By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

Three Palestinians killed by IOF in W. Bank and Naqab (Negev)

Three Palestinian young men were killed on Tuesday morning by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in separate incidents in the West Bank and Naqab (Negev).

According to local sources, one young man was shot dead and seven others suffered bullet injuries during an IOF operation intended to arrest a wanted citizen in

Red Crescent official Ahmed Jibril affirmed that 17-year-old Nader Rayan was shot dead by IOF gunfire in Balata camp.

Local sources explained that the IOF stormed Balata camp through al-Quds street and kidnaped a wanted citizen called Ammar Arafat after encircling his house.

They added that local youths clashed with Israeli soldiers during their arrest operation in the camp.

Five other young men were reportedly injured when the IOF used live ammunition during the events. One of them was a 14-year-old teenager who was rushed in critical condition to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.

Resistance fighters also opened fire at IOF vehicles in al-Quds street upon their withdrawal from the camp.

About two hours later, another Palestinian young man was killed by IOF gunfire in Qalandia refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem, according to local media sources.

The Palestinian health ministry identified the victim as Alaa Shaham, adding that six other young men were also injured by live ammunition during clashes between the IOF and local youths in the camp.

In Negev, a Palestinian young man was also killed by plain-clothes police officers at dawn in Rahat City.

The Israeli police claimed their forces came under fire during an attempt to arrest suspects in Rahat, adding the slain young man was found in possession of a pistol and ammunition.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Teenager, Injure three In Balata, Nablus

IMEMC, March 15, 2022

On Tuesday at dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, killed a Palestinian teenage boy, and injured three young men.

Media sources said several armored military vehicles invaded the al-Quds Street in Balata, stormed and ransacked the home of Ammar Arafat before abducting him.

They added that the soldiers immediately started firing live rounds and a barrage of gas bombs after invading the refugee camp, leading to protests.

They added that the soldiers fired many live rounds at the protesters, in addition to gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets.

Medical sources in Nablus have confirmed that the soldiers fatally shot Nader Haitham Rayyan, 17, in addition to causing moderate-to-severe wounds to three other Palestinians. Palestinian medics rushed the slain child and the wounded Palestinians to Rafidia hospital in Nablus.

Palestinian Dies From Serious Wounds He Suffered In Nablus

On Wednesday at dawn, Palestinian medical sources confirmed that a young man died from severe wounds he suffered a week earlier, after Israeli occupation soldiers shot him near Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The slain young man has been identified as Ahmad Hikmat Saif, 23, from Burqa village, north of Nablus.

The Israeli occupation soldiers shot the young man with three live rounds in the chest and leg during protests that erupted when the army invaded Burqa.

Ahmad had undergone several surgeries and remained in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit in a hospital in Nablus until he succumbed to his serious wounds.

The medical director of the an-Najah Hospital in Nablus, Dr. Abdul-Karim Barqawi, said Ahmad suffered a gunshot wound to the spine before the bullet lodged in his lung and two bullets in the left thigh and leg.

He required twenty-five units of blood due to severe bleeding in the chest and abdomen and was hooked to respiratory machines but remained in a critical condition due to the severe damage to his internal organs.

Dr. Abdul-Karim added that Ahmad suffered severe bleeding when one of the bullets severed the main artery and required intensive treatment of his internal organs severely damaged by the bullets.

The soldiers shot Ahmad when they invaded the western area of Burqa and attacked dozens of Palestinians who marched in solidarity with political prisoners held by Israel and facing constant violations of their rights.

Burqa and surrounding villages witness constant Israeli invasions and violations by the soldiers and the illegal colonialist settlers, who repeatedly try to reoccupy Palestinian lands in and around the location of the former Homesh colony, which Israel evacuated in the year 2005.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian In Jerusalem

On Monday evening, Israeli occupation soldiers killed a young Palestinian man after he reportedly stabbed two soldiers near Bab al-Qattanin leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Israeli sources said two soldiers were moderately injured in the stabbing incident before the soldiers shot and killed the Palestinian.

Dozens of soldiers and police officers were deployed in the area after the incident before the army closed the entire area.

The Palestinian has officially been identified as Abdul-Rahman Jamal Qassem, 22, from the al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and lived in the nearby town of Jifna.

A surveillance video from the scene shows the soldiers surrounding the wounded Palestinian after the officers shot him; he was lying on the ground before an officer fired the fatal shot, although the Palestinian at the time posed no threat due to his severe wounds.

