Scores of Syrians Killed in the Continuous Genocidal War on Sunni Muslim Arabs

Editor's Note:

The coalition which fights the Islamic State and other Sunni groups in Syria consists of US-led NATO forces, Russian forces, Syrian Alewite government forces, Iranian-backed Shi'i militias, and Kurdish peshmerga forces. The coalition's continuous attacks have resulted in the killing of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian Sunni Muslim Arabs and the eviction of millions of them as a result of the destruction of their cities and villages.

The end outcome is going to be the weakening and possible dismantling of Iraqi and Syrian states as well as the eviction (ethnic cleansing of) Sunni Muslim Arabs, particularly from the upper Euphrates region of northwestern Iraq and northeastern Syria. 

The larger context for understanding the Syrian war (and other wars in the Middle East) is that it contributes to the implementation of the Zionist-Israeli plan of destroying the Arab Middle Eastern states in preparation for the establishment of the greater Israeli empire, from the Nile of Egypt to the Euphrates of Iraq.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The warplanes bombed Hamuriya town in the Eastern Ghouta which killed 3 civilians and injured others, while 2 mortar shells fell on areas in Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta, no information about casualties.

Damascus province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces shell areas in the eastern outskirts of the capital with 17 missiles at least, where the regime targeted areas in Qaboun neighborhood with 8 missiles at least believed to be ground-to-ground, and also they targeted with 9 other rockets areas in Tishreen neighborhood at the outskirts of the capital, no information about injuries.

Violent clashes renewed in countryside of Hama and shelling target areas in its countryside

Hama province

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Islamic factions launched Grad missiles on areas at Karnaz town in the northern countryside of Hama, which is controlled by the regime forces, no information about casualties, while the helicopters dropped barrel bombs on areas in Zayzoun village in the western country of Hama, no information about casualties, while warplanes carried out raids on areas in the town of KafrZitta and al-Jisiyyat village and Tal al-Sakhr in the northern countryside of Hama, accompanied by intense shelling by the regime forces On areas in the vicinity of al-Sakhr village, no information about casualties.

In the same context, the violent clashes renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and jihadist groups consist mostly of Uzbek, Turkestan and Caucasian fighters in the vicinity of Marzaf town in the northwestern country of Hamra.

Factions of Damascus battle withdraw from the outskirts of Damascus and more than 200 were killed of both parties

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by several reliable sources that the Islamic factions of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, Rahman Corps and the Islamic movement of Ahrar al-Sham withdrew from all its remaining points in the industrial area between the neighborhoods of Jobar and Qaboun at the eastern outskirts of Damascus, the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the factions withdrew to Jobar neighborhood as a result of the madly intense shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and due to intense raids by warplanes on the capital Damascus.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the battle since its beginning on the 9th of March until the 25th of the same month, and documented significant casualties in the ranks of both parties, where the observatory documented the death of 82 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including 9 officers at least. The Syrian Observatory also documented the death of at least 115 fighters of Rahman Corps, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham. The violent clashes, bombings and exchange of shelling have also injured tens of both parties which may raise the death toll.

Casualties and injuries in aerial bombing at the western countryside of Idlib

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The helicopters dropped barrel bombs the southern outskirts of Jisr al-Shughur city and al-Kfir village, which killed a citizen woman and injured several people, while the warplanes carried out several raids on areas in Idlib city, no information about casualties, warplanes also bombed areas in Kafr Nabl town in the western countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man, no information about injuries, while warplanes carried out 4 raids at least on areas in the city of Maarrat al-Nu’man, no information about casualties.

After killing about 60 civilians in Idlib province… Escalation of bombing kills 16 persons in Idlib city

Idlib province:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that at least 16 person including women were killed in Idlib city last night, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 16 persons between prisoners and two prison guards, they were killed in airstrikes by warplanes believed to be Russian targeted the outskirts of a prison of the Executive Force in the city, also SOHR received information that some persons have been killed by gunshots when they were under pursuit by members of the Executive Force when the escaped the prison.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 59 civilians at least, including 22 children under the age of eighteen and 19 citizen women over the age of eighteen, also the more than 160 others were injured in the bombing and artillery shelling, some of whom have had permanent disabilities, amputations and serious injuries, while some others are still in serious situations, which may raise the death toll.

Warplanes raid on the western countryside of Aleppo and casualties and injuries in aerial bombardment at al-Raqqah city

Warplanes bombed this morning areas in the town of Darat Azza in the western countryside of Aleppo, while 2 rocket shells landed after midnight of yesterday on 2 areas in the vicinity of Khalidiya neighborhood in Aleppo city, no information about casualties.

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that 2 citizen women and a girl were killed in bombing by warplanes believed to be Russian, which targeted yesterday night areas in Al-Raqqah city, the main stronghold for the “Islamic State” Organization in Syria.

U.S., Russia Continue Syrian Airspace Security Talks

WASHINGTON, March 24, 2017 —

 The Defense Department today held a video conference with Russian defense ministry counterparts, Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis announced in a statement.

The call was co-chaired by Ken Handelman, performing the duties of assistant secretary of defense for International Security Affairs, and Navy Rear Adm. Michael J. Dumont, the Joint Staff’s deputy director for strategic initiatives.

“This was the latest session of our dialogue with the Russian ministry of defense under the memorandum of understanding for the safety of flight in Syria to ensure that each side continues to adhere to agreed-upon measures to prevent incidents in Syria,” Davis said.

Department officials discussed ongoing work regarding the safety of operations since the two sides last met, he said, and each side reiterated the utility of adhering to the memorandum of understanding to avoid accidents and misunderstandings in Syria.

Today's meeting follows previous video conferences between the Defense Department and the Russian defense ministry on this topic.

U.S. and coalition military forces continued to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria yesterday, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials reported today.

Operation Inherent Resolve - Targeted Operations Against ISIS.

 U.S. Central Command continues to work with partner nations to conduct targeted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria as part of the comprehensive strategy to degrade and defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.

Officials reported details of yesterday’s strikes, noting that assessments of results are based on initial reports.

Strikes in Syria

Near Raqqa in Syria, coalition military forces conducted 22 strikes consisting of 44 engagements against ISIS targets.

The strikes engaged eight ISIS tactical units; destroyed seven fighting positions, five vehicles, three improvised bombs, two tunnels, and a vehicle bomb; damaged five supply routes and a bridge; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.

Strikes in Iraq

In Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 13 strikes consisting of 45 engagements against ISIS targets, coordinated with and in support of Iraq’s government:

-- Near Kisik, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed a command-and-control node.

-- Near Mosul, four strikes engaged four ISIS tactical units and an ISIS sniper team; destroyed 11 fighting positions, two rocket-propelled grenade systems and an artillery system; damaged nine supply routes and a fighting position; and suppressed two ISIS tactical units and an ISIS mortar team.

In Iraq, coalition military forces conducted six strikes consisting of 65 engagements against ISIS targets, coordinated with and in support of the government of Iraq.
