Palestinian Killed, Scores Injured and Abducted, Homes Demolished by Israeli Occupation Soldiers, More Trees Cut by Illegal Settlers

December 12, 2021

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

PCHR: In New Crime of Excessive Use of Force, Israeli Occupation Forces Kill Palestinian in Beita Village, Nablus

 IMEMC, DEC 12, 2021

December 11, 2021 – Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) –

In new crime of excessive use of force, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed, on Friday afternoon, a Palestinian civilian during the suppression of a peaceful protest Beita village, southeast of Nablus.

According to PCHR’s investigations, IOF directly targeted the Palestinian civilian in the head at a close range of 50 meters, without any justification or posing threat to the soldiers’ lives. This crime proves IOF unjustifiable lenient shooting standards in disregard for Palestinian civilians’ lives.

According to PCHR’s investigations, at approximately 12:15 on Friday, 10 December, a peaceful protest took off in the Beita Park, southeast of Nablus, towards al-Hotah area, east of Mount Sabih, east of the village, where IOF established “Avatar” settlement outpost 8 months ago. The protestors raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against the Israeli occupation and settlers. When they arrived, they were surprised with IOF taking their positions near the Mount. IOF immediately fired teargas canisters at the protesters, and intensive clashes broke out.

The protesters threw stones at IOF, who continued to fire live and rubber-coated bullets as well as teargas canisters at the protesters, and the clashes expanded to reach the area surrounding the Mount. During the clashes, which continued until around 15:00, a Palestinian civilian was shot with a bullet in the head and sustained critical wounds while others suffocated due to teargas inhalation. As a result, the wounded was taken to the field hospital in Beita village and then referred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, where he was announced dead at 16:00. The murdered was later identified as Jamil Jamal Ahmed Abu ‘Ayyash (32), from Beita village.

An eyewitness said to PCHR’s fieldworker that:

“An Israeli soldier fired 2 bullets from 40 to 50 meters on the top of the Mount; one of the bullets was in the air while the other hit Jamil Abu ‘Ayyash, who was in front of the soldier trying to turn back and fled away. Meanwhile, Abu ‘Ayyash did not pose any imminent threat to the soldiers’ lives. Abu ‘Ayyash was shot in the back of the head and fell on the ground. Protesters carried him while his head was open and bleeding. He was put in a Palestinian ambulance and taken to the field hospital in the area. He was referred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, where he was announced dead at 16:00.”

This victim is the ninth Palestinian shot dead by IOF during suppression of peaceful protests in Beita village since the establishment of the settlement outpost.

PCHR notes with concern the recurrence of IOF murders against the Palestinian civilians. These crimes reflect the excessive use of force in circumstances where there was no imminent threat to the soldiers’ lives and prove IOF lenient shooting standards against the Palestinian civilians.

PCHR reiterates its call on the international community to act immediately to stop the IOF crimes and renews its call on the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to fulfill their obligations under Article 1; i.e. to respect and ensure respect for the Convention in all circumstances and their obligations under Article 146 to prosecute persons alleged to commit grave breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention and guarantee Palestinian civilians’ right to protection in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Three Palestinian Families Forced to Demolish Their Homes in Jerusalem

 DEC 12, 2021

Palestinian families, on Saturday, were forced by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime to demolish their own homes in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) reported.

The Israeli regime municipality ordered the destruction of three Palestinian-owned apartments in the Wadi Qaddum quarter of Silwan under the pretext of unlicensed construction, leaving three families consisting of twenty members, homeless.

The Palestinian Nassar family were forced to demolish three apartments in Silwan town to avoid paying excessive fines and demolition fees to the occupation authorities if the Israeli municipality crews carried out the demolition.

Jawad Nassar, his brother and his nephew razed the three apartments which were home to a total of twenty people, with heavy machinery at their own expense, according to WAFA correspondent.

Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states;

Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.

Article 17 of the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights states;

1. Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.

2. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Two Palestinians, Open Fire At Farmers, In Gaza

 DEC 9, 2021

Israeli occupation soldiers abducted, earlier Thursday, two young Palestinian men on lands near the fence in the eastern part of southern Gaza Strip, in addition to firing live rounds at farmers in the central part of the coastal region.

Media sources said the soldiers, stationed behind the perimeter fence, east of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, abducted two young men while working on Palestinian lands near the perimeter fence.

The soldiers cuffed and blindfolded the two young men, for approaching the fence, and took them to an unknown destination.

In addition, the soldiers, stationed on military towers across the fence east of the al-Maghazi and the al-Boreij refugee camps, in the central Gaza Strip, fired many live rounds at Palestinian farmers who were trying to work on their farmlands.

The attack did not lead to casualties, but forced the farmers to leave, in fear of further escalation.

The army frequently attacks farmersshepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to preventing the Palestinians from tending to their lands and from fishing to provide for their families.

In March of this year, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.

Illegal Israeli Settlers Cut 600 Trees Near Nablus

 DEC 11, 2021

Illegal Israeli settlers cut, Saturday, at least six hundred olive and almond trees owned by Palestinians in Deir Shafar village, west of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in northern West Bank, said the colonizers invaded farmlands in the al-Harayeq area west of Deir Sharaf, before cutting at least five hundred olive and almond trees.

He added that the lands are close to the illegal Shavei Shomron colony, which was built on stolen Palestinian lands,

Daghlas also said that the Palestinians managed to rehabilitate their lands and prepare them from planting five years ago, after being denied access to them, and planted them with olive and almond trees.

The invaded lands are about 68 Dunams (16.80 Acres) and are owned by the families of Awad Abu Safad, Ghazi Antar, Abdul-Rahim Suleiman, and Noureddin Suleiman.

Illegal Israeli Settlers Occupy A Palestinian Spring In Northern Plains

 DEC 10, 2021

A group of illegal Israeli settlers invaded, Friday, Khirbat al-Farisiyya village, in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank, before occupying a Palestinian water spring, and started constructing a collections pool near it.

Local activist Aref Daraghma said the colonizers occupied a spring in the Khallet Khader area, in the al-Farisiyya village, and prevented the Palestinians from entering the area.

He added that the colonizers also started preparation work for a water collection pool near the spring, to occupy it and the surrounding area to establish a new colonialist outpost on the stolen lands.

Daraghma also said that the colonizers invaded and occupied structures, owned by Raddad Daraghma, near the water spring, and brought digging and construction equipment.

Earlier this year, the colonizers occupied another spring in the Ein al-Hilwa area in the Northern Plains and started constructing a park after preventing the Palestinians from entering the area.

The spring is the main source of water for dozens of Palestinian families in the area.

The Northern Plains area, %25 of the West Bank, is subject to constant and escalating violations by the soldiers and the colonizers, especially since there are more than 21 illegal colonies and outposts on Palestinian lands there.

Most Palestinians in that area are farmers and shepherds, who depend on water and farming as their only source of livelihood, especially due to the fertile nature of the area, which witnesses frequent invasions, assaults, and repeated demolitions of homes and structures, in addition to being frequently bulldozed and uprooted by the soldiers and the colonizers.

Illegal Israeli settlers vandalize Palestinian vehicles in Jerusalem neighborhood

 DEC 10, 2021

JERUSALEM, Friday, December 10, 2021 (WAFA) –

Illegal Israeli settlers Thursday night vandalized Palestinian vehicles in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, according to WAFA correspondent.

She said that a group of armed settlers attacked five Palestinian-owned vehicles in the neighborhood, smashing their windshields.

The neighborhood has become a scene of massive protests against Israel’s settler-colonialism in the occupied territories since the Israeli occupation authorities decided to forcibly expel dozens of families from their houses in favor of colonial settler groups.

Palestinians have maintained that the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to “evict” the families from their houses in favor of the settler groups is politically motivated and comes as part of Israel’s efforts to ethnically cleanse Jerusalemite Palestinians.

Since the occupation of Jerusalem by Israel in June 1967, Israeli settler colonial organizations, including Elad and Ateret Cohanim, have claimed ownership of Palestinian property in Jerusalem. Backed by the Israeli state, judiciary and security services, these organizations have been working on wresting control of Palestinian property and convert it into colonial outposts as part of the efforts to ensure a Jewish majority in the city, as well as on managing archaeological sites in Silwan and overseeing their excavation.

This scheme involves building new colonial tourist sites, such as the “City of David”, to bolster their propaganda.