The soldiers also attacked many Palestinians in the area and closed all gates leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, before preventing the worshippers from entering the holy site.

In related news, Israeli sources claimed two soldiers suffered mild wounds after being struck by a Palestinian car during an invasion into Silat al-Harithiya town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

The army claimed that the incident was a deliberate attack, adding that the soldiers arrested the driver and took him to an interrogation facility.

Abdul-Rahman is the fifth Palestinian to be killed by Israeli soldiers in the first week of March 2022.

On March 6th, the soldiers killed Yamen Nafez Jaffal, 16, after the army invaded Abu Dis town, east of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, from the at-Tour town, in Jerusalem, after shooting him near Bab Hutta gate, north of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

On March 1st, 2022, the soldiers killed Ammar Shafiq Abu Afifa, 21, near Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, and Shadi Najm, 18, in Jenin, in the West Bank.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Child In Jerusalem

 IMEMC, March 7, 2022

Israeli occupation soldiers killed, on Sunday evening, a Palestinian child in Abu Dis town, east of occupied East Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Media sources said several army jeeps invaded the town, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

They added that the soldiers shot Yamen Nafez Jaffal, 16, with a live round and prevented Palestinian medics from approaching him, and he subsequently bled to death. The soldiers later took his corpse away.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers fired many gas bombs at the Palestinian ambulance and the medics, forcing them away and causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Israeli army claimed the slain child hurled a Molotov cocktail at Israeli military vehicles invading Abu Dis before the soldiers fatally shot him and added that the soldiers also fired live rounds at another Palestinian who managed to escape unharmed.

The soldiers also invaded and ransacked a home in the town, causing damage, before adducting a young man, identified as Majd Warni.

In related news, the soldiers invaded the at-Tour town, in East Jerusalem, before firing gas bombs and concussion grenades at Palestinians protesting the invasion.

On Sunday at dawn, Israeli soldiers killed Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, from the at-Tour town, in occupied Jerusalem, after shooting him near Bab Hutta gate, north of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Shadi Mitwer, the secretary of the Fateh Movement in occupied Jerusalem, said the Israeli escalation is a calculated ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians in the holy city.

“We are the natives of this holy city, and we are here to stay,” Mitwer said, “This escalation and these crimes will just push us to be more determined to continue our struggle until liberation and independence.”

Update: The slain Palestinian has been officially identified as Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, from the at-Tour town, in occupied Jerusalem.

Dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers, police, and intelligence officers invaded his home and ransacked the property before abducting his mother, and his brother Mohammad, in addition to summoning the father for interrogation.

Karim is also a former political prisoner, abducted when he was a teenager and was imprisoned for 18 months.

After killing the young man, the soldiers isolated the entire area and prevented the Palestinians from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque and many parts of the Old City.

On Sunday at dawn, Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man near Bab Hutta gate, north of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the occupied capital Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers shot the young man and left him bleeding without first aid until he succumbed to his wounds.

They added that the soldiers fired a barrage of live fire at the young men, and left him bleeding, before closing the entire area, including all gates leading to Al-Aqsa.

Israeli daily Haaretz claimed the Palestinian stabbed and moderately injured two officers before being shot dead.

Haaretz quoted the Israeli police claiming that the Palestinian approached the officers at 4:30 at dawn, before pulling a knife and stabbing one of them, before the officers shot him.

However, it did not explain how the second officer was injured, but only said: “two officers were injured moderately during the attack.”

Dozens of soldiers and police officers were also sent to the area, and initiated extensive searches in the street and alleys, especially around Al-Aqsa.

Illegal Israeli Settlers Fires At Two Schools Near Bethlehem

On Sunday morning, an illegal Israeli settler fired several live rounds at two schools in Tuqu’ town, east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

The Administrative Director of the Palestinian Directorate of Education, Bassam Jaber, said the colonizer stepped out of an Israeli bus and fired several live rounds at the schools.

He added that the attacked schools are al-Khansa’ Elementary School and the al-Jarqaq School.

He added that the attack caused damage and resulted in several schoolgirls suffering anxiety attacks in their classrooms.

After firing the live rounds, the colonizer left the area and returned to it shortly afterward with several other colonizers, Jaber stated.

Dozens of soldiers later invaded the area before the two schools had to close for the day after sending the girls to their homes in fear of further assaults and violations by the paramilitary colonizers.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Fire At Palestinians On Their Lands In Gaza

On Sunday morning, Israeli occupation soldiers fired many live rounds and gas bombs at Palestinians in the central and the southern parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Media sources said the soldiers stationed on military towers across the fence, east of the Central District, fired many live rounds and gas bombs at Palestinian bird hunters on lands near the fence, forcing them to leave.

