The Carnage Against Iraqi Sunni Muslim Areas Continues by US-Led Coalition, Iraqi and Kurdish Forces, Hundreds Killed, Cities Destroyed September 5, 2017 Editor's Note about reporting on the US-Led war in Iraq The US-led coalition which fights the Islamic State in northern Iraq consists of US-led NATO forces, Iraqi Shi'i government forces, Iranian-backed Shi'i militias, and Kurdish Peshmerga forces. The coalition's continuous attacks have resulted in the killing of tens of thousands of Iraqi Sunni Muslim Arabs and the eviction of hundreds of thousands as a result of the destruction of their cities and villages. Millions of Iraqi Sunni Muslim Arabs have left their cities and villages as the fighting intensified towards an all-attack by the US-led coalition on Mosul. The end outcome has been evicting (ethnic cleansing of) Sunni Muslim Arabs from the upper Euphrates region of northwestern Iraq and northeastern Syria. The larger context for understanding the Iraq-Syrian wars is that these wars contribute to the implementation of the Zionist-Israeli plan of destroying the Arab Middle Eastern states in preparation for the establishment of the greater Israeli empire, from the Nile of Egypt to the Euphrates of Iraq. The following news stories from the official US and Iraqi websites do not mention any civilian casualties, as all reported deaths are claimed to be for ISIS members, who are killed in air strikes and bombardment on cities! Needless to say that independent sources are hard to find or report from. Thus, the following is a documentation of the death and destruction, as reported basically in such official website. Other independent reporting will be presented whenever available. One of these independent websites, which provides some reporting on Iraq is yaqein, whose stories are also posted here but in Arabic, with English headlnes.

The following are news stories from the independent Iraqi Arabic news agency, Yaqein ( http://yaqein.net/ ): ***
*** The following are news stories from a pro-Iraqi government website (http://www.iraqinews.com/), which usually reports those who are killed by Iraqi government attacks as Islamic State fighters, implying no civilians were killed by bombing residential neighborhoods: *** Heavy shelling by Coalition jets leave 30 IS militants killed in Anbar by Nehal Mostafa Sep 4, 2017, 11:52 pm Anbar (IraqiNews.com) -- Around thirty Islamic State militants were killed in heavy shelling by U.S.-led Coalition jets that targeted the group’s locations in western Anbar, a security source was quoted saying. “Coalition jets heavily shelled Qaim, Annah and Rawa in an unprecedented way,” the source told Alghad Press on Monday. “The shelling targeted pivotal IS locations including three rest houses in Qaim.” “The jets also pounded more than location in Qaim as well as anti-aircraft in al-Ebeidi and another in al-Bayda region,” the source added. “In Rawa, the shelling targeted al-Qadisiya district and Old Rawa, in addition to a rest house, two checkpoints and a leader’s house. In Annah, heavier shelling occurred, targeting al-Chichan and Dalah districts as well as Jameela region, Hasa village and al-Rayhana region,” the source said, adding that the shelling left more than 30 militants killed and 17 others wounded. The militants, according to the source, are on high alert. Internet communications are blocked in each of Qaim and Annah. On Sunday, the militant group reportedly tightened measures on citizens in Qaim, al-Ebeidi town and Okashat region. Curfew has been imposed since the morning. Tens of leaders, who likely ran away from Aiyadhiya and Tal Afar, arrived on Saturday in Qaim. Last week, the Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell said the air force bombarded six IS locations in Qaim, killing 94 members, including a senior security commander and a close aide to the group’s supreme leader abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Anbar’s western towns of Anah, Qaim and Rawa are still held by the extremist group since 2014, when it occupied one third of Iraq to proclaim a self-styled Islamic Caliphate. Iraqi troops were able to return life back to normal in the biggest cities of Anbar including Fallujah, Ramadi and others after recapturing them. Fighter jets from the Iraqi army and the international coalition regularly pound IS locations in the province. Iraqi jets shelling kills five Islamic State leaders northeast of Diyala by Nehal Mostafa Sep 3, 2017, 10:13 pm Diyala (IraqiNews.com) -- Five Islamic State leaders were killed on Sunday as Iraqi fighter jets bombarded one of the group’s locations in northeast of Diyala, a military source said. “A fighter jet targeted on Sunday evening an IS location in Basateen al-Makheisa region, northeast of Diyala,” Lt.Ghassan al-Ebeidi, of the Iraqi army said in press remarks. “The shelling left five IS leaders killed,” he added. Last week, five militants were killed in an airstrike launched by Iraqi jets in Wadi Thilab, located in Neft Khana basin, northeast of Diyala. Attacks launched by Islamic State militants against security troops, the pro-government forces and civilians surged over the past few weeks in northeast of Diyala, which urge the Iraqi forces to prevent the militants infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and Al-Azeem town. IS holds pivotal regions that link between each of Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk, posing threats to the liberated regions. Government and military commanders are expected to wage operations at other IS havens across the country, including Diyala. Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State Sunni extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014. Islamic State families flee northern Salahuddin to unknown destinations by Nehal Mostafa Sep 3, 2017, 3:25 pm Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) -- A local source from Salahuddin province has revealed an unprecedented ‘overnight displacement’ by families of the Islamic State militants from north of the province, as liberation offensive nears. “The western coast of Shirqat, north of Salahuddin, has seen an unprecedented displacement by families of the IS members that take place overnight toward unknown destinations, leaving their houses empty,” the source told AlSumaria News on Sunday. “Complete liberation of Tal Afar in short time was a huge shock to IS members and leaders,” the source, who preferred anonymity, said. “The displacement of families is like a collective runaway, especially that the liberation offensives of Hawija and other regions are nearing.” The Iraqi army said in September its forces recaptured the western coast of Shirqat, located south of Mosul, on the west bank of the Tigris river, after being surrounded for months by Iraqi troops and the pro-government Shi’ite militias. The eastern coast of Shirqat, is still under the IS control. Pivotal regions that link between each of Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk, are still held by the militants which poses threats to the liberated regions. Iraqi troops are urged to prevent the militants infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and Al-Azeem town. The government is expected to launch military offensives at the few remaining IS havens, including in Salahuddin. Coalition warplanes kill 22 Islamic State fighters in Anbar by Mohamed Mostafa Sep 2, 2017, 5:46 pm Anbar (IraqiNews.com) -- Warplanes from the United States-led coalition killed 22 Islamic State militants in western Anbar on Saturday, a senior paramilitary leader was quoted saying. Qatari al-Obaidi, a commander at the tribal forces in Anbar, told Alsumaria News that coalition fighter jets killed 22 members of the extremist group who were in a convoy heading to the town of Annah (210 west of Ramadi) coming from Qaim. He said seven vehicles driven by the militants were destroyed in the raid. Islamic State militants are still holding the towns of Qaim, Rawa and Anna, in western Anbar, since 2014, when they occupied a third of Iraq to proclaim their self-styled “caliphate”. So far, there has not been a wide-scale campaign to retake those regions, but occasional offensives by government forces and allied Popular Mobilization Forces have managed to take over several surrounding villages. The Iraqi government declared victory over Islamic State in Mosul, the group’s former capital in Iraq, in July, and said it was going to proceed towards other group holdouts, including Anbar. Government troops are currently preparing to expel the group from Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk. Late July, Iraqi army warplanes reportedly dropped millions of messages on western Anbar telling locals that liberation offensives for the province were nearing, and advising them to stay away from militants’ deployments. The convoy, initially consisting of 17 buses and other support vehicles, was halted in its move toward Iraq on Aug. 29 by coalition strikes that prevented its movement to the east. The coalition and its Iraqi partners were not a party to the agreement between the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Syrian regime and ISIS to allow these experienced fighters to transit territory under Syrian regime control to the Iraqi border. Officials pointed out the coalition has been clear that in support of its Iraqi partners, it will not allow the movement of ISIS fighters near the border or onto sovereign Iraqi soil. Food and Water Deliveries The coalition has never struck the convoy, officials noted, and has allowed food and water deliveries to reach the stranded women and children. "The coalition will continue to take action against ISIS whenever and wherever it is able to do so without harming noncombatants, they added. Coalition leaders have communicated a course of action to the Russians, providing the Syrian regime an opportunity to remove the women and children from this situation. "The Syrian regime is letting women and children suffer in the desert. This situation is completely on them," said Army Lt. Gen. Stephen J. Townsend, the combined joint task force commander. Over the past week, six of the 17 buses have returned westward toward Palmyra, back in Syrian regime territory, unimpeded by any coalition action, officials said, adding that the coalition continues to monitor the remaining 11 buses and communicate with Russian officials who advise the Syrian regime.
