3 Palestinians Assassinated, Scores Injured and Abducted, Homes Demolished by Israeli Occupation Soldiers February 14, 2022 Editor's Note: While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis. Eyewitnesses stated that an Israeli special forces unit opened heavy live fire at a civilian vehicle in the Al-Makhfiyya neighborhood in Nablus, killing three young men and detaining a fourth. The Ministry of Health has officially confirmed the identities of the three young as: Ashraf Mohammad Abdul-Fattah Mobaslat, 21, from the al-Makhfiyya neighborhood in Nablus. Mohammad Raed Hussein Dakheel, 22, from the al-Makhfiyya neighborhood in Nablus. Adham Jamal Abdul-Rahim Mabrouka, 26, from the al-Makhfiyya neighborhood in Nablus. The Israeli military claimed the slain young men were part of a resistance cell allegedly responsible for recent shootings targeting army posts in Nablus. According to Israeli Kan News, the Israeli Security Agency (Shabak) received information regarding the whereabouts of the Palestinians. It immediately deployed undercover soldiers of the Yamam unit and deployed sharpshooters before luring the fighters to the area where the assassination took place. Quds News Network (QNN) reported that the Israeli Special Forces Unit of Yamam, involving more than fifteen soldiers, driving civilian vehicles, shot at least eighty rounds at the Palestinians in their car, before leaving the scene. A fourth Palestinian was in the car and was shot by undercover Israeli soldiers before they abducted him and took him to an unknown destination. The Palestinian Ministry of Health described the operation as an assassination, and the Foreign Ministry called it a “field execution”. Thousands of Palestinians, including armed resistance fighters, participated in the massive funeral procession in Nablus. An eyewitness said he was at home when he heard gunshot sounds before he went to his balcony and saw two civilian cars, one a Taxi and one just a private vehicle before the undercover soldiers jumped out of the two cars and again fired a barrage of live fire at the car of the slain Palestinians. The assassination led to massive protests across the occupied West Bank, especially in the Nablus governorate where the soldiers shot at least sixty Palestinians and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. Dozens of illegal Israeli settlers also gathered at intersections near Nablus and attacked Palestinian cars. Groups of settlers also attacked Palestinian cars in several parts of the Hebron governorate, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. Israeli Navy Attacks Fishing Boats In Gaza FEB 13, 2022 Israeli navy ships attacked, on Saturday evening, Palestinian fishing boats near the shore in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Media sources said the navy ships chased several small Palestinian fishing boats and attacked them with water cannons and a few live rounds. They added that the attack did not lead to casualties but forced the fishermen back to the shore without being able to fish and provide for their families. On Friday, the Israeli navy targeted Palestinian fishermen offshore the Sudaniyya Sea area, northwest Gaza city. The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen. In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen. Israeli Soldiers Attack Nonviolent Protesters In Hebron FEB 13, 2022 On Saturday, Israeli soldiers attacked a nonviolent procession against the seriously escalating violations by the illegal colonizers against Palestinian shepherds in Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. Fuad al-‘Amour, the coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Hebron, said the Palestinians and international activists peacefully marched in condemnation of the escalating violations, including the recent attacks against the Palestinian shepherds and farmers. The soldiers suppressed the nonviolent procession with gas bombs and concussion grenades. The attacks in Southern Hebron Hills and surrounding areas aim at expanding the illegal Israeli colonies built on stolen lands. The Palestinian shepherds in the area depend on herding and raising livestock as their only sources of livelihood and are subject to constant attacks targeting them, their homes and lands, and even their livestock, in addition to the destruction of barns and sheds. In related news, Israeli colonizers and soldiers prevented the Palestinians from planting olive saplings in their orchards in the Rakhma area, east of Bethlehem. The army later abducted two Palestinians after stopping their car. Media sources said the soldiers shot three young men with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. They added that the Palestinians were marching against the escalating Israeli violations, including the killing of three young men, who were assassinated by undercover Israeli soldiers in Nablus, in northern West Bank, this past Tuesday. Israeli soldiers attacked the protesters with many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, wounding ten, including a child, and causing scores to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. In 2003, the Israeli occupation authorities closed the town’s main road to local Palestinians and granted full access to the colonial settlers, especially those living in the illegal Kedumim colony built on confiscated Palestinian lands. Local Palestinians have gathered every Friday and Saturday for several years in rejection of the closed road, and demand its re-opening, triggering a violent response from the occupation army. The army frequently attacks farmers, shepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to preventing the Palestinians from tending to their lands and from fishing to provide for their families. In March of last year, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen. *** Including A Child, Israeli Soldiers Abduct Twelve Palestinians In West Bank FEB 13, 2022 On Sunday at dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted at least eleven Palestinians, including a child, from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem. Also, the soldiers abducted Haidar Emad Nashashibi after invading and searching his home in Jerusalem city. It is worth mentioning that, on Saturday night, a young Palestinian man, identified as Ahmad Samir Obeid, was transferred to the al-Makassed Hospital In Jerusalem after Israeli colonizers attacked him and maced him with pepper spray while in his car in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. The colonizers also maced several Palestinians, including children, in the neighborhood before the wounded received the needed treatment by local medics. Silwanic also said that the army abducted a child, identified as Zeineddin Essam Mhanna, 14, after the soldiers stormed and searched his home in the al-Isawiya town in Jerusalem, causing damage. Israel Forces An Elderly Palestinian To Demolish His Home In Silwan FEB 12, 2022 The Israeli authorities in the occupied capital, Jerusalem, forced an elderly Palestinian man to demolish his home, Friday evening, in Ras al-Amoud in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Al-Qastal News said the soldiers forced Mahmoud Abu Thiab, 78, to demolish his home after his appeals were denied. The small, destroyed home provided shelter for the elderly man and his wife. The Palestinian was informed that he either demolishes his home at his own expense or be forced to pay 50-60 thousand shekels in fines and fees if the city uses its workers and equipment to destroy the property. With tears in his eyes, Mahmoud told Al-Qastal News: “Where are we supposed to go?!, What are we supposed to do…?! We have nobody to take care of us, we are elders, and we have no place to live…, Israel has no mercy and knows no compassion….” “What else can I say? We are just homeless now… I don’t have money; I am a poor elderly man, and my wife too… Where are we supposed to go, enough is enough, they told me you either demolish your home or we will, I have no resources, I cannot pay those expenses and fines…” he added. Dozens of Palestinians face the same fate and are forced to demolish their homes and property to avoid these excessive fines. While Israel continues to build and expand its illegal colonies, Palestinian communities, and towns, in occupied Jerusalem, and various areas in the occupied West Bank, continue to be denied the right to build homes and property, under various allegations meant to prevent the expansion of Palestinian towns and neighborhoods. All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Humanitarian Law. In 2021, the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) revealed that Israel demolished 937 homes and structures that year, displacing 1,119 Palestinians and affecting 12,658 others.

Israeli soldiers also attacked and injured many Palestinians. The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the colonizers attacked a home owned by the local Salem family, prompting them to defend themselves from the assailants. Silwanic added that Israeli soldiers and police officers also attacked the family and maced them with pepper spray, causing injuries. “We are afraid; we cannot sleep. We are worried the colonists will burn us in our home,” Fatima Salem, an elderly woman living in the family home, said. It is worth mentioning that the family recently received a final eviction order from the Israeli occupation authorities after granting the property to the illegal Israeli colonizers. In related news, Israeli colonies attacked many residents, homes, and cars in the neighborhood before the police started firing gas bombs at the Palestinians who tried to defend themselves. The attacks by the colonizers and the soldiers led to dozens of injuries, especially after the soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades at the Palestinians. In addition, Israeli Member of Knesset, a fundamentalist identified as Itamar Ben-Gvir, the fanatic Israeli far-right Otzma Yehudit party leader, said that he plans to move his office to Sheikh Jarrah to “protect the settlers if the police do not protect them.” Dozens of Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah face the threat of displacement due to Israel’s illegal colonialist activities and are subject to constant violations by the colonizers, the police, and the army.

Samer Mosleh said the colonizers cut and uprooted the olive trees in the orchards in Bab as-Shu’ab, Abu al-Qasseeb, and al-Qassir areas, close to the illegal Tapuah and Rechelim colonies, built on stolen Palestinian lands. “Our land is about seven Dunams; this is not the first attack in the area, just a few days ago, the colonizers cut and uprooted more than 22 trees, then 43 trees in a similar attack, and this time they cut 40 of my olive trees that were planted 12-15 years earlier,” he said, “They want us to leave by robbing us of our livelihood and personal security…” Mohammad Moshel said the colonizers cut and uprooted forty olive trees in his orchard, adding that he planted them 2-3 years ago on four dunams of his land. Salfit Governor Abdullah Kamil said the attack, not the first and not the last, comes with the encouragement, support, and protection provided by the Israeli government and its occupation army. “These attacks show a lack of humanity in those assailants, and are proof of their racism, hatred, and barbarism,” the governor said, “However, we are here to stay, and we will continue to plant our lands and take care of them – we will defend outlands with all possible means.” All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law. Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