They added that the soldiers also fired several live rounds and gas bombs at farmers while working on their lands, east of the al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, forcing them to leave.

On Saturday night, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted a Palestinian on land close to the perimeter fence, east of Khan Younis.

The army frequently attacks farmers, shepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of casualties, including fatalities, and preventing the Palestinians from tending to their lands from fishing to provide for their families.

In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.

Illegal Israeli Settlers Attack Three Woman Near Bethlehem

 IMEMC, March 13, 2022

On Saturday, illegal Israeli settlers attacked three Palestinian women in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Local nonviolent activist Ahmad Ghazal said the colonizers attacked Samaher Obeyyat, Nayfa, and her sister Fatima Obeyyat while picking Gundelia plants from the village’s lands.

Ghazal added that the colonizers also pepper-sprayed the three women and forced them out of the lands.

The illegal Israeli settlers have recently escalated their violations against the Palestinians in Kisan, including targeting farmers and shepherds to force them out of their lands, in addition to several incidents where Israeli soldiers abducted many residents fending off the colonizers’ attacks.

These violations include releasing dogs to chase and maul the Palestinian farmers, firing live rounds at them, physically attacking them, and forcing them out of their lands, in addition to various incidents of cutting and uprooting trees.

The colonizers attacked a Palestinian shepherd in Kisan on Friday before Israeli soldiers abducted him instead of removing the assailants.

In related news, the illegal Israeli colonizers installed a new outpost on stolen Palestinian land in the Birin area, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Occupation Army Injures Many Palestinians In Kufur Qaddoum

 IMEMC, March 11, 2022

On Friday, Israeli occupation soldiers injured many Palestinians during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Morad Eshteiwi, the spokesperson of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Qalqilia, said the Palestinians marched from the center of the town while chanting against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, its colonies, and constant violations.

He added that this week’s procession also comes in solidarity with the Palestinian political prisoners facing constant assaults and dire living conditions in Israeli prisons.

The procession was also held to support the Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah, facing displacement and escalating violations in occupied Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation soldiers attacked the procession with many gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets, causing dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers, driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians Near Nablus

Israeli occupation soldiers injured many Palestinians during processions in Beita and Beit Dajan, south and east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, said the soldiers shot three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets in Beita.

The soldiers also caused several others to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Sbeih Mountain in Beita.

He added that one of the wounded, a child, only twelve years of age, was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet.

Jibril also said the soldiers caused at least five Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Beit Dajan.

For about a year, the Palestinians have held weekly processions in Beita and Beit Dajan after illegal Israeli colonizers occupied Sbeih Mountain and installed an outpost on the privately-owned Palestinian lands.

The Israeli attacks against the protesters have led to hundreds of casualties, including several fatalities.

The Mountain, owned by the Palestinians, has significant strategic importance, especially since if the colonizers occupy it, the colony will lead to the annexation of 20 Dunams of Palestinian lands and would also lead to the isolation of a large area of Palestinian lands.

Israeli Occupation Navy Attacks Palestinian Fishing Boats In Rafah

Israeli occupation regime navy ships fired, Thursday, many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats near the shore of Rafah, in the southern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Media sources said the navy fired a barrage of live ammunition at Palestinian fishing boats, forcing them to leave.

They stated that the attack took place in Palestinian waters not far from the shore of Rafah and added that the violation did not lead to casualties.

On Tuesday, the soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinian farmers on their lands in the central and southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.

Israeli Occupation Army Abducts Sixteen Palestinians In West Bank

On Monday at dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded many communities across the occupied West Bank, stormed and ransacked dozens of homes before abducting sixteen Palestinians, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed.

Undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated, on Monday at dawn, Beit Rima town, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, before storming a home of a Palestinian lawyer and kidnapping him.

Also, the soldiers abducted nine Palestinians from their homes in several parts of the Hebron governorate, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

In related news, the soldiers invaded the Saff Street in the center of Bethlehem city, in the occupied West Bank, Marah Rabah village, and Shepherd’s Field area in Beit Sahour, before searching homes and abducting three Palestinians.

It is worth mentioning that Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers invading Tubas city in the northeastern West Bank. The soldiers searched and ransacked a few homes during the invasion and abducted one Palestinian.

Protests also took place when the soldiers invaded Betunia town, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and abducted one Palestinian.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Three Palestinians In Bethlehem

On Monday at dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded the Saff Street in the center of Bethlehem city, in the southern occupied West Bank, Marah Rabah village, and Beit Sahour city, before searching several buildings and abducting three Palestinians.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded Saff Street, in the center of Bethlehem city, and abducted Abbas Mohammad Shehada from his home.

The sources added that the soldiers also invaded Marah Rabah village, south of Bethlehem, searched several homes, and abducted Khalil Qassim Sheikh and Ahmad Qassem Sheikh.

The Israeli occupation soldiers also invaded a construction site for the Shepherds’ Field Hospital and a nearby greenhouse in Beit Sahour, east of Bethlehem, before violently searching them.

Israeli Occupation Army Abducts A Palestinian Near Khan Younis

On Saturday night, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted a Palestinian on land close to the perimeter fence, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Media sources said the man was on Palestinian agricultural lands close to the perimeter fence east of Khan Younis when the soldiers pointed their guns at him and abducted him.

They added the Palestinian, in his twenties, did not breach the fence but was on Palestinian land near it when the soldiers abducted him.

The army frequently attacks farmers, shepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of casualties, including fatalities, and preventing the Palestinians from tending to their lands from fishing to provide for their families.

Undercover Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kidnap A Lawyer Near Ramallah

 IMEMC, March 14, 2022

Undercover Israeli occupation soldiers infiltrated, on Monday at dawn, Beit Rima town, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, before storming the home of a Palestinian lawyer and kidnapping him.

Media sources said the undercover soldiers, driving a car with forged Palestinian license plates, infiltrated Beit Rima before invading the home of Bara’ Jawdat Rimawi, 28, and kidnapped him.

They added that the soldiers smashed the property’s front door before storming it and conducted violent searches that led to excessive property damage.

Shortly after the undercover soldiers broke into the home, several army jeeps invaded the town, leading to protests, and secured the retreat of the undercover officers. The army also fired several live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the protesters.

Also, the soldiers abducted nine Palestinians from their homes in several parts of the Hebron governorate, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Twenty-Four Palestinians In West Bank

 IMEMC, March 10, 2022

On Thursday at dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted at least twenty-four Palestinians, including siblings, from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank after the soldiers invaded many communities and violently searched dozens of homes. The army also shot one Palestinian with live fire in Bethlehem.

In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, many army vehicles invaded Silwad town, northeast of the city, searched homes, and abducted Farid Abdul-Halim Hammad, 49, Qassem Riyad Hammad, 36, Abdul-Rahman Jibril Hammad, 20, and Khalil Hasan Hamed, 36.

The soldiers also detained a former political prisoner, Bassam Abdul-Rahma Hammad, 48, along with Luay Noah Hammad, 36, and Mohammad Jibril Hammad, 30, and released them after a few hours of interrogation.

It is worth mentioning that Bassam is the father of Anas Hammad, 21, who Israeli occupation soldiers killed on December 4th, 2015.

In Beitin village, northeast of Ramallah, the soldiers abducted Raed Taye’ Hamed, the head of Beitin Village Council, after invading his home and searching it.

The soldiers also invaded Beit Rima town, northwest of Ramallah, and searched homes before abducting two former political prisoners, Abdul-Rahman Rimawi and Wisam Mteir al-Asmar.

Another former political prisoner, Wisam Qatesh, was abducted from his home in Ein Yabrud village, east of Ramallah.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded the as-Samu town, south of Hebron in the southern part of the West Bank, and abducted Hamza Mohammad Rawashda after invading his home and searching it.

In Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, the soldiers invaded and searched several homes before abducting Odai Hasan Hammash, 29, and Mohammad Nidal Abu Aker, 26, in addition to shooting a young man during ensuing protests.

In Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers, including undercover units, invaded Jaba’ and Deir Abu Da’if towns and abducted six Palestinians, including four siblings.

Local sources said Israeli undercover soldiers infiltrated the Ja’ba town, southwest of Jenin, before breaking into homes and abducting four siblings, Rashad, Mohammad, Ghazi, and Emad, the brothers of the Secretary of Fateh movement in Razi Amin Ghannam.

They added that regular army units surrounded the home before breaking into it and interrogated the family for a few hours while violently searching the property.

The soldiers informed the family that they also wanted to arrest Amin, but he wasn’t at home and told them he needed to head to the nearby military base.

In addition, the soldiers abducted Mo’in Alawna from his home in the town after storming his home and searching it.

