Two Palestinians Killed, Scores Injured, Abducted, Houses Demolished by Israeli Occupation Apartheid Regime Soldiers

September 8, 2021

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Several Palestinians in Silwan

IMEMC, SEP 8, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers injured, on Wednesday morning, several Palestinians in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Media sources said several army jeeps invaded the town and harassed several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

They added that the incident led to protests, before the soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades at the protesters and surrounding homes, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

On Tuesday evening, the soldiers stopped many young Palestinian men in Bab al-‘Amoud area in Jerusalem and interrogated them while examining their ID cards.

The soldiers also closed many roads in and around Silwan as dozens of colonialist settlers were marching while waving Israeli flags.

In related news, the soldiers invaded the Wadi Maali area, in the center of Bethlehem city, before storming and ransacking a home, owned by Hasan Shouka.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Elderly Man, Injure Many Palestinians During A Nonviolent Procession In Hebron

IMEMC, SEP 8, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers injured, Tuesday, dozens of Palestinians after the army attacked nonviolent protesters in a protest tent in the at-Tiwana village, southeast of Yatta town, south of Hebron, in southern West Bank, and abducted an elderly man and a journalist.

The Palestinians, and international peace activists, were protesting the illegal Israeli colonialist activities and the escalating assaults by the colonists against the Palestinians, their homes, and lands.

Rateb Jabour, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Hebron, said the soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades, in addition to assaulting the nonviolent protesters with batons.

He added that the soldiers also attacked many Palestinian journalists, including cameraman Mosab Shawar, who was also abducted by the army, to force them away, in addition to assaulting the head of the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission, Walid Assaf.

The soldiers also attacked and abducted an elderly man, identified as Suleiman Hathalin, in addition to assaulting his relative Mohammad Hathalin, and several international peace activists, before holding them for about an hour.

The soldiers closed the entire area of al-Hamra, east of the at-Tiwana to prevent the Palestinians from entering it, especially since the illegal Israeli colonizers, from Ma’on and Havat Ma’on colonies, are ongoing with their attempts to occupy a Palestinian irrigation well and the surrounding Palestinian lands.

The area is also subject to frequent violations by the colonizers, including burning crops and trees, chopping trees, and preventing the Palestinians from entering them.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct A Palestinian In Al-Aqsa

 IMEMC, SEP 8, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers abducted, Tuesday, a young Palestinian man from the Dome of the Rock in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in the occupied Palestinian capital Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers abducted Fathi al-Jamal, for shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great) when soldiers and police officers stormed the holy site with dozens of fanatic colonialist settlers, and conducted provocative tours, after forcing the Muslim worshipers away.

They added that the provocative tours were carried out in several phases, where large groups stormed the courtyards of the holy site and the Dome of the Rock mosque.

The tours were also organized, Tuesday, to mark the Jewish New Year, while the army and the police also surrounded the areas around the holy site to prevent the Palestinians from entering it.

It is worth mentioning that such invasions are carried out daily, but intensify during Jewish holidays, when the army imposes severe restrictions on the Muslim worshippers and prevents hundreds from entering the holy compound.

Israel apartheid regime bans Muslims from praying at Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque during the Jewish holidays

 IMEMC, SEP 8, 2021

HEBRON, Tuesday, September 07, 2021 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime today decided to ban Muslims from praying at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, citing the Jewish New Year as a pretext, while it will be open only for Jews, according to local sources.

Director of the Ibrahimi Mosque Sheikh Hafthi Abu Sneinah told WAFA that Israeli forces denied Palestinians access to the holy site along with its courtyards as the illegal settlers were preparing to mark the Jewish New Year holiday.

Ahmad Tamimi, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in charge of its human rights department, slammed the closure as “a flagrant affront to the feelings of Arabs and Muslims, a grave breach of the freedom of worship and a blatant violation of international human rights charters and conventions.”

The Ibrahimi Mosque, which was once a purely Muslim worship site, was divided between Muslims and Jews 22 years ago following the massacre at the hand of Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein who opened fire at Muslim worshippers on a Ramadan day during the early morning prayers killing 29 people.

Instead of getting the handful of illegal Israeli settlers out of Hebron following the massacre, Israel decided to punish the Palestinian victims of the massacre by splitting the mosque, also known as the Cave of the Patriarchs, in half, closing most of the Palestinian businesses in the old town of Hebron, where the settlers had set up base, and restricting the movement of its Palestinian residents.

Palestinian Family Forced To Demolish Its Home In Jerusalem

 IMEMC, SEP 8, 2021

On Tuesday, a Palestinian family from the al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan town, in occupied Jerusalem, was forced to demolish its home after the the Israeli occupation apartheid regime City Council denied their appeals.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) stated that the Dweik local family was forced to demolish its own home to avoid the excessively high fines and fees, especially if the City Council uses its workers and equipment to demolish the property.

Silwanic added that the family received the demolition order twenty days ago, and tried to appeal the decision but to no avail.

The 80 square/meter home provided shelter to nine family members, including 7 children between the ages of 7 and 16m, and was constructed in the year 2017.

Last Saturday, another Palestinian family had to demolish its home in the Wadi ar-Rababa neighborhood in Silwan.

On Wednesday morning, September 1, the soldiers demolished two under-construction homes in Beit Ta’mar and Harmala villages, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

While Israel continues to build and expand its illegal colonies, Palestinian communities and towns, in occupied Jerusalem, and various areas in the occupied West Bank, continue to be denied the right to build or expand homes and property.

Israel has been issuing hundreds of demolition orders against existing Palestinian homes and property, including under-construction structures, and has already demolished many of them.

According to data by the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), demolished 865 structures, displacing 1,014 people, and directly affecting 5,615 people. In addition to demolishing 2,586 buildings in the Negev, in the year 2020.

Israeli Occupation Regime Warplanes Strike two Sites in Gaza

 IMEMC, SEP 7, 2021

The Israeli occupation regime warplanes fired missiles, on Monday at night, at two sites in the southern Gaza Strip, causing property damage, the Palestine News and Information Agency (Wafa) reported.

Wafa correspondent stated that Israeli fighter jets invaded Palestinian airspace and struck two sites to the west of Khan Younis.

The Israeli bombardment caused damage to civilian property, but there were no human casualties, according to the Jerusalem Press.

The Israeli media claimed the attacks were in response to incendiary balloons, allegedly released from the Gaza Strip, which caused fires along the border with Israel.

Since 2007, the Israeli occupation has imposed a brutal air, land and sea blockade on the 2 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, with disastrous humanitarian effects.

The occupation has perpetrated four major military assaults against the Palestinians of Gaza since 2008, the most recent of which was May 10 – 21, 2021.

Six Palestinian Detainees Escape From Israeli Occupation Regime Prison

 IMEMC, SEP 6, 2021

Israeli occupation sources have reported that six Palestinian detainees managed to escape from the Gilboa Israeli high-security prison, in the northern part of the country, after digging a tunnel.

The sources stated that one of the detainees is Zakariyya Zobeidi, the former leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin, in northern West Bank. The other five escaped political prisoners are all members of the Islami Jihad movement.

Israel alleges that Zobeidi was responsible for an attack on the Likud Party headquarters in Bisan, in the year 2002, leading to the death of six Israelis.

Israeli also alleges that when he was taken prisoner in the year 2019, he was planning what was described as a serious attack against Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank, and for reportedly carrying out two shooting attacks against Israeli buses for colonialist settlers near Beit El and Psagot colonies in the West Bank.

Israeli sources said the six detainees were all in the same cell, and that their escape was uncovered approximately at 4:00 on Monday at dawn during a headcount.

The Israeli police, Internal Security, and various other agencies have initiated a search campaign, in addition to a probe into how the detainees were able to escape without being noticed until a few hours later. Gilboa’ prison is well fortified and has extremely high-security measures.

A massive search campaign was initiated, including in all surrounding Palestinian villages and towns, close to the northern border with the West Bank, and Jordan.

Israeli daily Haaretz quoted prison officials stating that the six detainees managed to dig the tunnel over the past few months, and added that the Shin Bet (The Israeli Security Agency) believes that they managed to coordinate help with people in the outside through smuggled cellphones.

It added that the detainees had an escape car waiting for them and that they were first noticed by farmers who notified the police.

The Prison Service also told Haaretz that the escape is a “major intelligence and security failure.”

After the escape of the six detainees, Israeli decided to transfer around 400 political prisoners from Gilboa to various others prisons.

Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth has reported that the Israeli army has decided to install many military roadblocks around Jenin, after surrounding it, to prevent the escaped detainees from reaching there.

It is worth noting that Israel is holding captive around 4850 Palestinian detainees, including 41 women and 225 children. 540 of the Palestinian detainees are held under arbitrary Administrative Detention orders without charges or trial.

The Al-Arabiya – Palestine TV said:

 IMEMC, SEP 5, 2021

The Israeli occupation army forced Saturday, a Palestinian to demolish his under-construction home in Wadi ar-Rababa neighborhood, in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the home is owned by Ahmad Younes Abu Hadwan, and was built on his land.

Silwanic added that Abu Hadwan had to demolish his 50 square/meter under construction home using basic handheld tools to avoid the excessively high fines and fees, especially if the City Council in occupied Jerusalem uses its workers and equipment.

It is worth mentioning that the family stopped the construction of their home ten years ago, after receiving a demolition order, and have since been going to court and trying to obtain all needed permits and documents.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct 7 Journalists in South Hebron Hills

 IMEMC, SEP 4, 2021

Israeli occupation troops attacked a group of journalists covering a protest in the South Hebron Hills several days ago, with one of the soldiers telling the reporters as they seized their cameras and took them into custody that the army had orders to “go after journalists”, according to eyewitnesses.

According to Israeli journalist Haggai Matar of +972 Mag, “On Friday, Israeli soldiers arrested seven Palestinian journalists who were reporting on a non-violent protest against illegal settlements in the South Hebron Hills in the West Bank. Journalists were cuffed and taken to a police station where they were later released.”

Mashour Wahwah, one of the detained journalists, told reporters with the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz that he was photographing the Israeli military abducting several Palestinian youth, but that there had been no confrontations and the army did not need to use any riot control measures. He is quoted by Ha’aretz as saying, “When I photographed the arrest they detained me as well, but we were on our way out, going home”.

This attack on the media comes in the midst of a campaign of reppression of Palestinian media by Israeli military forces.

In June, Israeli police arrested Givara al-Budeiri of Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera and Palestinian activist Muna al-Kurd.

In May, during the 11-day-long bombing campaign launched by Israeli forces against the population of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military bombed the Al-Jawhara tower, located in Gaza, which hosts the offices of 13 media institutions and NGOs.

The offices of the media organizations – The National Information Agency, Palestine Newspaper, Al-Arabi Channel, Al-Ittijah TV, Al-Nujaba TV, the Syrian TV, Al-Kufiya Channel, Al Mamalaka channel, APA Agency, Sabq Agency 24, Bawaba 24, the Palestinian Media Forum, the Palestinian Forum for Democratic Dialogue and Development – were completely destroyed. The offices of Al-Jazeera TV, adjacent to the targeted building, were also damaged.

The International Federation of Journalists issued a statement following the Israeli bombing of the al-Jawhara tower building in Gaza, stating: “Media offices have been bombed and Palestinian and international journalists arrested, beaten and threatened by Israeli forces amid escalating violence in Gaza. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) stands in solidarity with the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) and all Palestinian and foreign media workers targeted and demands immediate international action to hold Israel accountable for its deliberate targeting of journalists and the media.”

“The PJS said the attack was deliberate and targeted. There were no injuries as journalists evacuated their offices after the Israeli army warned some of the media that the building would be bombed. However, media organisations lost their equipment. The IFJ said the Israeli government must compensate the media for their financial losses.”

Attacks on journalists are a direct violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a signatory.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure 20 Palestinian Civilians at Protest in Beita

 IMEMC, SEP 4, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers attacked a group of Palestinians who were protesting the Israeli settlement expansion in Beita village Friday, wounding at least 20. The soldiers also opened fire on four ambulances carrying people who had been wounded by army fire.

Fifty occupation more Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation, and were treated on-site. Some Palestinian youth tried to kick or throw the tear gas canisters back toward the invading army forces.

According to local sources, the protest began after Friday prayers and lasted for several hours on Jabal Sbaih (Mount Sbaih) in Beita, south of Nablus.

Ahmed Jibril, the ambulance and emergency official at the Palestinian Red Crescent, told reporters with the Ma’an News Agency that 20 civilians were wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets, and three of them were transferred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital for treatment.

Jibril added that over a hundred Palestinian civilians suffered from tear gas inhalation as a result of the Israeli forces firing tear gas canisters, in addition to the use of unmanned drone aircraft to stop teargas canisters into the crowd.

Among those who suffered from tear gas inhalation were a number of medics who were targeted while treated the wounded.

A recent report by Agence France Presse told how, over the past four months, Palestinians from Beita have come together across party lines and using unique non-violent techniques, to challenge the illegal Israeli seizure of their land.

According to that report, “Using laser pointers and noisy horns to torment Jewish settlers across the valley, Palestinians in Beita have set themselves apart from others demonstrating against Israeli presence in the West Bank. But beyond attention-grabbing tactics, protesters in the Palestinian town near Nablus insist their weeks-long campaign against the wildcat settlement of Eviatar is distinct for another reason.

“They describe it as a grassroots movement, not inspired or directed by Fatah secularists who control the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, or their rivals from the Islamist Hamas that runs the Gaza Strip. ‘Here there is only one flag: That of Palestine. There are no factions’, Said Hamayel told AFP.

“‘We are doing from below what Palestinian leaders cannot do from above,’ argued Hamayel, who said his 15-year-old son Mohammed was killed by Israeli army gunfire in a mid-June riot.”

“The Beita protest[s] broke out in May as a group of hard-line settlers erected a Jewish community on a nearby hilltop. All settlements are considered illegal under international law, but Israel has granted authorization to such communities across the West Bank, a territory it has captured from Jordan during the 1967 Six-Day War.

“But Eviatar was built without Israeli approval and the government struck a deal with settlers for their evacuation on July 2, while it studied the land to evaluate the prospect of eventual authorization.”

In addition to firing tear gas on Friday, and destroying roads on Thursday, Israeli forces in recent weeks have violently assaulted the thousands of Palestinians that have joined in the protests in Beita.

On Friday, July 31st, Israeli soldiers wounded 435 Palestinians during protests against the illegal colonialist activities in three areas in Beita town, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Several Palestinians In Kufur Qaddoum

 IMEMC, SEP 4, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers injured, Friday, several Palestinians during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall & Colonies in Kufur Qaddoum stated that the soldiers fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the protesters.

It added that a young man was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, and was rushed to a hospital in Qalqilia.

Many Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, cuts, and bruises, before receiving the needed treatment by medics at the scene, without the need for hospitalization.

The Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum said the popular resistance will continue until liberation, and will not be intimidated by the escalating Israeli violations.

The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road which was blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers, driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony, which was built on stolen Palestinian lands.

In related news, the soldiers abducted, on Friday evening, a young man identified as Mohammad Khader Abu al-Hummus, during a nonviolent activity against the Israeli attempts to remove and displace the Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said Mohammad is from the al-‘Isawiya town, in Jerusalem.

The Palestinians went missing on Thursday evening while working in a siege-busting tunnel before Civil Defense teams initiated the search campaign, and eventually located their corpses under the rubble.

The Palestinian Quds News Agency quoted sources in Gaza claiming that the incident that led to their deaths took place after the Egyptian army pumped toxic gas in the tunnel.

It is worth mentioning that many Palestinians, not affiliated with armed resistance groups, work in the tunnels to provide for their families in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip.

Pregnant Prisoner Released on House Arrest and 40,000 Shekel Fine

 IMEMC, SEP 3, 2021

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime Ofer military court, Thursday, ruled to release the 9-month pregnant Palestinian woman, Anhar ad-Deek, 25, after spending six months in Israeli prison, the Quds News Network reported.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and ex-Detainees’ Affairs announced Thursday that the occupation authorities released ad-Deek on the condition of house arrest and a 40,000 shekel (USD $12,500) fine.

Ad-Deek, a married mother of a young child, from Kafr Ni’ma town in Ramallah, central occupied West Bank was detained by Israeli forces on March 8, International Women’s Day, following what authorities claimed was an alleged stabbing attempt.

Human rights advocates held campaigns to demand the occupation authorities immediately release the pregnant detainee.

In related news, the prison authorities also released another Palestinian woman, Ayat Mahfouth, after imprisoning her for five years.

According to Addameer; “Pregnant Palestinian women have not escaped the mass arrests of Palestinian civilians under Israel’s unlawful occupation regime. Between 2003 –2008, Addameer documented four cases of Palestinian women detainees who were forced to give birth while held in Israeli prisons; all of whom received very limited to no pre- and post-natal care.

As the incarceration of pregnant women poses a high risk not only to the woman herself but also, to the birth outcomes, posterior growth, and development of the newborn, their cases are of utmost concern. Pregnant women in Israeli prisons and detention centers do not enjoy any preferential treatment in terms of diet, living space or transfers to hospitals.”
