3 Palestinians, 4 Israelis Killed, Scores Injured, Abducted, Triggered by Israeli Attacks and Provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque May 7, 2022 Editor's Note: While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Israeli Occupation Army Seriously Injures A Palestinian Near Qalqilia MAY 7, 2022 On Saturday, Israeli occupation soldiers shot and seriously injured on Palestinian land near the illegal Annexation Wall in Hibla village, south of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia. The Health Ministry confirmed that the young man, 21, was rushed to Darwish Nazzal governmental hospital in Qalqilia after suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder. It added that the young man bled profusely after the shoulders shot him and delayed the arrival of the ambulance after closing the area. The army frequently attacks and fires at Palestinian workers and farmers near the Annexation Wall in several parts of the occupied West Bank. Israeli Occupation Navy Attacks Palestinian Fishing Boats In Rafah MAY 7, 2022 Israeli occupation navy ships attacked, Saturday, Palestinian fishing boats near Rafah shore, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Fishermen Syndicate said the navy ships fired many live rounds and used water cannons in attacking the Palestinian fishing boats near the Rafah shore. The Syndicate added that the attack did not lead to casualties but forced the fishermen to return to the shore without being able to fish to provide for their families. Thousands of families in the besieged coastal region depend on fishing as their sole source of livelihood but are subject to constant violations, including confiscating their boats. The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen. In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Three Children Near Ramallah MAY 7, 2022 On Saturday dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded Sinjel village, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and abducted three children. Media sources said the soldiers invaded and ransacked several homes and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards. They added that the soldiers abducted three children, Ala’ Haitham Asfour, 11, Mohammad Thaer Ghafri, 13, and Yousef Amad Asfour, 13. During the invasion, the soldiers closed many roads around the village and were extensively deployed in the surrounding area. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Detonate A Palestinian Home In Jenin MAY 7, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers detonated, Saturday dawn, the home of a Palestinian detainee in the Silat al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. Media sources said dozens of soldiers invaded the town, stormed the home of Omar Ahmad Jaradat, and wired its interior walls before detonating the property. The sources added that the invasion was conducted by more than a hundred military vehicles, including Israeli Combat Engineering Corps members. The invasion led to protests in the town before the soldiers shot three young men with live fire, causing moderate-but-stable wounds. The soldiers also assaulted and injured a young man, Mohammad Nasser Abu Salah, while standing in front of his home before abducting him. Ahmad Yassin Jaradat, the father of three detainees, Montaser, Gheith, Omar, and Ahmad’s wife, who were all abducted in December, said the soldiers invaded the home approximately at 2:20 after midnight deploying sharpshooters on its rooftops. He added that the soldiers also invaded more than 100 homes in the town and deployed sharpshooters on their rooftops. The soldiers then invaded, ransacked the property, and wired the home before demolishing it. The soldiers also forced all families in the surrounding homes to leave their properties during the detonation of the home. “While Israel claims and tells the world about its so-called democracy, it continues to impose illegal collective punishment measures on entire families, punishing children, women, and elders,” he said, “Israel continues to violate International Law, continues its illegal, criminal, and unjust policies. It creates more determined generations to continue the liberation struggle; their punitive measures aren’t a deterrent but a motivation for continuing the fight for independence. On April 6th, the Israeli Supreme Court approved the diction to demolish the home, stating that he was allegedly involved in the fatal shooting that led to the death of an Israeli colonizer, Yehuda Dimantman, 20, near Nablus, in the northern West Bank. On December 20th, the army invaded the Jaradat family home and took measurements of the property in preparation for demolishing them. The army has already demolished two other homes owned by the family. Israel’s policy of home demolitions is an illegal act of collective punishment that violates International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various international resolutions. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians Near Nablus MAY 6, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers injured many Palestinians, including two children, during protests in Beit Dajan, Beit Dajan, and Qaryout, near Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. The Palestinians marched on their lands in Qaryout village, south of Nablus, and Beit Dajan, east of the city, protesting the constant attempts by the illegal Israeli colonizers to occupy their lands. Israeli soldiers fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Beit Dajan. The soldiers also injured caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Qaryout village, especially after the illegal colonizers and the soldiers invaded the village’s spring. In Beita town, south of Nablus, the soldiers attacked the weekly procession and fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets at the nonviolent protesters. Medical sources said the soldiers shot two children, 13 years of age, with rubber-coated steel bullets in the legs, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Attack Nonviolent Protesters Near Hebron MAY 6, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers attacked, Friday, nonviolent Palestinian protesters in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, in an area that the military illegally annexed to dedicate as a “firing zone.” The Palestinians marched to their lands in the al-Mastaba area in Wadi al-Jawaya, east of Yatta, to affirm their rights on their lands and to reject the illegal Israeli policies and violations. The soldiers assaulted many Palestinians and started pushing them out of their lands and attempting to abduct some of them. It is worth mentioning that the Israeli High Court in occupied Jerusalem recently denied an appeal filed by the Palestinians from twelve communities in the area after the military declared then lands a “closed military zone” that would be used for live-fire military training. The ruling would lead to the communities’ demolition and displacing of at least four hundred Palestinians from their dwellings. The twelve communities are Janba, al-Markaz, al-Halawa, al-Fakheet, at-Tabban, al-Majaz, Maghayir al-Abeed, Safa al-Foqa, Safa at-Tihta, at-Touba, Khallet ad-Dabe’ and al-Mafqara. Illegal Israeli Settlers Injure A Shepherd Near Hebron MAY 6, 2022 On Friday, illegal Israeli settlers attacked and injured a Palestinian shepherd near Um al-Kheir village in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. Rateb Jabour, the Protection and Steadfastness Committees coordinator in Southern Hebron, said the colonizers came from an illegal outpost they recently installed on stolen Palestinian lands. Jabour added that the colonizers assaulted Omar al-Hathalin, wounding him in the shoulder. The colonizers also attacked Omar’s sheep, breaking the legs of some of them. It is worth mentioning that Masafer Yatta witnesses constant violations by the colonizers and the soldiers as part of the attempt to illegally annex the Palestinian lands to build and expand the colonies. All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law. Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.” Israeli Occupation Army Abducts Four Palestinians Near Ramallah MAY 6, 2022 On Friday dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted four Palestinians from Turmus Ayya Palestinian town north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah. The soldiers invaded and ransacked many homes in the town and interrogated many Palestinians before abducting four men. The abducted Palestinians have been identified as Wa’ed Awad Abu Samra, Anas Ziad Jabara, Abdullah Ali Rateb, and his brother Abdul-Rahman. In addition, the soldiers invaded the al-Janiya village west of Ramallah, leading to protests. The soldiers also abducted a young Palestinian man from Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank. In addition, Israeli colonizers from the Gush Etzion illegal block south of Bethlehem hurled stones at many Palestinian cars driving on the main Jerusalem-Hebron Road. Illegal Israeli settlers torch vehicles, vandalize property in West Bank MAY 6, 2022 NABLUS, Friday, May 06, 2022 (WAFA) – Extremist illegal Israeli settlers embarked on a fresh wave of attacks in the north and middle of the occupied West Bank last night, torching Palestinian-owned vehicles in the village of Urif, in Nablus province, and attacking and vandalizing property in other areas, according to local and Palestinian security sources. In the village of Urif, south of the city of Nablus in the north of the West Bank, settlers sneaked into the village in the middle of the night and torched three vehicles belonging to three local Palestinian citizens, all from the Shehada clan. Meantime, groups of extremist Israeli settlers rampaged through the Israeli military checkpoints of Huwwara and Za’tara, also located to the south of Nablus, and physically attacked Palestinian vehicles and pelted stones at many others, causing damage to some vehicles and bodily injuries. In the middle of the occupied West Bank, a group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles at the entrance to the village of Mukhamas, to the northeast of Jerusalem, and terrified passengers. No injuries were reported. Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace across the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities. There are over 600,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law and consensus. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Two Palestinians Near Ramallah MAY 6, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers injured, Thursday night, two Palestinians in Deir Abu Mashal village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah. Media sources said several army jeeps invaded the main entrance area of the village, leading to protests. The sources added that the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs at the protesters. The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers shot two young men with rubber-coated steel bullets in their heads, causing moderate-but-stable wounds. Palestinian medics rushed the two injured Palestinians to the Istishari Medical Center in Ramallah. Illegal Israeli Settlers Injure Palestinians, Cause Damage To Cars, Near Nablus MAY 6, 2022 Illegal Israeli settlers attacked, Thursday, many Palestinian cars near the Huwwara military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, wounding several Palestinians and causing damage to many cars. Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in the northern West Bank, said the colonizers gathered near the Huwwara Israeli military roadblock, not far from where the soldiers are stationed. He added that the colonizers hurled stones at many Palestinian cars, causing damage and wounding several Palestinians. A similar attack took place near Douma town, south of Nablus, causing damage to the windshield of at least one Palestinian car. Also, the colonizers closed the main Jenin-Nablus Road in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, preventing the Palestinians from crossing. Israeli occupation regime court green-lights forcible expulsion of Masafer Yatta hamlets” MAY 6, 2022 HEBRON, Thursday, May 05, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation regime top court Wednesday gave the army the green light to forcibly expel the residents of Masafer Yatta communities in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. The Israeli occupation regime High Court ruled in favor of the forcible displacement of some 1,300 Palestinians living in twelve villages or hamlets making up the Masafer Yatta area, which relies heavily on animal husbandry as the main source of livelihood, marking one of the largest expulsions carried out by the State of Israel in recent decades. The court published the ruling on Wednesday overnight, just ahead of Israel’s so-called “Independence Day”, Israel’s “Independence Day”, which saw the ethnic cleansing of 750,000 to one million indigenous Palestinians 74 years ago and turning them into refugees to establish a Jewish-majority state in Palestine, striking down the petition submitted by Masafer Yatta families against a 1981 military order designating the area Firing Zone 918. The court’s move effectively leads to the confiscation of over 35,000 dunams of land, where agricultural communities have lived for generations, to consolidate colonial settlement construction in the area. Located in Area C of the West Bank, under full Israeli administrative and military control, the area has been subjected to repeated Israeli violations by settlers and soldiers targeting their main source of living – livestock. It has been designated as a closed Israeli military zone for training since the 1980s and is accordingly referred to as Firing Zone 918. Israeli violations against the area include the demolition of animal barns, homes, and residential structures. Issuance of construction permits by Israel to local Palestinians in the area is non-existent. Masafer Yatta mayor, Nidal Younes, said that the court has ignored all evidence, all the facts and evidence submitted by the families over the last 22 years showing that they have been permanently residing in the area since before the 1980s. The Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem slammed the court ruling as being intended to forcibly transfer hundreds of Palestinians from their homes and destroy their communities with “the clear purpose of taking over their lands in the service of Jewish interests” “The justices have thus proved once again that the occupied cannot expect justice from the occupier’s court,” it added. “The decision, weaving baseless legal interpretation with decontextualized facts, makes it clear that there is no crime which the high court justices will not find a way to legitimize. Employing sugarcoated language, hypocrisy, and lies, the justices once again fulfilled their role in Israel’s regime of Jewish supremacy and paved the way for the crime of forcible transfer to be committed, while reversing reality: the ruling cast Palestinian victims as the “unlawful” offenders, while portraying the apartheid regime as the victim.” It urged the international community to prevent Israel from forcibly transferring the communities and “make sure, should this crime be committed, that those responsible for it – including government ministers, the military top echelons, and the supreme court justices – will be held accountable.” Meanwhile, the Alliance for Human Rights, a group of activists documenting human rights abuses in Palestine, launched an online campaign to save the community. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Dozens Of Palestinians In Al-Aqsa MAY 5, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers injured dozens of Palestinians in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the al-Qibli Mosque in the holy compound, in the occupied Palestinian capital Jerusalem, in the West Bank. Dozens of soldiers and police officers invaded the courtyard of the holy site and assaulted many Palestinians with batons before firing dozens of rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs, causing dozens of injuries. The soldiers also surrounded dozens of worshipers in the al-Qibli Mosque and attacked them, causing injuries. The army and the police also assaulted Palestinian journalists and forced them out of the courtyards of the holy site in preparation for allowing dozens of colonizers into the holy compound. It is worth mentioning that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet issued orders allowing the illegal colonizers to invade and tour the courtyards of the holy site to celebrate “Israel’s independence,” the illegal occupation and colonization of occupied Palestine. The Israeli police said Al-Aqsa would be open to the colonizers from 7:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 1:30 to 2:30 in the afternoon. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct The Deputy Director Of the Waqf Department In Jerusalem MAY 5, 2022 On Wednesday evening, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted the deputy director of the Islamic Waqf and Endowment Department in the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank. Media sources said the soldiers abducted Dr. Najeh Bkearat after stopping him at a military roadblock southeast of occupied Jerusalem. Before abducting the Palestinian official, the soldiers stopped dozens of cars and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards. In related news, the soldiers invaded the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and fired many gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets at Palestinians who protested the invasion. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Two Children In Bethlehem MAY 5, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers abducted, Wednesday evening, two Palestinian children north of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank. Local sources said the soldiers invaded the eastern area of ‘Aida refugee camp before abducting two children, Haitham Lutfi Da’amsa, 13, and Akram Jaber al-A’raj, 14. After abducting them, the soldiers took the two abducted children to a military base near Bethlehem. The soldiers also stopped and interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards. In related news, the Israeli army abducted a young Palestinian man who reportedly breached the perimeter fence in the southern part of the Gaza Strip and took him to an interrogation facility. Three Israeli Men Killed in Attack in Elad MAY 6, 2022 Israeli sources reported that on Thursday night, three men were killed in Elad, and four others injured, in an attack apparently carried out by two Palestinians, who were seen on security cameras in the vicinity carrying a firearm and an axe. The three men who were killed were identified as Yonatan Havakuk, 44, Boaz Gol, 49, and Oren Ben Yiftah, 35. Israeli police identified the two suspects in the attack as As’ad Refa’ey, 19, and Sobhi Emad Abu Shaker, 20, from Rommana, near Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. They launched a massive manhunt for the two alleged attackers throughout Israel and the West Bank. Israeli police said in a statement, “We have special police forces in the field, Shin Bet [Intelligence Service] forces, helicopters, and other combat units. According to estimates, the two are still in the area, and we are doing everything to apprehend them.” The Israeli military announced the extension of the closure of the Palestinian Territories (West Bank and Gaza Strip) until Sunday. The Israeli military, which rules all aspects of life for the Palestinian population of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, had imposed a closure on Tuesday in celebration of Israel’s ‘Independence Day’ on Thursday. On that day, Israelis celebrate the creation of Israel in 1948 on what was, at the time, the state of Palestine. Israel’s creation on the land led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian residents, turning them into refugees. The town of Elad, where Thursday’s attack took place, was built atop the Palestinian town of Al Muzayri’a, which was “depopulated” by Zionist militias during the Nakba (Catastrophe – which is how Palestinians describe the displacement they experienced when Israel was created) in 1948. The closure imposed on the West Bank and Gaza Strip includes the prevention of travel for all five million Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip – both outside the Territories and between different areas internally. Hundreds of Israeli military checkpoints installed throughout the West Bank prevent the Palestinians from traveling to work, school, or to visit relatives. The closure came in the midst of a five-day holiday celebrated by Muslims at the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, known as Eid al-Fitr. This is usually a time of celebration and visiting relatives — but such visits and celebrations were prevented by the Israeli military’s restrictions on Palestinian travel throughout the week. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced the attack and said that the killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians would only lead to further deterioration and obstruct the efforts to avoid escalation and achieve peace and stability. Abbas also denounced the serious Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, including the constant Israeli invasions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attacks against Muslim and Christian worshipers in occupied Jerusalem that have been frequent and violent during Muslim and Christian holiday celebrations over the past month. Abbas added that “real and comprehensive peace that achieves stability and the legitimate Palestinian rights of liberation and independence is the safest and shortest war to achieve stability and security for both the Palestinians and the Israelis, and the entire region.” At least 47 Palestinians, including 8 children, were killed by Palestinians, and 16 Israelis (all adults) were killed by Palestinians in 2022. Israel Palestine Timeline – 2022 Deaths US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken issued a statement just hours after the attack – before the perpetrators were identified and the details confirmed — condemning the incident as a horrific terrorist attack targeting innocent civilians. Blinken has not condemned any of the killings of 47 Palestinians, 8 of whom were children, that have taken place since the beginning of 2022. At least 1623 Palestinians, including many women and children, have been injured by Israeli soldiers and colonizers in several parts of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip since the beginning of 2022. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Young Palestinian Man Near Qalqilia APR 30, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers killed a young Palestinian man on Saturday dawn after several military vehicles invaded Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. Local sources said the invasion led to protests in the town before the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades. Medical sources at Darwish Nazzal Hospital in Qalqilia said the young was shot with a live round that went through his heart and exited from his back. The slain Palestinian has been identified as Yahia Ali Adwan, 27, from Azzoun; he was also a former political prisoner and has a brother who is imprisoned by Israel at the Negev Detention Camp. The Israeli army first abducted Yahia in 2010 when he was only fifteen years of age and was imprisoned for ten months. He was abducted again in 2013 and was released in 2016 after being imprisoned for 41 months. He was also abducted for the third time in 2019 and was imprisoned for sixteen months, then abducted two more times in 2021. The total number of years he spent in Israeli prisons and detention centers is seven and a half years. Palestinian medics tried to revive the seriously wounded young man before rushing him to the hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead. Dozens of armored military vehicles conducted the invasion before the soldiers fired many live rounds at the Palestinians to force them away, leading to protests. Azzoun is subject to constant Israeli invasions and violations by the Israeli soldiers who repeatedly storm and ransack homes, especially at dawn, and abduct many residents. Also, at dawn, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked a bus filled with worshipers heading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, wounding several Palestinians. Late Friday night, Israeli sources reported that a security guard at the Ariel illegal colony in the occupied West Bank was shot dead by Palestinian fighters who managed to escape unharmed. As a result, the army and internal security initiated a massive search campaign. Israeli Occupation Soldiers Attack Muslim Worshipers In Al-Aqsa APR 28, 2022 Israeli occupation soldiers attacked, Thursday dawn, many Muslim worshipers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem after dozens of soldiers invaded its courtyards through the al-Magharba gate. The soldiers fired many gas bombs at the Palestinians to force them out of the holy compound, causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. The army also used drones to fire the gas bombs at the Palestinians and occupied many rooftops after surrounding the holy compound. The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said approximately 250.000 worshipers made it to the holy site to pray in Al-Aqsa to mark the al-Qader Night (the holies night in Islam). Thousands of soldiers and police officers were also deployed in the Old City and around Al-Aqsa before installing many roadblocks. PCHR Press Release: “IOF Kill 2 Palestinians and Wound 6 Others including 2 Children in the West Bank” APR 28, 2022 The Palestinian Center For Human Rights – PCHR: Ref: 49/2022 – Date: 27 April 2022. Time: 10:00 GMT: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed 2 Palestinians and wounded 6 others, including 2 children, in two separate incidents during their incursions into Jenin and Jericho in the West Bank. These murder crimes reflect IOF loose shooting standards against Palestinians, allowed without threat or real danger to soldiers’ lives. This is conducted with the support of the Israeli political level, assuring a legal covering for murder crimes against Palestinians by the highest political level in Israel. PCHR investigations into the murder of a Palestinian man from