday, the GMO said, “We hold the United States of America, the Israeli occupation, and the international community fully responsible for the escalation of famine in North Gaza Governorate.” It stressed that the northern governorate of Gaza Strip “has run out of flour, rice, food, in addition to grains and animal feed that the citizens of North Gaza were forced to eat amid the ongoing siege and genocidal war.” “We demand the immediate entry of a thousand trucks daily into northern Gaza until it recovers from the famine and its effects,” the GMO said. The residents of the Gaza Strip in general, and in North Gaza and Gaza City in particular, are suffering from a comprehensive siege in conjunction with the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation since October 7. *** Satellites imagery reveals massive destruction in Gaza, 72% of Gaza City destroyed Friday 9-February-2024 Al-Quds (Jerusalem), (PIC) An Israeli report, based on satellite imagery, revealed massive destruction caused by the Israeli army’s aggression on the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war on October 7. Hebrew Channel 12 said that European satellite imagery showed that at least 68 percent of the buildings were destroyed or damaged in the northern Gaza Strip, at least 72 percent in Gaza City, 39 percent in the central camps, and 46 percent in Khan Younus. As for the city of Rafa'h in the south of the Gaza Strip, where Israel threatens to carry out a military operation, the destruction rate reached about 20 percent. In December, the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza announced that the Israeli army had demolished more than 61 percent of Palestinian homes in the Strip. The GMO said in a statement that “the Israeli occupation destroyed more than 305,000 housing units as part of its broad genocidal war against our Palestinian people.” Since October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving tens of thousands of casualties among civilians, most of them are children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction. *** Euro-Med: Israel attacks the remaining medical infrastructure in Gaza Strip Friday 9-February-2024, GENEVA, (PIC) At the start of the fifth month of its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, Israel has not stopped targeting what is left of the health system and sabotaging any chance it may have to save Palestinian lives by firing and bombarding hospitals, ambulances, and medical teams, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement issued Friday. Euro-Med documented several serious Israeli military attacks in the last few days, which have disrupted the partial return of hospital services, particularly in Gaza City and its northern regions. These attacks are part of a larger Israeli attack that has been affecting the health sector since October 7. In this regard, Euro-Med teams have documented the killing of Mu'hammed Al-'Omari, a paramedic at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), and the wounding of two other paramedics—one with shrapnel in his eye, the other in his chest—after an Israeli sniper opened fire at their vehicle in Gaza City on Wednesday evening, February 7, while evacuating wounded people from Gaza City hospitals to the southern region despite their prior coordination with the Israeli army. The Israeli occupation army targeted the Medical Development Foundation in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex on the same day, according to the Euro-Med Monitor, resulting in five displaced people being killed. The report also stressed that the Israeli air raids and bombings, which included dropping leaflets urging residents to evacuate, will result in putting this hospital out of service and disrupting any attempt to resume its work, especially that the hospital has been subjected to massive Israeli military attacks in November, including bombing, storming, and purposeful destruction of its departments, buildings, and equipment. Artillery shelling and gunfire targeted the Al-'Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip twice this month, according to Euro-Med, which emphasized that Israel is still preventing the delivery of fuel and medical supplies necessary for the hospital to be able to reopen. The human rights organization further demanded that an independent international investigation be launched immediately into the war crimes and grave violations that Israel has committed against hospitals, medical personnel, and medical transports in the Gaza Strip. These violations included turning numerous hospitals into combat zones, the extrajudicial killing of Palestinians, and denying health care to all Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, which puts their lives in danger. The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor further demanded that efforts be made to bring those responsible for these crimes and violations—as well as those who gave the orders—to justice at all levels of the legal system, including the International Criminal Court. *** PRCS: Patients at Al-Amal Hospital at risk Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) warned that patients’ lives at Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younus are at risk. The Khan Younus hospital will run out of fuel in four days’ time, PRCS declared. It added that the hospital has already run out of oxygen and that this is putting patients’ lives at risk The besieged hospital is suffering from an acute shortage of anesthesia and intensive care medication, as well as surgical supplies. The hospital has been under siege by Israeli forces for nearly two and a half weeks and is under constant attack. In the last 24 hours alone, the PRCS reported that the hospital took fire multiple times from Israeli small arms and vehicles, injuring patients and displaced Palestinians sheltering there. “Our yard has become a cemetery. Every day, we lose a patient,” a hospital staff member said yesterday. Since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster. The Israeli occupation destroyed the only supplies of fuel, electricity, water, and food for the people of the Gaza Strip at the start of the conflict by bombing bakeries, factories, stores, water stations, tanks, and other infrastructure. *** WHO: Everyone in Gaza is hungry, many are starving Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that infectious diseases are spreading in the Gaza Strip. Hunger is weakening people’s ability to fight off disease, it said in an X post. “Without enough food, more people will become sick and die. The suffering needs to end.” Along the same line, United Nations Humanitarian Aid Coordinator Martin Griffiths said that displaced families in Rafa'h, south of the Gaza Strip, lack the basic necessities to survive and are stalked by hunger, disease, and death. With the Gaza hostilities entering their fifth month, hope is dwindling for the millions of people affected and the humanitarians striving to assist them, Griffiths added. He said, “More than half of Gaza’s population is now crammed in Rafa'h, a town of originally 250,000 people right on Egypt’s doorstep. Their living conditions are abysmal—they lack the basic necessities to survive, stalked by hunger, disease, and death.” Since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster. The Israeli occupation destroyed the only supplies of fuel, electricity, water, and food for the people of the Gaza Strip at the start of the conflict by bombing bakeries, factories, stores, water stations, tanks, and other infrastructure. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime ForcesOn February 9, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 13 massacres, in which 107 Palestinian civilians were killed, and 142 were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the death toll in Gaza Strip to 27,947 and the injuries to 67,459, since October 7, 2023. *** *** 107 Palestinians killed in 13 massacres by Israel in Gaza in last 24 hours GAZA, Friday, February 9, 2024 (WAFA) – The occupying Israeli regime perpetrated a total of 13 massacres against civilian families in the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours, resulting in a documented 107 fatalities and the injury of 142 others, according to local health authorities in Gaza. Medical sources further reported that some of the victims and wounded individuals are still trapped under the rubble and on the streets, as Israeli occupation forces are deliberately obstructing the access of ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them, exacerbating the challenge of rescuing the victims due to limited resources. Health authorities also confirmed that the Israeli forces intentionally killed 340 healthcare workers, detained 99 others, and destroyed 123 ambulances during their ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has persisted for 126 consecutive days. In a related incident, a young man was shot dead by Israeli snipers near the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younus. Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike in the vicinity of the complex, coinciding with artillery shelling. By February 8, 2024, in a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has resulted in more than 27,840 confirmed fatalities, including over 12,000 children. Additionally, over 67,317 people have been injured. M.N. *** Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 126, the horrors continue Friday 9-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC) Israeli occupation forces continue to commit the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip for the 126th consecutive day, through dozens of airstrikes, artillery bombardment, and the use of fire belts, while committing bloody massacres against civilians and carrying out horrific crimes in infiltration areas, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation resulting from the siege and the displacement of more than 90% of the population. Our correspondents reported that the Israeli aircraft and artillery continued their intense airstrikes and shelling on various areas of the Gaza Strip on Friday, with a focus on Khan Younus and an escalation of the bombing in Rafa'h, targeting the homes and gatherings of displaced persons and streets, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and casualties. Seven martyrs among the displaced were killed when they were forced by the occupation forces to leave two schools in the Khan Younus refugee camp. Earlier, the occupation forces forced the displaced persons in the Shaikh Jabr and Qandila schools in the Khan Younus camp to leave immediately. Our correspondent reported the martyrdom of four citizens and the injury of others this morning in Khan Younus, including two as a result of gunfire from an Israeli army quadcopter at a school housing displaced persons in the vicinity of the Return Schools east of Khan Younus, and the other two were martyred by the Israeli snipers in the vicinity of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younus. An Israeli warplane also carried out a raid targeting a house near the Palestine Bank in Jabalya Al-Balad, north of Gaza. In the early morning, 13 martyrs and dozens of casualties were reported in Dair El-Bala'h, Rafa'h, and the central and southern Gaza Strip. Our correspondent reported the martyrdom of four citizens in the occupation’s shelling of a kindergarten housing displaced persons in the town of Al-Zawayida, and a martyr from the shelling of a house in Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, eight citizens were martyred in Rafa'h, five of them are women and three children, in the house of the Al-Sayid family, and three martyrs from the Al-Na'h'hal family. At least 18 others were injured as a result of various airstrikes on Rafa'h. *** More civilian casualties in Gaza as Israel's genocide campaign continues unabated GAZA, Friday, February 9, 2024 (WAFA) – Multiple civilian casualties were reported across the Gaza Strip over the last hours as the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign carried on across the besieged enclave, according to local and medical sources. In Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed nine Palestinians and injured 11 others in various neighborhoods of the city. Medical sources reported that the bodies of the nine martyrs and the 11 wounded were transported to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital after being targeted by Israeli sniper fire in the southwest of Gaza City. Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes of the city, while artillery shelling targeted a house near the 'Haydar roundabout, west of the city. Meantime, the number of individuals killed by Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younus since the early morning hours has risen to 10, including 8 killed by Israeli sniper fire and continuous shelling on the Nasser Medical Complex and its surroundings. Two more individuals were reported killed near the Al-'Awda Schools, which accommodate displaced persons in the town of 'Abasan, east of Khan Younus. Israeli occupation forces further carried out airstrikes on Khan Younus, especially in the vicinity of the Nasser Medical Complex. They also stormed the Al-Amal Hospital, affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. The Red Crescent reported a complete failure of communication with its teams working at Al-Amal Hospital due to the ongoing Israeli incursion. It held the occupation responsible for the safety of their teams, the wounded, and the patients. Meanwhile, Israeli forces forcibly evacuated displaced citizens from the Al-'Awda Schools complex. Occupation forces used bulldozers to demolish homes in the vicinity of the schools and destroyed a residential block west of Khan Younus. In Rafa'h, southern Gaza, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes east of the province and near the Egyptian border. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its teams transferred the bodies of three martyrs and several wounded due to an Israeli strike on a house in Rafa'h. In a separate incident, casualties were reported after an Israeli airstrike targeted a house at the eastern entrance of Bait 'Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip. The occupation also carried out an airstrike east of Jabalya refugee camp. Another Israeli artillery shelling hit a location east of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the injury of a citizen. In a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has resulted in more than 27,947 confirmed fatalities. Additionally, over 67,000 people have been injured. M.N. *** *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces
