Head of Islamic Awqaf, Shaikh Salhab, Prevented from Entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, While Illegal Israeli Settlers Are Allowed

March 4, 2019

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

March 3, 2019, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC) --

The Israeli occupation government on Sunday handed a number of Palestinians working in al-Aqsa Mosque orders banning them from entering al-Aqsa Mosque for different periods.

The Prisoners Media Office said in a press statement that the head of the Islamic Awqaf Council, Shaikh Abdul-Adhim Salhab, was ordered to stay away from al-Aqsa Mosque for 40 days and his deputy Najeh Bukairat  for four months.

Meanwhile, al-Aqsa guard Arafat Najib received a six-month entry ban, and the director of the Palestinian Prisoner Society in Jerusalem Naser Qaws received a 40-day ban.

The Israeli police arrested Salhab after the opening of Bab al-Rahma prayer area in al-Aqsa Mosque a week ago and ordered him not to enter the site for a week. The ban has been extended for 40 days.

Many Awqaf employees and Aqsa guards have been arrested by the police and ordered to stay away from al-Aqsa Mosque after they managed to open Bab al-Rahma following 16 years of closure.

Scores of Jewish settlers, police forces defile Aqsa Mosque Short url Related

March 3, 2019, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC) + -
Hordes of Jewish settlers on Sunday morning desecrated anew the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under heavy police protection.

According to local sources, scores of settlers entered the Mosque through al-Maghariba Gate in groups and toured its courtyards and plateaus as they were receiving information about the alleged temple mounts from rabbis.

The Israeli occupation police intensified their presence at the Islamic holy site during the presence of settlers.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Israeli police close al-Maghariba Gate, which is used by Jews to enter the Mosque, at 10:30 am after the settlers complete their morning tours at the holy site. Later in the afternoon, the same gate is reopened for evening tours by settlers.

During the presence of settlers inside the Mosque compound, entry restrictions are imposed on Muslim worshipers at the entrances leading to the Mosque and their IDs are seized until they leave the holy place.

The Israeli occupation government rejects almost all Palestinian building requests in J’lem Short url Related

March 3, 2019, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC) --

As part of a recent decision to reject almost all Palestinian building requests, Israel’s planning and building committee in Occupied Jerusalem turned down some 20 applications submitted by Palestinians to obtain residential construction permits.

According to Haaretz newspaper, the Israeli committee intends to rule out almost any future Palestinian construction in east Jerusalem, whose native residents face a serious housing shortage due to years of deliberate neglect of Palestinian neighborhoods, including the lack of any zoning plans and infrastructure in these areas.

One of the most difficult obstacles to Palestinian construction in Jerusalem is the fact that ownership of about 90 percent of land in the eastern part of the city is not registered under anyone’s name.

Consequently, Palestinian residents cannot prove property ownership and therefore they cannot submit applications for construction permits.

However, the Israeli authorities wants to exploit such a situation to refuse all applications for construction permits submitted by Palestinians who do not possess ownership documents.

Such a problem had been dealt with in past decades with the “mukhtar protocol.” Anyone wanting to build on their land must collect signatures of consent from mukhtars, who are local leaders or clan heads, Haaretz noted.

Israel demolishes Palestinian car wash in Jerusalem Short url Related

March 3, 2019, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC) + -

Israeli occupation government bulldozers on Sunday knocked down a Palestinian commercial facility in Occupied Jerusalem for allegedly being unlicensed.

Local sources said that bulldozers belonging to Israel's Jerusalem municipality, accompanied by the police, demolished a car wash in Beit Safafa town.

The municipality claimed that the owner of the car wash does not have a license, and that the facility will obstruct work in a new light rail that is set to pass in the same area toward Gilo settlement in the south.

Palestinian structures built or expanded in Jerusalem are usually threatened with demolition by the Israeli municipality which refuses to give the Palestinians the necessary building permits. The settlement construction, on the other side, is on the rise.
