Palestinian Governor of Jerusalem, Cabinet Member Among Abductees, 200 Children Detained in Israeli Occupation Prisons

April 6, 2020

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

April 5, 2020 9:06 AM IMEMC News

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, late on Saturday evening, the town of Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and caused dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation during ensuing protests.

The Coordinator of the Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, Morad Eshteiwi, stated that several army jeeps invaded the town, leading to protests.

He added that the soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs, in addition to concussion grenades, live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets at the protesters, and surrounding homes.

Eshteiwi stated that dozens of residents, including many in their own homes, suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation, before receiving the needed treatment by the local medics.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers smashed the doors of many homes before breaking into them, and conducted violent searches of the properties while inspecting the ID cards of the Palestinians and interrogating many of them.

Eshteiwi denounced the Israeli military escalation against the unarmed Palestinian population in several parts of the occupied territory and said that Israel is taking advantage of the fact that the entire world is busy in dealing with the spreading Coronavirus, by escalating its invasions and serious violations. On Friday, the soldiers injured one Palestinian youth with fragments of a concussion grenade, and caused many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation in Kufur Qaddoum.

A Palestinian youth was injured when Israeli occupation forces opened fire at Palestinian citizens, while dozens of Palestinians choked on tear gas in Kufur Qaddoum village, in the northern West Bank district of Qalqilia on Friday, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

Morad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Colonies said that a Palestinian young man was wounded in the arm when Israeli forces fired at Palestinians taking part in Kufur Qaddoum’s weekly non-violent march against settlements. The wounded young man, who was reportedly hit by fragments of a concussion grenade in his arm, was transferred to hospital for treatment, while those suffering from inhalation injuries from tear-gas fired by soldiers, were treated at the scene.

The Palestinians living in the Kufur Qaddoum village and surrounding areas have staged protests against Israeli settlement expansion, as well as the closing of the main road which links the village to the closest major city in the northern West Bank, Nablus city. Israel closed the road to Palestinians in 2002, to benefit the illegal Israeli settlers, causing difficulties for local Palestinians.

April 5, 2020 7:30 PM Rami Almeghari

The  Israeli occupation regime police forces on Sunday, invaded one of the neighborhoods in the internationally-recognized occupied East Jerusalem, and abducted two Palestinian youths, local sources reported.

Sources and witnesses said that Israeli occupation police in the old city of East Jerusalem, broke into the homes of Ahmad Salayma and Mohammad Swaity and abducted the two youths.

The abduction came hours after Israeli police broke into the home of Fatah party’s representative in East Jerusalem, Shadi Matour, as well as the arrest and subsequent release of Palestinian Authority’s governor for Jerusalem, Adnan Gheith.

In a statement, released on Sunday, Palestinian National and Islamic factions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, decried Israeli authorities’ arrest campaigns, which also included the Palestinian Authority’s minister for Jerusalem affairs, Fadi Aldahmi.

The factions demanded Israeli occupation authorities desist in their recent efforts to target Palestinian dignitaries in occupied East Jerusalem.

Their statement asserted the Palestinian factions’ determination to protect the Palestinian population in East Jerusalem, with Coronavirus having plagued Palestinian territories and Israel, alike.

The factions hold Israel responsible for the health and welfare of Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem, claiming that Israel is neglecting the health care of those residents.

They also noted that Palestinian officials and residents’ attempts to take necessary precaution measures, across East Jerusalem, are important, while Israel ‘is not doing enough’ to maintain Palestinian public health.