In Deir Abu Da’if town, east of Jenin, the soldiers abducted Mohammad Mahasna, after invading his home and ransacking it.

In Qalqilia, also in northern West Bank, the soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes before abducting Mohammad Jom’a Salim, Moath Islam Radwan, Mohammad Bilal Radwan, Salah Yacoub Sweidan, Adel Faleh Dahbour, Mahmoud Hasan Salama, and Mustafa Bilal Enaya.

Israeli Occupation  Regime to Demolish Palestinian-owned Home Near Bethlehem

Israeli occupation regime issued, on Wednesday, a demolition order targeting a Palestinian-owned home in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, a local official revealed.

Anwar Ghazal, the Deputy Head of the Kisan village Council told the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) that the military handed a Palestinian citizen a demolition order against his family home in the village under the pretext of building without a license.

The demolition order was issued against the 140-square-meter home which will render the family of 5 homeless, two years after the army demolished two homes belonging to the same family.

The Israeli occupation frequently imposes demolition orders against Palestinian families, forcing them to be displaced, in contravention of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which states;

“Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.”

Israeli Occupation Army Issues Demolition and Stop-Work Orders to School, Shelters and Barns Near Hebron

Israeli occupation authorities issued, on Monday, a demolition order for a school and stop-work orders for eight other Palestinian-owned structures in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to a local activist.

Rateb al-Jabour told the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) that Israeli soldiers delivered demolition orders against a newly constructed school in Masafer Yatta.

The school was built by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to serve 50 students from Masafer Yatta, which consists of 19 hamlets.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation army handed eight Palestinian citizens stop-work orders against shelters and animal barns in the Shaab al-Batn community of Masafer Yatta.

The orders were issued under the pretext that the structures were built in what is known as ‘Area C’, under full Israeli civil and military control, as dictated by the Oslo Accords.

Threat Of Demolition Looms Over Twenty Palestinian Homes Near Jericho

The Israeli occupation army issued demolition orders against twenty Palestinian homes in the ad-Dyouk at-Tihta village, west of Jericho, in northeastern West Bank.

The Israeli occupation army claims the homes were constructed without permits from the so-called “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine.

However, the homes are all built on privately-owned Palestinian lands that had ownership deeds from the government of Jordan before the year 1967, when Israel occupied the rest of Palestine.

One of the Palestinians, Maan Tannous, 39, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that he, his wife, and two children, built their two-story home on lands they own in the village.

He added that the property is only 120 square meters and was licensed by the Palestinian Authority in Jericho.

“We live in a residential area that is under the jurisdiction of the City Council in Jericho and receives the services, such as water and electricity, directly from it,” Tannous stated, “We used to be renters; however, we decided to build our home on our land two years ago, and we are still paying the loan installments.”

The village is subject to frequent Israeli violations, including home demolitions and pending destruction orders due to the illegal Israeli colonialist activities.

Essam Smeirat, the secretary of the Fateh movement in Ein Dyouk at-Tihta, said ten homes in the area face Israeli demolitions, which would also lead to the displacement of about sixty Palestinians, primarily children.

Three years ago, Israel demolished fifteen Palestinian homes in the village and continues to try to confiscate its lands to isolate it from Jericho city, in addition to the villages of Dyouk al-Foqa village and An-Nuway’imah. The village is home to approximately 1300 Palestinians, primarily farmers.

Israeli Occupation Regime Approves Plan To Build 730 Colonialist Units In Occupied Jerusalem

The Israeli occupation  regime approved the construction of 730 units for illegal colonialist settlers in Pisgat Zeev illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands in Beit Hanina, north of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

The newly approved segregated units would be built on about 70 Dunams and would include 730 units in fourteen residential towers, each containing twelve floors.

Israeli sources said the plans also included 21,000 square-meters used to construct commercial buildings and employment spaces, in addition to 16 Dunams that would remain open space, for a park.

All of the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”

Journalists Support Committee: “Israel” Targeted More Than 260 Journalists in 2021

The Journalists Support Committee said that the Israeli occupation soldiers targeted more than 260 journalists in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem last year, including 13 during the aggression on the Gaza Strip last May. Many of them sustained injuries and permanent disabilities that affected their professional work.

In a statement received by Quds Press, today, Sunday, on the occasion of the “Day of the Palestinian Wounded,” the committee stated that “the Israeli forces use, on a daily basis, internationally prohibited weapons against the Palestinians in general and journalists in particular.”

The “Journalists Support Committee” affirmed that;

“the occupation’s continuous attempts to target journalists and pursue media crews aims… to discourage them from continuing their role in exposing the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people.”

The committee called on the official Palestinian, Arab and international human rights institutions to shed light on the suffering of wounded Palestinian journalists, provide them with care, and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against them, by international institutions and bodies and the Security Council.

The Committee to Support Journalists, which was established in 2016, works in several Arab countries, and is active in “defending the rights of journalists and promoting freedom of the press and media broadcasting throughout the region.”

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Invade Palestinians Lands In The Gaza Strip

Several armored Israeli occupation military vehicles, including bulldozers, invaded Palestinian farmlands in several parts of the besieged Gaza Strip and bulldozed them in addition to firing many live rounds and smoke bombs.

Media sources said two tanks and eight bulldozers invaded Palestinian agricultural lands in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the coastal region, and fired many live rounds while bulldozing the lands and installing sand hills near the perimeter fence.

They added that the soldiers, stationed on military towers across the fence, east of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, fired many live rounds and smoke bombs at Palestinian farmers east of Abasan al-Jadeeda and the al-Qarara towns, forcing them to leave, before several vehicles invaded the lands.

In addition, the soldiers fired many live rounds at farmers east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza city, forcing them to leave.

The army frequently attacks farmers, shepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of casualties, including fatalities, and preventing the Palestinians from tending to their lands from fishing to provide for their families.

In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.

On Monday at dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded many communities across the occupied West Bank, stormed and ransacked dozens of homes before abducting sixteen Palestinians, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed.

Silwanic: Sheikh Jarrah to the Forefront of Events… Dozens of Arrests and Demolitions… Repression and Abuse

Jerusalem issued its monthly report for the month of February, during which it monitored the attacks and violations carried out by the Israeli occupation regime in the city of Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem said that Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood has returned to the forefront of events and random arrests have returned in the city, and the occupation municipality has continued to implement and issue demolition decisions for facilities in the city.

Sheikh Jarrah

On February 13th, the extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben Gavir moved his office to the center of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood (the western part), calling for permanent police protection for a settler residing inside the neighborhood. O days before that, settlers attacked the residents of the neighborhood and their property with stones, pepper spray, pursuit and threats. With the approaching date for evacuating the Salem family from their home, the Jerusalemites announced an open sit-in inside the neighborhood to protect the residents and locals from attacks.

The center said that Knesset member “Ben Gavir” placed his office in the middle of the neighborhood on the confiscated land of the Salem family, and turned the street into a closed military barracks, by placing barriers at its entrances, and preventing entry to it except for residents, with the requirement to present an ID card/ On the first day of the office’s placement, confrontations broke out between Palestinians and occupation forces and settlers. Over the course of the following weeks, the settlers continued to provoke the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood by storming it, organizing marches in it, and raising the Israeli flags under the pretext of “supporting MK Ben Gavir”, who works from the center of the neighborhood.

Photo: Silwanic The center added that the police are trying to prevent residents, Jerusalemites, and solidarity activists from sitting in the neighborhood, and deliberately storming the sit-in area, confiscating chairs, smashing tables, and putting out “burning wood” used for heating. They also break into homes and threaten residents with arrest and prosecution, prevent the raising of Palestinian flags and forcibly confiscate them, and clear the street of protesters and set up roadblocks at all entrances.

On the 22nd of February, the occupation court froze the decision to “evacuate the Salem family” from their home, and consequently the decision issued by the “Execution and Procedure Department” pending a decision on the appeal submitted to the court, which was accompanied by various allegations.

Repression and abuse on the anniversary of the Isra’ and Mi’raj

On February 28, the occupation forces suppressed the celebrations of the Palestinians on the anniversary of Isra’ and Mi’raj during their gathering and presence in the Damascus Gate area in Jerusalem. The forces threw sound bombs and randomly sprayed waste water, used rubber bullets and assaulted the people with batons, to prevent them from sitting and being in the area. They also conducted random arrests against 20 Jerusalemites, most of them children.

Settlers’ assault

At the end of last February, an illegal Israeli settler shot two brothers near the Hizma checkpoint, northeast of Jerusalem, injuring them variously.

The information center stated that the two brothers, Jawad and Muhammad Abu Khadija, were shot by a settler, after their vehicle collided with each other.

Arrests

The occupation authorities continued to carry out arrests in the city of Jerusalem. The Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem monitored 166 arrests, including “3 children below the age of responsibility (less than 12 years old), 53 minors, 9 females, including a girl.”