Jenin showed that IOF moved into Jenin and its refugee camp at approximately 17:30 on Wednesday, 27 April 2022. IOF raided several houses and arrested several civilians. The locals gathered and threw stones and empty bottles at the IOF vehicles, while the soldiers started shooting live and rubber-coated bullets, sound, and tear gas bombs at them. As a result, one Palestinian was killed and 3 others were wounded, including one child. The killed victim was identified as Ahmed M. F. Masad (21) from Burqin, western Jenin. He was shot with a live bullet in the head as IOF withdrew from the area at nearly 07:00. Masad was present on a hill overlooking Jenin-Haifa Road, west of the city. Additionally, PCHR’s fieldworkers investigated the murder of another Palestinian man in Jericho. At approximately 01:15 on Tuesday, 26 April 2022, a unit of the Israeli Mista’arvim unit sneaked into Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, southern Jericho. The unit used a white Mercedes-Benz truck and stationed in al-Jamee st; they attacked Abu-Mousa al-Ajouri’s workshop and arrested 2 civilians present inside the workshop: Mohammed Mousa al-Ajouri (50) and his son Mousa (26). Meanwhile, a large IOF troop moved into the refugee camp; a group of young Palestinians gathered and threw stones and empty bottles at the IOF vehicles, while the soldiers started shooting live and rubber-coated bullets, sound, and tear gas bombs at them. As a result, 4 Palestinians were wounded, including one child. At the time, one of the wounded civilians, Ahmed I. Owaidat (20), was in critical condition with a live-bullet injury in the head. He was taken to the emergency room at Jericho governmental hospital, and then transferred to Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah. He underwent a 4-hour head surgery. At approximately 09:00, he was pronounced dead due to severe injury to the head with a live bullet that penetrated the brain. So far this year, the Israeli occupation forces killed 41 Palestinian, including 32 civilians of them were 8 children and 3 women. The others are active members of armed groups, 3 of them were extrajudicially executed. Moreover, hundreds of others sustained wounds in IOF attacks, including women and children, across the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. PCHR reiterates its call upon the international community to take immediate action to stop the Israeli occupation’s crimes and reiterates its call upon the High Contracting Parties to the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention to fulfill their obligations under Article 1; to respect and ensure respect for the Convention in all circumstances and their obligations under Article 146 to prosecute persons alleged to commit grave breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention; noting that these violations are considered war crimes in accordance with Article 147 of the Convention and in accordance with the Additional Protocol I of the Convention to guarantee the right of protection for Palestinian civilians in the occupied territory. Israeli Security Guard Killed In A Shooting Attack In Ariel APR 30, 2022 Israeli sources have confirmed that the security guard was officially identified as Vyacheslav Golev, 23, adding that he moved to live with his fiancé in Ariel just a few weeks prior to the shooting. They added that Golev, from Bet Shemesh, who also studied at Ariel University, got engaged a few weeks before the fatal shooting. Israeli sources have reported, late Friday night, that a security guard at the Ariel illegal colony in the occupied West Bank was shot dead by Palestinian fighters who managed to escape unharmed. As a result, the army and internal security initiated a massive search campaign. The sources said the shooting was conducted with an improvised Carl Gustave submachine gun, adding that the guard is 23 years of age. Israeli Ynet News said video footage from the scene of the fatal shooting shows two persons stepping out of a car before running up to the guard and shooting him. One of the shooters returned to the car, made a U-turn, and picked up the other person before speeding away, Ynet added. Israeli medics said they tried first aid after arriving at the scene, but the guard had no pulse and wasn’t breathing before they pronounced him dead due to his serious wounds. A few hours after the shooting, the Israeli army closed the iron gate near Qarawat Bani Hasan town, on the main road leading to villages and towns west of Salfit, and prevented the Palestinians from crossing. The soldiers briefly detained and interrogated dozens of Palestinians and searched many cars. The Israeli army and Shin Bet (Israel’s Internal Security Agency) initiated a massive search campaign in the entire area, especially north and west of Salfit. The army said it found a burnt car believed to be used in the fatal shooting. The soldiers also installed many roadblocks, blocking main roads and isolating entire Palestinian communities. The army invaded and ransacked many Palestinian homes and shops on Kafr Thuluth, Beit Amin, and Sanniriya, near Qalqilia, during the ongoing search for the shooters and confiscated surveillance recordings and equipment. *** Share the link of this article with your facebook friendsFair Use Notice This site contains copyrighted material the
