389 Syrians Killed in just One Day, in Suawaida Province, Air Strikes and Fighting Continues in Other Provinces July 26, 2018 Editor's Note: The following news stories are just examples of the daily horrors of war in Syria. The following are news stories from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) website (http://www.syriahr.com/en/): *** After the massacres of the Bloody Wednesday…warplanes target positions of the organization east of Al-Suwaidaa SOHR, 26/07/2018 Al-Suwaidaa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored overflight of warplanes over the eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, in conjunction with their targeting to positions under the control of the “Islamic State” Organization in the area, amid information about human losses, where this renewed targeting comes a day after the province lived a bloody day yesterday, as result of the bloodiest attacks by the organization on the province, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 252 persons who were killed in attacks by the “Islamic State” organization on the city and its eastern and north-eastern countryside yesterday, Wednesday, they are 139 citizens including 38 women and children, and 113 gunmen most of them are of the people of the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa province, who took up arms to rebel the violent and surprising attack of the “Islamic State” organization. And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored that the number of casualties of the “Islamic State” organization has increased to 63 members who were killed in this violent attack on Al-Suwaidaa countryside and Al-Suwaidaa city, including 7 suicide bombers who blew themselves up in the city and in its countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored that Pro-regime gunmen have hanged up a member of the organization, local sources said that he was detained during the arrival of his body in a hospital in Al-Suwaidaa city, where he was executed and his body was hanged up in the city, amid a crowd of tens of citizens in the area, on the other hand, the Syrian Observatory monitored that the Pro-regime gunmen managed to advance again and take the control of the entire villages and positions which they lost in this attack, also a state of tension is prevailing Al-Suwaidaa city and the villages connected to its desert, for fear of renewing the attack by the organization. In the highest daily death toll in months, 389 at least were killed yesterday including 246 at least and they are 135 civilians including 34 children and women, and 111 gunmen were killed in al-Suwaidaa Province It rose to 4 including one fighter, the number of who joined yesterday the convoy of casualties of the Syrian revolution. In Idlib Province the body of a man was found on the road to Hammam Sheikh Isa in the eastern countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, with traces of torture on his body, but the circumstances and causes of his death remain unknown at the moment. In Latakia Province a fighter of the factions was killed in shelling by the regime forces on the northern mountains of Latakia. While a person was killed by a car explosion near the headquarters of Idlib Free Army in al-Tamanah town in the same countryside, which killed one person. At least 246 were killed, and they are 135 civilians including 34 children and women, and 111 armed men mostly gunmen from the countryside of al-Suwaidaa Province, they were killed in an attack by the “Islamic State” Organization on the countryside al-Suwaidaa and al-Suwaidaa city. At least 45 members of ISIS Organization were killed in this violent attack on the countryside of al-Suwaidaa and al-Suwaidaa city, including 7 who blew themselves up in the city and its countryside. At least 5 fighters of the “Islamic State” organization and the factions of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and shelling by warplanes and helicopters and shelling on areas of their presence. Squadron of warplanes and helicopters continues to destroy Yarmouk Basin and the regime forces seek to control more sites in the area SOHR, 26/07/2018 Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the squadron of warplanes accompanied by helicopters continue its intensive aerial strikes on the remaining towns and villages under the control of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid -which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization- in Yarmouk Basin area, in conjunction with the continuation of clashes between members of Jaysh Khalid against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in a continuous attacks by the latter in order to achieve new advancements, also the regime forces seek to control Jellin and control more areas to end the presence of Jaysh Khaled which swore allegiance to the organization in the area, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen continue their attacks on sites of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid, which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, and the far southern countryside of Quneitra adjacent to Yarmouk Basin, accompanied by continued and intense airstrikes on positions of Jaysh Khalid in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces continue to advance and control more areas at an accelerated rate under intense fire cover, raising to at least 22, the number of towns and villages controlled by the regime forces during the last 24 hours in the Yarmouk Basin and south of Quneitra, most notably Abu Hartyn, Saida al-Golan, and Ayn Thakar, amid major collapses among members of the “Islamic State” Organization after one week of regime forces’ military operations in the area, which were accompanied by a 2420 airstrike by Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes and helicopters, amid shelling by hundreds of missiles and artillery, rocket, tank, and mortar shells in the area since the 19th of July 2018, which in turn caused a large collapse for the organization, which has nothing left except for a number of towns and villages in Yarmouk Basin and the far south of Quneitra, the most prominent of which are Jellin, al-Mzyr’aa, Tasil, Adwan, al-Shajra, Naf’aa, and Sahm al-Golan, while the regime forces seek to continue to end the presence of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid through their attacks in the area. The Syrian Observatory published last night, Wednesday, that the ongoing clashes which were accompanied by ongoing air and rocket strikes, have left further human loses in the ranks of the both parties, where it rose to at least 133, the number of casualties of the members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, who have been killed since the 19th of July 2018, the date of starting the regime’s operation against Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, also it rose to 59 at least, the number of casualties of the members and officers of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, who were killed in the same period, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it rose to 42 persons at least including 11 children and 5 citizen women, the number of people who have been killed since the 19th of July 2018, as a result of bombardment by warplanes and helicopters as well as the shelling by the regime forces on Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa. *** The following are news stories from the US Department of Defense website (http://www.defense.gov/News) : *** Coalition Strikes Kill High-Value ISIS Members July 24, 2018, SOUTHWEST ASIA -- US-led Coalition strikes have killed six Islamic State of Iraq and Syria leaders and planners since April 24, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials announced today. The removal of these leaders has prevented ISIS external attack planning, facilitation and operations targeting Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Sweden, officials said. Munawwar al-Mutayari, a Syria-based ISIS member planning external attacks to be carried out in Saudi Arabia, was killed by a coalition kinetic strike April 24. A Belgian, Soufiane Makouh, who came to Syria to plan attacks against the U.S and its interests, was killed by a kinetic strike June 2. On June 12, coalition forces conducted a kinetic strike against Simak, an ISIS intelligence official linked to a cell plotting attacks in Sweden. Two additional individuals directly associated with the Sweden attack plot, Abu Awf and Abu-Quddamah, were killed on June 24.