The information center added that the arrests from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the streets of Jerusalem “Damascus Gate and the streets near it”, recorded about 70 arrests, including about 15 arrests from residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and the rest were field arrests during the repression and prosecution of Jerusalemites. Most of the detainees were released, provided that they are expelled from the place of detention for periods ranging from 3 days to two weeks.

Photo: Silwanic The occupation authorities also issued deportation decisions from Al-Aqsa, the Old City and Jerusalem, and the center monitored 7 deportation decisions for periods ranging from two weeks to six months.

Demolitions

The occupation authorities continued to carry out demolitions in the city of Jerusalem, where the Wadi Hilweh Information Center monitored the demolition of 18 facilities in Jerusalem, of which 7 were demolished by their owners, including “12 residential facilities, 5 commercial facilities, and a hall.”

The center explained that among the demolished houses was the house of the martyr Fadi Abu Shkheidem in Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

The occupation forces stormed the headquarters of the “Alms/Zakat Office” in Al-Aqsa Mosque, near the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall. They searched it, checked files and papers, and confiscated many files.

Sada Social: Double Standards of Social Media Platforms (February 2022)

Sada Social issued its monthly report, warning against the failure and double standards of social media

Sada Social Center monitored a number of violations and abuses carried out by the administration of social media sites against Palestinian content during February as the Center documented more than 30 violations against Palestinian content, most of which on the Facebook and Instagram platforms.The two platforms targeted many media and press accounts while covering the events in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and the news of the martyrdom of three Palestinian in Nablus.

Meta labeled the videos of the beating and arrest of young Palestinian men and women in occupied Jerusalem as “sensitive content” and hid it, while some accounts that published this content received many restrictions and warnings for violating community standards, which actually means blocking Palestinian content that exposes Israeli occupation crimes.

This is an outright targeting of Palestinian content, as tens of thousands of accounts around the world continue to publish violent content that poses a real threat to public safety without being affected by the blocking procedures.

The accusation of exceeding the standards of Meta also affected the accounts that published an obituary for the martyrs, including the page of Ramallah Governor Laila Ghanem and Minister of Health Mai Kaila, after the occupation’s assassination of three Palestinians in Nablus. While the social media sites claim that they block Palestinian content as sensitive content or incite violence and terrorism and delete and restrict it, they constantly ignore incitement to kill Palestinians and what the Israeli occupation is doing through official and media accounts and pages on the same platforms

Duplication and failure of standards:

The developments related to the Ukrainian crisis with regard to the digital space came to record a clear failure of the standards of social media platforms in protecting the user audience from violent and inflammatory content.

The digital spaces have recently been filled with photos and videos from the Ukrainian and Russian crises, which contain weapons, violent manifestations, and footages to mobilize fighters and teach them to manufacture and use weapons, in addition to other footages that provide a detailed explanation and training content for the use of military weapons by civilians. These platforms have not taken any action against the thousands of posts and comments urging the fighting in the Ukrainian-Russian war and calling for their joining, but the praise and encouragement of Palestinian resistance fighters is classified as terrorist content by the same platforms.

It was also observed that photos of Palestinian resistance icons and personalities were used in fabricated content as Ukrainian citizens defying Russian soldiers, and these photos were reported to be removed. this confirms that the removal and blocking of Palestinian content is basically linked to a political position biased towards the Israeli occupation regime adopted by social media sites.

The Center condemns the policy of double standards faced by the Palestinian user on various social media platforms, which violate his human and digital rights and prevent him from accessing information and news in light of the continuous restriction of media agencies and activists’ pages and their coverage of human rights violations in occupied Palestine. It also warns of the profound negative effects of social media’s disregard for violent and inflammatory content published against the backdrop of the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.

The center calls on all users to report any digital violations that affect their accounts or any fake content or fabricated news on social media, as the center continues its efforts to restore accounts and prevent their restriction within the framework of vigorous efforts with social media platforms policy managers

The Center also believe these developments as a clear indication of the failure of the standards and tools used by the social media sites to provide a safe environment for users, and recalls its repeated demands regarding the necessity of reviewing these standards, and setting them on the basis of commitment to the equal rights of human beings, regardless of their race or color, in addition to placing them at the service of safe and fair use for social media.

Adalah: “Israel Reinstates Ban on Palestinian Family Unification”

 IMEMC, March 11, 2022 The Legal Center For Arab Minority Rights In Israel (Adalah): 10/03/2022 –

The new temporary order explicitly affirms that its purpose is to ensure a Jewish demographic majority. Adalah: “The Citizenship and Entry into Israel” Law is one of the most racist and discriminatory laws in the world and must immediately be repealed.”

After more than 200 hours of deliberations, the Israeli Knesset approved the Citizenship and Entry into Israel Law (Temporary Order), 2022, by a 45-15 majority vote on 10 March 2021.

The Law bans the unification of Palestinian families, as it prohibits the Interior Minister from granting residency or citizenship status to Palestinians from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip who are married to Palestinian citizens of Israel. It also bans unification between a citizen or resident of Israel with spouses from “enemy states”, including Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran.

In response, Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel issued the following statement:

“Israel’s Citizenship and Entry into Israel Law is one of the most racist and discriminatory laws in the world. No other state bans its citizens from exercising their basic right to family life, based solely on their national or ethnic identity.

For 18 years, the Knesset has repeatedly renewed the ban, and the state has defended the legality of the measure before the Israeli Supreme Court using unsubstantiated and baseless security arguments.

This facade has finally been removed, as the Law’s current initiators have not, even for a moment, hidden their goal, which is to maintain a Jewish majority.

The legislators based the legitimacy of their actions on the 2018 Jewish Nation-State Law, which constitutionally enshrines Jewish supremacy over Palestinians.

We will challenge this Law before the Israeli Supreme Court, and the justices will now have to decide whether, when faced with the Law’s explicit language, they will continue to allow this racist Law to be protected under the eternal pretext of temporality.”

The Law adopted today by the Israeli Knesset incorporates provisions from an earlier version of the temporary order initially enacted in 2003 for a period of one year.

The Knesset has extended the preceding law 21 times over the last 18 years.

However, on 6 July 2021, the law expired after the Knesset failed to achieve the majority required to extend it.

Notably, the failure to extend the preceding law was not due to a lack of political will but rather competing political factions failing to reach a compromise. Since its expiration, four different bills have been introduced in the Knesset, and they were later consolidated into the current Law.

Unlike the past law, the new law includes a section that explicitly states that its purpose is to ensure a Jewish demographic majority. The section provides:

“The purpose of this law is to establish restrictions on citizenship and residence in Israel by citizens or residents of hostile countries or from the region, alongside irregular arrangements for residence licenses or permits to stay in Israel—all while taking into consideration the fact that Israel is a Jewish and democratic state, and in a manner that will ensure the safeguarding of vital interests for the state’s national security.”

The co-sponsors of Law confirmed the demographic goal of the legislation, and that the Law is intended to fight what they coined as attempts to “gradually achieve the right of return” of Palestinians. Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked has also repeated this goal.

The new Law also introduces some other items, such as a formal requirement of the Interior Minister to establish a committee to examine applications for reasons of domestic violence, and a maximum annual quota of permits for humanitarian reasons, based on the number of applications approved in 2018.

In subsequent years, the Interior Minister will be able to determine a maximum annual quota of licenses or permits, with the approval of the Government and the Knesset. The legislation also requires the Minister to report on the number of permits issued, as well the number of rejections of requests filed to it.

Current status of family unification requests:

Despite the law’s expiration in July 2021, Israel has not changed its racist policy preventing Palestinian family reunification. Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked ordered the ministry’s Population and Immigration Authority, which reviews family reunification requests, to continue implementing the [expired] law. Following a recent petition filed by HaMoked and other Israeli human rights organizations, the Israeli Supreme Court held on 11 January 2022 that the Minister of Interior “must act solely according to the existing law, and may no longer follow the [expired] Law or the regulations issued pursuant to it…”. And thus it became urgen for the government to pass new legislation,

Adalah’s legal action against the Law throughout the years:

Since the Law has been first enacted, Adalah has petitioned twice (2003, 2007) against the ban on Palestinian family unification to the Israeli Supreme Court.

Adalah has also opposed all of the renewals of the temporary order since it was enacted and urged Knesset members to reject the extension of the temporary order, to refrain from any arrangement that would not lead to its complete repeal, and/or to refuse to vote in favor of a permanent law banning Palestinian family unification.

International criticism:

Numerous UN human rights treaty bodies have urged Israel to facilitate family unification of all citizens and permanent residents, most recently,

the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in 2019;

the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) in 2019;

the UN Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women in 2017; and to revoke the law,

the UN Human Rights Committee, which monitors the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) in 2014, finding that the law violates Israel’s obligations under the treaty.
